- Well I'm just opening the show.

- I was wondering if you'd help me with something.

So I've come up with this cool new invention,

and I was wondering if you'd be the spokesperson?

- For a small fee perhaps. (audience laughing)

- Well, let me pitch it to you first.

Okay, so it's called homing jewelry.

I think we all lose our jewelry all the time.

It's certainly not just me.

At least, that's what I always tell myself.

So the idea is that if you lose a piece of jewelry,

it will be like a homing pigeon.

It will always go back to where you want it to be.

So for example, if I take this earring off,

it does mean for the rest of this time

I will be a little bit unbalanced,

and I'll only have one earring. (chuckles)

Sorry. (audience laughing)

So all I have to do is like if I hide it in my hand,

it's actually not hidden in my hand.

It's moved from here to inside my pocket, right?

- Huh-uh. - And you probably wondering

how does that work?

- How does that work?

- The thing is that if I put it in this pocket,

you're like, "Oh, it's gonna damage the fabric coming out."

No, it just goes right through

without causing any damage whatsoever.

- It's a magic earring.

- I know...

And the best part is if I stick it back in here,

it doesn't wanna go back to this pocket.

It actually goes right back on my ear.

- I'm right here.

I should have seen something.

- Do you think you'll be the spoke person?

- We'll talk about it backstage.

- Okay, at least help me pitch it,

'cause they won't let me put it on that fish tank show.

- Oh, yeah.

So I wanna borrow somebody's cell phone.

So we're gonna try to find a random number

of how much you paid for your phone, okay?

Before I go any further though,

Danny, my assistant, has a very special present for you.

So you probably wanna just put it on top of the stool there

for a second.

We're gonna try to find what price your phone is.

So randomly I got 52 cards in the deck, all right?

We're gonna cut down anywhere you want,

between two and three times, I'll cut the deck.

Wherever I cut into,

the next five cards

is gonna be the price of your phone,

because obviously it's over a hundred bucks, right?

So the first three digital will be the price,

and the last two digitals will be the the cents,

the change, all right?

First of all, have a look at the cards.

You can see they're all different, right?

Yes, the corners are cut off,

'cause they're from a casino back in Las Vegas

where I work at,

and that's where you can't go back in the casino

and use those, all right?

So how many times do you wanna cut the deck?

Top card, that's gonna be the first number of your price.

One thing I've learned though, I love DIY stuff,

phones are always getting dirty, right?

There's a really cool way

to actually keep your phone clean, all right?

You need to get a baseball cap.

So when I'm in public all the time,

I'm always wearing a hat.

You never see me,

I mean my hair is ridiculous,

so I'm always trying to hide it.

(audience laughing)

But normal baseball cap.

What you do is a regular hat that's cotton,

you take your phone,

place it inside the hat like this,

and it actually cleans it.

So you flip it over like this,

give it a rub, like this,

this is the best part (imitates drum roll) boom.

Just like.

It's a new trick.

to get into some of your minds, okay?

If I have all of you think of something,

chances are some of you might think of something similar.

So I'm going to need some distinct people

to think of some different thoughts for us this evening.

We're gonna start with you over here, actually.

If you wouldn't mind thinking of a thing for me, please.

Just go ahead and lock into a thing,

something tangible, something real,

something you could imagine holding in your hand, using,

something like that.

Okay, you sir, if you wouldn't mind thinking of a place,

somewhere that you've been,

somewhere that you want to go, doesn't matter.

As long as it's a real place

that you can picture yourself in.

And you, you're gonna draw something for me, okay?

But more on that later.

Have you locked in on a thing,

something you can picture holding, using in your hands?

Yeah?

Okay, fantastic.

We are gonna take this little piece of paper here

and you are going to unfold that, just like that.

Hold that in your hands.

Make a strong impression from your mind onto the page.

With this pencil right over here,

write down in all capital letters.

When you're all done,

fold it up so the secret's on the inside, okay?

You over here, you have a place in mind?

Excellent.

So same thing goes for you.

You're gonna take your piece of paper,

write down your place nice and big over here.

Make a strong impression from your mind onto the page.

You're gonna place it inside that envelope.

After you fold it up, keep the secret on the inside as well.

The only caveat for you, this has to be a real place, okay?

Don't write down like the state of denial,

or something like that, okay? (audience laughing)

Gotta be able to go there.

Now you're done with the thing?

Fantastic.

We will give you an envelope right over here.

I'm gonna slide this right inside.

Lick and seal it shut.

Pinch onto that.

Make sure the glue sticks nice and tight.

When you're all done, hold it up to the light,

make sure you can not see through the envelope, okay?

I'll take the pencil back.

I also need one other individual.

As I said before,

you're gonna do something a bit differently for me, okay?

Instead of writing something down like these folks,

you are going to take a look at your paper

and think about it less of a paper,

more of like a blank canvas, if you will.

Okay?

Draw something for me.

Something simple, something quick.

10 to 15 seconds.

We're not gonna draw the Mona Lisa over here,

but it needs to be something that you remember, okay?

So lock onto an image whenever you're done,

you gonna draw that on there

and then slide it back inside the envelope when you're done.

Okay, here you go.

That's for you.

And we'll give you a pencil too.

There you go.

Over there you cannot see through the envelope.

Is that correct?

And you're done sealing it?

All sealed shut?

- Gotta do it, or?

- You gotta lick it.

I just don't wanna do it after you,

so just do it or I do it, either one.
