Su Nian,

so,

you let go of that man last time

and now you can make use of him.

Actually, I'm not sure if he'll come.

As a lady, gorgeous, smart,

mysterious, and stylish,

you're irresistible to all men in this world.

It's so sweet of you.

(Benign and Benevolent)

Greetings, Your Highness.

A lady outside our mansion

asked me to give Mr. Xingyi this invitation.

(Invitation)

Lady?

Lady?

Who is that lady?

"Gentleman, I adored you as I met you.

After you left, I asked around

and finally got to know you worked for the princess.

I hereby invite you

to a chat in the House of Romance."

Adore?

She adores me?

Why do I feel scared?

Maybe that is only

her pleasantry.

She just wants to talk, I guess.

Oh,

have you found the evidence for her being an assassin?

No, actually.

So,

stop slandering Miss Su.

This is weird.

I'd like to see what she's up to.

You're going again?

Don't make trouble!

I'll go with you.

Wait for me.

Hey, Your Grace.

Your Highness,

Her Highness went out again.

Are our dark guards following her?

Nie Chen is following her with his men.

Shiyu.

Shiyu.

- Shiyu. - Your Grace.

Since you came back from Dongyu,

you've seldom visited me.

Lately, I have too many official and private things to do.

Yeah, Your Grace.

His Highness has to go to the palace soon.

You're going there as soon as I come.

Shiyu, are you alienating me

just because you're engaged?

Princess of Dongyu is my consort.

I should care about her.

Shiyu, now you really

care for that Dongyu woman, huh?

Luoyi, she is your cousin-in-law.

Show some respect.

I won't!

(Zhenlai Store) Xingyi, how about this?

Let's stop giving Miss Su Nian a hard time,

shall we?

Yueling, you get it wrong.

She gives me a hard time.

But she...

Let go of me!

Attention, everybody.

(Huangsi Restaurant) She's the slave

I bought with money.

How can I just release her?

She can't be released.

I've collected enough money to redeem myself.

Why can I not be released?

Because you're from Dongyu.

Oh, she's from Dongyu.

Dongyu people can't be redeemed.

Why?

In the Capital City,

Dongyu people are just pariahs.

Redeem? Funny.

Mr. Huang has a point.

Dongyu people are ungrateful.

Ungrateful.

Yeah. They're ungrateful people.

- Ungrateful people. - Ungrateful people.

Why do Dongyu people

have to be slaves here?

Where are you from, stranger?

How do you not know this rule?

If she wasn't a slave,

she would be unregistered and homeless.

Detected by the government, anyone like this

has to be expelled from the Capital City!

That's right.

Yeah. Don't let her go.

Release this girl.

Or I'll be rude to you.

Interfere with my business?

You must have a death wish.

They beat me!

Help!

Hel...

Officer, help me.

These two guys stand up for this Dongyu slave

and they even want to kill me.

Do me justice, please.

You bullied her first.

How dare you talk nonsense and slander us?

Don't trust their nonsense.

Arrest them. Arrest them.

Take them away!

Yeah. Take them away.

Arrest them.

Go.

Go.

Let me go.

Let me go!

(The Capital Government)

Let us out, you people!

I'm innocent.

I'm innocent. I really am.

Let us out of here.

Don't you know who we are?

Let us out of here.

I'm innocent.

Somebody! Somebody come!

Where are you from, stranger?

How do you not know this rule?

If she wasn't a slave,

she would be unregistered and homeless.

Detected by the government, anyone like this

has to be expelled from the Capital City!

I'm Qiyun,

thank you for helping me.

Not at all, Miss.

We didn't actually help.

I got you into this.

You stood up for Dongyu people in public.

In the Capital City,

this is really rare.

I never knew

life was so hard for Dongyu people

in the Capital City.

What's worse,

they say

Dongyu people are pariahs.

In Beishuo,

there are pariahs and civilians.

Three generations of criminals

are the sinners.

Music workers in entertainment places

are musicians.

In the Capital City,

those who stay for work

without private estates

are slaves.

Sinners, musicians, and slaves

are all pariahs?

(In Beishuo,)

(people have to obey this terrible hierarchy.)

(The North Prince's Mansion)

Your Grace.

We just got the information

that the Princess of Dongyu and her guard

were imprisoned in the Capital Government by mistake.

It's really something new.

Shiyu didn't send anyone to save her?

His Highness is in the palace now.

Just her luck.

Your brother always wants you

to marry the North Prince.

But the Princess of Dongyu

makes His Highness care less about you.

In my opinion, when His Highness is away now,

why don't we give her a lesson?

How?

How about this?

We can first do this

and then...

Shiyu, do you think

we can win this game?

It's hard to win.

But we may not lose, either.

We must do easy things before hard ones.

Small things before great ones.

Shiyu, I admire your determination

of this game.

Playing all alone,

I had to push my enemy into the trap.

But I got you into trouble many times.

I feel quite guilty.

Brother, you and I

have been stuck in the same crisis.

To get rid of this crisis,

I'm willing to be your weapon.

When you and I work of one mind,

even if we're weak and all alone,

we'll still be able to turn the tide and win.

(Hall of Politics)

Eunuch Li, something terrible happened.

Please tell His Highness about it.

But...

His Majesty is playing chess with the North Prince in there.

No one is allowed to disturb them.

Eunuch Li, this is really urgent.

Please, Eunuch Li.

Sir, you look really anxious.

I'll get in and tell them, then.

Thank you, Eunuch Li.

Somebody!

Anybody there?

Let us out!

Let us out of here.

Yueling, don't be scared.

When the mayor interrogates us,

we'll tell them who we are.

Then he won't dare to be so rude.

I'm not scared.

I just didn't know

Dongyu people had to be slaves

in the Capital City.

Come in, please, My Lord.

Is that Wen Yu?

Do you mean them?

Yes. The two of them.

They made a scene on the street.

How silly!

They're the North Prince's guests.

How dare you mistreat them?

Sorry, I didn't recognize them.

What are you waiting for?

Go open the door.

Yes.

Come in, please, My Lord.

Sorry, we did you an injustice.

His Highness sent someone to tell us

you were his guests.

I checked it carefully,

only to find it's just a misunderstanding

So, can we leave now?

Yes, of course.

We'll take her out, too.

No.

Her master has come to get her back.

He's waiting out there.

He won't be good to her.

Why can't she leave with us?

She's still a slave

and can't leave without permission.

This is against the national law.

(The Capital Government)

Come over.

Take her away.

If it happens again,

see how I'll punish you!

Yueling, look.

The carriage from the North Prince.

This way, please, Your Highness.

Did you come here alone?

His Highness wanted us to keep a low profile

instead of bringing the blame.

So, I was sent here alone.

Fine.

Are we there yet?

This isn't the way back.

Where are you taking us?

Give it to me.

Xingyi.

You...

Yueling.

Yueling!

Xingyi, Xingyi.

Xingyi, wake up.

We are trapped.

One, two, three.

Your Highness, Her Highness was kidnapped to Shili Hill.

Gather our men to fight there.

Yes.

Hyah.

Change of plan.

The North Princess Consort isn't coming here tonight.

You leave now.

I'm afraid

you can't leave.

Your Highness,

the groom confessed everything.

They were sent by Princess Luoyi.

Luoyi?

Yes.

How shall we deal with these dark guards

from her family?

Kill them all.

Yes.

Wen Yu.

Wen Yu!

- Your Highness. - Your Highness.

Is Her Grace back?

- No. - No.

Yueling.

Wen Yu.

Wen Yu.

Why were you even imprisoned?

Come on.

There are not only a lot of rules in Beishuo,

but also a terrible hierarchy.

What hierarchy?

Miss Qiyun, I mean.

The Dongyu girl we tried to save today.

I never knew Dongyu people

had to live

such a miserable life in Beishuo.

She's still a slave

and can't ever be released.

How could there be such a ridiculous law?

What do you want to do, then?

I'm the Princess of Dongyu.

Since I'm here,

I must get my people out of their misery

and abolish this law for them.

Yueling, you're ambitious

and you care for your people.

But you can't abolish this law

in a very short time.

And you can't change anything all alone.

I totally understand.

But I can't just watch and do nothing.

Wen Yu,

can you do something to help me?

All I can do

is try my best.

But it was really dangerous today.

In the future, don't go out alone

unless I'm around.

(Benign and Benevolent)

Your Grace, have something to eat.

How could you not eat anything?

Yueling, I'm back.

Your Highness.

Oh, so many delicious dishes.

Did you make inquiries about Qiyun?

As instructed by you,

I sent some money and clothes to Qiyun.

Then Mr. Huang became less rude

to her.

That's good.

Good.

This part looks so annoying.

Your Grace, Your Grace.

The North Prince is here.

The North Prince?

Shiyu.

Shiyu.

Since my cousin, the Lord of the South, defended the border,

he's trusted me with you.

I think I've been taking good care of you.

I really wonder

what I've done wrong to you.

Nothing. Why do you say that, Shiyu?

In this case,

why did you hurt Her Highness?

I don't know what you're talking about, Shiyu.

I don't understand. I...

The special secret weapon of your dark guards.

Others may not recognize it. But I can.

I...

I just meant to scare her.

I wouldn't really kill her.

Ping'er can be my witness.

I just asked my guards

to scare your consort.

That's true, Your Highness.

Please don't be angry.

Her Grace wouldn't kill her.

Are you sure?

It's capable of you, Princess Luoyi.

Your guards dared to kill even without your order.

Looks like I don't need to worry.

Staying in my small mansion

may do you an injustice.

Shiyu, are you kicking me out?

For that Dongyu woman, you...

Shiyu, why do you defend her like this?

Let me say it again.

She is the North Princess Consort.

Shiyu, I'm wrong.

I just lost my mind.

Give me a second chance.

I'll behave myself

and I won't be her enemy anymore.

But Shiyu, don't kick me out.

I beg you.

Let me stay by your side.

Somebody.

Send Princess Luoyi back to the palace

and have her belongings cleared away, too.

Su Nian,

that Dongyu man

and the woman in the portrait were taken away.

And I saw them

followed by the dark guards of the North Prince.

Dark guards of the North Prince?

(Who are they?)

(What's their relationship with the North Prince?)

Su Nian,

how about I kidnap that woman tonight

and interrogate her?

Don't.

You may alert the North Prince's men.

Then we'll be in trouble.

I crossed paths with that Dongyu man.

You go and have him come over.

But Su Nian...

Just do this.

I have my plan.

Yes, Su Nian.

So, this is your plan to kill two birds with one stone?

If it had succeeded,

the Princess of Dongyu would have been killed by Princess Luoyi.

The alliance between the Lord of the South

and the North Prince would collapse.

Prime Minister, my plan was perfect.

But this is really weird.

The Princess of Dongyu and the North Prince

seem to foresee the future.

Foresee the future?

I'm...

I'm trying to figure out why they can do that.

Since the marriage thing,

you've been making mistakes.

Lin Su,

I gave you way too many chances.

Prime Minister, please give me one last chance.

This time,

I'll make sure the Princess of Dongyu dies.

Please give me one last chance.

What is Zhou Shiyu doing lately?

He sent someone to Liuzhou secretly.

Nan Xun is stalking him.

Liuzhou?

Miss Qiyun cooks so perfectly.

It's the taste of our hometown.

According to Miss Qiyun,

the pastry will be our present.

Since we warned Mr. Huang last time,

Saving your life?

Well,

Die for me?

I had a dream before.

In the dream, you were killed

and Wen Yu killed himself for you.

That dream was so real.

Your Highness, don't be ridiculous.

Her Grace is the North Princess Consort.

If she has some gossip with Wen Yu,

her reputation

will be ruined.

You must not talk nonsense.

But I always think

Wen Yu and Yueling make a perfect couple.

(Wen Yu and I?)

(Pleasant and Harmonious)

(Stay Modest) Your Highness, at your command,

Nie Chen has secretly gone to Liuzhou to take over

(Memorial to the Throne) the private soldiers trained by Mr. Liu.

I get it. Leave me.

Anything else?

Your Highness, there's a small thing
