but this doesn't look
like a living human.

And even more
paranormal footage you have to see...

to believe.

When it comes
to locations

that are reportedly haunted,

one of the first details
to study

is the location's history.

Because the more
emotional activity

that has taken place there,

and the wider its range,

the more likely it is

to have supernatural elements.

Just ask three explorers
in New York,

who investigated a building

that was once host
to opulent parties

and later...

became a nursing home,

creating a paranormal stew

that yields phenomena...

like this.

August 2021.

In Upstate New York,

a paranormal investigator
named Chris,

his best friend Big Red,

and fellow
paranormal investigator Phil

are exploring
an abandoned mansion

that has

quite a history.

We are really pumped up
for this place.

So...

let's go right in
through the front door

and let's get
this thing going, huh?

My name is Chris,
and this is my video.

I guess we can
just go right in, huh? - We can let ourselves in.

Wow, dude.

It was built in 1909
by a railroad engineer

who worked in Switzerland.

Then he moved back
to Upstate New York,

sold the mansion
to the DuPont family.

DuPont family married
into the Vanderlip family.

So there was
a lot of prominent names

that are attached
to this mansion.

Also, they used
to host theater,

musical performances there.

So it was kind of
like a big deal.

A big deal
with lots of rich history,

only to end up

as a nursing home.

Now, when you think
of nursing homes,

nursing homes just
have to absorb

so much different kinds
of energy.

"Why did
my family put me here?"

Or "Thank God
my family put me here."

Now, it would be,

I think, next to impossible

for somebody not to have
an experience

in a place like this.

And sure enough,

as Chris branches off

to explore the home
by himself...

This place is wild.

Watch closely.

Did you catch that?

Watch again in slow motion.

Though he doesn't
see it at the time,

when Chris shines
his flashlight down a hallway,

a figure seems
to quickly withdraw into the wall,

as if avoiding the light.

I don't know what that was.

Obviously, I didn't notice it
when I was walking around.

That's the kind
of stuff I like,

is where it's--

where I don't notice it,
it makes it seem like...

I don't know, it just
makes it feel unscripted.

If in fact
this shadowy form is a shadow figure,

then it's doing

exactly what shadow figures
always seem to do,

which is quickly retreat

as soon as the gaze
of the living are cast upon them.

What struck me was

how dark this color was.

It wasn't just like
this ethereal kind of mist.

It was
this really dark shadow color

that looks blacker than black.

It looks like you're looking
through a black hole.

Additionally, it makes it
more compelling

because he repeats
the movement.

He swings around

and then swings back,

but we don't see
the same movement.

And if that was simply
a trick of shadows,

it would be replicated.

Was that maybe
an angry patient?

Maybe a patient
who died suddenly

that didn't understand
why they died.

Maybe it was someone

from back when it was
a mansion.

Who knows what goes on
in these mansions

back in like, the 1920s,
the early 1910s.

You gotta remember,
like, the Roaring Twenties

and things like that.

You got, like,
bootleg liquor flowing through this place.

And I'm sure there was
a lot of, you know,

stuff going on
at these parties

that might make
these spirits still want

to kind of hang around.

And as Chris
and his colleagues begin

a spirit box session,

they use
one particular fixture in the home

as an offering
to those spirits.

We decided to start off
in the piano side

to see if maybe
this piano maybe sparked something.

The reason we added the piano
into the session is

because it's a trigger object.

I like to have trigger objects

to try to speak to somebody

who's attached to something
that's very important

to that location

that they've been
to every single day.

Do you remember this?

I actually,
on my investigations,

always love
to incorporate music

from the era of the heyday
of the location

that I'm investigating.

I always will play a piano

if it's
at a location

because I feel like it kind of
invites a positive environment

to start to manifest.

Which is exactly

what seems to happen next.

You heard that,
right? "Yo." - Whoa.

And even
when the group moves away

from the piano

to an entirely different
location in the mansion...

Piano again, dude.

...the music...

continues.

- It is.
- Right there, dude.

The creepiest room
in that entire place.

It's basically an attic.

So having
to be up there and...

asking it repeatedly, like,

"Play us another note."

Boom, it'll play us
another note.

It did it again, dude.

So it's a little weird.

But given
the lavish elements

of the building

that still remain
in some form,

maybe less weird...

than we might think.

I mean, the woodwork
in the ceilings

and the piano and everything,

it was a place
that asks the question,

why isn't there anyone
here anymore?

And that is sort
of a haunting refrain

throughout all of this.

And for Chris,

the answers that they have
captured to that refrain

during this investigation

make it a resounding success.

With all the activity
that we got there,

with the piano note...

There it is.

...and that kind
of shadow-esque figure,

that's the most
definitive activity

I've come on.

So I would say I'd rank it

within like probably like
the top three

of the most haunted places
I think I've been to.

Coming up,

paranormal experiences,

even at their most terrifying,

It's around midnight,

and commercial fisherman
Ryun Coleman

is getting ready to clean
the boat he works on

when he hears something
on the water...

That's crazy.

That's nuts.

...that he's
never heard before.

That's crazy.

And later that night,

it returns.

I hear it.

I hear 'em.

Where's she at?

What the is
that noise, bro?

What is that noise?

It was very unusual
where the noise was that loud,

coming from all directions,

and I couldn't see
what was there, you know?

Where are you?

It was coming from everywhere.

What the is that noise, bro?

What is that noise?

And it wasn't like
a normal dolphin noise.

There was
something melodic to it.

It was not no animal noise.

It was something different,
you know?

Where are you?

You know,
hearing these noises was

a bit terrifying.

It doesn't sound like
something that's underwater,

where you would
hear whales communicating.

This sounds like something has
emerged from the surface

and is communicating
and vocalizing to him.

I hear 'em.

Where's she at?

What the is that noise, bro?

Weeks later,

more communicating,

waking Ryun

in his cabin on the boat.

What the?

I heard
those banging noises

on the side of my boat,

which... never happens.

You don't really hear that.

And when he goes
on deck to check it out...

What the is that?

Another one over here?

What are those?

The boat is
flanked on both sides...

by two swimming bodies.

What are those?

It was not no dolphin.

It was no whale.

For those things to be
keeping up with it on the side

and having the streamline,

the streamline on those things
in the water was long.

What the is that?

You never just see
two dolphins.

And at this point,

Ryun believes he knows

what those
streamlined figures are.

What the?

Just by the moment
of me hearing the noise,

walking out on deck,
and then seeing that,

it had to be those things.

And by those things,

he means mermaids.

Stories of mermaids go back
to at least 1000 BC. in Syria,

and they can be found
across cultures.

And these are not
the friendly creatures

from an animated movie

or even the romantic figures

from a Hans Christian Andersen
fairy tale.

They were
believed to be

a humanoid alien-like...

person on the top

and then fish on the bottom,

with like, this strange beauty

that would attract sailors
to them.

They would use their voice
to hypnotize people

and essentially lure them
to their deaths.

And though Ryun

somehow avoids
being lured to them,

one night
on the boat soon after,

part of them

appears to come to him.

It was maybe one
of the last toes

to come up on the boat.

And at the end,

I see this bone coming down
the conveyor belt.

And
because no one can identify

where the bone is from,

Ryun brings it
to the Whaling Museum

in Nantucket

to get a professional opinion.

Now,
at the Whaling Museum,

they have marine biologists,

people who study
this stuff all the time.

He didn't know what this was.

As soon as I pulled this out,

he started
taking measurements.

This is not
no normal whale bone.

My immediate reaction
to that bone is

it looks like

the end of the flipper

of a mermaid's bottom fin.

Nobody can tell me

that this is not
a mermaid tail

because they can't
tell me it is not,

you know?

They don't know what this is.

So who's to say it's not?

And incredibly,

Ryun gets one more fleeting
yet stunning glimpse

at what could be the creature

just a short time later.

That is not a fish.
I am a fisherman.

200 days out in the ocean,

I've been doing it
for six years.

I've seen all types of fish.

This was
something definitely new.

Whatever that is...

that he sees swimming
next to the boat,

it looks like it's...

kind of orange or green.

I mean, if it was
like a sea lion

or a seal or something,

it would be just
a big black body.

For his part,

Ryun is convinced

and plans to keep
his eyes wide open...

from here on.

Every time
I go out there, I'm looking.

Every time.

Because now I feel
like I know there's more.

It has opened my eyes
to many things in this life

that I would never even...

think of.

It's 3:00 a.m.,

and motorcyclist Karl Dagus
and his girlfriend...

are riding back home
from a late-night coffee run

when his 360-degree helmet cam

records
something inexplicable.

Watch again

as what appears
to be a pedestrian

walks into the middle
of the road,

seems to step right in front
of Karl's motorcycle,

and yet somehow...

avoids being hit.

So Karl continues on his way,

baffled at the encounter...

...but assuming

the person made it
safely across the road,

until he watches
the footage again later

and notices

that right at the moment

when there would be
a collision,

the figure simply...

vanishes.

and this is my video.

I have some weird feeling
about the person

because during the encounter,

he wasn't looking at the road
when he was crossing.

At the last second,

he was... running towards us,

trying to...

bump us.

However, I was confused

because there were no impact

or no signs
of a physical touch from us.

So from scrolling
the camera dash cam,

I realized
that that wasn't a person.

He disappeared in thin air.

There's no question here.

I mean, this isn't like,
"Oh, is that a person?

Oh, did I see that?"

It's a little bit, you know,

"it could have
been this zooming by." No.

There's a person
who runs into the road.

And yet there's no crash.

What really gets
under my skin about this is

that there doesn't seem to be

any discernible features
or even a face.

This is human in shape,

but this doesn't look
like a living human.

Karl puts the video
on social media

and the ensuing response

enlightens him

about the road's apparently...

troubled past.

A lot
of people reach out to me.

They already told me

that this place has
a lot of accidents.

So a lot died while crossing.
A lot...

is happening on that road.

A lot
of people are experiencing...

spirits, entities that are
alongside these dark roadways.

And a lot of times,
it seems to be connected

to someone that had
passed away at that location,

some sort of fatality.

And you wonder

if some of these accidents
and fatalities are

because of these
things appearing

and causing someone
with a motorcycle

to drive off the road

or someone to avoid
hitting someone

that isn't really there,

and they end up
getting into an accident.

And in Karl's case,

while there isn't
any accident,

there is...

a cost.

Moving forward,
it has a psychological effect.

For me, after one to two days,

I feel like
someone is watching...

on every corner.

Like, if I pass by my house,

like, something is, like,
staring at me at the corner,

or even when I'm sleeping,
someone is like...

checking on me when I sleep.

It's mainly
a spiritual warfare.

This brings up
a very interesting question.

If he physically collided
with a spirit,

now, we don't know
how that interaction works

on a molecular level,

could he have taken some
of that spirit with him?

Could it have
been disincorporated

by that impact?

Karl thinks so,

and does what he can

to rid himself of it.

After a week,

my normal life came back.

I'm not...

afraid or fazed or anything.

Things may be
back to normal,

but Karl's perception
of the world around him

has changed forever.

I acknowledge that
these beings are here.

They really exist.

the different energies

people routinely rent out their homes to strangers,

some smaller properties
are increasingly gaining the same reputation.

Just ask one woman in Canada,

who booked a place
with her dog and friend

and accidentally ended up
sharing it

with a ghost.

October, 2023,
Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Emily Overton is sharing
a rental property

with her best friend, Janessa,
and her dog, Rosie.

But only hours
after they check-in, Rosie begins acting strangely.

Hi, my name is Emily
and I filmed this video.

We were just recording Rosie
because she kept barking at something.

We didn't even know
what she was barking at.

She kept staring at, like,
the table and the chairs,

and then she started growling.

And she's such a friendly dog
that she doesn't normally do that.

So as soon as she started
growling at the table and then she started barking at it,

that's when I was like,
what's going on.

And that's when
whatever Rosie is barking at strikes back.

Within the circle that Emily places on her post

right after Rosie recoils,
a shadow comes out of nowhere.

Seemingly snatching
at Rosie's face.

And when Emily
rewatches the video later, she is totally freaked out.

I swear I saw something
when I was recording.

So then, looking back,

what I saw when I watched
the video, I was like, "Oh, it's just the paper."

Because I thought
it was the paper flying out, and then I watched it again.

I watched it again.

Because maybe when she ran,
the paper went up, and that's what I saw.

But then, no, I zoomed in
and the paper stays flat.

I was scared to sleep.
Me and... me and Janessa,

we had a two bedroom place
and we slept in the same room because we were scared.

We were like, "Yeah,
there's something here."

What the?

The shadow
almost seems like a hand

that's reaching out to swipe
at the back of the dog as it's retreating.

It was kind of
a strange shape,

so I couldn't decipher
if it was actually a hand

reaching for it
or what it was.

But the dog clearly,
he sees this, you know, and reacts to it.

What the?

Sometimes when
things manifest,

they're not gonna manifest
in a human shape,

and also, sometimes
when things manifest,

they don't necessarily
go by the laws of physics that we understand.

Hence, why Rosie is looking up
at the tall corner

and then all of a sudden
it's right in front of her.

I definitely think
that Rosie is on to something.

I think something's there.
I think she sees something.

Which begs
the question,

why did Rosie appear
to see something long before Emily did?

It's often theorized
that animals such as dogs

can see things
that humans can't.

Now, we already know they have
better night vision

because of the rods
in their eyes, right?

That collects
the sensitivity of light.

But recent research
also shows

that it's possible
they might be seeing more of the ultraviolet light.

That's at the fringe edge
of our visible ability to see things,

and dogs might be able to
collect this light,

sort of like paranormal
investigators are using full spectrum cameras.

So if anomalies, spirits,
things are appearing

in this part of the
electromagnetic spectrum,

maybe that's why the dog
is reacting to it.

I full-heartedly believe
that it was a ghost

trying to touch Rosie because
Rosie was barking at it.

But if
this was a ghost, where did it come from?

And what is it doing here?

We've always
seen hotels, places that people gather,

places that people
stay intermittently

as sort of these
locusts of energy and attention that gathers there.

But now,
thanks to different services

that allow people
to rent out a single house or a single room in a house,

we're seeing
that same activity, but on a way smaller scale.

With all the
traveling that I do and things like that,

I would say, realistically,
about one out of 10 times

or one out of 15 rental
properties that we stay at,

something paranormal
does happen.

Thankfully for
Emily and especially Rosie,

whatever was haunting
the rental property,

did not seem
to follow them home.

I haven't seen her act
strange at all lately.

Like now, she just barks
when people come in.

But I haven't been noticing
too much of her acting... acting weird now.

Which suggests
that their surprise temporary roommate

likely meant no harm.

I think if anything,
it's like me.

When I see a cute dog
on the street,

I just want to reach out
and say, "Can I pet your dog?

Can I pet your dog?
Can I pet your dog?"

What the?

A man who sees UFOs, on the regular.

When it comes to sightings,
individual experiences greatly vary.

From those who have never seen
anything unexplainable in the sky

to others who seemed to be
witnessing them constantly.

And while some theorize
that certain individuals

possess an innate ability
to connect with alien life forms,

others believe that crafts
are choosing to present to that person

for a specific reason.

But, a Las Vegas man,
who has filmed consistent sightings for over a decade,

believes the reason
he continues to capture such an abundance of evidence

is that he's simply
putting in the work.

When we last featured
Steve Barone,

he was still grappling
with his newfound ability...

...to capture
stunning UFO footage from his doorstep.

And since that time,
he's been proving

that his initial dalliance
with unexplained sky phenomenawas no fluke,

as he has captured
some striking new objects on camera.

Like this one
from an overnight recording in September 2023.

A strange oblong
illuminated object soaring over the city,

before turning 90 degrees
and disappearing off screen.

And when Steve sees it
the next day,

though he's seen
so many before, he's blown away.

In all the years
I've been doing this,

I have never seen
anything like that.

My first thought was, "Man,
is this thing crashing?"

It almost looks
like it's burning, which is interesting,

like maybe there's
a fuel source or something like that happening.

A lot of times when we see
UAP or UFO footage or stills,

you don't really see
anything fiery like that.

This seemed to have
something else taking place

that I haven't
quite seen before.

It was so clear,
and so unique.

This sort of
rectangular object with these blinking lights.

I just thought,
"How is this not explained?

How is there not a headline
the next day

saying, 'Residents
of Las Vegas noticed this experimental machine.'"

And this
isn't the only potential experimental machine

that Steve
has captured recently.

August 2022.

This time, in broad daylight.

Right when I walked out
the door

I see this thing in front
of these just beautiful, huge white clouds

and the thing
that just shocks me,

is every frame of the video.
It looks different.

And it goes from being
almost like a burgundy color

for lack of a better way
to describe it, almost like a ladybug,

because there were
little darker colored burgundy spots on it.

So, uh,
it was just incredible.

One of the first things
I try to evaluate

with objects like this
is whether it's self-propelled.

This does look like
it's sort of tumbling, maybe floating along

like it could be a lighter
than air object or a balloon.

But some parts of it
look like it's smooth,

and then when it turns,
it looks like it has actual spikes.

I'm not sure what it is,
but we don't see a lot of balloons like that.

For Steve,
it's just another mystifying piece of UFO evidence

whose capture he attributes
to good old fashioned effort.

I'll stay out anywhere
from an hour to six hours.

It just depends
on what's going on.

And what
was going on for this new capture,

was three stunning orbs.

I'm a veteran.
I was in the Navy.

I've stood watch before.
I know how that goes.

And I just know
that if I was going to be successful

at capturing
any of these things, then I had to be consistent.

So that's why
I would go outside every night.

Over the first three years,
I must have put in at least 1,000 nights.

I understand
exactly how this guy feels.

He's just a normal guy
doing what anybody can do. He just gets results.

I think,
with much more practice

you start getting more clarity
and more hits,

just like any other thing
that you do in life.

With practice comes results.

And Steve
is confident that these new captures,

just like the previous ones,

are unequivocally
extraterrestrial.

I don't even
think of them as visitors, really.

Just like in an ocean,

you know, all the fish
in the oceans

of the world are connected,
and we're in this universe,

we're connected
with them, too.

And as
the sightings continue to come in,

he believes
it's only a matter of time

before contact is made.

We're probably
gonna find life right here in our own solar system.

The fact that there are
just so many uncounted

trillions of planets
out there,

for me,
the miracle of all miracles would be...

that we were alone.

her birthday has her special moment...

stolen by
a mischievous spirit.

Birthdays, anniversaries,

and other major milestones
in our lives

often come
with an air of reflection and spirituality.

And perhaps because of this,
some believe that during these times

we may be more open
to brushing elbows

with those who exist
in the spectral realm.

Just ask a woman in Mexico
who went to blow out her birthday candles

and found that
an invisible guest beat her to it.

April 2021 in Mexico.

It's Lily's 31st
birthday party.

Friends and family
are encouraging her to blow out her candles.

When...

someone or something...

steals her moment.

You see
her kinda look down in shock.

You can sense their feeling
on this because this, is extremely strange.

The force with which
the candles are extinguished,

is quite strong and did not
emanate from the woman.

We would have seen
her exhale visibly

with enough force
to blow those out.

Where did
that breeze come from?

We can clearly see
all of the things around her, and none of them move.

Nothing is impacted by
whatever this wind force was, except those candles.

And that's not
the only strange thing that is captured.

Watch again...

as Lily's sleeve
is pulled down,

right before the candles
get blown out.

Which, coupled with
where the gust of wind seemed to come from,

conjures a particular image
of a possible culprit.

It was almost as if
there was a small child,

standing right in front of her
and blew out the candles before Lily had a chance to.

It immediately made me wonder
if Lily had somebody close to her,

somebody connected to her,

uh, a child
or a younger person, pass away.

And they just couldn't wait
for Lily

to blow out the candles,
so they did it themselves.

If that's the case,

the timing of this
spiritual activity certainly makes sense.

Birthdays are really unique
because they function

as folklorists would say,
both as calendar customs,

so, the cyclical
kind of rituals that we have and as rites of passage.

The rituals that transition us
from one stage of life to another.

Birthdays, by being both,

are these really
heightened moments, for individual people.

If some meaningful person
from your past who's moved on to the other side

is gonna come back and visit

seems like a really apt time
for that to happen.

A decidedly
positive spin.

But what if,
as one of the party guests seems to suggest...

...there's something sinister
behind this paranormal prank.

Now, if this happened
back in the 1800s,

the 1700s or even way before,

this might be seen as an omen.

Something of bad tidings,
that maybe her days were numbered.

And just like those candles,
they would be snuffed out very soon.

Terrifying.

Luckily for Lily,
she lived to tell the tale.

So we can assume
that this spirit only meant to send well wishes.

and then check it again.

Trust that
