photos of which I am really proud of

same patterns, or similar things, or similar elements,

or photographic resources, as similar as the photos

that I am going to show you, because

as I have already told you, it is

true that there are photos that I am

not proud of right now, but there are

photos that when the other day I was

checking the gallery with my favorites and I

was checking the photos that were taken 8

or 10 years ago, there are photos that

it is bad that I say it or

it is bad that I say it, but

they are brilliant, right?

The first of all is this, and already

at that time, 10 years ago, we already

started going the day before, the day before

the wedding, especially if we did not know

the farm or the church, as in this

case, to have it under control.

Of course, to take this image I am

not going to deceive you, it is not

the result of chance, it is the result

of having been the day before, to understand

that there is a shot or there is

an interesting photograph from one of the balconies,

what I did not expect was to find

myself on that balcony, that grandmother waiting at

that moment and capture a photo like that.

To this day, it is still one of

my favorite photos and it will surely continue

to be, because it is no longer a

confetti or rice photo, as we understand, but

it is a rice photo, but captured with

a completely different perspective.

Likewise, this image has a completely different perspective,

that is, it is a game of light,

of lines, of composition, of atmosphere ...

Oh, what times those were, in which couples

left us almost an hour to relax in

the outdoor reports, right?

Now everything goes more, 15 minutes, 20 minutes,

everyone goes home and we are all so

calm.

Well, the thing is that we have gotten

used to that, right?

To do 15-20 minute sessions, but when

they have given us more time, things have

been different and we have had, as is

logical, more possibilities to get to ...

to get to capture interesting photos.

It is to have time, to have a

brutal connection with the couple and notice that

already, at that time, I was already starting

to play with my hands and I still

continue to show this image in my workshops

and explaining the DNA that there is in

this photo so mine, right?

In which it is not an obvious photo,

everyone understands that it is a wedding photo,

but at the same time we do not

understand those hands that give us a clue,

not only how the girl is in love

with the boy and how, only with a

few details, with the dress, the rings, we

understand that this is a wedding photo.

I think this image, sorry, was one of

those seeds or germ, yes, that is, the

seed, right?

For what was going to exploit the whole

game, that is, the whole game of hands,

right?

At that time I also had brilliant moments

and I started to capture transition photos.

I'm talking about this image, of course, to

this day it is one of my favorites.

I believe that throughout my professional career, if

I had to stay with five images, this

would be one of them.

I have no doubt, right?

It is one of those photos that will

go down in history forever, right?

For many reasons, because it is an off

moment, it is a transition photo, two, because

it is an incredible game of colors, it

is a moment that apparently seems to have

no meaning but it is full of it

and one gathers a set of elements as

strange as a bouquet, a cigarette in one

hand.

At that time, it was when I started

to photograph those not so obvious photos, right?

I remember that this photo was captured when

the boy was carrying the bouquet to a

corner and I was taking pictures of the

bride, right?

I was doing portraits and at that moment,

you see that the groom is leaving and

you no longer only photograph her, but you

focus on him, right?

And from there all that came out, it

is a game of colors or it is

a game of reds and the result is

incredible.

At that time I also had brilliant moments

like this one, in which it is also

an off moment, so to speak, but notice

how at that time I was already starting

to have fun fitting, framing the couple in

this case, in that frame of the window

and how at that time I was already

dedicating or starting to balance or giving information

both on the left and on the right

to capture moments again from a different perspective,

because the obvious thing would have been to

wait for the couple in the living room

of the hacienda, waiting for them to arrive

and all that, right?

And I got ahead of myself a bit,

right?

Remember that transition photos are always captured a

few moments before and a few moments after

the great moment, with which this image could

be said to have been captured a few

seconds before the great moment, right?

Let's go for another image, one of my

favorites too.

And at that time I was already starting,

as I said in previous chapters, to stick

the lens, to get very close to crystals,

to metals, to get reflections.

Cars are one of those fetishes of mine,

right?

The wedding car is like a box full

of surprises, right?

Because things are always going to happen, it

is an element in which I support myself

a lot when the bride enters her house

or the hotel and goes to the ceremony

or vice versa, when the groom comes in

and out, come on, it is a creative

resource as such in which I always support

myself.

And in this case I took this image,

but five years later I took this image,

it is the same, absolutely, there is no

difference, it is the same way of working,

right?

Sticking and gathering in the same photo two,

three or several stories, right?

In which, after all, the photo is as

complex as possible and captured from a completely

different perspective.

The next photo, I think it is, of

course, to say which is my favorite wedding

photo is very difficult, right?

But this may be one of them or

one of those five too, right?

One of those favorite photos that also first

were, or is the result of having gone

the day before to visit the church, the

day before the wedding I mean, right?

I went to visit her to find out

what I was going to find, it was

a church of ordinary people, right?

Two, it is the result of taking risks,

it is the result of placing myself in

a high position, okay?

Remembering the first photo I was talking about,

right?

We are always looking for a high position,

this is also the result of the circles

that I have talked about so many times,

a photographer is in the circle close to

the grooms and a photographer is in the

circle away from the grooms, in this case

I was in the circle away from the

And of course, it is the result of

luck, because I assure you that I did

not expect this moment, not at all, I

was not focused on what was going to

come in there, because in fact I was

already focused on the groom who had it

right there in front of me and I

for the bride to arrive and for the

groom to hug and at that moment the

couple was in love, I think not so

much now, but hey, at that moment they

were very in love and I was waiting

for them to hug and get excited and

such, and I was from a high point,

from the pulpit or from the choir in

which the monks used to sing in the

past, I was waiting for that moment, right?

And well, you just turn your face, you

see the door of the church, the light

projected and suddenly you see those shadows that

begin to advance, those shadows projected, quickly I

already leave the 85, I grab the camera

with the 35, and the result is this,

one of those photos so good, that is,

yes, it is like that and I like

it or I consider it good for the

mere fact of that high contrast that there

is not in the shot, not in the

edition, but in the fact that we, as

spectators, go straight towards the illuminated point, towards

the projected shadow, right?

And the spectators who inhabit the photo, who

were waiting for the bride and the father

to enter, look the other way, right?

There is a train crash and that makes

that photo seem interesting, right?

You see that there are fewer photos that

I like than the other way around, of

course, it is normal, I always believe that

there are more photos that we are not

proud of, of which we are proud, but

I think that is part of the life

of the photographer, I always say that photographers

are tormented beings, we are never happy with

what we have or with what we have

photographed, but the photos that I have shown

you or some of them are very powerful,
