We don't.

This weekend we finally got rid of it.

The next one we do have a wedding.

It will be the last one of the

year.

And although I will make a dedicated video

telling you a little bit about how the

season has gone, the truth is that we

are very happy with the 22 photographed weddings.

So we feel really, I don't know if

proud, but happy.

Because if in March they had told me

that I was going to photograph this number

of weddings, I honestly didn't believe it, because

I thought it was going to be much

less, because the pandemic was not quite perfect

either, and the doubts there were huge, not

just mine, but of all the couples.

And it is true that there have been

weddings that were photographed, that is, we knew

that we would have to photograph it almost

practically in the same week, because the same

couple had even doubts of getting to do

it or not.

But hey, in the end they are weddings

that have already happened, that we have photographed,

that we have made money, so perfect.

But hey, in this video I am not

going to tell you yet how the wedding

season has gone, because I want to wait

for it to end and then create a

video in conditions, but in this video I

would like to share with you a slide.

And the truth is that it is not

a slide that I have photographed, since I

photographed it Erica, and Erica with a colleague,

with Alberto Roldán, who is a great colleague,

he is a press photographer in Madrid, but

we sometimes count on him when the agenda

gets complicated.

If I show you this slide show, it

is for several reasons.

First of all, it is because it was

the first wedding that Erica has done alone,

that she has photographed alone, without me.

And I am really proud of the work

she has done, not just the work she

has done in this video or in this

wedding, that I will tell you a little

bit about how the wedding was or what

kind of wedding it was, but I am

proud of the evolution and how she has

been working throughout all these years, and despite

the insecurities that she has always had, and

that sometimes she still has, because in fact

she had never photographed a wedding alone, because

she thought she was not prepared.

I always thought she was wrong, that she

was completely prepared, but of course, sometimes living,

I mean, a wedding in my shadow, sometimes

it can be somewhat comfortable, because you don't

have to take risks when you are in

front of a couple, but sometimes it is

also a problem, because that makes her feel

not quite sure about what she could develop

in a wedding.

What do I mean by this?

When we work together, I have always been

the one who has taken the reins of

the wedding, the control of the wedding, the

control with the couple, the moment of taking

the photos, with the families and everything, it

does not mean that she has not worked,

obviously she has, but well, I think you

understand where I'm going, not directing a wedding

always makes it seem that you are not

quite, or you think you are not quite

prepared to photograph, for example, that wedding.

That's why, well, the pandemic, among other things,

brought us that, that there was a need

to duplicate in several weddings, and in one

of these, well, in one of them, there

was a need to duplicate, the couple agreed

that Erika was the leading photographer, the wedding

planner also agreed that Erika was the leading

photographer, talking a little bit about the wedding,

and starting with the wedding planner, let's say

that the wedding planner with whom she worked,

with whom Erika worked, is one of the

best in Spain and possibly one of the

best in all of Catalonia, I mean, look

at what level the wedding was at, the

wedding was held in the old bar of

Barcelona, it is a place that is known

as the Llotja, throughout the last ten years,

I think five or six weddings have been

held, at most, and no weddings have been

held because it is a place of the

town hall, that is, it is not a

place prepared for weddings, who holds weddings there?

Influential people, people with a lot of money

and people with many contacts, imagine what kind

of wedding it is, a wedding, in a

way, complex, it is not that kind of

local weddings in which the couple trusts us

100% and you tell a couple to

jump over a cliff and do it, no,

this kind of couples, no.

Although they trusted Erika, because she told me

how it was all, although the wedding planner

also trusted Erika, it is not easy to

work, because sometimes, depending on what kind of

couples you can tell them, no, you put

yourself there, and the couple says yes, but

with this kind of couples, you tell them

to put themselves there, and if they don't

like it, they don't do it.

Working with this kind of couples is very

grateful, because they will take care of all

the details to the maximum level, from dresses,

training, what do I say, training, aesthetics, the

education they have is spectacular, as you can

imagine, the place they are going to get

married, as you can imagine, with one of

the best wedding planners, makes the place even

more spectacular than it already was.

Working with this wedding planner makes everything rigid,

everything goes on time, everything goes in the

agreed time, but also the degree of demand

is immensely, well, incredible, so, photographers, in this

kind of weddings, are not only suppliers, because

you count on them, because they are an

important part of the wedding, but it is

a, to define it like this, it is

like a key to the final gear for

everything to work.

Therefore, as you can imagine, the degree of

demand is very, very big.

If someone wonders at what wedding I was

at that weekend, it is better that I

do not tell you because I was photographing

a wedding, well, let's leave it there, it

is better that I do not say anything

else.

Going back to Erika, and breaking a spear

in her favor, the truth is that I

have to say that this wedding, to my

liking, and that is why I show it

to you, it is the first she does

alone, I am very proud of the result

she has made, of how she worked, of

the sensations, of the good experience she created

to the clients, because you can recognize that

during the week, both the wedding planner, who

called her, like the mother of the bride,

the mother of the bride called her to

tell her, hey, you were brilliant, your work,

in addition to the few photos that you

have sent us, and how you worked with

us on Saturday, we took off the hat,

with which I am really proud of her

for all this, for what she has done,

how the wedding worked, and how she has

been working with me, because working with me

is not easy, but it does not mean

that I am an ogre, a bad boss,

because in fact, we try to share, or

I try to share with her, part of

the great moments of a wedding, and if

there is any brown, I try to eat

it, I mean, family photos, this set of

images, or photographs that I also, that is,

I do not give it to her, I

mean, I do not have Erika as an

assistant, but as part of the team, we

are 50-50, and if someone, well, those

of you who know about Patreon, or those

of you who are part of Patreon, you

know perfectly well that it is true, but

working with me is not easy, because sometimes

when couples say that they have Victor Lax,

that is, as a photographer, they only say

that they have Victor Lax, and they do

not say that they have Erika Viernes, that,

if it were the other way around, for

me it would be totally devastating, because with

her, sometimes they do not count, I mean,

and not only do they not count in

the emails, I mean, when Erika does not

realize, they always say hello Victor, they never

say hello Victor and Erika, I mean, the

couples who say hello Victor and Erika are

a small part, and that is frustrating, but

even on the day of the wedding, very

few couples, when they address us, they do

it in a way that they address both

me and her, they address only me, and

that boils my blood, and that frustrates her

a lot, as it is obvious, imagine that

it was the other way around, I mean,

I would have sent this profession to shit

days ago, I mean, it's not that I

have a very high ego, but in these

moments, imagine, that they would address another person

and not even look at me, but that

does not happen only with couples, I mean,

with normal couples, I mean, even with wedding

photographers that we have photographed, they have addressed

only me, and they have not even addressed

her, with which Erika has had to fight

with those problems, always, now everything begins to

change little by little, and I hope, as

a result of this wedding, and of another

that I photograph, and of what is yet

to come in the future, I hope that

we are, or begin to be at the

same height, simply, well, I wanted to share

with you this slide, that I photographed Erika

with Alberto Roldán, simply to tell you that

Alberto is a photojournalist from Madrid, which we

have known for many years, and at some

wedding, more or less once a year, he

usually accompanies us, and at this wedding I

asked him to accompany Erika, and the other

wedding I did with another colleague, whose name
