A couple in Utah
capture a creeping ghost in their home.

We're just sort of
living amongst them

and if you don't bother them,
they're not gonna bother you.

A family in
South Carolina...

...spot
a massive UFO.

Our hearts were
beating really fast

'cause it was something
we've never seen before.

And even more
paranormal footage you have to see...

...to believe.

Once a facility
for tuberculosis...

the Molly Stark Sanatorium
in Ohio...

saw so many patients
succumb to the disease...

that it was dubbed
"the waiting room for death."

Shut down for good
over 25 years ago,

the massive structure
now sits abandoned behind barbed wire...

and serves
as a stark reminder of a macabre error.

But some believe
it holds something much more haunting

than just the memories
of the dead...

...and one man
in Ohio may have walked straight into it.

October 15th,
2021...

Louisville, Ohio.

Urban explorer
Christopher Hill has just arrived

at the Molly Stark Sanitorium,

looking to confirm
if the rumors of it being haunted are true.

My name is Christopher Hill
and this is my video.

The first thing I heard was
when I went to the second floor...

and I heard walking
right above me.

And that's not all.

I went back
to the lower level.

That's when I heard
the keys jingling.

What the was that?

Listen!

If you listen closely,
you can hear a voice.

Like, maybe a woman's voice
or something off in the background.

What the was that?

Listen!

According
to paranormal theory,

when someone dies
a really horrible death,

they might linger
in some form or fashion.

Now, think about dozens,
maybe even hundreds of people who did so.

I think that that creates
the conditions for something of

a paranormal crockpot,
a stew...

that just gathers
and bubbles up.

And when someone
enters these locations investigating,

it's, like,
puncturing that bubble

and all of that energy
spews forth.

It was
pretty creepy

and that's when my nerves
started to get the best of me.

But though
he is rattled, Christopher continues on...

to a network
of underground tunnels...

which some believe
were to protect the living patients

from seeing
the constant stream of victims.

After a few minutes
of walking through the endless maze of corridors...

Christopher spots something.

Watch again,
as a white ghostly figure

appears to manifest
at the end of the tunnel.

You can almost
see a head.

You can kind of see a torso.

It looks like there's
arms moving.

So it seems to be more formed,

which would suggest
something that might have been human at one point.

They seem to have on
a short-sleeve light-colored shirt.

The first thing
that I thought of was, "Perhaps a hospital orderly."

My heart
was racing.

I mean,
I could barely breathe.

I was trying
to just stay calm.

Are you
down here?

So, I'm fumbling my camera.

I tried to grab my weapon,
to protect myself, just in case

'cause I thought it was
a person, like, walking towards me.

But as Christopher
makes his towards where he saw the figure,

a sudden
terrifying realization.

That's when I realized
it's a dead end...

and I just ran into a spirit
and there's no other way to explain that.

Christopher has
had enough.

But these tunnels
are dark

and after five minutes
of trying to find his way out...

What's the worst thing
that can happen?

This guy's light,
the battery goes dead.

The fact that his light
ran out of battery

after he saw
this apparition is not surprising at all.

That's happened to me
several times,

where cameras would die,
lights would die.

The reason why it happens is
because when you are

in the presence
of these spirits,

they have to draw
their energy from somewhere.

This is
a battery pack that should have lasted hours longer

and it's drained
almost immediately.

Whatever was here
required that energy to manifest so solidly

that it was just unambiguous.

We could see it clear as day.

That must have taken
a massive amount of power.

Luckily...

...Christopher does
manage to exit the building safely

and walks away
with a simple piece of advice

for those brave enough
to explore the sanatorium themselves...

I would say,
if you're gonna go to Molly Stark's,

don't go alone.

through a couple's home in Ohio?

It is a common misconception
that a house must be old to be haunted.

Because, in fact,
even if a home is brand new,

it still may be teeming
with spirits that are tethered to the land...

upon which that home is built.

Just ask a couple in Utah...

whose relatively-new house
may hold the spirits of those who tilled the land...

centuries ago.

March, 2017 in Sandy, Utah.

Odd things have been
happening around Cliff and Lisa Witham's house...

since they moved in
a year earlier.

Like unexplained noises...

...and doors
opening on their own...

but they always brushed off
the strange occurrences.

Until late one night
when Lisa wakes up to their dogs barking.

She gets up to check
her home security camera...

and sees this...

a translucent humanoid figure
that seems to creep down the hall.

- I'm Lisa...
- And I'm Cliff.

...and this is our video.

I turned and woke him up
and said, "You need to see this."

And he looked at it

and then he said,
"Just go back to sleep."

And I said,
"What do you mean 'Go back to sleep'?"

There's somebody
in our house!"

He said,
"It's obviously a ghost."

And I was still kind of
half asleep

and so that made me
kind of scared.

I was like, "Wait, no!
You can't just go to sleep!"

And so, I watched it again.

She looks like an older lady
in, maybe, pajamas or something.

Listen, I had
to watch that clip 10 times

'cause the first nine times,

I just thought,
"Oh, look at that old lady

going to the bathroom
in the middle of the night."

But then on the tenth time,
I realized,

"Wait a minute.
There ain't no old lady in this family

and that old lady just
walked through the wall."

That was creepy.

After the mystery
late night visitor,

Cliff and Lisa continue
to sense a presence in their home.

We kind of
went in phases

where we wouldn't really
have anything happen for a few months.

- Right.
- And then things would happen a lot.

Things would sometimes fall.

When I'd go downstairs,
sometimes I'd, like,

get, like, a cold chill
or something like that

and it just felt like
somebody was watching me.

So sometimes I'd just hurry
and get back upstairs

after I'd do what I had to do
and then go, you know.

This is what,
in my experience, a haunted house looks like.

You know, it's not always
cabinet doors

slamming open and close.

You know, it's subtle things.

Subtle things,
like what happens one day to their front door.

Go.

We had a glass storm door
as a screen door on the front,

so there's no way that wind
or anything could have gotten through that.

Often times,
the spirits, poltergeists,

will use doors as ways
to communicate their presence

and when you hear this door
almost clicking open...

...that takes
some manipulation, use of hands,

and the fact that we can't see

how this is being opened
tells me that there is a spirit there

that's actually doing this.

The presence is
all but confirmed

when some friends
are visiting Cliff and Lisa in 2021...

and their young child
sees something.

A ghost...

in the exact same location
the security camera had captured it four years prior.

What?

Clearly, she'd seen it
down the hall

- and she's pretty sensitive
to that stuff. - Right.

My friend Shirley had said,
"You know, I can tell that she sees things.

I can tell that she is
sensitive to it."

Now, children's
observation skills are usually very raw.

They're simple.

Why would a child point
and describe a figure

if that's not exactly
what they're seeing?

The little girl
notices something off in the distance first...

and then the dog
kind of notices something at the same time.

- It's a ghost!
- What?

Two things
that are likely to be the most objective

to seeing something
on the other side both notice something.

And she wasn't afraid.
She even grabbed her mom's hand,

was gonna go show her.

The dog didn't bark
aggressively.

Whatever's there
seemed to be friendly, I would assume.

Friendly or not,
Cliff and Lisa don't know for sure

who's haunting their home,
but they do have some theories.

The only thing that I could
really think of is

maybe it was the people
that owned the land at some point.

I think they just, you know,
maybe stayed with the land.

I don't know
or maybe it's somebody who was buried on the land

at some point.

We had asked
our next door neighbor.

He's lived there
his whole life,

when the houses were
built in 1983

'cause he's known
all the neighbors

and he said
that nobody's ever died in the house

and he's kept in touch
with everybody that had lived there.

Utah's history is
largely a pioneer history.

There was a lot of farming,
a lot of tilling the land, irrigation,

that's a part
of Utah's history.

So to think that there were
people living, likely, a very hard life

out in the west desert
out here in Utah,

trying to scrape together
a living, that their spirits

might be tied to the land
on which new real estate is being built.

That's entirely possible.

Whoever it is,
their continued presence doesn't bother the Withams.

I wholeheartedly believe
that if you don't get scared,

it's not going to be
something scary.

We don't feel like we're
inviting scary things in.

We're just sort of
living amongst them...

and, you know,
if you don't bother them, they're not gonna bother you.

Building
a new house can often be fraught

with unexpected challenges...

where setbacks...

obstacles...

and accidents...

plague the project
to such an extreme degree,

that it causes the builder
to wonder...

if there is
a supernatural force at play.

A family that is trying
to build a new house in the Philippines

knows this all too well...

...because it seems
that something sinister is

doing its best to ensure
that their dream home will never come to fruition.

November, 2021...

in Batangas, Philippines.

Naoya Kinoshita is overseeing
construction of his mother's new home...

but while staying alone
on the property...

he begins to sense
a disturbance...

and after four days
of unexplainable yet fleeting events...

...Naoya is
exhausted

and reaches out
to his followers on social media.

Naoya begins
to explore the house...

phone in hand,
determined to get to the bottom of it.

Then when it gets
to what appears to be a makeshift dining area...

is Naoya and these are my videos.

Seeing these chairs
move around and collapse and go straight to the ground,

that's really, really bizarre.

It seems to defy gravity,
physics.

That's not something
that's going to happen for any natural reason.

...

These clips
really exemplify

the kind of truly terrifying
supernatural stuff that people deal with.

Chairs being knocked over
and dragged across the floor

and we can see
there aren't strings attached.

A few days later,
Naoya returns to the property...

...and is
disturbed once again.

Whatever
unseen force sent Naoya running...

is still here.

Something has
just pushed Naoya's cell phone off the desk.

Our personal devices
become extensions of us...

and when something
wants to destroy that,

wants to destroy
our ability to reach out...

for help, for comfort,
for assistance...

there's something sort of
inherently sinister in that action.

But the cell phone
is just the beginning...

as whatever is in this room...

...is determined
to make itself known.

...

It didn't fall over
all the way.

It sort of just hovered
before falling...

which, like, makes no sense.

That totally just
defies gravity.

So it's almost like
whatever was making that chair move

wanted you to know, you know,

"This isn't the wind.
This is something else."

There's just
an onslaught of activity.

There's just so much going on
all at once and one thing after another...

...

...that it just seems
like there's something that's trying to tell you

that it does not
want you there.

But why would
something be trying to push the family

out of brand-new home?

In the Philippines,
there are a lot of superstitions

that if you are building
a home...

you need to ask permission
from the spirits that live there first.

If you don't,
then they can bring you misfortune,

they can cause harm.

In the worst cases,
they can bring death.

The ones that come to mind
for me are the duende, the nuno sa punso...

or the kalanget.

I would suggest
to these people who live here in this home,

to make an offering...

to the entities
that live in that land

and then ask them,
"What can I do

so that you can leave me
and my house alone?"

Whatever it is,
Naoya's family is taking the threat seriously.

I think, overall,
it's a good reminder

that any time
you break ground and start construction...

there may have been
someone that lived there before

who likewise called it home.

Many families have stories
that are passed down through generations...

some of which
push the limits of believability.

Especially when those stories
enter the realm...

of the paranormal.

But one family
in South Carolina has

a very effective way
of dealing with skeptics.

Their otherworldly
family tale was caught on camera.

Bennettsville, South Carolina.

Oscar Pinzon, his mother
and three siblings are heading north on Highway 38

to visit their father
at work...

when, suddenly...

...a bulbous
shiny flying object appears alongside them.

Hi. My name is Oscar Pinzon
and this is my video.

It was just
something that was not normal to us.

Our hearts were beating
really fast

'cause it was something
that we've never seen before.

We were all pretty scared.

Frightened
but fascinated,

the Pinzon family
does their best to keep the object on camera

as they travel along
the highway.

We're going about
65 miles an hour at the time

and this object was
keeping up with our speed, if not maybe even faster.

At first,
we thought it was, like, chasing us.

It was just very strange,
very strange.

If you're flying
at those speeds or higher,

at that point,
you're dealing with air traffic control.

It doesn't make sense
that this craft is going so fast.

It's not like any craft
I've ever seen, outside of a sci-fi movie.

Very strange shape...

very strange color
and reflection...

and it's also flying
very dangerously low to the tree line.

You can't really tell
if there's any kind of specific propulsion system.

You don't see any stream
coming behind it, there's no exhaust.

I don't see any of that.

I've been in these situations,
seeing strange crafts

and you have this sense,
this knowing in the fiber of your being

that you're looking
at something that is alien or not of this earth.

And whether that is
another planet or another dimension,

we don't know.

Even
more compelling is

that before they could
begin recording,

the family believes
they spotted the craft...

hovering over
a cell phone tower...

and Oscar thinks he knows why.

It was just
stationed there.

Maybe either trying to charge

or maybe get
some kind of information.

It's very strange.

I've never heard
of a UFO attaching itself to a line.

I guess, like,
they would have to harness energy someway,

but, then, again,
that's my limited frame of thought.

Like, I don't even know
what type of technology they may have,

so they may not have to use
our traditional sense of, like,

"Let me see if I can siphon
some energy from an electrical tower."

There's been many,
many cases where blackouts have happened

when these objects have been
seen hovering over

either a powerplant
or high-tension powerlines

as if they need that
in order for their craft to,

you know, get the energy
that it needs for the propulsion.

It was definitely
a very strange, you know,

it just looked like something
that wasn't from here.

You know, I think
there's something else in this world.

I think there are,
you know, aliens.

The object
eventually disappears from their view.

But even
all these years later,

the Pinzons' brief encounter
stays fresh in their minds.

We still
think about it.

I mean, every time, you know,

with friends,
gatherings and stuff,

you know, we still
show them the video...

...just to get their reaction
and opinion, to see what they think.

To this day,
we haven't seen anything like it.

So, maybe we won't
ever get to see something like this again.

this once-in-a-lifetime thing.

I don't know

'cause he was huge.

Then,
minutes later...

20 feet ahead, a hulking figure,

almost perfectly still.

It's hard to explain,
but it somewhat started to manifest itself

into more of a physical form.

He doesn't have to be
flesh and blood, folks.

I kind of remember seeing
facial features, you know, form

and, like, a snout and eyes

and it was making
these hand movements.

Do you guys see
what I'm looking at?

Yes? Okay, good.

And I knew I saw a sasquatch
and I was like, "Holy crap, okay."

That's a big boy
'cause he's tucked in a corner.

This figure definitely looks
sort of classically Bigfoot-like.

It looked like
a large primate.

We saw a large
sort of dome-shaped head, a hulking body,

what appeared to either be
a hairless chest or maybe hands...

in front of the creature.

He's huge!

This guy is massive.

Like, that's a
fence behind him.

Whatever this thing is,
it looks to be, like, seven or eight feet tall.

It doesn't seem to be
moving very much.

Like, it's observing
the person doing the video

and to get that close to it is
almost unbelievable.

Sorry, I'm shaking.

The funny thing
about any kind of experience in the paranormal world is

you can think about it.

You can think you're
prepared for it

and you can go out
searching for it,

but I will tell you,
nothing prepares you

for the moment
that it actually happens.

Nothing.

My senses told me
to just show that I wasn't a threat.

I'm really low to the ground.

So, like, I'm dropped down
'cause I do not want it

to look like I'm trying
to intimidate or anything.

I've been in combat.
I've been to war

and I've never felt fear
like this

and it wasn't
a threatening situation.

It wasn't doing anything
to put fear into me.

So, then,
why was Michael feeling this fear

when, intellectually,
he knew he was safe?

Perhaps it has something
to do with Bigfoot's built-in defense system.

They will communicate
using infrasound,

which is a low frequency
that we can't pick up, typically, with our

normal hearing,
but it emits a sense of dread and fear.

This might be why
people can't get close enough

to get really great
visual sighting

because they're using
this defense mechanism to keep us away.

He's tucked down
in there.

He's big as.

Michael stays
a bit longer, then leaves the creature be.

We just kind of
crossed paths.

You know, we had a moment
and then we went our separate ways.

I felt every emotion
I've never felt in my life.

It was a beautiful thing
for me.

And he hopes
to someday have another encounter

with one of these
Long Island cryptids.

I wouldn't say
I'm a researcher,

but I'm out there
as often as possible

and I do enjoy
looking for them.

I never expected to be
on Long Island of all places.

You know what I mean?
That's one of the things I hear most often.

"Bigfoot, Long island?
No way."

Some brother
probably had a baby Bigfoot back in the seventies

that he kept in
his basement apartment.

And it got too big,
so he had to let him out in the woods.

Now you've got
this loose Bigfoot running around New York.

Crazy.

When it comes
to Bigfoot, I do think you have to have an open mind.

It seems like the field is
pretty much divided

between those who believe
it's an undiscovered bipedal creature

and those who believe
it's possible that it is an interdimensional being.

As crazy as it sounds,
I kind of lean towards the idea

that this thing could go
in and out of portals...

or somehow
be there one moment and not another.

So could it show up
in Long Island?

I think we have to be
open to that.

So be on
the lookout, wherever you are...

because according
to Michael...

it's an experience
you do not want to miss.

I grew up
with that feeling of,

"There's something more
to life.

There's something more
out there."

It's definitely
an exciting thing

when something that is
not supposed to be there shows up.

why is it raining in just one small spot?

For how vast
and awe-inspiring the world is...

much of daily life...

is rather predictable.

But every once
in a while...

we come across something
that simply...

doesn't compute...

...where the laws
of nature seem to no longer apply...

making some believe...

Exactly.

And people are catching
these freakish phenomena on camera

all around the globe.

October, 2015...

in Los Angeles, California...

it's a bizarre scene
on interstate 1-10,

as traffic moves freely
in one direction,

while the other side,
seemingly for no reason at all...

sits at a dead stop.

There doesn't seem to be
an obvious reason why these cars are stopped.

There's not a crash.
There's not construction.

There's not
an official presence saying, "Oh, you guys have to stop."

Then,
on the other side, business as usual.

And what's more is
while the guy is kind of panning the camera around...

people appear to not be
moving in the car either.

I don't know anybody
that would be cool with a traffic jam like that.

There would definitely be
some road rage going on.

There would have to be
some police enforcement

to keep the traffic
from going.

So it doesn't make sense
to me.

June, 2019.
Paris, France.

It's raining in the city,
but the downpour is

contained to just one area...

one very, very small area.

Well, we see rain falling
in an isolated area

of a street,
where there is no rain anywhere else.

My first thought is,
"Well, if water is dripping from something."

But the camera pans up
and there's nothing but empty sky above this.

We get
the vicarious experience

of watching other people
in the clip...

look up in wonder
at the sky like,

"Where is this coming from?"

Good question.

February, 2022
in Ushuaia, Argentina...

an icicle seemingly
defies the laws of gravity,

hanging suspended in midair.

The icicle is segmented
into three pieces.

So we've got the first part
of the icicle attached and then there's nothing.

And then we have
two other pieces of the icicle

seem to be suspended
in midair.

It looks like a magic trick.

One, you don't see
icicles like that.

It's just not really a thing.
That's beautiful.

Number two, you're definitely
in a scene from Mortal Kombat

and Sub-Zero is
somewhere in the vicinity.

There is no way
that those icicles are not falling

without there being
some level of control outside of our understanding.

But maybe
it's not as outside of our understanding...

as it used to be.

Some people theorize
that we are not

the operators of our reality,
that we're just merely players in it...

and that everything we see
in the three-dimensional time and space is

being manipulated,
almost like programmed, into our existence

for us to have experiences.

The idea, though,
that we might be living in

a literal virtual reality...

that has programming software,
that can get screwed up, that maybe...

shows us
the exact same image twice

or causes a program
to stop running, like...

the morning commute.exc
or something like that.

This idea resonates
with a lot of people.

And it doesn't have
to be as scary as it sounds.

What if these glitches
in the matrix are not bugs in the system,

but features?

Maybe these are Easter eggs,

intended to check and see
if we're paying attention

to the world around us.

Or perhaps
the glitches...

come from within.

I think that...

the glitch in our matrix
really comes from our own minds.

Our problem is not
seeing beyond into the other realities.

So, the ones that have
an issue with the whole idea

that we are being manipulated
by some external force

don't realize
that external force,

truly, is our own minds
that are manipulating us.

Regardless
of the reason for these odd phenomena,

one thing's for certain.

We're paying attention.

What should you do
in the event you witness something paranormal?

Here are some tips
to get it all on camera.

Never stop filming...

What?

...even
if you're scared.

Don't let
your guard down.

Trust that what you're seeing
really is otherworldly.

And, if you do
