=Episode 21=

You haven't left yet?

You're grieved.

And I'm worried.

What happened

- is my... - It's my fault.

I wasn't aware.

We used to have a deep misunderstanding.

Now, we know the truth.

Don't blame yourself.

Will you forgive me?

It's a misunderstanding.

I shouldn't have hated you.

Why would I forgive you?

These days,

I was eager to see you.

I didn't dare, either.

What if you don't trust me?

What if

you won't forgive me?

Leave with me,

will you?

Huo Qingyun,

we can never be together.

We shouldn't move forward.

Hope you won't reply so quickly.

This is my deliberate decision.

Even if you don't go with me,

you can't stay here.

Who came to me again?

I'm here for the Architecture Volume.

It's not here.

Search anywhere else you want.

You really don't know where it is?

I don't care about this book.

All you care for is this portrait.

I'll tear it up.

Don't spin me.

I can't breathe.

Then I'll suffocate you.

You're off your game.

What are you talking about?

I saw Huo Qingyun and Huang Beishuang

get into the room.

That's good.

Wise man.

In this world, no one else

cares for you like this.

Where are you going?

To take a bath.

Wait here for me.

All right.

Make it quick.

I will.

He finally knows what to do.

(Tablet of Lord Ge'er Re)

(Mother,)

(I'm so silly)

(that I'm stuck in love.)

(Please give me some advice.)

(Will he and I end up well?)

(If it's the head,)

(after I take revenge,)

(I'll go to the Central Plains and never return.)

(If it's the tail...)

It's late.

What are you doing here?

Where's Huo Qingyun?

He isn't here.

Tell me.

You never get along with him.

Why did you let him into Fentian?

He offered something, of course.

I can get any intel from Boa Agents.

Also, he wanted to see you

and take you away.

Looks like

he failed to do that.

It's too late.

I'm going to bed.

You should go.

I helped you take revenge.

But you want to kill me?

Come on.

Or I'd kill myself.

Huang Beishuang,

your eyes

get me stuck in confusion.

I dare you to touch her.

I'd like to see

the martial arts of the head of Boa Agents.

Come on.

If you win, I won't touch her.

Ruo Wen!

Are you all right?

Aren't you supposed to be bathing?

What are you doing here?

An, you have to live.

What's wrong?

Come on. Get up.

Get up.

Let me check on you.

You're not bleeding.

We should go.

Ruo Wen.

Ruo Wen, don't scare me.

What is wrong?

Who on earth are you?

Why are you lingering in my head?

Ruo Wen.

Who are you?

Tell me.

Or I'll kill you!

Are you insane? I'm Ge Xinwei.

Madwoman?

You nearly strangled me.

Ruo Wen.

Ruo Wen.

Ruo Wen.

Ruo Wen, what's wrong?

Did you really hurt your head?

Lie down here.

I'll go get a physician.

- Son! - Mother.

Stop!

- Mother! - My Lady.

An,

you have to live.

Mother.

Leave!

Mother.

Are you or are you not Rong An?

Chief, nothing in Yunpei has been unusual.

Na Zhan

knew Miss Beishuang was kidnapped

but didn't do anything.

I get it.

But don't drop your guard.

Watch Na Zhan closely.

Yes.

What will you do next?

When Ruo Wen stays steady,

I'll discuss with him

how to fight against Na Zhan.

What about Miss Beishuang?

I won't force her.

If she wants to stay,

I'll let her stay.

Can you stop worrying?

She's wise enough.

She can deal with Na Zhan.

So, she can handle Ruo Wen.

Now, we focus on our great cause.

As for anything else,

we won't force it.

Anything else?

On my way here,

I saw Miss Beishuang

go to the Council Room.

Better let you go.

(Cheng'en Pavilion)

(Too bad for these books.)

(My father loved them when he was alive.)

(Is the Architecture Volume here?)

Even two strangers meet

in the middle of the night,

they should talk, huh?

I don't like to talk.

I started a conversation.

For the sake of courtesy,

shouldn't you reply?

I replied, didn't I?

Then why do you not look at me?

Why are you still here?

Looking for the Architecture Volume?

Ruo Wen told you that?

I guessed.

If I guess correctly,

you made a deal with Ruo Wen.

General Hua Yu of Feitian

turned himself to Desert Rankers so smoothly.

You must have helped.

You always want something in return.

So, you must have asked him for something.

Masui has the Herb Volume

and the Architecture Volume.

I thought about it.

Except this book,

nothing else is worth your risk.

I'm here for it, indeed.

We can negotiate, then.

I'll find the book for you.

You copy one for me.

Deal.

Since we're partners,

could you please be nice?

Since we're partners,

could you please behave yourself?

It's not here.

Go back.

You know where it is?

Go back for some sleep.

I'll tell you tomorrow.

My Lady, General Fox,

His Lordship is all right.

But just now, he was mad.

Did you check carefully?

Maybe he's drunk.

My Lady, don't worry.

He'll be fine after some sleep.

Out you go.

Ruo Wen.

Ruo Wen.

The physician said you were all right.

Don't try to scare me.

Maybe he's drunk.

Get some more sleep, then.

Stud,

I'll go get you some hangover soup.

Only when you're drunk

can you be so obedient.

I didn't eat, either.

Shall we eat together?

This is your meal.

If you want some,

don't bother to ask me.

The meal is for you.

So, it's yours.

I should ask you for permission.

I disapprove.

I have no appetite.

Eat it yourself.

If you want to know where the book is,

have regular meals.

You don't know where it is,

right?

Why do you ask?

You find excuses

and always hold it up.

Eat this

and I'll tell you.

You can tell me now, huh?

Indeed, I don't know where it is.

But you've lost weight.

I want you to eat and sleep well.

Get out of here.

Let me go.

This is right.

This is like you.

You fight when you're angry

and curse when you hate.

You're a rascal like always.

All right. Get to business.

Think carefully.

When you were little,

your father gave you the Herb Volume.

Did he set the other book

ready for you

and waited until you grew up?

Chief.

Shh.

What's up?

Is he not waking up yet?

I have something to tell him.

Why can't you make a decision?

Small tribes have sent congratulation gifts.

The Lord should see them, huh?

I'll go, then.

Come on.

My Lady. My Lady.

- Go to Masui for the Ninth Lady. - An, Father is back.

She's from your tribe.

- She'll help. - What happened?

Leave with An from behind.

Na Zhan's soldiers will catch up.

What's the rush for?

I have no time to explain it.

I'm sorry to both of you.

Just leave. Go to Masui. Hurry.

If we leave, what about you?

Don't worry about me. Just go.

Hurry.

Let's go.

It's really here.

(The Architecture Volume of the Desert Scroll)

I never met my mother.

When she gave birth to me,

she died of difficult labor.

I only saw her in a portrait.

When I was eight,

Na Zhan killed my father.

Your father...

Isn't he the late lord of Tiandu?

He's my uncle.

The Lord's Mansion in Tiandu

is the bloody place

you told me about

where even kids are killed?

Yes.

Its name is Bingci Mansion.

Just like its name,

it's icy.

Why did Na Zhan kill your father?

He's born vicious.

To get more power,

he can do anything.

Sha Qu and most members of Boa Agents

are victims in his fight for power.

The late lord of Yunpei

and his trusted followers

were all murdered.

We nearly died in the desert.

Everyone has a blood feud

with Na Zhan.

You can't deceive me.

You pretend to be heartless

only because you want to risk your life

for what you want to do.

Huang Beishuang,

you nearly fooled me.

Don't be silly.

I've been bearing for 15 years.

I tried so hard to build Boa Agents

just to overturn Na Zhan someday.

I will

avenge everyone.

Why are you still asleep?

Slacking off, huh?

Just now, I met all the envoys for you.

If it weren't for you,

I wouldn't stay to suffer this.

Think about it.

We were supposed to travel around the Central Plains.

But what did you do?

You took a city

and now we're trapped here.

But anyway,

don't be shy.

Later,

just give me a good wedding.

Do you hear?

Wake up.

Ruo Wen.

Ruo Wen, what is wrong?

What's going on with him?

Ruo Wen.

- Son. - Son.

Son, come on.

Are you all right?

- Are you? - I'm fine, Mother.

You can't run anywhere!

An!

An.

- Let's go. - Go.

Stop!

Run.

Stop!

Honey.

- Honey. - Mother.

How do you feel?

- Bad. - Can you still walk?

I sprained my ankle.

You did? But...

Stop!

Take An away.

Go!

But honey...

Take him away.

Hurry!

- Mother. - Run.

Leave me alone.

- You guys run. - Go.

Mother!

- I'm not leaving! - Run!

Let's go. Come on.

An, you have to live.

I'm not leaving!

Run!

- Mother! - Let go!

Run, An!

An, run away!

- Mother, let's run together! - Run!

Let go, An.

- Run! - Run!

Let's go!

- Father, let me go! - Leave.

Mother!

Mother!

Father, save Mother!

Mother!

After them!

Run.

Don't let them run away!

Kill one of them

and you'll get ten taels of gold!

After them!

Good boy.

Whatever happens,

just run. Run quickly.

Do you hear?

Take him down.

Go after the boy.

Quicksand!

If anything bad happens to His Lordship,

I'll cut you and feed you to dogs.

How's Ruo Wen?

Evil man from Tiandu.

I haven't settled with you yet.

Last night, you hurt Chief.

He isn't awake yet.

It's not time for argument.

You should get a physician.

Wolf.

Let's go.

Let's go, too.

What is wrong with him? Say something.

I'm not skilled enough.

I can't tell what's wrong with His Lordship.

What about his head?

He fell previously.

There is no trauma.

Then, why isn't he awake?

I'm too silly to know.

Such useless physicians.

Kill them all.

Losers.

- I'm going to kill you. - Stop.

It's just your fault!

If I remember correctly,

they are the best physicians

in this city.

You leave us.

Get up. Come on.

Go. Get out.

- Yes. - Hurry.

Why are you still here?

When he wakes up,

we'll leave.

When he's awake,

can you really leave?

You want the Architecture Volume, huh?

I'll help you later, all right?

If you stay alone,

I'll be worried.

It's all because of you.

Maybe a great physician can help him.

But he's in Yunpei.

It's a long way away.

I'll take care of it.

It's my fault.

Ruo Wen,

I won't quarrel with you anymore.

Because the physician said

you might never wake up again.

I quarrel with you

because I love you.

I enjoy being with you

and I can't share you with any other women.

You said you could hardly die.

Then get up.

Your men are waiting for you.

It took us so much trouble to take Masui.

Will you just leave it alone?

You don't want your men.

Do you not want me, too?

I shouldn't cry.

Such a jinx.

The book is found.

What will you do next?

Look for the next volume.

You know that's not what I mean.

Ruo Wen isn't awake yet.

We won't talk until he wakes up.

You care so much for him?

Yes, of course.

We're also close partners.

Also?

Are we merely partners, too?

Yes.

The Architecture Volume is found.

We're no longer partners.

May I beg you for another deal?

Don't beg me.

We can make a deal at any time.

Go with me.

I'll give you the last volume.

The Water Volume is in Tiandu.

Without my help,

you can't get it.

It's in Tiandu?

Go back to Tiandu with me.

Rest assured.

I'll have everything arranged.

As for Na Zhan,

like I said,

I'll take care of him.

I have to think carefully about it.

After all, I don't have a very good impression

of you.

You have to

reply to me

before Ruo Wen wakes up.

No.

It's nonnegotiable.

You haven't slept for three days.

If it continues,

before Ruo Wen wakes up,

you'll break down.

Have something to eat.

No.

Ruo Wen hasn't eaten anything for days.

I won't eat, either.

If he dies,

in the worst case,

I'll die with him.

(Heyan Mansion) Physician, this way, please.

All right.

Looks like

he's looking for something important.

His body is all right.

But his soul isn't here.

Isn't here?

Where is it, then?

In his dream.

Or I should say,

in his past.

- Keep searching. - Yes.

When he wants to wake up,

he will wake up.

But if it continues,

his body can't hold.

Physician, he's been in a coma for three days.

If he can't wake up,

his life will be in danger.

You're right.

If his soul goes too far away,

it can't come back.

You saved us once.

Please save him this time.

Whatever you want,

I'll give it to you.

Let's do this, then.

All I want is a full meal.

I'll eat here.

Prepare his favorite dishes.

Fox,

prepare a big meal.

This young man kept me traveling for two days

and gave me nothing to eat.

Sorry.

Hey, girl.

You come and eat, too.

You don't want him to wake up?

If I eat,

will he wake up?

Yes. Come and eat.

Hurry.

- Look. - Ruo Wen moved.

Which part?

Physician.

Physician.

He moved.

- You know what to do. - Ruo Wen.

- Ruo Wen. - Chief.

Chief.

I'll get all his favorite food.

Chief.

Come on. Try this.

Look.

- He's awake. - He is.

Ruo Wen,

you're awake.

This is great.

Chief.

What is wrong with you?

Why are you around me?

You were in a coma for four days.

What took you so long to wake up?

I was so scared.

Chief.

Eat more.

Chief.

Oh, I'm full.

Send me back.

Eat slowly.

Slow down.

- Finally. - Don't choke on it.

Thank you.

- Sha Qu. - I was so worried.

Take him to an inn for tonight.

Send him back tomorrow.

All right.

Young man,

you owe him this.

Let's go.

- Eat more. - Let's go.

- Anything? - Come on.

Say something.

You were asleep these days.

I didn't eat or sleep.

Where are you going?

Don't follow me.

Does it hurt?

Where does it hurt? Get up.

Don't follow me.

- Get up. - Leave me alone.

Where are you going? Don't go.

Ruo Wen!

You ungrateful man.
