that we were actually
making that connection.

The ghost of a long-deceased cat shows up on its owner's couch.

So I'm like,
"God, I think that

this looks exactly
like Blackjack.

Do you think it could be him?"

And even more paranormal footage you have to see...

Dude, I don't know.
These are fascinating.

...to believe.

Florida, otherwise
known as the Sunshine State --

a place of beautiful beaches,

a certain world-famous
theme park...

...and a plethora of
first-rate golf courses.

But look a little deeper...

...and it gets
a little more terrifying.

Think alligators,
the legendary skunk ape,

and as one young man recently
spotted in his own backyard,

a 12-foot werewolf-like creature
that may very well have been

This is the exact spot.

...a dog man.

in Fort Pierce, Florida,

Davarius Stubbs is sitting

in his back doorway
smoking a cigarette,

when he notices something moving
in the woods behind his home,

so he snaps a quick picture and
immediately puts it on Facebook,

asking if anyone else
sees what he sees.

A human, dog-like face,
almost like a werewolf,

that seems to be staring at him.

Davarius is chilled to the bone.
But it gets worse --

A couple of hours later,
a freaked-out Davarius

gets on Facebook Live to
discuss the photo with friends.

As he's live-streaming, he goes to his back door

to show where exactly
he took the photo.

Watch carefully.

Ooohh!

Did you catch that?

Watch again in slow motion,

as an enormous,
beast-like creature

jets across Davarius' backyard.

What...the...hell was that?

My name is Davarius Stubbs,

and I'm the person who
recorded the live video.

Ooohh!

Ohh!

I don't know where it
came from or why it came,

but it just popped up
out of nowhere.

Ooohh!

It shocked me, because
it was unexpected.

I wasn't thinking
anything like that

was gonna pop up out of nowhere,
so it kind of freaked me out.

I slammed the door,

and I really wasn't trying
to see anything after that.

Ooohh!

Ohh!

This is horrifying footage
for so many reasons.

The curvature, not
only of the spine,

but the way that
it goes into the legs,

is unlike any humanoid
I've ever seen.

Immediately you can count out

that this is
a person in a costume.

If you look closely,
it's almost a bit translucent.

You can almost see
through this creature,

like it's made of smoke or
steam, or something like that.

I get the sense
that it was almost

phasing in and out of our
reality, almost as if it had

the "Predator" cloaking device
on it, but it was faulty,

and bits and pieces
of it were being

revealed and re-cloaked
as it walked.

Seems to be
a little more ethereal

when it goes by in slow motion.

Even in fast motion, though,
it's hard to see it.

Ooohh!

The details are not
very present,

and yet you're left
with an overall image

of this uncanny creature

moving very, very fast
right past the camera lens.

The incident had
me a little spooked,

that I couldn't even
sleep that night.

I stayed up
until the sun came up.

I didn't even think about
going to sleep.

So, the obvious
question -- what is this thing?

Could it really be
some kind of werewolf,

as the first photo suggests?

Or perhaps something similar,
known as the dog man --

half dog, half man,
all terrifying.

These dog men have been
seen since the 1930s,

and they're not
just seen in America,

they're seen all over the world.

It might just be a, you know,

bipedal creature
that we know nothing about.

I can tell you that
whatever this is,

it's not a known animal
that I'm aware of.

It's not something that
we've ever seen before,

and it's something
extraordinary.

I just don't know that
it's a dog man, necessarily.

People have been telling me
it's all types of things.

I've heard it was supposed to be
a skincrawler or a rake --

it was all kind of things
that I heard

and I'm was supposed to be,
but I really don't know.

Davarius is
no closer to figuring out

just what on Earth
he saw that night,

but he is now on
high alert all the time.

To this day, I'm baffled.

I still don't know what it is,

still don't understand
what it is,

and I don't even understand
why I saw it, but...

Yeah, I don't know what it is.

cats have played a significant
role in mythology and folklore.

Some ancient Egyptian deities

were depicted
with catlike features.

A Persian legend describes cats
as having magical origins...

...and the Norse goddess Freya

was said to drive a chariot
pulled by two black cats.

Even today, many cat owners
believe their cats

have senses and abilities
beyond human comprehension,

allowing them to transcend
the bounds of ordinary life.

So would it be that
far-fetched to imagine

after your cat passed away,
it might come back for a visit?

Not for one couple in England

who may have captured
video footage of exactly that.

May 24, 2020,
in Swindon, England --

after Chloe Cooper
and her partner Xavier

returned to their home
from a family barbecue,

Chloe reviews her living room
security camera footage

to see what her mischievous
cats, Logan and Rummy,

have been up to while
she and Xavier were away.

Initially,
she sees nothing awry.

That is, until she gets
to the part of the video

when she and Xavier return home

As the room's lights turn on,

keep an eye on
the couch to the left

as the form of a cat
begins to materialize,

becoming seemingly solid
as the camera adjusts

from night vision
to daylight mode.

And that fully-formed cat
was neither Logan nor Rummy.

I'm Chloe Cooper. This is my
partner, Xavier Pickford,

and I filmed this video
on my security camera.

When I saw the video, like,
my heart just stopped.

It gave me the shivers
straight away.

It just completely got me.
Like, choked me up a little bit.

Chloe was choked up
because the cat in the video

looked just like another cat
of hers named Blackjack,

Pookie!who had passed away almost
exactly a year earlier.

I was like, "Oh, my God,
I think that this looks

exactly like Blackjack.
Do you think it could be him?"

It looked exactly like him.
He is just a solid black cat.

It was kind of like a,
"Oh, my God, that's Blackjack."

And then we kind of thought,
"Are we just thinking

'Oh my God, that's Blackjack'
because we want it to be him?"

When that cat
is there on that couch,

it really looks like
a real cat is there.

It's kind of amazing.

The cat doesn't just emerge.
It slowly phases into

what appears to be almost
a corporeal form.

It seems to have
volume and substance,

and that's notable,
especially when nothing else

in the room
appears to be changed.

To have something
completely solidly manifest

when the lights are turned
on that was not there before

speaks to the idea that
it's something

supernatural rather than natural
that's taking place.

And there's another
element to this capture

that makes it even more notable.COOPER: Pookie!

I couldn't help
but notice that the woman

actually pokes her head in,

almost looks directly
at the cat,

but doesn't seem to
notice that it's there.

She wasn't able to see it.

Maybe she's not
on the frequency.

Maybe she's not
on that vibration.

We know that
the full spectrum of lights,

the human eye can only perceive
a very small amount of it

where we have X-rays on one
side, gamma rays on the other.

Our perception of our
universe is very limited.

Cameras can pick up and reveal

certain bits that
the human eye cannot.

So then,
if it was Blackjack

who actually returned to
Chloe and Xavier that day,

what might have
caused the visit?

Even animals
have the capability

of sticking
behind energetically.

They have spirits
themselves, and souls,

and maybe this cat
didn't want to leave,

was really comfortable
on his couch,

comfortable living
in this house,

loved its owner,
loved being in that space.

A lot of times, the energy that
you can produce in your sorrow

kind of makes these pets
stay around for awhile.

I mean, I don't think
they stay around forever,

but I think there are
some kind of

surviving energy in these
pets that were very loved.

Or perhaps it's
not Blackjack at all --

or at least the intelligent
ghost of Blackjack --

but rather his residual energy.

What other creature loves
routine as much as a human?

Cats.

They love to sit
in the same places,

they have their spots,
they have their routines,

and we, the humans,
are their servants.

We cater to them.

And it seems with this
potentially residual feline,

we might just be seeing
the favorite spot

of a cat that used to
lord over that room.

Whatever the explanation is for the apparent visitation,

cat owners may take comfort in
seeing the image of Blackjack.

McNEILL: For a long time,
the loss of a pet

was something
that you were expected

to get over fairly quickly
and fairly easily.

Knowing that the spirits of
humans often come back to visit,

retain that connection,
remain in places where they felt

comfortable
and at home and familiar.

It makes absolute sense
that an animal spirit

might do exactly the same thing.

I'd like to think
that Blackjack

is having a good afterlife.

Mirrors...

perhaps more than
any other everyday object,

they carry the weight
of superstition

and hold ties to the paranormal.

For instance...

...breaking a mirror is
often said to bring bad luck.

Grieving customs of
cultures around the world

call for covering mirrors

to avoid trapping
the soul of the deceased.

And many believe that
even for the living,

a mirror can serve as the
gateway to another dimension --

for better or worse.

So when two Chinese
ghost hunters

inside a supposedly haunted
home looked into a mirror,

maybe they shouldn't
have been so surprised

to see someone else
staring back.

March 2020, in China.

A ghost hunter named
Xiao Long and a friend

decide to investigate
an abandoned home

that is said to be haunted
by an evil entity.

From the moment they enter

the littered rooms of
the derelict house,

they're creeped out.

Still, they decide to set up
a spirit-conjuring device

called a pang xi.

A pang xi is actually
Malaysian in origin,

and it involves using a spoon on
a board and asking it to move.

If this moves, then you know

you've established
communication,

and it's not all that dissimilar

to our Westernized
spirit boards.

It is unbelievably
cross-cultural,

the use of some sort
of stick-shaped object

and a number of options

from which a spirit can choose,
as a form of divination.

That's something that we
see all across the world.

Something just
made a loud noise outside.

Now, as Xiao Long
shines his flashlight

through the window
to investigate,

look carefully at the pang xi
board reflected behind him.

Did you catch that?

Watch the reflection
again in slow motion,

as the spoon on the pang xi
board begins to spin.

What we see here is some
pretty active communication.

Whatever entity might
be in this place,

it certainly seems willing
to present itself to them.

Of course, the downside
to using a spirit board

is that you're inviting
these supernatural presences

to make themselves known.

And once they come in, you know,

it's hard to sometimes
get them to go away.

Is it possible
Xiao Long and his friend

have conjured a spirit
using the board,

and it's now somewhere
in the house?

They take another look around.

Xiao Long notices a mirror
turned facedown on a table.

Knowing that mirrors

are sometimes portals
to the other side,

they turn it over
and look into it.

Nothing.

But they can't resist
looking one more time.

Did you see it?

The face of what
appears to be an old woman

is visible
between the two friends

in the mirror's reflection.

This is straight out
of a horror movie.

It's bone-chilling.

The old woman that we're
seeing in this reflection

sort of reminds me of
the hag or the chrome,

which is this old woman spirit

that has been seen in
cultures all over the world.

But if this is
a spirit of an old woman,

why would she only be
visible in the mirror

and not with the naked eye?

McNEILL:
Mirrors have held paranormal significance for centuries.

Looking indirectly at
something is often a way

that people can reveal something

that they wouldn't be
able to see otherwise.

So catching something
in a mirror

and then turning around,
and it's not standing behind you

is a very common experience
and a very common manifestation

of hauntings
and presences like this.

So the fact that they see
this woman in this brief moment

that they're looking
into this mirror --

she is probably there
the whole time.

Mirrors, in some
schools of thought,

are seen to be portals
to another dimension.

You're seeing kind of a direct
opposite of your physical realm.

Understandably, after seeing what they saw in that mirror,

Xiao Long and his friend

immediately run to
their car and race away...

...minds completely blown.

That old woman in the mirror
is what nightmares are made of.

Despite
the thousands of UFO sightings

reported every year
around the world,

most people will go their
entire lives without seeing one.

And of the people
who do see UFOs,

almost none of them have
ever seen one crash to Earth.

young man in Alabama

who may have accidentally
captured proof

of one of these crash landings

when he walked into
the woods behind his house

and stumbled upon what may
have been a damaged alien craft.

It's late at night,
and Kellen Horn

walks into the woods
behind his home.

He's testing out a new spotlight

and some other
recently purchased equipment

When something stops him
dead in his tracks.

Did you catch that?

Watch again in slow motion,

as a single red light
appears in the distance.

It blinks again and again.

Kellen has no idea
what he is looking at,

so he repositions himself
to get a better look...

...and sees this --

strange red and white lights

which seem to be
suspended in midair.

Kellen is freaked out,
but moves a little closer.

I'm Kellen Horn, and I'm
the one that shot the video.

It freaked me out.

It kind of scared me
that I seen the red lights.

Well, at first, I could only see

like, one or two little, red
lights behind the tree,

and it kind of just
looked like red eyes.

When I seen all those lights at
once, it kind of just, like...

shocked me.

Kellen decides not to push his luck and heads back home,

but goes back the next day
to investigate further

and finds nothing.

I didn't see anything.

I went back over to the place
I was at, and it's like,

I didn't see any buildings
or anything back there.

So what on
Earth did Kellen see?

When we first see
this clip, we think,

"This looks, you know, like a
string of red Christmas lights."

The thing is, this is
in the middle of the woods.

It's not near anybody's house.

And in addition to that,
this is July,

so that kind of begs
the question,

why would there be
Christmas lights

in the middle of nowhere, near
nobody's home, and especially,

you know, who's plugging them in
in the middle of July?

It didn't look like it was

a bunch of people
camping out in the woods.

I mean, there's obviously
no electrical outlets

in the middle of
wherever this was filmed.

So if
the lights are unnatural,

what could Kellen have
been looking at that night?

To me, my mind
jumps toward UFO --

obviously not in the sky,
obviously not flying,

so, U.O.?

Unidentified object
sitting in the woods,

flashing different-colored
lights through the trees.

This kind of makes
sense visually, at least.

You see a large object,
brightly lit,

you know, all kinds
of different lights on it.

You imagine a UFO landing,

it's almost exactly
what it would look like.

But if it was a UFO,

why would it be here
in the middle of the woods?

When I think about
a UFO landing in the woods,

the first thing
that comes to my mind

is that they chose that location

because it's secluded
and covered by trees,

so they can use the area
as kind of a home base

so they can leave
and go exploring.

Are they taking soil samples?

Are they looking for
somebody to probe?

We don't know,

but perhaps it wasn't even their
intention to land there at all.

You know, crafts are just
a piece of machinery

and sometimes they need
to be serviced,

and, you know,
they need to land.

So is it possible
that this craft,

if that's what it is,
actually crashed here?

Any UFO crash that
we have heard of

has thus far occurred
in a fairly remote area --

open expanses of desert,
wide swathes of jungle,

the middle of the ocean,

in the depths of the forest,
as this video might suggest.

It might be
that maybe it's stuck.

Maybe it's stuck on some
magnetic rocks or something,

where it can't get
the propulsion

to lift up in the air again.

I mean, who knows what
they're doing out there?

And if it wasn't something extraterrestrial?

Buckle up.

The only thing I could
think of is that maybe,

yes, it was there for that time.

Maybe there was a rip,
a gash in our reality

that allowed him to peer through

and see an earlier time,
or perhaps a future time,

when, yes, there
is a house there.

Yes, there are
Christmas lights there.

But as the moon set
and the sun rose,

that rift closed,

thereby obscuring
all the evidence.

Anything is possible,
and the lesson is clear --

beware visitors from
another time or plane.

jobs every day.

that the mines

that saw these
untimely deaths --

many of which have long
since closed down --

still resonate with the souls
of the fallen even today.

Which is why a group
of paranormal investigators

traveled to a closed-down
mine in New Jersey.

And when they looked around,

it seemed like those lost souls
were eager to say "hello."

paranormal investigators

called the Lady Ghostbusters

are exploring
the Sterling Hill mine,

whose dark past
is well-documented.

There's orbs
all over the place here.

There really are.

Yeah, they're just,
like, flying.

I'm Maryann Taylor,

and I did film the video
in the Sterling mine.

My name is Eleanor Wagner,
and this was my investigation.

They didn't document the deaths
in the mines until 1916,

so it's been
pretty established that

there were hundreds of deaths

that were undocumented
until that point.

And then, 77 deaths
were recorded

after the mines closed in 1986.

So up until that point,
77 were documented.

When something, like,
that tragic happens,

it usually ends up
being a haunting.

The Sterling Hill mine
in Ogdensburg, New Jersey,

has a very long and,
at times, tragic history.

You have cave-ins,

you have people falling
down bottomless shafts

and never being seen again,

perhaps their bodies
never even being recovered.

So these are lives that were
cut short, and tragically.

McNEILL:
And even if people make it out alive, the heightened emotions,

the loss of friends and
coworkers,

the fear and the anxiety
that someone lives with,

as well as just
the physical and emotional toll

of doing that hard, manual labor

in that inhospitable
environment.

All of that leaves an impression
on a space like that.

And on that
day in the mine,

the Lady Ghostbusters
were quickly made aware

of that impression
when they found themselves

suddenly confronted
with a strange presence.

There's the smoke again.
There's the smoke again.

Oh, my God.

Over and over again,

a white mist materializes
in front of the group,

astounding, everyone watching.

There. It's incredible.Yeah. Look at this.

Wow.

Eventually, the mist
even seems to

happen on demand from Maryann.

He looks like
he's smoking.

Yeah.

I was giddy.
It was so exciting

that we were actually
making that connection.

First thing I tried
to do was debunk it.

Like, breathing into the camera,
making sure it wasn't, like,

you know, your breath
in a cavern type thing,

and it wasn't.

Oh, my God.

Well, and I can tell you
that the entire mine was clear

and devoid of any kind of smoke
or fog or insects whatsoever.

It was just
blank, black chamber,

and then all of a sudden to
have this happen and appear --

it was definitely
stunning to all of us,

and everyone was so excited.

Oh, my God.

Could these be the spirits

of long-deceased miners
making themselves known?

Most of the time, when
I see mists like that,

I think it might be
their their breath,

but it's usually white.

It's lighter than that
color that we were seeing.

This was not just random
puffs of smoke appearing.

This was people asking
pointed questions --

Can you do that again?

And then all of a sudden,
this beautiful, misty smoke

appearing in response
to those questions.

Isn't that incredible?

Ooh!

Oh, my God.

What that tells us is,
there's something here

that maybe doesn't
have the firmness

or the strength to
manifest in a human form,

but it's manifesting.

It's showing us its presence
in whatever way it can.

To me, that is way scarier

than a ghost or
a physical apparition,

because mist sets a scene,
it creates an atmosphere,

as opposed to
presenting itself to you.

It's creating
the atmosphere of death

rather than presenting
you with death.

And to me, that is
10 times scarier.

That is really something.

Whatever the cause,

Eleanor and Maryann
have a theory

as to what exactly they saw
in the mine that day.

What we were thinking is,
it was just energy,

or energies,
that were taken from us,

and they were excited
that we were there,

because somebody actually
could see them.

We felt that there was something
they wanted to tell us,

and that's what you go
into an investigation for.

Or could there be another, even stranger reason for the smoke?

Some researchers
claim that quartz,

a mineral that's
found frequently

throughout the country,

has the ability to store
certain information.

In fact, they use parts
of quartz in your computer

to store information.

If you have a traumatic event
in these tight spaces

with all of these quartz
and minerals,

the Earth, the environment

will literally trap
that trauma within it

and release it sporadically
when the conditions are right.

There you go.
There it is.

Regardless,
Eleanor and Maryann

were just happy
to have witnessed it.

I thought for sure we were
gonna be scared being there,

but I don't think
any of us were.

I really don't.

You can't be afraid.

I always laugh
when I see professionals

and they scream and yell
when they catch something.

And I'm like, "You want
to catch something."

That's why you go
on an investigation.

If you're that scared,
don't do it.

keep showing up in Louisiana?

These are fascinating.

Have you ever
heard of ley lines?

Originally coined by amateur
archeologist Alfred Watkins,

ley lines are intersecting lines
carrying supernatural energy

that are marked by
sacred locations,

both natural and manmade,
all across the globe.

Ley lines are thought to connect
over places like Stonehenge,

the pyramids of Egypt,
and the Great Wall of China.

And even, according
to some ley line maps,

the state of Louisiana.

So maybe the mysterious
paranormal energy

that supposedly connects
over the state

is the reason for a recent
spate of UFO sightings --

ones that look just like this.

I don't know.
These are fascinating.

I have not seen anything
like that before.

January 5, 2020,
in Sibley, Louisiana.

A man is watching
a football game on TV.

During a commercial break,

he steps out the back door of
his home to smoke a cigarette,

when suddenly...

he notices this.

Several blinking, white lights

with no discernible pattern
or consistency,

flashing just overhead.

After a minute of silently
filming with his phone in awe,

the man musters up an attempt
to describe what he's seeing.

Dude, I don't know.
These are fascinating.

I have not seen anything
like that before.

I just came outside and
they been crossing the sky.

That is a
west-southwest direction,

coming from the northeast.

The lights continued
for several minutes

before fading away for good.

This clip is incredible.
If I didn't know any better,

I would say I was looking
at a scene from "Star Wars."

McNEILL: What stood out
to me, stylistically,

is sort of the sparkling
or spangling nature

of the way that these lights
were flashing and moving.

So it was less about
an organized formation,

at least to my eye,
and more about the way

that the lights
were flashing on and off

and moving in concert
with each other.

They're going off what seems to be a repeating pattern,

almost like a warning light

that goes off sporadically,
in intervals.

I believe
that these UFO show up

to convey some
sort of message --

whether it's a message
through color,

which could mean intention,
or a message through blinking,

which could be something
similar to, like, Morse code.

Researchers believe that
a lot of these lights like this

are actually motherships
that are cloaked,

hiding in our atmosphere,

and perhaps, an electrical
storm malfunctions the lights,

causing them to blink.

Incredibly, a similar sighting was caught two months earlier,

only 30 miles away
in Shreveport...

Hey, now you can see it.

What the is that?

...which is, notably,
west-southwest from Sibley.

That is a
west-southwest direction.

This could absolutely
be the same phenomenon

being cited from
two different locations --

both in proximity to each other
just a few months apart,

meaning whatever's taking place
here, whatever these lights are,

is something that may
have been happening

for at least
several months at a time.

If so, what is
attracting UFOs to Louisiana?

There are certain places
in the United States

where paranormal activity
or supernatural stuff

just seems to
concentrate or coagulate.

And Louisiana is absolutely
one of those places.

It's a place where
the physical environment,

the geographical location, lend
themselves to the mysterious,

the different, the weird,
the unexpected.

We see a lot of legends,
folk beliefs,

supernatural occurrences,

taking place
in this particular area.

Over this
particular area in Louisiana,

where all these
ley lines conjunct and meet,

could be a very special place

where extraterrestrial visitors
might need energetic fields

so that their crafts
can be charged up,

so that they can travel not only
to other places on this planet,

but to other places within
the galaxy or the universe.

Mind blown.

But whatever these things are,
one thing is clear --

something is out there,

and it's up to us to
figure out what or who it is.

These things seem to have some
kind of intelligence to them.

They seem to be
communicating to someone,

either themselves
or someone on the ground.

But what could they be saying?

I don't know.
These are fascinating.

I have not seen
anything like that before.
