I definitely think it was some
sort of paranormal entity.

You get a pretty
clear picture of her

and she looks like
the girl from "The Ring"

found her way out of that well.

...and even more
paranormal footage

you have to see...

...to believe.

Every day, countless
people witness something

they believe is paranormal.

And with more cameras out there
recording than ever,

it's becoming clear
with each new video

they may be right.

Chances are it's been a while
since you last stepped foot

in your home's attic,

and when you did it was
probably to stash something

you weren't ready
to throw away.

But sometime soon you might
want to venture up those steps

and take a quick look around,

because if your attic is
anything like Michael Magee's

there may be more hiding
up there than you think.

Over the course of several
nights in January of 2015,

Michael Magee of York, England

heard sounds coming from
his attic that were so loud

and unsettling he decided
he could no longer

comfortably sleep
in his own bedroom.

So last night I spent
the night downstairs.

I didn't even bother
trying to stay upstairs,

I didn't see the point.

Hi, my name's Mike Magee
and it's me in these videos.

In this house
I lived with my fiancée.

She'd actually gone away
for the week with work

and, like,
the day after she left,

I started hearing these noises

in the loft and it was
just knocking, scratching,

sort of like bumps,
and things like that.

It was like right
above where I slept,

so it wasn't just generic sounds

like maybe a gust of wind
had knocked things over.

It was personal, like, it was
personally targeting me

making sure that I heard it.

Eventually,
Michael decided

to take matters
into his own hands.

Setting up a recording
device in the attic

that would be left running
throughout the night.

I'm gonna set
the camera up over here

and I'll leave it there
a couple of nights

and see what we can catch.

And what he caught
on his second night of filming

confirmed Michael's
initial suspicions.

He was dealing with
a full fledged haunting.

It starts off humbly enough,
I would say.

A box moves a little bit.

The guitar falls,
leaning up against a beam

and it falls,
I could see that.

But eventually what looks
to be a fairly heavy box

falls over and I think
that that literally

gives weight to this
video and that it would

take a certain amount
of force to move that.

This footage was proof
enough for Michael

that he had an unwelcome
entity in his attic.

So the following evening,

he attempted to confront
the ghost himself.

Hello?

Hello?

Look, if you're there,

I want you to leave my house.

No, this,
I'm staying downstairs.

If there is this
level of activity

genuinely going on in his home

or anyone's home
for that matter,

it's a cause for alarm.

If you're there, I want
you to leave my house.

These kinds of phenomena
have over a prolonged period

a negative affect on people.

They will affect people's
mental, emotional,

and even physical health.

No, this,
I'm staying downstairs.

It can get whatever it wants.
I'm just -- I'm done.

I'm done.

I personally would
never advise anyone

to engage with
a spirit like this,

especially by yourself at night

because you don't know exactly
what's gonna happen.

I was absolutely terrified
to go up and confront it

but I was always
brought up to believe

that you face your fears
and with things

like the paranormal and spirits,

there are supposed to be rules,

you're supposed to be
able to tell them to leave

and they do so and it
just wasn't the case.

And that continued, I mean,
for about four or five months,

we stayed in that house
and then we moved here.

For his part,
Michael isn't quite sure

it's the attic that's haunted.

Now this wasn't the first
house that I experienced

paranormal activity in.

As far as I'm concerned
it wasn't the house

that was haunted

it was something
that was following me

that was attached to me.

It started in 2010
when I lived at home with my mum

and I moved away to uni,
it followed me there.

I started hearing
things moving around,

knocking and banging
and things like that

and even here we're getting
paranormal activity.

It's nothing to
the level that that was,

but to this day there
are still things, you know,

being moved around the house.

Certain individuals
seem to be more prone

to haunting phenomena

and they may be trigger
persons in a way.

There are just a lot of ways
for spirits to attach

and to get in and affect
a person's thoughts

and emotions and even
their physical well-being.

I want you to leave my house.

Flowing right through
the heart of London,

the picturesque River Thames
has been a cornerstone

in English folklore
for generations.

The Thames has
inspired ghost stories,

urban legends, and pagan rituals

going back thousands of years.

The river
seems to be surrounded

by an air of ancient mystery.

In fact, an etymology
of the name suggests

that it could've come
from the Latin, Tamesis,

meaning the dark one.

Stories and tall tales aside,
is it possible

that there is still something
lurking in the darkness?

In 2016, a passenger on
the Emirates Airlines cable car

over the Thames was
filming the stunning views

along the ride when they
accidentally captured

something breaching
the surface of the river.

But only for a few seconds.

You see off to the side
something popping up

out of the water in the Thames.

It looks kind of like fins,

it looks like maybe
the back or the tail section

of some large creature.

Weeks later another
onlooker managed

to capture a similar
encounter on video.

Something dark seems to pop up,

but we can't really
see a lot of detail

in terms
of what might be there.

It looked like something
sort of crested

and then went back down.

It was a little jarring,

like what's going on in
that river over there?

You know, rivers aren't supposed
to have big creatures.

You can tell it is
quite a large object

and does seem to be moving.

Just outside London,
the Thames turns into an estuary

and eventually flows
into the North Sea.

For this reason, it is possible
that this river visitor

came from further depths.

There have been reports
of whales and dolphins

but it certainly doesn't appear
to be either of those to me.

You can almost see
humps as the creature

dips below the surface.

Many people theorize that
whatever this thing is

could be related to
the Loch Ness monster.

These two sightings
suddenly had Londoners

and viewers the world over

buzzing about what creature
may now be stalking the Thames.

The oceans are so deep,
we certainly can't explore

some of the deepest
parts of the ocean

and there may be creatures
that are natural to the planet

that we don't even know about.

All over Europe
we have sightings

of large sea creatures
that are previously unseen

or previously unknown.

They're popping up more
and more regularly now

because of the change
in ocean temperature

so it makes sense
that this sea creature

would show itself to
the people of England.

So has something that
was once relegated

to the furthest
depths of the ocean

migrated to one of
the biggest cities on earth?

When you take the depths of
these trenches in our oceans

that we can't reach
the bottom of,

places that are
inaccessible to us

or extremely difficult
for us to reach,

to rule out anything
being in existence

would just be foolish.

If it is a cryptid
so brazenly coming in

to a human occupied area,
what does that mean?

What does that mean
for the creature

and what does that mean for us?

Coming up, a spirit
who watches from the woods

and strange sights in Italy.

Wandering into
the woods plays into many

of our most deeply held fears.

They are dark and vast.

It's easy to get lost.

There are plenty
of places to hide.

It makes sense then that
the dense landscape

of Cannock Chase Forest
in the United Kingdom

has a reputation as one of
the world's most haunted areas.

Just ask friends James Cooper
and David Whitehouse

who decided to take
their brand new drone

for a test flight one day in
Cannock Chase in April 2015

and were met with something
truly frightening.

There seems to be a cultural
echo that still continues

that forests are haunted places

because there's a lot of
things that maybe still reside

in there that we can't see,
so it sparks the imagination

that what could still
be living there.

Cannock Chase is
famous in England

for its weird hauntings.

It's a heavily wooded area,
stories go back a long time,

there were some tragic murders
of some young girls there

in the 1960s that may account
for some of the activity

in the area.

The murders might
serve to explain

the mysterious confrontation
that Cooper and Whitehouse

recorded that fateful
day in April 2015,

flying their drone just outside
the Cannock Chase woods.

Watch again, zoomed in

as the drone catches
a ghost like figure

standing by herself on
the edge of the woods.

When they enhance it
and zoom in,

you can certainly see what
looks like a woman in white

or maybe a child in white
standing just inside

the tree line,
it's certainly freaky.

You get a pretty
clear picture of her

and she looks like
the girl from "The Ring"

found her way out of that well.

James and David's
friends and family

were referring to the legend
of the black-eyed girl

of Cannock Chase, which has
been spotted in the forest

for decades.

With witnesses
consistently describing

a child with missing eyes,

who suddenly appears
before them

before disappearing
just as fast.

Is there legitimacy
to the frequency

of these reported sightings?

Black-eyed children
have been seen

from Abilene, Texas
to Portland, Oregon.

This footage, of course,
is from Cannock Chase, England,

so it seems as if this
phenomenon is worldwide.

They all seem to be
described in a very similar way.

They appear in broad daylight,
just as in this.

And they seem to be fully
formed physical creatures,

almost like regular children

but certainly not close
enough to think they are

regular children.

Regarding whether
or not they believe

they have the actual
black-eyed girl of Cannock Chase

on camera, James and David are
definitive in their answer.

Fortunately for them,
and regrettably for us,

that was James and David's
first and last sighting

of the Cannock Chase ghost girl.

But with specific recent
advancements in technology,

could we be in for more of
these types of sightings

in the future?

With the proliferation
of drones,

we have more opportunities
than ever to capture

anomalous footage, so I expect
that we'll be seeing

more cases like this
where drones capture

something unusual.

People travel to Italy
from all over the world

to take in the stunning
scenery, incredible artwork,

and breathtaking
religious sites.

But with so much history
and culture to experience

all over this
Mediterranean country,

one couple in 2017
witnessed something

even more jaw-dropping in Italy

than anything written in even
the most thorough guidebook.

Reports of ancient
alien activity over Italy

and the Mediterranean

have been documented for
over a thousand years.

Now in Italy, there was
an unexplained ramp up

of UFO activity in 2017,

with a dramatic increase
in terms of sightings.

One of those 2017 sightings

was captured on video
by a couple in Lecce,

located on the heel of Italy
near the Mediterranean Sea.

The couple was taken aback
by a strange bright light

in the night sky in
the distance and began filming.

Seeking a better angle,
the couple drove their car

closer to
the source of the light

and repositioned their
camera accordingly.

Suddenly, the light almost
dragged itself across the sky...

...before somehow turning
itself into a perfect circle.

Now I don't speak Italian,

but I do understand when
someone is screaming

about something that
is blowing their mind.

At first I just assumed
this was yet another

UFO video that is just of
a random light in the sky

that has no explanation
and real no movement.

But then the light does
a circular motion very fast.

It zips around at great speed

and it causes this really
interesting light effect.

What was it doing? What is it?
What was it trying to do?

Was it trying to
communicate with us?

Was it having
a technical malfunction?

I can't explain it.

Finally, just as
quickly as the light

turned into a circle,

it returned back to
its original form.

I would certainly be afraid
if I were these guys as well

because you don't
know what this is.

You don't know what
its capable of.

You don't know what
its intentions are.

I've never seen
anything like this

where what seems to be
a solid object or a light

somehow expands into this ring

with a completely clear center

and then somehow recoagulates
into a solid mass.

So what could've drawn
this object to Lecce?

Could it have been one
of its many churches?

I think the fact
that it's in Italy,

one of the connections
I see a lot

is between religious text
and aliens.

And I think that a lot of
the people who study aliens

point to the Christian text,

both the canon of the Bible
and the apocryphal text

that didn't quite make the cut

as evidence for their claims
of extraterrestrial existence.

Regardless,
was the couple's

particularly high-strung
reaction justified?

A lot of times in these videos

people are yelling like
it's the end of the world.

Maybe that's what they feel.

Maybe they feel the end
of the world is coming

because there's something
I can't explain happening

right in front of my eyes.

And given Italy's
reputation as a UFO hotspot,

perhaps it's best
that the couple

and their fellow citizens
start to get used to it.

We have more people with
more sophisticated cameras

out there so we're
going to be seeing

more kinds of photographic
evidence in the future

and some of this evidence
may actually bear out

as truly unexplained.

There's a good reason why pubs

are such a popular hangout
for millions around the world.

People gather from all
walks of life to laugh,

to celebrate, and sometimes
to raise a glass

in memory of a departed friend.

But there are some pubs
in the United Kingdom

where the dead need
not be honored.

Because even in death,

they're still somehow
sitting right next to you

enjoying the evening out.

There are plenty of
haunted pubs all over the world.

And some haunted pubs seem
to have resident spirits

that they've even named

which might be the ghosts
of people who worked there

or they might be a famous patron

or perhaps someone who even
met their end at a pub.

Pubs and bars and all
nightlife locations

are high energy places.

Tons of people coming in,
coming out,

leaving their energy there,

so it's no surprise that
something may pick up

on that residual energy,

especially in some of these
older pubs in England.

Like Ye Olde Man
and Scythe in Bolton,

a pub said to be
almost 800 years old

which recorded
someone or something

lingering long past
closing time

on its security footage
one evening in 2014.

Watch again as a ghostly figure

suddenly appears almost
as a strobe light effect

behind the bar.

Sometimes when people
pass they like to linger

in the places they loved
when they were alive

so maybe these pubs are
haunted by the people

that just never wanna leave.

That might help explain what

the surveillance system
at the Tyler's Kiln Pub

in Canterbury, England picked
up over a couple months

in the fall of 2017.

This pub is in Canterbury,

which has been around
who knows how long,

certainly a lot longer than
America's been around.

So a lot of emotional
energy has been imprinted

in this location
and after it was closed,

their security cameras
were picking up

many things moving around
outside in the patio,

they had some umbrellas
opening and closing

and chairs moving
back and forth.

Any time you have
emotional energy,

human energy
being left behind,

this can accumulate over time
and either cause a haunting

or attract a haunting.

But why would
a spirit move furniture?

What are its intentions when
it moves these things around?

Imagine how frustrating
it might be for a spirit

who can't communicate
with a friend of theirs

who's sitting at the bar
that they've been regulars at

for 30 or 40 years,

so why not use all your energy
and make something move?

Why not use all your PK,
your psychokinesis energy

and open and close an umbrella?

Who knows,
maybe some of these people

are just playing pranks on
their friends at the bar

or maybe someone's trying
to get somebody's attention

to say, "Hey, look, you know,
I'm over here

and toss one back for me."

But sometimes the hauntings

can get downright creepy.

Like this footage
from March of 2018

at a pub in Wrexham, Wales

where a balloon from
an earlier birthday celebration

seemed to signal that it
wasn't quite done partying yet.

My name's Gail Roberts.

But it wasn't until
the balloon approached

one of the pub's bar stools
that Gail and her coworker

really freaked out.

What is really
interesting about this

was the unusual path
that this balloon takes

to go under a bar stool.

It seemed as if it was being
kind of moved in,

you know, intelligently.

It manages to shimmy its
way into the bar stool

and then out the other side
and then around the corner.

And if I were to assume
that yes, this is a spirit,

this indicates intelligence,
it has direction.

A gust of wind from
a door or air conditioning

wouldn't cause such an effect.

So if it wasn't
the wind or a drift

what was it?

Gail has an idea.

Coming up, a winged
creature back from the dead.

65 million years ago,

a large meteor struck
the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico,

triggering a mass extinction
event across the earth.

And wiping out
dinosaurs forever

or so we thought.

Because if the footage
we're about to show you

is to be believed,
maybe that meteor

didn't quite finish the job.

In 2015, a lucky onlooker on
the outskirts of Boise, Idaho,

captured what appeared to
be a real, live pterosaur,

flying through the overcast sky.

The apparent pterosaur
soared unencumbered,

at one point even
turning on its back

before disappearing once again
into the Idaho afternoon.

What the?

This footage is
especially compelling

because of technology,
we're seeing animals

that were once
considered to be extinct.

And I think
the scientific community

is excited at
the thought that everything

that they thought
to be gone forever

might not be gone forever.

It doesn't seem to
have the same motion

as the birds that
we've seen fly.

Having said that, we've never
seen a pterosaur fly.

They've been extinct long
before we ever got here.

So who are we to
say what the motion

of that animal
would be in the air.

Cryptid by its definition,

is something that
we cannot confirm.

But we have tons of
other living dinosaurs

around us all the time --

things like alligators,
or, like, horseshoe crabs.

Which would totally be
cryptids if they had

gone to extinction,
back in that period

and we just don't
recognize them as such

because they're pedestrian.

And exactly where the creature

was spotted lends additional
credence to the footage.

Given the area's reputation
for mysterious encounters.

The fact that
the Pacific Northwest is so vast

and so forested, would make
it very easy to hide cryptids.

Bigfoot is said to live there,
why not a pterosaur?

If something's hiding
in the skies of Idaho

there's a lot less chance of
it being spotted by people,

than if it were flying over
New York City or Los Angeles.

But while
the newfound ubiquity

of camera phones, even in
more sparsely populated areas,

could be a cause for the rise
in these types of sightings,

there is one other theory

that some experts
are entertaining.

We can't rule out that
someone might actually see

a creature
deemed to be extinct.

Not that these creatures might
still exist on the planet,

but could they be part of
a time slip sort of experience.

We have many episodes of
all kinds of time slips.

Where people suddenly
find themselves

in familiar landscape,

and in a different time period.

And could it be
possible that if someone

is in the right place,
at the right time,

the right energized spot,

the right state of
consciousness,

that they might
have a brief glimpse

through some sort of
interdimensional window

that enables them to see
something from another era.

I think it's entirely possible.

Whatever theory you
personally subscribe to,

at this point, we simply
can't rule out anything.

You see it in
science all the time,

something is impossible
until it's not.

Until something is
discovered, and proven,

and then the rules change,
the laws change.

So it is entirely possible
that something has survived.

As of right now, yes,
we consider it impossible.

Dinosaurs are extinct,
they no longer exist,

until they do.

These days
the popularity of webcams

has resulted in ever
increasing numbers

of people broadcasting
themselves for hours at a time,

live, to audiences
over the internet.

As a result, more and more
paranormal activity

has been inadvertently
witnessed in real time.

Sometimes unbeknownst
to the person

sitting in front of the camera.

Just ask Nick Sampson,
a video game enthusiast

who streams his gameplay
live each night.

He found out the hard way,

that when the camera's running
it's not always about you,

it's about what's
happening behind you.

One night in 2016,
Nick Sampson began

streaming the night's
gaming action

from a location unfamiliar
to his usual fans

watching live at the time.

As many of you may have noticed,

the background set up
is very peculiar.

This is not what
we're used to seeing.

That is okay.

I'm currently housesitting
for my friend right now

'cause he has pets.

This is Elvis.

But after a half hour of

uninterrupted live streaming,
it became clear

that Nick and Elvis
may not have been

the only souls in
the room that night.

That is my fantastical story.

Keep an eye on
the door behind Nick's head.

But, um, yeah,
that was the tragic story

of my bringing down

of my dearest Lydia.

And only a few moments later...

Oh, my...

Hi, my name is Nick
and I'm the guy in the video.

I normally stream every
single night at midnight.

Before anything
noticeably happened

I was in the apartment for
about 45 minutes,

maybe an hour.

When things started to happen,
it was awful.

I -- yeah.

Oh, my...

That was a bad situation.

It's like the feeling
like you're being watched.

Oh, my...

What the was that?

I livestream frequently,

and so one of my biggest fears
is looking in the screen

and seeing something
happening behind me.

So these types of videos,
like, really freak me out.

Nick found nothing
when he went to investigate.

So he shut off the light,

and tried to continue
with his livestream.

But the spirit had other ideas.

What the actual?

I'm like shaking.

What the?

Switching the light off again

did nothing to discourage
the strange activity.

It gets to the point where
it's not even a curiosity,

now it seems to be taunting him.

It's waiting for him
to sit back down

and get comfortable
before it starts again.

And you can tell, through
the course of this video,

he's getting more
and more frightened.

Nick's live audience
grew concerned for his safety.

But the biggest frights
were yet to come.

I'm, like, on the low key
watching the door right now.

- Like...
- Same.

- Like I'm watching...
- It's not like we need it...

Oh, my god,
what the?

Part of me was, like,
I'm just being pranked.

It wasn't until the box
flew off the counter

that I knew it wasn't
something that'd had been set up

by somebody else because I had
brought that box with me,

it had some of
my streaming stuff in it.

So if anything was rigged,
you know,

the lights, the door,

it would've had
to be done before I got there.

And that was --
I was the last person

in the apartment when
that box was put down.

Oh, my god,
what the?

If this were to
happen 10 years ago,

we most likely wouldn't
have believed him.

But because we
have camera evidence

we can clearly see
what happened to him

and it's much more believable.

This is because we have cameras
in our everyday life now.

If there is a spirit there,

it's not used to his presence,

and is somehow disturbed by it.

I've actually spoken with a lot
of people about this event

and a lot of them say, like,
kind of a similar thing

along the lines of, like,

it wasn't happy
about the camera,

it wasn't
happy about being watched,

you know, by other people.

As the creepy
phenomena continued...

Nick finally
reached his breaking point.

this. this.

I actually ended up
calling my buddy,

and I said, dude,
I can't stay here.

Weird stuff is happening.

And I just, you know,
don't feel comfortable.

I asked him, have you
had any experiences,

have you seen anything happen?

'Cause he was just
as stunned as I was.

He said, the only
thing that he's noticed

is things out of place
from where he put them,

or like a cabinet will be
open when he didn't --

but he's never seen anything.

Sometimes
resident spirits react

against people who
come onto the property.

Take for example,
a home that's haunted.

A family could live at
a particular residence

and not be bothered at all.

And then, another family
comes onto the property,

and there's something about
this particular family

that stirs up whatever is there.

And whatever is there,
then begins to act out

in poltergeist-like ways
and many times unpleasant ways.

Upon reflection,
Nick is convinced

his encounter was otherworldly.

I definitely think it was some
sort of paranormal entity.

I don't know whether
it was a ghost,

or a poltergeist,
or a shadow person.

People have told me
all sorts of things.

People have told me
it's a demon.

And I tend to stray
away from that thought,

because I do think
it wasn't necessarily

trying to hurt me, it was
trying to be like, get out.

Oh, my god,
what the?

Coming up, a brand-new
reason to fear flying.

As civilians, we ask
a lot of police officers.

They go to work every day
in the name of our safety,

often in the face of serious
threats to their own.

Thankfully, most of the time,
those threats are manageable.

At least, when they
come from fellow humans.

But when they don't,

that's when things can
get a little dicey.

Francisco Hernandez is
a patrolman in Mexico City.

Who, in November of 2016,
investigated suspicious sounds

that were coming from
an empty airplane

parked at the airport.

According to Hernandez,

the sounds were reminiscent
of doors slamming.

And they were loud enough
that he turned on his camera.

Initially suspecting
that a person

had broken into
the plane after hours.

That is, until he
shined his flashlight

towards the rear of the plane.

And learned that
the intruder was something

much more frightening.

Terrified, Francisco
got out of the situation

as fast as possible.

Later telling reporters,

that he felt he was
fleeing for his life.

I have heard people
having strange experiences

on planes after
they have landed,

or planes that have
been decommissioned.

This is the first
time I've seen a video

that I thought was authentic.

I mean, he obviously
caught something on video.

One of the most common
occurrences I've witnessed

as a paranormal investigator
has been dark shadow figures,

known as shadow people.

You're in a dark room,
there's something at the end

of a dark hallway,
and someone says,

"Look, I just saw something.
What was it? It's dark in here."

No, no, no, but it was
darker than the dark.

That's your common
description of shadow people.

If you look closely,
you can actually see

the figure poke its
head out more than once.

It actually does it
two or three times.

It's kind of frightening.

The peeking around
doorways seems to be

a peculiar habit
of shadow people.

These entities are intelligent,
they like to observe people,

but not be observed themselves.

But regardless of
his extremely understandable

reaction to the situation,

was Francisco in
any real danger?

Could the shadow person have
done him any actual harm?

Opinions vary.

Some of them do get
a little bit aggressive.

They will, for example, jump
on people who are sleeping.

And create effects like
suffocation, choking.

If it's a spirit of a person,

or an angry person,
or a mean person,

or a bad person,

they don't have
the tools to hurt you.

So no, I don't think
he was in any kind of danger.

The only danger
he would've been in

is, you know,
tripping over himself,

falling down the stairs
trying to get out of there.

But while people
may not normally

associate planes
with experiences of

paranormal activity,

there may be more
to worry about

than just the average
fear of flying.

Planes are constantly
bringing passengers aboard

who are excited, who are
worried, who are scared,

who have adventures
they're going on.

And this kind of energy
can leave an imprint.

Who knows what might
end up on a plane.

If you witness
something paranormal,

here are some tips to
get it all on camera.

Keep the camera steady,
never stop the recording.
