Tonopah, Nevada.

Situated in the middle
of the desert,

Tonopah is an old mining town
with a tragic history.

Many lives were lost due
to a plague in 1905

and the mine fire
that broke out in 1911.

Those who perished were buried
in the old Tonopah cemetery.

Over the years, some of the
fragile headstones deteriorated

and were lost to age
and weather.

In 1985, the Clown Motel
was built next door,

and, some believe,

right on top of many
of those unmarked grave sites.

So it's no surprise the place
is said to be teeming

with activity.

Paranormal investigators
Celia Ramos

and Johnathan Isenhour are here,

hoping to capture
some of it on camera.

And this is our video.

There's a life-sized clown
that's there

that's said to be haunted
and reported to move on its own.

So, poltergeist activity

is really what led us
to the Clown Motel.

As part of their investigation,

Celia interviews the owner
of the motel.

Between them is
a life-sized clown

that Celia and Johnathan
both know to be haunted.

Now, two years ago,
we were here

and we actually
captured his hand move

while chatting with
one of the hotel guests.

Has he moved for you
while you've been here?

Just a few minutes
into the interview,

Celia has to abruptly stop.

I need to stop.
I'm sorry.

What's wrong?

I've got, like...
heart palpitations

real strong and, like,
I feel nauseous,

and I feel like
I need to...

I needed to
stop talking.

During the interview,
I kind of felt like

I was being suffocated
at one point,

and I didn't
feel comfortable.

And that's when the burning
started to occur on my chest.

My chest felt like it was hot,
and, like, burning.

And... Like, I feel jittery
right now, also.

When you interact with
the paranormal fairly regularly,

you will come across
these moments where

you will become overwhelmed,
at times, by energies.

My hands, as you can see,
they're shaky.

And I don't know why.
It's like anxiety.

And she is dealing with

all the very, very, very
telltale symptoms --

of the nausea, the head
spinning, the body shakes.

Things like that happen
all the time

to investigators on location.

After Celia starts
feeling better,

they return to the office
to begin a spirit box session

and, almost immediately,
they get results.

Can you do that
with the hand?

Move it? OK.

Can you move
the hands now?

Do it.

While we were
sitting there,

we were getting
multiple voices

come through
and speak to us.

Intelligent replies.

I felt the wood thump
back here.

Felt a thump?Was it...

"That's me."

Are you still here?

I'm tired?
She's tired?

OK. Alright,
can respect that.

Their ghost box hits
are pretty substantial,

and I've been to that town and
it's in the middle of nowhere.

And so when you're using
a ghost box in Tonopah,

you are not getting
any radio frequencies

from radio channels
or anything --

it's just straight-up
white noise.

And the fact that we're getting
full-on sentences...

I'm tired?

It goes to show that these
energies are intelligent --

that they're able to interact
and they understand,

you know, the living
when they ask questions.

I'm going to put my
hand right here, OK?

Whatever?
Yeah.

After about an hour,
and feeling a bit worn out,

they stopped the session.

But as they're packing up
their equipment,

they leave the cameras rolling

and capture this.

Really?
It's down.

It just moved,
I just watched it.

Whoa! Both hands fell!

...joy, excitement,
and a little creepy

at the same time.

Oh, it was just
an energy rush.

When you have something like
that -- poltergeist activity

that investigators
and researchers and all that

look for their
entire lives,

and to have it
right then and there --

and not once but twice --
it's just overwhelming.

If it's the spirit of a clown,

that clown is just messing
with these people.

Come on.
You can do this.

The more you ask something,

it's kind of kid sister
behavior --

Somebody's like,
"Can you go do this?

Can you go do this?" And you
just stone face ignore them,

until the moment
they turn around,

and then you're like,
"Yeah, sure."

Now feeling like they got even more than they expected,

Celia and Johnathan
call it a night.

We had so much
activity that entire night,

but ending it with the hands
moving was just amazing.

You know, it was incredible,
and I honestly didn't expect it,

but I'm glad I left those
two cameras rolling or else

we wouldn't have captured, and
that's what we were there for.

is this the howl...

...of a Skunk Ape?

The swamp -- a great place for wildlife to hide out

and not be disturbed by humans,

because it's nearly impossible
to build on

due to the impenetrable foliage
and soft, marshy landscape.

Which also makes it
the perfect habitat

for a seven-foot-tall, hairy,
Bigfoot-like creature

looking for some privacy.

Otherwise known as...

The Skunk Ape.

But recently, a man
in Louisiana

may have captured proof
that this shy cryptid

is venturing out of the swamp
and into his backyard.

June 2018,
in southern Louisiana.

Carl Gautreaux and his family
live about a quarter-mile away

from the largest swamp
in the U.S. --

it's called the Atchafalaya.

Recently, there's been something
disturbing his dogs

in the back yard
and eating their food.

My name is Carl and these
are my videos.

For years, stuff was going on,
and we just passed it off,

"Oh, it's the neighbors making
noise" -- whatever, you know,

people use to rationalize
this kind of stuff.

Big thing that clued us in
was on December 4th.

I came home from work
to feed my dogs

and I found this 17-inch
human-looking footprint

underneath the patio.

I just knew it wasn't
my foot, my son's foot.

So I got in touch with a guy

who does this kind of stuff,
researching,

and he told me right away,
he says, "Yeah,"

he said, "I think that's
a Skunk Ape track."

A Skunk Ape track --

this obviously worries Carl.

So he positions
his security camera

on top of his dog's kennel,

thinking that whatever
was in his yard

will eventually come back.

And sure enough...

Watch as what appears
to be a head with two eyes

pops up over the fence
between the tree

and the shed.

When Carl reviews the footage,

he is terrified.

'Cause the fence
is six-foot boards

and it's two inches
off the ground,

so anything above that fence

is automatically
going to be 6'2".

Whatever we see poking
its head over the other side

has got to be massive --
we're talking 7-8 feet here.

It's certainly something that's
within the size capabilities

of a Bigfoot or even
a Skunk Ape or Swamp Ape,

for that matter.

And that's not all.

On another night,

the camera captures
these bone-chilling sounds.

If this isn't a cryptid,
I don't know what it is,

because it doesn't seem like
the sound

of any of the other large,
native wildlife of that region.

It doesn't sound like
a black bear or a cougar.

These are sort of
the largest creatures

that that are
in that natural habitat,

so when you rule out those,
what have you got left?

Well, according to
some locals, a Skunk Ape.

But if that is what it is,
what does it want?

This could be simply that
it's looking for food and knows

that if it goes in certain
houses, that it can find food.

I really don't believe we are the only house they hit.

I think they have built up
a relationship with my dogs.

I have one video where you hear
something come through the tree

almost like something
was thrown through the tree.

You can see my dog go over,

sniff it,
eat it -- whatever it was.

So maybe it's a bribe
to keep him quiet --

I really don't know.

Maybe the dogs themselves
are attracting this creature.

There's a lot of legends
throughout the United States

of these Bigfoot-like creatures
attacking,

killing, and sometimes
even eating domestic dogs.

Let's hope not.

Whether they have a Skunk Ape
in the backyard remains unclear,

but one thing's for sure...

I hate to admit this,

but I sleep
with a loaded shotgun.

I mean, it's disturbing. I have,
basically, nightmares about it.

In England, there's
a property that many consider

to be one of the most haunted
locations in the country --

The Ancient Ram Inn.

Built in 1145, it was
originally the home of a priest,

and later went on
to become a motel and pub.

According to reports,

the structure was built
on ancient pagan burial grounds,

and throughout
its almost 900-year history,

it's been the rumored site of
witch burnings,

ritual sacrifice,

and demonic presence.

Recently, a team of
ghost hunters

went to this house of horrors
to investigate.

And what they found
scared them...

...silly.

August 2020,
in Gloucestershire, England.

After a successful first visit,

paranormal investigators
Tony Ferguson and Paul Cissell

have returned to
the Ancient Ram Inn

to gather more evidence.

My name is Paul.My name is Tony.

And this is
our video.

We'd actually visited
a week before,

believe it or not, and
so much activity happened.

So we're going back to
try to bungle up the stuff,

that's when we came back,
and it just literally

all kicked off
in the first hour.

Tony and Paul start out
on the first floor

in the former stables,
called the Mayflower Barn,

where physical attacks
by mysterious entities

have been reported.

Today, the two are attempting
to communicate

with the spirit
of a young child named James,

who reportedly
haunts the building.

Is this James?

To do that, they're using
a REM Pod.

REM Pod stands for
Radiating Energy Module.

What it does, it sets up
an EM field around it,

so that anything
coming into the field

will set off lights
and an alarm.

This is one of those
trap devices that we use

just to try to encourage
interaction.

Is that the children?

Are you playing?

James?

It doesn't take long
for them to get a response.

Oh, OK.

Are you six years old?

Yes, you are.

Then, one of the team's
closed circuit cameras

in another room
begins to glitch.

I'm just going to
check on the camera,

just to make sure
it is still running.

So Tony goes to fix it,
leaving Paul by himself

to try to communicate with James

or any other spirits that might
be dwelling in the old barn.

Those spirits
that are here,

please, can you let me know
you're around?

Can you manifest around me
in some way?

So while he was gone,
we had our normal camera

still focused on myself,

so just while I was
on my own there,

I carried on
calling out.

"Here are the devices,
please,

can you follow
what I am doing

and react to
the devices?"

So as I'm touching them,

can you do the same
in order to light them up

or to make some kind of
audible noise?

I'm going to set
the equipment off again.

And here's where things
become truly terrifying.

Listen again,

as a deafening bang nearly makes
Paul jump out of his skin.

I don't get fazed
by things like this,

but that scared me.

I think, in situations
like this,

when you're calling upon
a spirit to communicate with you

and then it does -- definitely
don't take that as coincidence.

The interesting thing
was nobody else heard it,

even though you can quite
clearly hear it on camera.

Oh, off!

Tony said,
"I didn't hear it."

Now, that's weird --

when there is a noise
that is not something

that is absolutely obvious
to one person,

and someone else
who's close enough

that they would absolutely hear
any natural noise --

if they don't hear anything,

that is a significant piece
of evidence,

because that suggests either the
targeting of the first person --

that was something
only for them to hear --

or some sort of barrier
around that particular space.

Tony and Paul were freaked out,

but determined to continue
the investigation.

So they moved to the attic,
where some say

a former innkeeper's daughter
was murdered.

And suddenly things
get really weird.

There we are, two adults
who would normally be...

Serious, yup....quite serious...

...on an investigation,

and suddenly, there
we are, uncontrollably,

as if we've just knocked quite
a few whiskeys back.

There we are, suddenly
sort of out of control,

where we're laughing and
being very, very jovial,

and no matter how much
we tried to stop it...

We can't.

This is often an indication
that the entities,

the spirits
that are in this room,

are actually pulling energy
from the investigators,

which makes them feel
light-headed and a little woozy

and almost feeling like
they are drunk.

The bizarre laughing
fit wipes Tony and Paul out,

and they decide
to call it a night,

both leaving with
a new perspective

on the Ancient Ram Inn.

So myself, the Ram Inn,

I was very skeptical about
the stories being told,

just the whole experience
in general.

It definitely changed
my eyes to the location.

It's one I'm never
going to forget,

that's for sure.

There is more happening
within this dwelling

than probably we understand
and meets the eye.

This is something
that is worth

going back
to investigate,

and I will do
in the future,

obviously,
we will do together.

Are these UFOs...

Whoa, what's that?

...spying on Fort Knox?

That's UFOs.

Bro, what the.

Fort Knox is
a U.S. Army base in Kentucky.

It's also where over half
of the country's gold reserves

are stored.

To say that it's one
of the most well-guarded

and protected places in the U.S.
is an understatement.

So, when a bright,
cone-shaped UFO

was spotted near here in 1948,

the Air National Guard

immediately sent
a pilot to investigate.

That incident became one of
the most publicized UFO reports

in U.S. history because, sadly,

the pilot lost his life
pursuing it.

Recently, footage of another UFO

in the Fort Knox area
has surfaced,

leaving many to wonder

if it has anything to do with
the fortified vault building.

I've never seen
that before.

Vine Grove, Kentucky.

Cody Jobe and his brother

are finishing up work
for the day

when they spot three large,
bright-white lights in the sky.

JOBE:, I've never
seen that before.

What is over it?

Whoa, what the...

There it is, that's UFOs.

I got that on video, too.

Did you?Yeah.

That's UFOs
for sure, man.

and this is my video.

The red lights were actually
a radio tower.

They were in another subdivision
just right next to ours,

so that was actually
really close.

The white lights were probably
another 10 miles or so,

it seemed like. They were in
the general area of Fort Knox.

They were a lot further away
than those red lights,

but they actually seemed
brighter than them.

That kind of stood out
to me, too,

was how bright
they actually were.

What is over it?

Looks like cloud
or something.

Whoa! What's that?

I really wasn't sure
what they were.

We just kind of watched them
for a couple of minutes,

maybe thinking, you know,
they could have been

like Chinese lanterns
or something like that.

Yeah.

Oh, one just
appeared again.

As soon as they started
appearing

and then disappearing
and everything, I kind of knew

that it was something definitely
a little bit different.

The silent and curious
lights remained in the sky

for about ten minutes
after Cody stopped recording.

Later, he watched the footage
over and over again,

trying to figure out
what they were,

but wasn't able to
come up with anything.

After watching the video
a whole bunch,

definitely didn't look like
anything like Chinese lanterns

or flares or anything like that,

so it was definitely
kind of a surreal feeling.

But Cody did have a suspicion

that whatever it was
was somehow related

to a nearby landmark --

namely, Fort Knox.

That's one of the things that definitely intrigued me too.

It was more over towards
the Fort Knox area --

that kind of caught
my attention.

Just uttering the
two words, "Fort Knox,"

you assume that there's going
to be technology,

military hardware,
security in play

that maybe this is part of.

Maybe this is something we don't
know about or haven't seen yet.

Or maybe this is an attempt

by some other force
to encroach upon those grounds.

Fort Knox, as we know,
is a home of a lot of gold,

which is very valuable
to humans.

It would make sense to me that

these aliens, or UFO activity,
would happen in this area.

If these are extraterrestrial craft of any kind,

they're certainly
not trying to hide from us.

I mean, you don't turn on
a bright white light

if you're looking

to surreptitiously
observe a military base.

They keep appearing
and disappearing.

They're super bright.

What is this light source?

Like, where is this coming from?

Is this one individual craft
amongst several,

or are all of these lights
part of one craft?

I think if we were to get closer
to these balls of light,

or UFOs, we would start to see
that it actually, in fact,

is a triangular shape.

And if these aren't indeed
manmade crafts,

why are they within
our flight spaces?

That's a very good question.

Cody has a theory.

As big as the universe is,
the possibilities are endless.

My best guess is that it's not
actually, like, an alien craft

or an alien species,

it's more like a... like
an artificial intelligence,

and they come here
to actually study us

because they don't have any more
organic life on their planet

or, you know,
anywhere near them.

So we're the closest thing

that they can kind of study,
I think.

What makes it scary
to think about

is what is that intel for?

What's the intention behind
all of this observation?

These are questions we may never know the answers to.

Regardless, Cody is
just thrilled to have seen

what many people
don't get to see in a lifetime.

I've always been
really interested

with the sky and space
and everything,

so I've always been
looking at the sky.

So it was kind of cool seeing
that. This was my first one,

you know, being 22 years old
and everything.

And he is hoping
it won't be the last.

Whenever we're working back
in that subdivision,

I kind of keep my eyes
up in the sky

a little bit more at night.

Detroit slammer.

In Detroit, there's
an abandoned building that

was the former location
of the 6th Police Precinct,

frequently used
to house prisoners.

Known as the MacGraw station,

the building dates back
to the early 1930s,

and was the site
of prisoner deaths

and police officer suicides.

Eventually abandoned in 2005,

the property was purchased
in 2014

with plans to convert
the building into a data center.

But, as renovations began,
there was a spike in bizarre,

unexplained events

that many believed
were paranormal.

Some construction workers
were so freaked out,

they immediately
walked off the job.

A team of ghost hunters has been
thoroughly investigating

the site for quite some time,
and what they discovered

will make your skin crawl.

It's 2020,
in Detroit, Michigan.

Joseph Warner and his team
of paranormal investigators

have returned to
the Motor City's

former 6th Police Precinct,

a place they've been
investigating

for a year and a half.

My name is Joseph
and this is my video.

I've been there probably about
20 or so times, if not more.

It's actually a very weird
feeling -- when you walk in,

it's like a sudden impact
of just sadness and anger.

The old MacGraw precinct

saw more than
70 years of action,

and in that time
there was corruption, suicide,

murders, riots.

So, of course,
all of those things together

are part of
the paranormal playbook

for a haunting.

There's been rocks thrown.

There's been people scratched.

There's been people
pushed downstairs.

Just about anything
you can think of

has actually happened there.

The case with many places
that are said to be haunted --

when you start
to redevelop them,

you tend to stir up the
spiritual activity within them.

Tonight, Joseph is
sleeping over.

his bed is on the hallway floor,
surrounded by 10 jail cells.

Next to him is a Spirit Box,

a device that scans
radio frequencies,

which spirits then use
to piece together words

in order to communicate.

Joseph drifts off to sleep.

Then at 3:00 A.M., watch closely
as something startles him.

Watch again in slow motion

as an orb flashes for a moment
right by Joseph's head.

I woke up out of a dead sleep,

and as soon as I woke up,
the spirit box went off,

and I had my flashlight
and I looked around

because I felt like there was
someone standing on top of me.

And I kind of woke up
in a panic.

After realizing
no one was there,

I tried to go back to sleep.
I had a bag of protection,

kind of grabbed it,
put it to my chest,

and then I just went
to sleep from there

and nothing bothered me
for the rest of the night.

But the next day,
Joseph is bothered

by what he sees when
he plays back the footage

and realizes
what had woken him up.

I was reviewing the footage

and I immediately
just got goosebumps

and like a nauseous feeling.
I'm like, "What was that?"

So I actually clipped
the static camera feed,

put it into a few programs
to zoom in and enhance it,

and when I actually saw
what it was and I still...

I honestly
couldn't believe my eyes,

there's no way that
that's what came out

and hit me
in the middle of the night.

To me, it looks, like,
almost like a skull --

it had a distinct features
of two eyes and a mouth.

It doesn't look like
a happy face.

Usually when we see
light anomalies,

they are things only noticed
in retrospect --

when someone's
reviewing footage.

It's usually not something
that anyone sees or is aware of.

But again, we have that
overlap of evidence --

so something wakes him up,

and when we go back
and look at the video,

we can see this bright light --
that's really compelling.

Joseph believes the
reason the skull-like apparition

came at him has to do with
his profession.

I was a state trooper
in South Carolina

before moving to Michigan and

I became a police officer
in Michigan.

A spirit can often see
pretty much everything,

so these spirits could tell that
there's law enforcement

in the room,
and they're not happy about it.

And the EVPs that
Joseph and his team

managed to capture on subsequent
visits seem to back that up.

Here, he tries to interact
with whoever

or whatever is present
by incorporating the cells.

Do you need to go in
the jail cell?

I find it fascinating
that the investigator himself

is a police officer.

He serves as a walking,
talking trigger object

with which potential spirits
can interact.

They're aggressive
towards cops,

but they're also coming
from hardened criminals

inside of a jailhouse,

so it's possible that
could be residual energy

in that's just rhetoric that
they were repeating in life.

I don't think their ideas
have changed.

Joe could have been any cop.

Whether the spirits
have a problem

with Joseph specifically or not,
he does not feel in any danger

and plans to continue
his investigation

for as long as it takes.

Nothing scares me.

Nothing's going to stop me from
ever entering these buildings

or doing things to try
to capture good evidence.

Could this be
a city in the clouds?

Since the dawn of time,

man has envisioned a sacred
place among the clouds,

whether it be a palace for the
gods of ancient Rome or Greece,

or a heaven where we reunite
with ancestors

after our time here
on Earth is done.

Regardless of one's beliefs,

it serves as
a comforting thought

that there is some kind of life
beyond the confines of Earth.

And recently, in China,

some startling evidence
has come to light

that suggests that these
sacred places in the clouds

may, in fact,
be very, very real.

October 2015, in Foshan, China.

It's an overcast but otherwise
relatively-normal day

in the city, until
something in the sky

brings everything to a halt.

This.

Watch again as what appears

to be an entire city skyline
floats

in a layer of clouds
above the city.

The hundreds of witnesses
watching from below are stunned.

Then, just a few moments later,
it is gone.

What was it?

If this were just a report
told by numerous people

that were in a same locale
at the same time,

I could understand
that maybe it was mass hysteria.

Maybe they were all feeding
into each other.

But when have you ever heard
mass hysteria caught on camera?

If you look at
ancient texts about

cities in the skies

or how heaven's an ancient city
in the clouds --

I think that when we see
something like this,

it just brings all of that
narrative into reality.

Like, are we possibly
looking at Heaven?

Or could this be a reflection
being projected at us

from some higher intelligence?

Maybe.

But when a similar phenomenon
happens in 2019

along China's Hongze lake,
there's a twist.

The buildings that you see here
on the other side of the lake

have just appeared
out of thin air,

and if you look closely,
they seem to be ancient.

And if you're having
any doubts,

take note of the modern-day
wind turbine here.

Now, look at another shot
just moments later.

The wind turbine is still there,
but the city has vanished.

There seems to be no cohesion

between the images
that we're seeing --

it seems like what
we're looking at

is a conglomeration of
all time and space.

Like, there's no
timeline that it exists on,

so is it every timeline?

Are we looking at a rift
in time and space

that is exposing that this area,
this spot of the world

is the entire concept of time?

We're looking at
the circle of time.

We're looking at all time
happening at the same time.

Trippy.

But whether a glimpse of Heaven,

a view into the past,
or something else entirely,

one thing's for sure --

mankind's search for life
in the skies will never end.

Humans have always
looked to the skies

and seen things up there,
including cities.

And I think it speaks
to this innate human desire

to find purpose
in the clouds above.

Whatever it is, it excites the
imagination and makes you think,

"OK, all the things
that we wonder about...

maybe."
