[Marry Me, My Devil Lord]

[Episode 16 Shengu Feng Confessed His Love to Mei Shiqi]

Then you must both

love and hate this person.

Otherwise, why would you bite me?

This is...

bit by me?

My lord, why are you blushing?

Are you sick?

It's just the heat.

I'm fine. Get out.

Yes.

Look, it’s Deputy Shi.

He looks different today,

handsome

and elegant.

He's totally like a different person.

Embroidery from Suzhou

and boots from Huaiyang.

Is there any good news today?

I saw his back outside the door.

I thought it was Mr. Leng.

My lord.

Greetings.

How's your injury?

I'm fine now.

I'm concerned about Luo Qingchen's poisoning case.

I'm here to ask for reinstatement to investigate it.

As for Luo Qingchen's case,

I have requested Mei Shiqi to assist me.

You don't need to worry about it.

Why?

What did Mei Shiqi tell you?

My lord, you don't trust me anymore?

I've never suspected you.

It's just that you are deeply

involved in these two cases.

I'm afraid if you keep investigating,

Prince Jing and the Secret Guards Department will target you,

and you may fall into the enemy's trap.

Well, now I...

You can rest for a while.

If I need anything,

I'll come to you.

Yes.

You look good.

You have a date?

No, my lord. You're making fun of me.

I saw you sending Her Highness back

when I was in the carriage yesterday.

My lord, Her Highness and I...

No need to explain.

You're my deputy,

and the best swordsman in the capital.

What's wrong with you being Prince Jing's son-in-law?

Just remember that

I have faith in you

and I trust you very much.

Thank you, my lord.

I'll keep that in mind

and won't let you down.

This is the most embarrassing thing in my life.

Mei Shiqi.

Are you a dog?

Why did you bite him?

Besides, he's not Lü Dongbin.

How are we going to get along?

I'll apologize to him.

No.

If I apologize to him,

he'll definitely find a way to get back at me.

Stinky fox.

But he...

has no proof that it was me who bit him.

Maybe I should just deny it.

No, no.

What should I do?

Has anyone ever told you that you're childish?

You...

When did you come?

When you called yourself a dog.

Fine.

I admit

that I was drunk

and offended you.

It was my fault.

You can do whatever you want.

I forgot such trivial things.

Don't worry about it.

Really?

You won't bring it up again?

Not a word.

Deal.

Instead of thinking about that,

you'd better focus on the investigation.

If you fail,

I won't spare you.

Yes, sir.

Protect the priest.

Priest, how is your injury?

I have some internal injuries.

It should be fine.

Did you see his face clearly?

He was wearing a mask,

so I couldn't see his face.

But judging from his clothes and moves,

it should be the same masked man who attacked you the other day,

seeking revenge.

Your Majesty, I request the deployment of skilled men

to ensure the priest's safety

and thwart the traitors' conspiracy.

OK.

You may arrange it.

Mr. Jiang,

I have a request.

I hope you can assign Mei Shiqi

to take on the responsibility of protection.

What do you think, Mr. Jiang?

Mei Shiqi is assisting me with the investigation.

Please find someone else.

I have a deep connection with Miss Shiqi.

If she can protect and take care of me,

my injuries should heal much faster.

And I will return her to you by then.

I hope you can fulfill this request.

If it's something else,

I will surely fulfill it.

ButI cannot grant this request.

Leng, the priest has always lived modestly

and rarely makes requests.

Today, I will decide for you.

Fulfill his request.

Yes, Your Majesty.

[Investigation Bureau]

Take all these things with me.

Mei Shiqi.

Yes?

Are you that happy to work for

a mysterious guy?

Of course.

I can finally escape from your evil hands

and do anything I want at will.

By the way, did you see my sword?

Help me find it.

Stinky fox.

Just tell His Majesty if you don't want me to leave.

All you do is scold me every day.

You failed at the critical moment.

[Shuiyun Residence]

Master, why are you sitting here alone?

Are you waiting for me?

Master?

Miss Shiqi, from now on,

you can consider Shuiyun Residence

as your own home.

They will

take care of all your needs.

Master,

I'm here to protect you,

not for a vacation.

It's okay.

Only with a good mood

can one concentrate.

As long as you're in a good mood,

I believe my safety

will be guaranteed.

These are cosmetics from Zhiyan Studio in Suzhou,

and jewelry from the Xinluo Palace.

Thank you, master.

But I don't need

these things.

It's okay.

I've also prepared many hidden weapons,

[Secret Martial Arts]

medicine, and secret martial arts book for you.

That can do.

Thank you, master.

Miss Shiqi.

If you need anything else,

feel free to ask.

I will surely satisfy you.

By the way, master,

do you have any other empty rooms?

I brought a big thing with me.

Bring it up.

Put it here.

Of course.

Miss Shiqi,

how do you like the new dish today?

Not bad. Master, have you finished?

Let's go back.

Wait.

Actually, I brought you here today

because I have something important

to tell you.

Go ahead.

Since the moment I met you,

I've been wanting to say this to you.

No matter how exquisite the sights and flavors,

they pale in comparison to your matchless beauty.

I hope you can accept my sincere heart.

Let our love shine like a bright pearl

and never extinguish.

Mei Shiqi.

Why are you hesitating?

This is the ideal husband you've been wanted

for over ten years?

Why are you thinking about that stinky fox now?

His feelings for you

can't compare to half of Shengu Feng's.

My lord.

Are you kneeling to punish yourself?

This pearl is the heirloom of the Shengu family.

Please return it to me now.

Since it's a family heirloom,

we will take good care of it.

Do you remember?

It was here

where you confessed your love for me.

I... That was you...

Good.

Go on.

Priest,

we'd better go back.

It seems like your internal injury

is getting worse.
