[Wanna Be]

Now, it's time

for the newcomers' entrance.

As is Top Line's

long-standing tradition,

the floating runway awaits.

Only by successfully crossing this runway

can you truly be a part of ACME.

Oh my God.

Quite a lot of rules.

Nobody can pass it, can they?

Don't be nervous.

Failure won't lead to elimination.

But success will lead to a big reward.

A gift package worth 50,000.

Male or female,

pick anything you like.

I'll go first.

- But... - I'll go.

Everyone has only one chance.

Ready.

Start.

- Let's go all out! - Let's go all out!

Seven, eight, nine.

Oh no. That's terrible.

She's good.

She's almost there.

She's arriving.

That's right.

She's here.

She made it.

She made it.

Awesome.

She's awesome.

Good, indeed.

Martial arts make her extraordinary.

Cool.

Come on.

Your turn.

Come on.

Relax, Fan.

Go for it.

Shall we bet?

Five hundred.

He'll fail.

Deal.

Pay me.

It's a little bit unfortunate.

But luckily, not all of you failed.

Let's congratulate the martial arts girl,

Zhou Lu!

I'm going to the washroom.

Wait a minute.

It wasn't easy to set up the runway.

Let's not just dismantle it like this.

The test for newcomers is over.

Shall we, the seniors,

also give a performance?

Let's show them

and let them see

what the best model of Top Line can do.

Show us.

Yijing, you go.

Crush them.

Come on, Yijing.

Do it.

Show us.

There you go, Yijing.

Why did she stop?

What's going on?

Ah!

Yijing.

It's okay.

She's good at swimming. She's fine.

Ms. Han, come out.

Mistakes happen sometimes.

Don't be embarrassed.

It doesn't feel right.

Yijing!

What's wrong?

What are you waiting for?

Save her!

Han Yijing!

Ms. Han.

[Episode 8] [You And Destiny]

Yijing, you're awake.

How do you feel now?

You freaked me out.

Why did you suddenly...?

I've just been exhausted lately.

I can't sleep well. It's okay.

Thank goodness.

Glad you're awake.

Yijing, you have to rest very well.

I'm okay.

Fine.

If you don't mind...

Simin, let's go out.

I should go.

Sorry, Ms. Ling.

I disgraced you again.

Do you know Jia Fan saved you?

Without me, he wouldn't have come this far.

He should repay me.

Fine.

Now, you're even.

Keep your distance, then.

Don't let people gossip.

I think highly of him.

If he passes the contest

without causing any more trouble,

I'll bring him to the international market.

So...

So, you aren't worried about me.

You don't want me to disturb him

and ruin your fortunes.

I almost forgot again.

You're not only my aunt

but also the founder of ACME.

You have to prioritize

what's good for it.

Get some sleep.

Hope you'll recover tomorrow.

Otherwise, people will gossip.

Since you don't care for me,

why did you stop me from going to my mother?

Why must you keep me around?

Since it's your second time,

it needs to be even more persuasive.

Because I...

Because you inherited your dad's condition

and might lose your sight at any time?

Don't take it personally.

I'm just doing my job.

I have to know about every candidate.

Then why did you still pick me?

Because you have a story.

Then give me another chance.

Isn't it the perfect reason?

"A man working at a seafood shop

became a model

who may go blind at any time."

A tragic and mysterious story.

Thrilling, isn't it?

Keep me informed

about your eye condition.

And...

You must not let anyone know this

except your father.

I will decide

when you can tell others.

Take your time.

Make your choice.

Deal.

[Retinitis Pigmentosa]

Since you don't care for me,

why did you stop me from going to my mother?

Why must you keep me around?

[Bar]

Humph.

Since

you've corrected your mistake,

I will

barely forgive you.

As long as

you promise

you won't do it again,

you'll still be my good brother.

Practicing like this won't help.

In this game,

the most important trick

is to find the balance.

Very well.

Okay.

If it really rains

and the sun doesn't come out,

I'll give you my light

Before,

I always worked until the dawn.

I was too busy working

to look up

at the sky.

I remember it was in the hospital

that I watched the sunrise for the first time.

Luckily, his internal organs aren't injured.

He has a mild concussion

and a slight fracture in his left shoulder.

No more problems.

In a dozen days,

he may get out of the hospital.

Because of his eyes again, right?

Yes.

He can barely see now.

Your father's vision is narrowing sharply.

Soon he'll go blind.

Before he's fully used to blindness,

don't leave him alone.

He's old, after all.

If he's injured, there will be trouble.

At that time,

my father was in hospital.

I stayed there and expected the sunrise for a week.

Sadly, it was raining the whole week.

I was really unlucky.

Before he could leave the hospital,

I wrote a bucket list.

I listed twenty or thirty things

as if I had done them.

Unfortunately,

I lost the list.

Bucket list?

I don't care, actually.

But if someone picked it up

and read it,

they'd think I was just a sentimental mess.

Luckily enough,

I was young.

And I lost the list in the night.

I was listening to some sad music.

The atmosphere just saddened me.

Three years ago,

in Hengtai Hospital?

Yes.

Did I say Hengtai Hospital?

What's on your bucket list?

Do you still remember?

No.

Think hard.

I really can't remember.

How can someone

even forget his wishes?

To Watch the sunrise by the sea.

[1. To watch the sunrise by the sea.]

What about the second?

[2. To watch these movies for a day.] To watch movies for a day.

[The Shawshank Redemption] But I fell asleep after two movies.

And? Go on.

I can't remember.

"To get a pretty girlfriend."

"To take a road trip to Xizang."

"To have a barbecue

with my girlfriend,

an insanely spicy one."

"To take my father to try paragliding

and diving."

"To give him a ride around."

"To have an exciting dream."

A friend of mine

had a car accident three years ago.

Everybody told her

her future was over

and she could never recover.

She tried to kill herself, then.

But when she picked up that yellow sheet,

she suddenly felt she was terrible.

Someone

struggled so hard to live

for such simple wishes.

How could she give up like that?

So,

and tell him

She lived because of him.

I should thank her.
