=Love In The Desert=

=Episode 22=

Why are you back with a boy?

Chief,

this boy is weird.

He doesn't know why he's in the desert

or who his parents are.

Give him something to eat and throw him out.

Desert Rankers raise no kids.

I get it.

Don't raise me.

Give me something to eat.

I can work.

What can you do?

Whatever you can do,

I can do it.

Is His Lordship back?

Your Grace, he was back last night.

Why didn't he come to me?

Wait a minute.

Come over.

What are you holding?

Did I miss something great?

Your Grace...

What? Why do you mumble?

It's the wedding dress.

His Lordship is getting married.

Wedding dress?

Getting married?

It's for me?

Let's go. Come on.

So, after what he suffered,

he's come around.

Ruo Wen.

Why did you not tell me

we'd get married?

It's so hasty.

What if

I don't like the dress you picked?

Does that

really matter?

Why does it not?

I'll get married

for only once in my life.

Everything has to be perfect.

Madwoman,

what are you thinking?

I'm thinking

you've finally figured out

who cares most for you in the world.

I'm going to marry Huang Beishuang.

None of your business.

You'll marry her?

Huo Qingyun won't let you!

This is Fentian.

He can't stop me!

Let me say it again.

I'm going to marry Huang Beishuang.

Do you understand?

Ruo Wen,

you're serious?

It's all right.

You'll still be the First Lady.

She's a mere concubine.

And I've always wanted

Huang Beishuang.

You know that very well, don't you?

When you were in a coma,

I kept you company without resting.

How could you do this to me?

Did I make you do that?

Satisfied?

Then get out of here!

Ruo Wen,

I thought after all this,

I could touch you, however merciless you were.

You can't do that.

However long it takes.

In this world,

only Huang Beishuang can get into my heart.

Do you understand?

This time,

I understand everything.

People live different lives.

You shouldn't only care for me.

Go live your own life!

Beishuang.

Come in.

Are you done packing?

No. Wait a minute.

In Tiandu,

is there delicious food

or fun places?

There are snow mountains

and frozen lakes.

Beautiful and cold.

So, everywhere,

there are inns with hot sand pits.

The sand on the body

can soon disperse the chill.

Also,

sheep and cows in Tiandu

eat Cordyceps

and drink meltwater from snow mountains.

Sheep and cows growing up on salty soils

taste great without the smell of fish.

What else?

I won't tell you

until you get there.

Why do you keep me guessing?

What is this?

A pill made from Eternal Winter Grass.

It'll keep you asleep for seven days.

Even if you've been drinking the Spirit,

you can't wake up.

Why?

If I come back alive,

you take me to Tiandu

to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

By then,

I won't push you away anymore.

If I die,

forget me.

Armor.

I know.

I'll protect myself

and come back to you.

I told you my story.

Do you want to be the bait?

To Na Zhan,

I don't mean a lot.

A pompous man like him

greatly values the majesty of Yunpei

and his dignity.

If we want him to come to Fentian,

we have to utterly disgrace him.

The Lord of Fentian

forcibly marries the First Lady of Yunpei.

What do you say?

Na Zhan has great martial arts.

On the wedding day,

as long as we kill his top guy Wu Jihai,

we will kill him, too.

I have one condition.

Speak.

Don't get Huo Qingyun involved.

To lure Na Zhan here,

we don't know if we can live.

If we succeed,

that'll be fine.

If we lose,

the desert will get into war.

If we keep him alive,

maybe

he can fight Na Zhan.

All right.

I approve.

I'll kick him away now.

That won't work.

In Fentian,

he trusts no one but me.

At the wedding, just cooperate with me.

I'll keep you safe.

All right.

I trust you.

(Fentian)

Chief.

Princess Xinwei

won't come back.

It's better that way.

Just in case,

send a squad

to secretly keep her safe.

My Lord,

Ruo Wen of Fentian sent an invitation.

(Welcome to the wedding.)

(Groom: Ruo Wen, Bride: Huang Beishuang)

(Ruo Wen, Huang Beishuang)

Wedding?

Such an arrogant bandit.

I didn't fight him

and that was a complete honor.

Unexpectedly, he pushed his luck

and didn't know what he could really do.

My Lord,

will we send troops

against Fentian?

Are you trying to let everybody know

a bandit will marry my wife?

How disgraced I'll be!

Calm down, My Lord.

It's inconsiderate of me.

Solve this problem immediately.

Do not delay.

Yes.

My Lord,

Ruo Wen is obviously

provoking our majesty.

The three cities reign over the desert

and it's settled.

I wonder if he colludes with Tiandu

to make trouble.

What you said

makes sense.

In my opinion,

to put this to rest

and asset our majesty,

you have to go.

I'll lead ten thousand elite soldiers

to go with you.

During this trip,

whether we take back Huang Beishuang,

Ruo Wen

has to be killed.

If anything unexpected happens...

I get it, My Lord.

Chief,

scouts reported

Na Zhan and his men reached our border.

They'll arrive tomorrow.

However,

he has taken a thousand soldiers.

We have to be alert.

It doesn't matter.

We just need to capture Na Zhan.

(Huang Beishuang,)

(what on earth will you do?)

My Lord,

I've sent death warriors into town.

They wait for the signal in different places

to set off the gunpowder to make collapses.

Got it.

I've arranged all our elite soldiers

around Fentian

just in case.

When we're in town, follow my lead!

Yes, My Lord.

(Tea)

Chief gave the money

for your traveling.

Keep it

and don't come back.

Want to send me away

with this little money?

Go back and tell him.

He can never repay

what he owes me.

And tell him.

Ask him to be my slave

and serve me very well

in his afterlife.

It's hard to find a crippled toad.

But men are everywhere.

Even a random man

can be a hundred times better than him.

Even if he comes back to me,

I won't look at him again.

I don't care if you want it.

Anyway, I've brought you out.

Remember.

Never return to Fentian.

Chief doesn't like you at all.

He doesn't want to see you.

He gave out an order.

If you return to Fentian,

you'll be executed.

Executed?

(Desert Rankers) Executed!

The token of Desert Rankers?

(Desert Rankers) Why did he give me this?

Sir,

some wine, please.

We offer tea, no wine.

Some tea, please.

The tea that can get me drunk.

Miss,

after you finish the tea, go home.

Don't wander around here.

You must not go to Fentian.

I'll go wherever I want.

None of your business.

Fentian?

I don't want to go there!

Glad you won't go.

I have to close, too.

Or if there's a fight,

I can't run away.

What fight?

Now, people in Fentian

can't help panicking.

I heard the Lord of Fentian

wanted to forcibly marry the Lady of Yunpei.

In a fit of anger, the Lord of Yunpei

came to Fentian with his troops.

Maybe they'll fight soon.

Na Zhan is here?

Good. Because you're obsessed,

you're in trouble, huh?

(Desert Rankers)

(People live different lives.)

(You shouldn't only care for me.)

(Go live your own life!)

Oh, no.

(Blockhouse)

Sha Qu.

Your Grace?

What are you doing here?

Long story. Never mind.

Did you see my chief?

He's out of contact for days.

Ruo Wen is behind it.

Maybe he's grounded by Ruo Wen.

Hurry. Take me back to Fentian.

Ruo Wen is in danger.

All right.

(Fentian)

(Clothing Shop)

Why don't we get in yet?

Be patient.

Inside Fentian,

I've arranged Boa Agents.

Not until they get some intel.

What?

When Fentian is just built,

you've planted spies?

Are those

your native people?

So many people are here.

How can I recognize every one of them?

But anyway,

they're dressed like natives.

No.

Look how they walk.

They're trained soldiers.

I'll go check.

Mr. Sha.

Mr. Sha.

What?

Have you found Chief?

Yes. We're ready to move.

All right. Let's move now.

One more thing.

News came from the south

that a suspicious man

was carrying gunpowder.

After we found him,

he failed to set it off

and then killed himself.

Gunpowder?

Oh, no. Do they work for Na Zhan?

Those guys.

There must be a lot of them.

Looks like

Fentian

will be chaotic.

Tell our men

to stay alert

and search the city.

If they see more death warriors,

deal with them.

Yes.

Chief.

Chief.

Guards out there were chloroformed.

Are you all right?

I'm fine.

Poisoned by the Eternal Winter Grass,

my senses were lost.

I forcibly released myself.

Where's Huang Beishuang?

The Council Room is grandly decorated.

- Looks... - Stop it.

Will you really let them get married?

Let's go.

There's another emergency.

I suspect Na Zhan arranged death warriors

everywhere in Feitian with gunpowder

to ruin this city.

Fentian has a special terrain.

Once many places are blown up,

there will be collapses.

I've sent men to search.

Just in case,

have our men evacuate the civilians.

All right.

- Let's go. - Go.

Leave unless you want to die!

- Na Zhan is here. - Run.

It is the right time.

Don't blame me, Chief Ruo Wen.

I'm late.

Say it again.

He's now the Lord of Fentian.

I've heard a lot

about Ruo Wen of Desert Rankers.

When you were in Yunpei,
