A Saudi Arabian ghost hunter

in a location

has a much more unique memory

to add to her scrapbooks.

that one of her roommates...

March 2020,

near the University
of Arizona campus in Tucson.

Bianca Concepcion
is in her friend's apartment,

playing with her dogs
while her friend showers.

Suddenly a creepy noise
catches her attention.

So she takes out her phone
and starts to record.

I'm all by
myself in the living room in that room right there.

The door
has been opened and...

Oh, my God!

Watch again as a door
to one of the bedrooms slams by itself.

The door
has been opened and...

Oh, my God!

Bianca may be laughing,
but she's freaked out.

After calming her nerves,
she opens the door and films again.

I reopen the door...

Stop!

No, I don't play that.

No.

No, stop! you. No!

My name is Bianca,
and I have recorded these videos.

It just went bam!

For a second, my heart
dropped and I looked at it, and I was just like,

"Oh, my God, I'm gonna die."

Oh, my God!

That's right, folks.
I am laughing, but I was like...

Oh, my God,
I'm just like-- Hey, people are going to think it's fake.

To confirm that
what she's seeing is not fake,

she immediately
films another video,

this time from
within the room where the door slammed.

Ooh, the third part.

Okay, I'm going to show you
that no one is in there.

I opened the bathroom door.
I looked behind the door.

No one was there.

Look it, look it, we see
nobody's supposed to be in this room.

Nobody. It's empty!

Nobody lives in this room
and this room is locked.

And when her friend finally
gets out of the shower, Bianca has one message.

Like, "Dude, your
apartment is haunted."

This is not just
a little draft

in the room pushing
the door shut.

This is a good, solid slam.

There's a lot of activity
centered around this bedroom door.

The frequency of it
does not suggest residual.

Rather, it looks like
we're dealing

with something of an
intelligent phenomena.

It would
almost make me believe

that an entity found
an easy way to manipulate an object

and this door's
just the thing it found.

It has
a message, which is get out.

And that's the only thing
it wants to say.

You can always
tell when there's somebody behind the door pushing it

because it closes
like a normal door would.

But when there seems to be
some sort of genuine spirit activity,

you see it start
to move like, "I'm trying. I'm trying..."

Stop.

And then it stops
and then swing shut.

We see that in these videos.
It's very convincing.

And while these
clips are the first pieces of evidence

that point to possible
paranormal activity,

Bianca feels that there's
always been something off

about that bedroom
in her friend's apartment.

For some reason,

every time she got
a third roommate, they would evacuate.

Like, her last roommate

left all her stuff
in the apartment and then never came back.

We didn't know why.

And then we found out why.

No one wants to stay
in that room.

People move in.
They move out almost immediately.

This seems like the only
place in the whole apartment

where any sort of paranormal
activity is centered.

It's clearly that space,
regardless of who's in it.

Hey, if you've ever
lived with roommates, as I have

when you've
got your own room,

sometimes you just
want your own space.

And, uh,
you want to keep everybody else out for a while.

So, um, maybe
a former resident

still feels that's
their place.

There's a classic theory
of acknowledgement within the paranormal.

When you're paying attention
to an entity, you are empowering it,

and that can yield either good
or sometimes negative results.

And sure enough,
over the next few days, the disturbances continues.

Like this bed being unmade.

Dude,
the sheets got moved.

Sometimes the best thing to do
is to realize

that you have to live
your life and move forward

and just deal
with the situation,

and it will
oftentimes go away.

But it's hard to do that
when you have a door

slamming in your house,
like in this situation.

And indeed.

I heard a creak.

There were plenty
more door slams.

No one inside?

I'm doing everything...

Thankfully, the activity
did eventually subside

in Bianca's
friend's room, that is,

because,
according to Bianca,

whatever entity was there
is now busy haunting her room,

one floor below.

Like the ghost took a break
you, like, stopped doing stuff

and then it
started up again... -

and then it just
moved into mine.

That's like what
transferred in.

And what's even
more terrifying,

Bianca claims the severity
of the haunting has intensified.

There was this one time
where I woke up

and I had, like,
scratch marks under my leg.

There was like no blood, and
it was like around 3:00.

And I woke up
and I was like,

"What the heck? Did
I scratch myself?

Did I do something?"

I literally looked up at night
and I looked around my room,

like, "Dude, I was chill
with you here, living here,

rent free, what?
What do you want?"

No, stop. you.

No.

Veteran paranormal
investigator Kashif Khan,

his partner, Assad,
and a cameraman

are at an abandoned college
that is thought to be haunted,

and they're here to try
to get some proof.

This is Kashif Khan.

Colleges are a
lot like hospitals,

a lot like sanitariums,

where they're really
liminal spaces.

So they're designed to
house people

in these transitional points
in their lives.

So this temporary time
of college, of education,

in a hospital, of healing
or of recovery we have these moments

where the population
is really dense

and really emotionally
heightened.

You have public buildings, and a lot of people

going back and
forth through them.

Sometimes they leave a lot
of residual energy around them.

And when you have people there
for many, many years,

sometimes people
just don't really want

to pass on or
pass the grade, as they say.

And Kashif
and his team have only been

in the building
for a few moments

when some of that
residual energy...

- My God.
- ...seems to manifest.

What's wrong?

Listen closely.

Did you catch that?

Listen again,
as a disembodied voice

screams from somewhere
above the investigators.

Picked up loud
and clear by the camera.

It is most impressive when you
capture electronic voice phenomena.

However, when
you hear something like a scream,

live with your own ears,

what that suggests is that
there is perhaps an entity

with enough power behind it
to project that sound.

If that's a disembodied voice,
that takes not only an incredible amount of energy

but an incredible amount
of emotion and feeling.

The team is spooked,

but continue with their
investigation by taking out their FLIR,

or Fleer camera,
and heading into the basement.

So an
F-L-I-R camera is a forward looking infrared camera,

and basically it
creates a visual map

of temperature
changes in a location.

In paranormal
investigations, we use thermal imaging to try to detect

the parts of the environment
that are hot and are cold.

And by judging them
against each other,

we can try and see what
makes sense and what is abnormal.

Kashif takes
the Fleer camera and scans the area.

You can see what
the Fleer is recording

on the lower right
side of your screen.

Watch closely as Kashif
rounds a corner and points

the camera down
a long hallway.

Did you see it?

Watch again.

Zoomed in as the Fleer
picks up a temperature anomaly

in the form of a yellow figure
stepping into the hallway.

We get a really clear
view of a figure

walking past the washroom
down the hallway and then just disappear.

It's bright yellow
and it's definitely a figure of what looks

like a human being,

walking to the
right of the frame.

You can see legs
and arms and a head moving

in a very natural walking
sort of posture.

And the investigator
himself is so frightened

that he is literally
speechless and cannot communicate

to his fellow investigator.

Any time you can
capture activity

on a Fleer camera,
that, to me,

lends a bit of
credibility to it

because they're
incredibly hard to fake.

If I even touch
a surface and then film it,

my hand print's gonna show up.

So, uh, footprints,
anything like that,

a lot of times, you can
uncover a hoax that way,

and in this case,
I just don't see it.

They're all
totally wigged out,

but want to confirm
what they just saw.

Nothing.

But at this point,
that's just fine with them.

Their minds have been
sufficiently blown for the night.

I felt like it was
the Lord's angels just watching over us.

Human experiences
with the supernatural are commonly terrifying.

they can also be inspiring.

outside, when they look up and see this.

We're witnessing something
amazing.

A group of white,

seemingly synchronized
objects in the sky...

Which strangely...

seemed to disappear

and reappear at will...

Oh, my gosh.

...blowing Leann's mind.

- Mom.
- I know.

Mom, what is this?

The event lasts
for five minutes

before the objects
finally fade away for good.

I'm freaking right now.

I'm freaking.
This is unbelievable.

My name is Leann Sandlin
and I filmed the video.

I was just astonished
what a scene.

It was nothing
I've ever seen before.

And I've seen white birds
like that up in the sky.

But these were definitely
different, not birds at all.

Oh, my gosh,
What is this, Lord?

- They're not birds.
- Oh, my gosh.

The way they were
moving, just being there,

and then they would be gone,
and they would be at a whole other spot.

It looked like a cluster,
and then it would grow

into a huge big cluster
and then a smaller cluster.

They were just coming
and going and just... It was just so different.

Just so strange.

Glitching is a good word
for what's happening here

because on the one hand
it looks like a beautiful

but maybe normal,
natural phenomenon,

like a murmuration
of starlings

moving in that almost
mercurial way through the sky.

But one, it's white.

So it's not starlings, and
two, it keeps disappearing

and truly disappearing.

- Look at that.
- I know.

What is that,
they disappear and come back.

It lights up,
then it goes away,

then it lights up
in another form

and then goes away,
then reappears in another form and then goes away.

And they go away
and they come back and they morph into different...

I don't know any birds that do that.

I've never seen
anything like this before.

And I found myself
being moved by

how moved the woman
taking the video was.

Look at that.

Oh, my goodness.

She is clearly having
a sublime experience.

She is experiencing
something profound,

and we are experiencing
it along with her.

Oh, Lord, I am just...
I am in awe. I'm in awe right now.

The experience
was so profound,

in fact, that Leann was sure

this was not just another
UFO sighting.

Look at that.
Are those angels?

Mom, what is this?

- I don't know.
- Are they angels? Oh, my God!

I've had some really
cool experiences

that the Lord
has shown me.

And this is just another one
that I feel like he showed me, but to me when I seen it,

it was almost like I had
confirmation within my soul,

like that's what I was seeing,

like it was him.
I felt like it was

the Lord's angels
watching over us.

Oh, my goodness.

Praise Jesus.
Oh, glory to God!

Glory, God.

Normally when you're
visited by angels,

you get these amazing
downloads or psychic intuitive abilities from them.

So I'm curious to know,
did she get a spiritual download

from experiencing these
glittering lights swarming in the sky?

Was there anything that
she consciously evolved to from this experience?

Because if that's the case,
then I can definitely

attribute this more to
some sort of angelic sighting.

And if so, then it's possible
that's changed her forever.

According to Leann,
the answer

to all those questions
is a resounding yes.

The most amazing
feeling came through my body, a peace, like this peace

came over me
and I just felt bliss.

It felt really good.
I was happy. I was excited.

I was in awe of what
I was seeing.

I'd say for the next week,
I was on cloud nine.

I was very, very excited
over the whole situation,

and I just wanted to shout
out from the rooftops,

like what I've seen
and what I witnessed

and what I experienced.

Glory, God.

If you are going to wade into
the paranormal pool of ghosts,

aliens and cryptids,
then it's arrogance

to outwardly dismiss
the possibility of angels.

Are they angels?
Oh, my God!

We experience the
paranormal through our own perspective.

So whenever you experience
something like this,

any person is going to intake
that differently.

To one person,
it could be angels,

to another person,
it could be aliens,

to another person,
it could be the government.

So that's kind of
what's beautiful about the paranormal.

And also what is,
uh, so divisive.

So many possibilities.

But as far as
Leann is concerned,

none that ring quite
as true as her own.

It didn't look scary,
you know, anything like that.

It was definitely
intriguing and beautiful.

So that's what
I thought, angels.

When confronted by
something paranormal,

it's natural to invoke
the protection of a deity.

After all, what better
safeguard against the unknown

than a higher power?

supernatural entity called a Jinn,

to God only makes it angrier.

for protection

Paranormal investigator
Ala Ghanim

is exploring an
abandoned building

that he believes is haunted,
and before he even enters the property,

he wastes no time in calling
for protection from a higher power.

For the first
few minutes, despite his obvious trepidation,

there doesn't seem
to be much to worry about.

But then, only a few
moments later...

...strange, unexplainable
noises from all corners of the house,

to which Ala responds
by praying even more.

And at a greater intensity.

But the praying only
seems to agitate, whatever is in this house.

A door closes on its own.

Followed by others.

He's in such a state
of heightened anxiety and terror

that you have to
wonder is, is the spirit

that's there feeding
off of his energy?

Or is his own energy
perhaps somehow manipulating

this environment that
he's found himself in?

Or could it be
that what Ala is dealing with is a Jinn?

Generally unknown in the
Western world but feared and respected

in the Middle East
and those regions,

the Jinn are a creature that
have been reported to be here

for a very long time,
predating man.

It's not a god.

It's not a human.
It's its own species, ancient,

much older than
the human race itself.

This thing lives, breathes,
eats, sleeps,

but it's got these abilities.
It has these powers.

In the Qu'ran,

Allah created Jinn from
the purest form of fire and mankind from Earth.

And the reason why he
created Jinn and man was to worship Allah.

Now, when Allah
started taking more

of a liking to mankind
and his creation from Earth,

the Jinn started
become envious of man.

And the Jinn started
to hunt man,

to torment man away
from worshipping Allah.

And you have a man literally,

as he's walking through
with a camera, praying to Allah nonstop.

Which is the absolute opposite
of what Jinn wants for man to do.

One
of the facts about the Jinn is that they're said

to appear in the form
of dust.

And if you watch this video,
you watch this guy run around, all around him,

it's just nothing
but dust particles.

So it's possible
he could be

surrounded by the Jinn
and not even know it.

Whether
he knows it or not,

Ala is in way over his head

and it's about to get
a whole lot worse.

A massive, powerful
show of force,

a door literally
blown off its hinges.

A Jinn isn't necessarily
good or bad,

but if you give them a reason
to harm you...

...then they will do so.

And this guy seems to be
giving it a reason.

Fortunately,
Ala bolts out of the house

before things can get
any more out of hand.

This investigation
is a classic example

of being tempted
by the forbidden.

This man knows

he should not
be poking around

in a location
inhabited by Jinn,

but he cannot
resist that lure.

he will be able to resist it,

emerges in China.

This thing was big
and this thing was moving fast.

It was clearly an actual
creature in the water.

The belief
in mythical creatures known as cryptids

is something that
has permeated all cultures throughout history.

The Yeti, the Chupacabra,
the bunion, their very existence

stretches the limits
of scientific plausibility.

And yet each year,
sightings of these elusive beasts

continue to be reported
around the globe,

sightings so remarkable
that the line

between legend and reality
becomes increasingly blurred.

One such example
happened recently

in a central
Chinese village,

when residents
caught a glimpse

of something swimming
in their local reservoir

and were sure it was evidence
of a legendary lake monster.

July 2020,
Luoyang in the Hunan province of China.

On what seems like
a normal summer morning,

a group of local residents
stroll along a pond in town,

when something unusual
captures their attention.

Watch closely
as a large, wormlike creature slithers

just underneath the surface
of the water.

And as a
witness notes,

this thing is huge.

So what on earth
are we looking at here?

This thing looks
very much like any number

of cryptid, unidentified
lake monsters that we find around the world.

It's sort of a long,
elongated body,

perhaps serpentine
or reptilian hanging

just below the surface
of the water.

Whatever it is doesn't
crest the surface.

It doesn't come up for air,
doesn't look around.

We don't see a tail
or wings or fins.

We just see the disturbance.

Beneath the water,
we see a rough shape.

It's unusual because
it's a smaller body of water. Normally we think

of these great big sea
monsters, living in giant lakes,

living at depths
of thousands of feet

in the ocean,
underwater caves.

But here you have
a ten-foot creature

lurking in a shallower
body of water, like a pond.

This thing was big,

and this thing
was moving fast.

It was clearly an actual
creature in the water.

I don't know
what we're looking at here,

but it's obviously
a large creature

that's emitting bubbles,

so it's emitting air
from a set of lungs, I would assume.

This would suggest to me

that it's not a
fish of any kind.

And the villagers
watching it agree.

In fact, they believe it to be
nothing less than a mythical

serpentine creature,
that legend has it,

inhabits these waters,
and given the location

of the sighting,
that makes perfect sense.

In Chinese mythology,
their dragons are thought to live

deep down
in bodies of water.

It's been a mythical creature

that's been part
of their culture

for thousands and thousands
of years and maybe, just maybe,

we haven't found
everything out there.

And maybe we're looking
at one right here.

Maybe.

But if this is indeed a
dragon-like creature that's been here for ages

or one of its offspring,
why do we have

such a small amount
of hard evidence?

The reason why it's
so hard to explore these water-based cryptids

or even alien life forms
in the water is because

it's essentially an
alien ecosystem.

We can't survive underwater.

And if you have ever
had the experience

of swimming in an
isolated mountain lake

and feeling something brush

across your
ankle or your foot,

your sudden awareness
of the precarity

of your position
in this planet

is just brought to bear
in that moment on you.

It's a really frightening
thing to know

there's an entire ecosystem
that we can't see,

that we're almost
constantly engaging just on the edges of.

Creepy, but certainly not the
first or last time we'll hear

about a sighting like this.

Places all over the world
have their own version of a lake monster,

and I don't think that's
a coincidence.

It's just
basic human nature.

We see this thing in the water
that we can't explain,

and we have kind of no choice
but to open our minds to the paranormal.

Coming up, evil
spirits deep within the Earth,

make their presence known.

Gaya,
the Greek goddess who personified the Earth.

There are many who believe
that this is not just a myth,

that the Earth is in fact
one large living organism

comprised of all organic
and inorganic matter

with the will and ability
to protect itself

against any perceived dangers
using any means necessary,

like tornadoes, tsunamis,
volcanoes

and, according to the
residents of one small village in India,

evil spirits who dwell
deep underground.

in Kendrapara, India, a man is drilling

a borewell in his backyard,
and everything is progressing normally

until the moment his
drilling team reaches one thousand feet.

Then this happens.

The earth shakes and rumbles,
spewing boiling hot water

up to 40 feet into the sky.

Panicked and
fearing that someone

may actually be
harmed or killed,

the team attempts
to clear the area.

Then finally,
after a few

terrifying minutes,
the rumbling stops.

The villagers are stunned.

What made this happen?

This looks like hell on earth.

This looks like... The Earth
could just swallow up

a house, a car, even
people at any second.

You see videos like this
and you think the world is falling apart.

The world's going to explode
and we're all going to die.

I just found myself gazing
uncomprehendingly at what was happening here.

It was the earth
and a large expanse of it,

moving in a way that,
in my mind, solid earth does not move,

the dirt becoming
like a liquid.

It looked like
quicksand or a sinkhole,

which on its own is
frightening enough.

But then this boiling
and bubbling and bursting activity.

I don't even know
what I would have done

if I had been there
watching this happen.

Whatever this is,
it's incredible.

It looks as if the
earth itself is angry

and violently
spewing in this village.

And according to some locals,

there might be
a reason for that.

They believe the strange
activity could have been caused by hostile spirits

hidden within the earth
that were upset about the drilling.

India has a very firm belief
in the supernatural

and cultures all
over the world have their own types of explanations

for things like this,
where if you disturb nature in a way

that nature does not
approve of, nature will let you know.

It actually makes me think
of elemental four earth spirits,

a cross-cultural phenomenon,
and they get exceptionally furious

when man pokes
around a little too much,

and sometimes those
spirits poke back.

If elementals were to see
this construction as a threat to their environment,

then they'll find ways
to sabotage those projects

or make the human beings'
lives a living hell

however they know how.

But what about
those who might claim this

is just some bizarre
natural phenomenon

having nothing to do
with evil spirits?

Just because
something is naturally occurring

does not mean
it's not paranormal.

I know that sounds
kind of counterintuitive,

but I do believe the Earth
to be a living thing,

and I do think that
it's powerful beyond

what we understand
it to be powerful for.

So when we see these
huge natural disasters,

these huge natural
occurrences, I think that they're worth

paying attention to.

If you believe in the power of
Gaya, if you believe in the power of Mother Earth,

where we see natural
occurrences like this, natural disasters like this,

it might be because we've done
something to upset Gaya.

Perhaps the
moral of the story is

don't mess with
Mother Nature.
