I really just focused
on my sports.

And then I would write
in my free time.

is my redemption song.

And for that reason,

it needs to really hit
when it needs to hit.

not as much music,

too early in the chorus,

as impactful

that kind of have that subtlety

My childhood

that I work at.

This is the first time

that I've had any coaching
whatsoever,

and it's for sure pushing me
out of my comfort zone,

but in a good way,

How do you balance family
and careers?

Well, I think that you
have to do what makes you happy,

which is your career, because
that also is deeply fulfilling.

And the way you balance it,
I think, is by all, by feel.

but obviously family first.

And that kind of fuels me.

As long as that kid knows
that the only reason

you are leaving is for them,

everything will be okay.

As a new dad,
my biggest concern

coming into this
was obviously the distance.

This is absolutely the longest

I've ever been away from them.

Doing performances and gigs
is a very new thing to me.

I'm a coffee roaster,

but I've been able to perform

above the coffee shop
that I work at.

It's not glamorous,

but I can just kind of pour
my heart out

to some people
who are willing to listen.

I just want to inspire
my daughter

and to support my family
doing what I love.

Someday, I just can't wait
to make her proud.
