when you see something that big
rummaging through the snow.

of school spirit...

I actually thought this video

looked straight out
of a horror movie.

It actually really
freaked me out.

...a new home plagued
by ghostly cries...

That kind of wailing
from a ghost like this,

it sends chills down my spine.

...and even more paranormal
footage you have to see...

...to believe.

Fort Widley in Portsmouth,
England, was built in 1861.

Originally planned to keep
the French out of the country,

by the time it was finished,
they were no longer a threat.

Instead, it housed POWs
during World War II,

and then became a bomb shelter
during the Cold War

until it finally closed in 1992.

Since then,
the military installation

has become notorious
for other worldly activity.

Reports include a ghostly
whistling drummer boy

and the spirit
of an angry sergeant.

Recently,
a team of investigators

may have encountered
one of the infamous spirits

that continue
to haunt Fort Widley.

What do you mean

Paranormal investigators
Kelly Chalke and Dave Cook,

along with Kelly's husband,
Fraser,

visited Fort Widley in July 2017

to try to make contact with one
of the rumored spirits there.

The area that we're in now
is the upper layer

of the northern tunnel,
is that correct, Dave?

That's right.CANO:
I've been in that location.

I've conducted EVP sections
in that room,

and I've gotten audio evidence

of paranormal activity
in this place.

So there are definitely
presences at Fort Widley.

Kelly and Dave
were decidedly believers,

but Fraser, on the other hand,
was very much a skeptic.

However, he agreed

to film his wife's
ghost-hunting adventures.

I'm Kelly.
And I'm Fraser.

Dave and I believe in
the spiritual things,

but you have
never believed.

You were quite
a skeptical. No.

I'm more --
more about the science.

What I can see
is what I believe.

I'm more science.

I don't really
believe in any of this.

Kelly, Dave, and Fraser
were in the north chamber,

focusing on making contact
with the ghost of the sergeant.

They had heard stories
claiming this was not

a particularly pleasant spirit
and if angered,

he would make people
feel uncomfortable in his space.

We're here to try
and communicate

with any spirits
that might be here.

We come with
the greatest respect.

Dave and I at that time
were very much more in tune,

if you like,
or believing.

Fraser always takes
the back step.

He's like -- He's like,
"Yeah, whatever.

I'm just here filming."

We just wish to try
and get proof

of your existence
or you being here.

So if you would like to
show that to us in some way,

They were smart to have cameras
set up in different positions

where they could see
everything in the room.

At first, it appeared that

they weren't making
any progress.

So, if you don't like
us being here,

I welcome you

to get us out
in some way.

But then...

What?

you need your low shots.

You lock yourself in,
you know, automatically.

And 'cause you're locked in,
you're a bit rigid.

You're not moving.

And suddenly,
this thing happens.

It's like, "Whoa!
What the hell was that?"

I've personally
analyzed this.

I kept watching this
and watching this to see

if there's
any explanation

why I sort of fell.

A lot of times, phenomena
surrounds the camera guy

or the audio guy on --
on an investigation.

You know, someone that's not
actually interacting with them

because they're
less threatening,

they're not, you know,
barking all the questions.

What do you mean

What did you feel?

Somebody pushed
your back?

What do you mean
it feels sore?

Fraser complained
of pain in his lower back...

...so Kelly and Dave

lifted up his shirt
to check it out.

It felt like
I got kicked.

Felt like someone
sort of kicked me,

like, with a boot
or something.

So I was expecting, like,
maybe a bruise

or something like that,
but it was, like, scratches.

No!

You can clearly see three
scratch marks along his back,

which is indicative
of a ghost attack.

Scratch marks often found
in investigation sites

come in sets of three.

Now, many people believe

that this is done
to mock the trinity.

Ghost scratch.

No!
Yep.

I love it when
people who are skeptical

get to experience
something paranormal

because it just challenges
everything that they believe in.

I know.
I used to be a skeptic,

and I've been scratched
the way this gentleman was.

And sometimes, you need
to experience it for yourself.

No amount of evidence,
photos, video,

or anecdotes
will make you believe

until you've experienced
the activity for yourself.

Fraser left that day

more open-minded
to the supernatural world.

It was bizarre,
wasn't it?

That was our early days
of our investigating.

I acknowledge I do believe
that we come on,

and we still can't
fully debunk this.

And it's changed
his perspective completely

on the paranormal.

It has.

It's something I've never,
ever believed in

or would ever think
it would ever happen,

but it happened.

Definitely opened my eyes
to the possibilities

that there could
be something.

I'm not saying
there definitely is,

but there certainly
could be things.

Airline pilots spend countless
hours flying around the world.

While in the sky,
they'll often see things

they can't always explain,

like strange lights
or unidentified crafts.

But one pilot had
the shock of his life

while sitting in his plane
parked firmly on the ground.

In July 2017, Bangkok Airways
captain Voravit Vejjajiva

was situated in the cockpit

at Hong Kong
International Airport

when he noticed
something abnormal happening

in the next gate
and started filming.

Now, when you first see
this video,

it takes a minute to settle in
because you see a walkway,

you see people walking
through it, and you assume,

"Okay, well,
when's it going to start?

What's next?"

But when you notice there's
no plane attached to that,

these passengers
are debarking from nothing.

The pilot posted his
video of the ghostly passengers

appearing to walk from nowhere,
and it quickly went viral.

This is pretty strange.

I've never seen so many ghosts
like that in a group.

It's pretty amazing.
I mean, what is going on here?

I do believe that there can be
crowds of ghosts and spirits.

I think in this case,
what you're seeing

is the imprint of
residual energy at the location.

Just like with hotels
and hospitals,

an airport sees
a large turnover of people,

and what's going on individually
with those people

that come through

can leave imprints
regardless of the location.

I tried to see if I could
pick out any personalities

to see if I could see
any features clearer,

and the one consistent thing
about it

was that they were very generic.

And the reason for this might be

maybe that's not the spirit
of Bob and Joe and Mary,

that's just passenger number 1,
passenger number 2,

all the thousands of people
that have passed through

that entry way over the years
have just left behind an energy

that has coalesced
into a generic traveler.

Maybe it was a flight
that went down.

Maybe they just never reached
their destination.

Maybe they just continually
are getting off the plane

that they never got off.

There was a plane
that crashed in the Everglades

I believe in the '70s,

and when they salvaged
the plane,

they actually reused the parts
in other planes

that were still in service.

And from that day on,
people claim to see the spirit

of the captain of that original
flight on these new planes.

And it turns out it's because
these parts were reused,

and people think that the entity
somehow attached themselves

to those spare parts.

As for the pilot,
he says he isn't quite sure

what he saw
from the cockpit that day,

but as he travels
from airport to airport,

it's likely not going to be
the last time

he witnesses
something paranormal.

Pilots tend to be trustworthy.

I hopethat they're trustworthy,
anyway,

because they have
a lot of responsibility,

and, of course, our lives
are in their hands.

So the fact that this was
filmed by a pilot,

I think it makes it
more credible

because, of course,
that's a very credible position.

investigate a haunting
in Brazil.

When Brett Stubbs
woke up on January 2, 2019,

he thought he was going to have
a nice morning out

with his children,

but before he could get
the kids in the car,

a dark, mysterious figure
in the distance caught his eye.

Soon, what started out
as a normal day in Provo, Utah,

quickly took a turn

into a day Brett and others
would never forget.

He's on the mountain,
way far back on the mountain,

but look how huge he is.

Seriously, look how big it is.

Brett uploaded the
video to his social-media page,

where his friend Austin Craig
watched it and became convinced

that it showed something more
than just a tall man.

Austin insisted the friends
scrap the day's plans

and go investigate Brett's
potential cryptid sighting.

This morning,
Brett filmed from his home

what appeared to be
a very tall man or a Sasquatch.

So we're going to go investigate
and see

if we can find footprints.

Should we go
Sasquatch hunting?

Let's do it.Let's do it.

My name is Austin Craig.

My friend Brett recorded this
from his front driveway,

and I saw it
and immediately was interested.

It looked like a Bigfoot.

A very tall figure,
very dark head to toe,

walking up
a very steep icy grade.

This was
a very interesting video

because we clearly see
a figure on that mountain,

and based on the perspective
that we have,

it seems far too big
to be a man.

No matter what, your curiosity's
going to get piqued

when you see something that big
rummaging through the snow.

I think that Utah
could possibly be a home

to something like this.

There's fossil record
of large ape-like creatures

from tens of thousands
or hundreds of thousands of years ago.

That's clearly demonstrated.

Gigantopithecus is a creature
that did exist in East Asia

and in the Western
North American continent.

The question is, when did it
go extinct or did it go extinct?

I definitely commend these guys

for doing an investigation
right away.

You see something,
you go towards it.

You try to get more information.

Austin, Brett,
and their friend Chris

drove to the edge of town

to begin their hike
up the mountain.

You know
right where to go?

I think
just straight up.

All right.

We're ascending the hillside.

It's pretty rough going.

Lots of shrubbery and brush.

Hiking up that hillside
proved very hard for me

and my two friends,
Brett and Chris.

Whatever it was that was
climbing up here,

we've concluded that it was
a very nimble giant

'cause it's not easy to climb
this very steep, snowy mountain.

It is
very steep up here.

Yeah, it's really steep,
lots of snow,

not a lot of firm
footholds or handholds.

I've done a lot of hiking.

I'm fairly experienced in it,

but that doesn't change the fact
that it was extremely icy.

But there is not a trail
up there,

and if somebody was up there
on their own earlier,

they seemed to exhibit
no trouble whatsoever

hiking up
this extremely steep grade.

This very steep hill proved
to be kind of challenging.

Brett is headed back down.

He's going to be our scout
on the ground

to direct us
to where the suspect was.

But before Brett
could guide them

to the location of the sighting,

some markings in the snow
caught their attention.

So, I'm seeing something
that is not deer tracks anymore.

We're trying to determine
what it -- what it is.

Next to Chris, you will see a
lot of disturbed snow and Earth,

and it's slick like something
was dragged up

or down the mountain.

It continues on up.

There seemed to be an area
in the snow

where it looked like
something may have slid.

Maybe whomever or whatever
stumbled

and fell in the snow,
creating that impression.

It's very possible you could
have a clumsy Sasquatch,

just like you can have
a clumsy human.

Austin and Chris
pressed on

as Brett filmed from below.

Okay, I'm using
my exact same phone

in the same distance
where I was.

Austin's barely visible,

and Chris is more visible
but still very small.

Brett quickly radioed
his friends

to tell them
they had gone far enough.

That is exactly where
I saw the Sasquatch,

but I really can't point out --

Well, you look, I mean, it's --
you'll see in the video.

And sure enough,
when they compared side by side,

Brett's original sighting

proved to be larger
than a normal human.

We ended up being maybe
20 or 30 yards off

from the exact location
of the sighting.

But I can say
that we looked smaller.

I liked that
these people actually used

some kind of scientific method,

and you can see
from the same distance

they are much, much smaller than
whatever they found on camera.

Okay, we're going to hike up
a little bit more,

then we're going to head down
'cause it -- sun's disappearing

and it's going to get real cold.

Get out of there.
Get out of there.

Let's call it off.

All right, team.

It's been an adventure.

Austin posted the video

of the investigation online,

which prompted the Rocky
Mountain Sasquatch Organization

to conduct their own
investigation two days later.

What they found only added
to the mystery.

It's good that
we had multiple people

looking at this site

because the more people we have
investigating an area

where a sighting has occurred,

the more likely we are to find
all kinds of evidence.

So there certainly seems to be
ground evidence

for the presence of Bigfoot.

Wow.

I would have lovedto have found
something like that,

and I'd be very interested
to talk to these people

and maybe go on
an exploration with them.

You know, an outing to see
if we can find other sign

or evidence
of this kind of activity.

Seriously, look how big it is.

During the day,
schools are filled

with children learning,
laughing, and playing,

but once the students
leave for the night,

the dark, empty halls
become the perfect place

for all the frenzied energy
of the day to let loose.

And that's exactly what happened
at one school in Brazil.

One night in March 2017,
a continuous loud banging

caught the attention
of two security guards

at a school
in Araucária, Brazil.

Unsure what could be
causing such a stir,

they flipped on a camera
and went to investigate.

I actually thought this video

looked straight out
of a horror movie.

It actually really
freaked me out.

I've been on
investigations where

there's been poundings on
the wall that go on for hours,

and it's just --
it's just unnerving.

The lights are going
on and off like that

in sort of
coordination with the slamming.

It's certainly in line
with the kind of reports

we get of poltergeist activity,
where it's sort of a frenetic

and violent manipulation
of objects

and electromagnetic fields
like lights.

You could tell that there was
something bothering this entity

or whatever this thing is.

So whatever was happening here,

it was some sort of
display of emotion, for sure.

Maybe there was something
the spirit was trying

to get that guard to see.

Bang, bang, bang.

"I've got your attention.
Get over here."

So, whatever was going on
at this school,

it seemed like some information
was trying to be brought across

because when the security guard
got to that door,

the activity ceased.

When the guards
reached the door

making all the noise,

they were stumped to find
only a shallow indent behind it.

They checked all around the door
and the end of the hallway

but didn't find any signs
of human involvement.

From the video that we see,

there's no evidence
of anybody else down there,

and it didn't look like
there was really any place

for anybody to hide
if there was.

The security guards were unsure

of exactly what it was
they had witnessed that night,

and have yet to experience
the activity again.

But to this day, the staff says
they still get the shivers

while walking down that hallway.

So, should the parents
in Araucária be worried

to send their children

back to the scene
of this haunting display?

I don't think
I would have any reservations

about sending a child
to school here

mainly because when it comes
to the paranormal,

it's part of our world.

It's good to be
introduced to it,

it's good to be exposed to it,
ask questions about it,

and then it becomes normal.

It's not something to be feared.

Menacing screams
coming from the basement.

Basements are often
the creepiest part of a house.

Venturing down the stairs
and into the darkness,

one is often met with dust,
musty smells, and cobwebs.

But one of the spookiest parts
of a basement

are the strange sounds
it can omit,

and one tenant was about
to find out

just how scary
those noises can get.

In early 2016, Blake Smith
signed a one-year lease

and moved into a new house
in Douglasville, Georgia.

Having just moved south
from New Hampshire,

he was excited to make
his new house a home.

But just mere months
after moving in,

Blake began to hear
something terrifying

emanating from the basement.

All right, um...

I live alone, and, uh...

I hear what sounds like
crying coming from the basement.

I even called the police.

They found wet footprints
down there

when I let them down there,
so I-I don't know.

My name is Blake Smith.

It was probably
about a month or two

after I had moved in
is when it started...

...and it got
progressively worse.

Blake worked up the courage

to personally investigate
the basement...

Hello?

...but his presence seemed to silence the unusual sounds...

Is anyone down here?

...and he could not
find anyone or anything

responsible for making them.

And what he got did nothing
to calm his fears.

The sounds that emanate out of this basement are terrifying.

It sounds to me
like a young child

is going through
some sort of pain or anguish.

I don't know what kind of trauma

this entity experienced
in real life,

but it must have been
absolutely horrific.

To get that kind of wailing
from a ghost like this --

it sends chills
down my spine.

The first thing that came
to mind for me was a banshee.

Banshee is a spirit
from Irish folklore

that traditionally
was a woman,

a wailing woman,
who, if you heard her,

was a harbinger
of impending doom,

usually for the person
who hears the banshee.

Perhaps the wailing cries

were a sign
of worse things to come

because it wasn't long
before Blake's camera

picked up something
more than just sound.

Keep an eye on the bottom
left of the video.

Something like wailing that
occurs in a haunted location

is probably going to be tied
to an event from the past.

It would be a tragic event.

So one would have
to research the history

and try to ascertain
the cause of it.

Blake learned that both the Union and Confederate troops

moved through Douglasville,

and even though the area
didn't see intense bloodshed,

two confederate soldiers
were buried nearby.

Unfortunately, Blake's research
did nothing to quiet

the ghostly activity
in his house.

Blake spent the remaining months
of the lease

at his friends' houses
before finally moving out.

I've always thought
that I would enjoy

living in a haunted house...

...but I have to say, I wouldn't
enjoy living in this one.

and one experienced pilot
may be able to add

a recent UFO sighting

to the UK's ever-growing list
of encounters.

On July 7th, 2018, Brett Lydiatt
was enjoying a summer evening

in his backyard in Banbury,
England with his family

when he noticed something
strange hovering in the sky.

As a private pilot,
Brett has always been fascinated

by what's in the atmosphere,

so what he saw that day
especially intrigued him.

Since I was a kid,
I've always loved the sky.

It's been my element.

I just love everything
that fills the sky

and especially aviation.

I am a private pilot,
so I do, like, you know,

think that I know

when I see something.

The fact that the man who shot
this video is a pilot

means that the man has operated
expensive machinery in the air.

He knows about aerodynamics,

and the fact
that he finds it odd

and it's moving in a way
that is unfamiliar to him

lends credence to the fact
that it is something else.

That's a superb UFO.

I was sitting in the back garden
with my friend.

He was there to see it,
my daughter was there to see it,

my wife was there to see it.

No.

The kid seems
to think it's a UFO,

he seems to think it's a UFO,
and if I were there,

I would probably think
it was a UFO, also.

Cigar-shaped.

It might be just
a saucer on its side.

Through the naked eye,
it was bigger.

It was cigar-shaped,
dark gray, almost black,

and the light
reflected off of it.

Or it was a light
on the craft itself,

I don't know, but there was
a light moving along it.

It seemed to be
this metal contraption.

You would think something
like that would be heavy.

Something like that
would have weight.

It wouldn't float like that.

Whoa!LYDIATT: Can you see it?

Yeah, it's black.

It's just staying there
in one place.

This UFO has a striking
similarity to the Oumuamua,

which was the cigar-looking
spacecraft

that was spotted just recently.

Oumuamua was a cigar-shaped interstellar object

observed in the solar system
in October 2017.

Two Harvard scientists
published an article

on its unusual characteristics
and concluded

that it could possibly
be an alien probe.

If the Harvard scientists
were right,

it certainly would add
some legitimacy

to cigar-
or cylinder-shaped objects

flying around in our skies.

I think there's
enough evidence, historically,

to suggest
that we are not alone

and we're being visited
on this planet

for centuries, if not millennia.

I'm really sorry.
I can't hold this still,

but I ain't got time
to setup the tripod.

Not satisfied with the quality of the footage he was recording,

Brett decided to head inside
to get a better camera.

But as soon
as he stopped filming it,

the object disappeared.

As I turned the camera off
to go and get the tripod,

the thing just shot up
in the sky and was gone.

Where is it?

What's more
is that Brett and his family

may not have been the only ones
to have seen the UFO.

Where this was situated
in the sky,

the controlled airspace --

it runs down from Birmingham
all the way down

to Heathrow, London.

And it's very busy airspace,

and that was exactly
where it was

at that sort of altitude
where they fly over.

It was about 7,000
or 8,000 feet up.

And what I did notice
while that was there

was that there was nothing
in the airways flying,

and as soon as it was gone,

then they started
coming through again.

That was enough
to convince Brett

that he truly witnessed
something special.

I've never seen a UFO like that.
I just think I'm lucky...

or unlucky.
I don't know.

That's a superb UFO.

The popular conception
of haunted houses

is that they're always
old, rundown places,

that ghosts are manifestations

of the home's
decades of history,

heightened by dusty floors,
broken windows,

and creaky stairs.

But sometimes
the explanation isn't so easy.

When it comes
to paranormal activity,

sometimes it's just
beyond our understanding.

One day in 2006,

Benjamin Ivey
was at his mother's house

in Clinton, Mississippi,

filming a how-to video
for his graphic design class.

What he didn't know
was that behind him

something else was competing
for the spotlight.

Some of the materials

because the person
who's filming it

wasn't intending
on capturing something.

It just happened in the
background without them knowing.

This was a video
that I created

as part of a class
I was teaching at the time.

I was just kind of in the moment

trying to deliver and practice
a lesson for that day.

I jumped when the door slammed.

I didn't know what caused that
or what would have made

such a loud bang at the time.

It is a subtle movement,

but it's enough of a movement
that it doesn't look like

it could have been caused by
a breeze or something like that.

My first thought
was maybe there was, like,

an animal inside the house.

We don't live out
in the country,

but we certainly get
a squirrel in the attic

or a bird will fly in,

and so I thought maybe something
had just gotten in my house.

When I opened it up, I didn't
hear or see anything else.

It was then that I realized,
"Hey, I got that on camera.

Maybe I can see what was
on the actual video itself."

That was probably when
I was most surprised --

just to see the fact
that it opened on its own

and closed on its own.

The materials

No rational explanation seemed to fit,

which led Benjamin
to consider...

...other explanations.

It's a relatively new house.

There was no previous owners
or anything,

and that was the first time
anything major has happened.

I certainly believe in ghosts.

I think that
it could have been some sort

of interesting activity
to go on with that.

Things just don't happen
as a one-off

just for the heck of it.

There's usually
a story behind it,

a reason why activity
is taking place.

Perhaps this entity
has been trying to get

this gentleman's attention
for quite a while.

And it knew what a camera was,
knew the camera was rolling,

so it knew this is the moment

to do something big to capture
this guy's attention,

and I think it certainly worked.

But if it was someone trying to communicate from the other side,

then who was it?

And perhaps more importantly,
what were they trying to say?

Was it a cry for attention?

For help?

Perhaps a warning.

For now, that remains a mystery.

My advice to someone who's
experiencing activity like this

is stay calm.

The walls aren't bleeding,
the house isn't levitating.

You're going to be okay.

reappear over Phoenix.

On March 13th, 1997,

a group
of strange hovering lights

appeared in the night sky
over Phoenix, Arizona.

This caught the attention
of many residents that night,

including the Arizona governor,
and captivated the nation.

The incident became known
as the Phoenix Lights,

but the story only grew
more curious from there.

Now, many of the people
who witnessed this formation

were convinced that
it was non-Earthly in origin,

and even the governor
at that time

said later that he witnessed
a craft on that night.

And other people said
that they thought they saw

craft as well behind the lights.

Back in 1997,
much fewer people had a camera

at the ready than today,
so this footage

is among the only existing video
recordings of the incident,

and it only managed to capture
three of the up to seven lights

in the V-shaped formation
reported by many eyewitnesses.

It was this big triangle that just hovered over the city

or a long time.

It was a pretty big deal in
the UFO community at the time.

The government didn't
come out with any explanation,

leaving many curious
about what it was they had seen.

I think the fact
that they didn't even

want to investigate it,

"It was a weather balloon"
adds to the fact that,

"All right,
something's going on."

When similar lights
appeared in the Arizona sky

a decade later,
ufologists were excited,

but this time the military
released an official statement,

dismissing the sighting
as flares

related to exercises
in the air nearby.

The government's explanation

of it being flares
doesn't sit well

with the visual evidence
that we have.

Flares don't behave like the
objects that we're seeing here.

For many, the case was closed

until 2015, when some lights
near Phoenix

showed up yet again.

Kerrie Zakaras and her husband
were driving home from work

when they noticed
some mysterious activity.

They decided to record it
on their smartphones.

My name is Kerrie Zakaras.

My husband and I
actually kind of co-filmed it

together in the car.

When we saw them
and they didn't move,

we were like,
"Oh, my goodness.

It looks like
the lights over Phoenix."

So, we headed out
towards the hills

and decided to go investigate.

So, the video we see here
looks eerily similar

to a lot of the Phoenix
light videos from 1997.

Well, I don't think
we have to ask,

"Would they recur
over the years?"

I think we know that they are
recurring over the years.

This is an ongoing history.

They were in a line --
like a perfect formation line,

but it kind of curved,
and it was just very bright.

It looked like a spotlight
just kind of hovering.

They never got bigger,
they never got smaller.

They just stayed steady
and the same size.

No matter how far we drove,
they never got larger.

Kerrie took the video
to the local news

hoping they might be able
to get some answers.

Interestingly,
the military did respond

and claimed that they were
once more just flares.

I don't know
what a flare looks like

when it drops from the sky

or what kind of military
grade these flares are,

but it was definitely
interesting to see

that finally
an explanation came out.

Perhaps the military is trying to keep this under wraps

for public-safety concerns,
which is extremely possible

because who knows
how human beings would react

if there's actually extra
terrestrials hovering above us?

Unh-unh.

My healthcare background,

we always kind of try
to focus people back to,

you know, like, you know,
"There's no alien life-forms."

But then when you see
something that odd,

you kind of start
doubting everything.

You know,
we're so close to Area 51,

so we're kind of surrounded
by that and, you know,

the whole mystery of,
you know, what really happened.

Is there stuff out there?

Whatever the lights were,

the over 20-year history
of the Phoenix lights

continues to confound
the people of Arizona

and UFO truth seekers
the world over.
