Hya.

Your Highness!

Your Highness.

Are you all right?

Confess.

Who sent you?

It's... It's the prefect.

The prefect's guard Xu Wei.

(The West Market)

New cosmetics for sale.

Come have a look.

Come have a look.

Come on. Take a look.

Gentleman, you can get a good bargain.

What is this?

Good eye, gentleman.

This is the compass.

The stars, the five elements, and the sexagenary circle...

It can be used for anything mysterious.

It's so magic.

If I buy it for Yueling,

she'll be happy.

I'll take it.

Thirty taels, please.

Thirty taels?

Too expensive.

I won't take it, then.

What price do you prefer?

Five.

Five?

You...

Even the cost is higher.

I won't take it, then.

Come on, gentleman.

Fine, you can have it.

Come more often to buy something from me.

Did I offer too much?

I should have offered less.

Thank you, gentleman. Welcome again.

Someone's killed!

That female assassin.

- Go after her. - After her.

Where's she?

How did she run so fast?

(The House of Romance)

Hey, gentleman.

(The House of Romance)

Who's that?

Su Nian, it's me.

Mr. Xingyi, there you are.

I'm here to see Su Nian.

She's going to sleep.

How about you come another day?

I have something urgent to ask her.

I can't wait.

Mr. Xingyi.

Today on the West Market, I met the female assassin again.

She escaped after she was injured.

I followed her all the way here.

You keep talking

about the female assassin.

I'm not interested in her.

It's getting late.

I'm going to sleep.

You should go back.

You're injured.

You still think I'm the assassin?

I followed her here.

Worried about you,

I came in to check on you.

I've been learning a sword dance

but always fail to master it.

When I practiced just now, I was injured.

If you don't believe me

and still suspect me,

go ask the guards to arrest me.

Oh, I see.

Su Nian, how could you be so careless?

Let me check your hand.

Come and sit down.

Let me apply some ointment for you.

This will make you feel better.

Oh, no.

How have you been in Liuzhou lately?

I lost my jade pendant for no reason.

What about yours?

Everything's fine with me in the Capital City.

Don't worry.

This will sound normal.

(How have you been in Liuzhou lately?)

(She didn't mention what happened in the palace.)

(How could everything be fine?)

Your Highness, we found the track

of Mr. Shi Xuan near the West Hill.

What about the twenty thousand dan of grain?

Hasn't been found yet.

The grain can't disappear into thin air.

Nie Chen,

take another team

to search for the grain.

Yes.

But more refugees have come.

The remaining grain can only last one day, I'm afraid.

Open my private barn and distribute my grain.

Your Highness, isn't this inappropriate?

People may suspect.

I can't care too much now.

I must give priority to the refugees.

I'm going to the West Hill to look for Shi Xuan.

Maybe before we find him,

we will not know what exactly happened.

But Your Highness, your injury...

It's all right.

(The North Prince's Mansion)

Come on, Linmu.

Do you have nothing to do?

My duty is to protect you and Her Highness.

I don't need your protection.

Qianqian.

Your Grace.

Has His Highness written back?

Not yet.

Your Grace, a carrier pigeon.

Is it from His Highness?

His Highness was assassinated.

(His Highness was assassinated in Liuzhou, but he was all right.)

(His return journey will be postponed.)

(Have our guards stay alert just in case.)

Make way.

- Go search over there. - Yes.

- You guys go there. - Yes.

General,

what are you doing?

This is the North Prince's mansion.

Your Grace,

are you really going to Liuzhou?

Yes. He can't be safe unless we stay together.

Besiege them.

Imperial guards?

Who allows you to besiege this mansion?

Here's the decree from His Majesty.

The North Prince wants to rebel.

Everyone in his mansion will be grounded.

None of them can leave.

Rebel?

(Hall of Politics)

Your Majesty,

the grain delivered to Liuzhou was gone for no reason.

The North Prince suddenly had some grain.

Having illegal iron mines and hoarding grain,

it's so clear

that the North Prince wants to rebel.

Prime Minister has a point.

The North Prince had illegal iron mines

and that showed his intention of rebellion.

Your Majesty, it was benevolent of you

to punish him lightly.

Now, he has hoarded grain.

Your Majesty, don't let him go

just for the sake of your brotherhood.

Shiyu is my brother.

And he's using his grain on disaster relief.

This case remains inconclusive.

I need more time to find out the truth.

I think

this case is very clear.

The North Prince is nowhere to be found.

It further proves something wrong.

Even in this case,

there's no conclusive evidence

to prove His Highness's treason.

My fellow lords,

aren't you being too arbitrary?

Your Majesty, as far as I see...

Your Majesty.

An emperor must not be soft-hearted.

What the North Prince did is obvious.

As his uncle,

I feel sorry for him with deep regret.

But the national laws

allow no favoritism.

I've learned

your different points.

Now,

the North Prince's Mansion is sealed at the command of Prime Minister.

I won't deal with the rest

before he's back to the Capital City.

- Your Majesty, you... - I'm tired.

Say no more about this.

His Majesty still can't make up his mind.

Let's take action.

Yes, Prime Minister.

(Benign and Benevolent)

Your Highness.

Your Highness.

I asked a familiar imperial guard

for some information.

He said, the twenty thousand dan of grain delivered to Liuzhou

was gone with Shi Xuan, the Minister of Revenue.

His Highness took grain out of his private barn for the refugees.

Isn't that a good thing?

Why do they say he rebelled?

It is a good thing to feed the refugees.

But the problem is His Highness used his private barn.

So, he was slandered for treason.

Where is he now?

Has he recovered?

His Highness...

He's missing.

Oh, no.

I have to go there for him.

I must stay with him.

- Or he... - Your Highness,

the whole mansion is besieged now.

I don't think we can go out.

Yeah, Yueling.

I just checked around.

Even the back door and the corners

are guarded by the imperial guards.

What do we do?

Oh, you're all here.

I don't need to look for you everywhere.

Your Highness?

How did you get in?

It doesn't matter.

What matters is I'm here to see you.

See me?

Yeah. I'm here to see you.

Now, Zhou Shiyu is in big trouble.

I don't think he can come back.

Why don't you think about marrying someone else?

Our prince is really charming.

(Talent) Your Highness,

our prince isn't convicted yet.

What do you mean?

Yeah.

Her Grace will consider marrying anyone but you.

You'd better leave now.

Or I can't help punching you.

Look.

Look at these shortsighted people.

Under such circumstances,

you're still so ungrateful.

Your princess

can live a great life with me

and what's so bad about it?

If I go with you, I can leave here?

Are you powerful enough?

Funny.

In the Capital City, who dares to stop me?

Your Highness, think twice.

I can go with you.

But now I'm the North Princess Consort.

If I go with you,

shouldn't I first see His Majesty and get rid of the engagement?

- Your Grace. - Yueling.

Don't do that.

That's good.

You should get rid of it.

I'm taking you to His Majesty now.

Your Highness,

don't fall for it.

Your Grace.

You're right.

I'm going to the palace with you.

Your Grace.

Your Grace, think before you go.

Yeah. His Highness is coming back soon.

- Think more carefully. - Yueling, I don't agree.

I've made up my mind.

I'll pick him.

You will?

What are you waiting for? Let's go.

- Your Grace. - Yueling.

All right.

Let's go.

- Yueling. - Your Grace.

Your Majesty,

Princess Ashina Zhu is here to see you.

Isn't she grounded in Shiyu's mansion?

The South Prince brought her here.

I'm not sure why she is here.

Get her in.

Yes.

Greetings, Your Majesty. I'm Ashina Zhu.

I guess you came here so late

for the North Prince, right?

He'll in no case rebel.

Please investigate clearly, Your Majesty.

Why are you sure he won't rebel?

I haven't known him for a long time.

But I believe he isn't as useless or lecherous

as people say he is.

He has helped a lot of civilians

without telling anyone.

The mission in Liuzhou is difficult.

To pacify refugees and distribute grain,

he made every effort,

but no one praised him.

Now, the grain is gone.

Some people can't wait to frame him.

What are they really up to?

Hoarding grain means treason.

What proof do they have?

When others can think of this,

how can the North Prince not consider it?

Even if he knew he would be suspected,

he still distributed his own grain decisively.

And he's been badly injured.

Even I feel aggrieved for him.

Looks like someone cares for him now.

Don't worry, Princess Zhu.

I grew up with him.

I will have this case investigated

to vindicate him.

What do you mean?

Your Majesty, please allow me to go to Liuzhou for the North Prince.

You get up first.

Please approve, Your Majesty.

Are you saying

you're going to Liuzhou personally?

Yes. He and I are engaged.

Now, he's guilty. I can't stay out of this.

How about you check this first?

(For the Princess's time, the North Prince would break off the engagement.)

He asked to break off the engagement with me?

Her Grace said

she would ask for a termination of engagement

and then go back with me, huh?

Why hasn't she come out yet?

Your Highness,

I told you she fooled you.

I'll wait a bit longer.

I'll break them up soon.

Your Highness, let's go back.

Has Her Grace come out?

I just got to know

Her Grace left a long time ago.

What?

I've been waiting here the whole night,

having nothing to eat or sleep.

But she left so quickly.

Fine.

She went too far, huh?

Don't blame me, then.

Your Highness,

I told you Her Grace was unreliable.

Shut up. Let's go back.

All right.

(Liuzhou)

Wake up.

Philanthropist Wei is here.

- Come this way. - He's here with some grain.

It's for everybody.

Don't squeeze. You'll all have some.

- It's for everybody. - Take it.

It's yours.

- It's for everybody. - Take it.

Don't panic.

(Luckily, some philanthropists help people.)

It's for all of you.

- Thank you, Philanthropist Wei. - Here. Take it.

Greetings, Your Highness.

Where's His Highness?

I heard he was assassinated.

Where is he now?

His Highness has been searching

for the lost Mr. Shi on the West Hill.

You can wait for him here.

Your Highness,

you can't go any farther.

Fight.

Shiyu.

Yueling, what are you doing here?

How's your injury?

It's all right.

(Auspicious and Fortunate) Where are you keeping Her Grace?

I was waiting the whole night.

Believe it or not, I'll crush...

Crush this house.

- Bring it on. - Come on.

Come on. I dare you.

How do you have the nerve to ask?

Since my sister left with you,

she hasn't been back yet.

- That's right. - Where are you keeping here?

Where are you keeping Her Grace?

- Yeah. - Where?

Give Her Grace back to us!

Where are you keeping her?

Stop playing innocent.

Give me back my future wife!

Nonsense!

- He's playing innocent. - Yeah. Give her to us.

You know what?

You lost Her Highness.

We should have asked you for her.

What are you yelling for?

Yeah.

How dare you even come?

Rather treasonous. How dare they talk to me like this?

Shut up and hand over my sister.

- Hand her over. - Hurry.

- Hand her over! - Give back Her Highness!

Your Highness, let's go back.

They outnumber us.

Why would we go?

I'm not scared of them.

Your Highness, His Majesty ordered

no outsiders

should approach anyone here.

Please go back to your own mansion.

Am I an outsider?

- Exactly. - Exactly.

Let's go.

Don't go.

Stay if you dare.

Hey, don't go.

Get out of here.

Here's water. And a boat.

Let's go find Mr. Shi Xuan.

All right.

This cave is so dark.

Can the missing Mr. Shi be here?

My men tracked down here,

but didn't find him.

Be careful.

Watch out!

Why are you so badly injured?

I'm fine.

Don't worry.

Yueling,

how come you're here?

Isn't my mansion sealed?

I begged His Majesty.

Did you

read the decree?

Then,

we're no longer engaged.

You don't need to risk your life for me.

Why did you still come?

You once saved my life.

I want to save you for this once, too.

And you're in trouble now.

Everyone in the Capital City says you'll rebel.

How can I sit around and do nothing?

You don't think I'll rebel?

You won't.

Listen.

Someone's there.

Can it be Shi Xuan?

But there's no more road ahead.

How can we save him?

I have an idea.

Yueling, I think I found him.

Who's he?

Shi Xuan.

Mr. Shi.

Mr. Shi.

Mr. Shi, wake up.

Mr. Shi, it's me.

Your Highness.

Your Highness.

Let's go.

Your Highness,

I failed my duty

and lost the hope for Liuzhou people.

I'm too ashamed to leave.

Mr. Shi, you had a hard time.

Can you tell me

how you lost the twenty thousand dan of grain?

Who are you?

You must be Mr. Shi from the Capital City, huh?

I'm Xu Wei, the guard of the Prefect of Liuzhou.

At the command of the prefect,

I'm here to receive you.

Thank you.

Xu Wei.

It's him again.

They not only cheated me of the grain,

but also tricked us up to the hill.

When we were up here,

they revealed their true colors as bandits,

killed all the soldiers from the Capital City,

and imprisoned me in this cave.

They keep you alive

to set me up, right?

Yes.

They forced me

to write a letter in my blood

to accuse you of treason.

Never would I give in!

So, I've been imprisoned here all the time.

These bandits are so evil.

This is not a place to dawdle.

Let's get out of here.

Be careful.

Slow down.

What's the smell?

Oh, no. Toxic smoke.

Let's hurry.

Yueling.
