[The killer bride]

[Episode 22]

Stop there.

Master Mao.

What do you want this time?

The situation on the border is volatile.

I am here to take the head of Si Yueyao, the spy of Daqiu,

to deter the enemy state

and demonstrate the prestige of our Qing State.

This is also for the greater good.

It gives you a chance

to prove your loyalty to His Majesty, Lord He.

It's killing two birds with one stone.

Lord He,

sorry for any offence in advance.

Do it.

Wait!

Master Mao.

I didn't know our Qing State's prestige

needs to be demonstrated through a woman's head.

Your Highness, don't forget that

Si Yueyao was the leader of Daqiu's spies.

You...

Master Mao.

Even if you want to deter the enemy state,

you don't have to use such bloody means, do you?

Only by letting all the people see it

can it have a deterrent effect.

I actually have a way

that can meet your needs

while keeping my wife's body intact, Master Mao.

If you can handle this matter well, Lord He,

I'll return the commander's token to you immediately.

May I ask how you plan to do it?

Cremation.

What did you say?

The raging flames

will not only burn away Si Yueyao's sins during her lifetime,

but also let the people see

how the spies of the enemy state

will end up.

What do you think, Master Mao?

Good.

No wonder His Majesty favors you so much, Lord He.

I'm deeply impressed as well.

Then I'll

watch closely how you handle this.

Let's go.

He Yunxing.

How can Yueyao's body remain intact if you do this?

And how can she possibly rest in peace?

Your Highness.

What position are you in to object?

You...

Changning.

You've indeed gone too far.

I didn't expect He Yunxing to be so cold-blooded and heartless.

Yueyao loved him so much,

yet he actually...

Changning.

If you can't bear to watch,

let's go back first.

No.

I must send Yueyao off for the last time.

Bring me Si Yueyao's autopsy report.

Yes, sir.

Why is the age left blank?

Sir.

According to the official records,

Si Yueyao is 18 years old.

But after examining the body,

I found that the deceased was actually at least 25 years old.

Do you know the masks

involved in Qiao Niang's case?

I do, sir.

They were used by Daqiu's spies for disguise.

Their craftsmanship is superb,

making it hard to distinguish between the real and the fake.

How dare he deceive me!

Master Mao.

You're a man of your word.

Now that I've got it done,

please return my token

and reinstate me.

I always keep my word.

Thank you, Master Mao.

He Yunxing.

You better behave yourself.

Otherwise, the next one to be set on fire will be you.

You see?

If I hadn't replaced you with a man of sacrifice in disguise,

this Lord He

would now be stepping over your corpse to get his job back.

Now you should believe me.

You're half Daqiu.

And now in the Qing State,

you're officially dead.

Your best option now

is to defect to Daqiu.

You're right.

This is my best option now.

But after all, I come from a military family.

I can't be some nobody.

I want to meet your leader, Sui Feng.

It's not easy

to meet our leader.

What are your conditions?

I want you to kill He Yunxing with your own hands.

This is for you.

Is it pretty?

It is.

From now on, I'll always carry this sachet

with me.

Yueyao.

Where are you?

Yueyao?

Yueyao!

He Yunxing!

Let me ask you.

Four years ago,

was it you who reported my mother's identity as a spy?

Is that how you got into the Shisi Government Office?

Yes.

Did you know my identity,

and the fact that I'm General Si's biological daughter all along?

All these years,

you've gone to great lengths to keep me by your side.

You just wanted to use me to get close to the Si family, right?

I didn't.

Still trying to deceive me?

He Yunxing.

Go to hell!

Why didn't you dodge?

Si Yueyao.

I sacrificed so much for you,

yet you've never trusted me.

I took that stab

as returning your favor.

This sachet...

I'm giving it back to you!

From now on,

we'll part ways,

owing each other nothing.

Catch the spy!

Catch the spy!

Yueyao?

You...

Wait.

What happened to you?

Yueyao did this?

Si Yueyao stabbed you?

She's indeed not dead.

After her!

Yes, sir!

Master Mao!

Mr. Gu.

Come here.

Go.

Okay.
