Welcome back.

So in those first two weeks, we laid

down the foundation for everything that's to come.

That was the why.

And so now we're going to switch gears

and start picking apart the how.

And all that stuff we introduced last week

was centered around that energy triangle.

And so what we're actually going to start

this week with is diving in to that

technical side of the triangle in much, much

more detail.

And we're kind of going from what we

feel is the most important stuff last week,

you know, the foundation, our approach, our philosophy,

what we feel is probably the least important

stuff, the gear we use.

But that's not to say it isn't important,

it's just not as important.

So we're going to dive into our gear

bag and we're going to show you exactly

what we bring to every wedding and why

we bring it.

Then we're going to talk camera settings and

show you exactly how we set up our

cameras.

Yeah, and so that's the first part of

this week.

Cameras, lenses, flashes, and the mechanics of all

of that.

In the second part, we're going to zoom

into something else that we only just barely

touched on in the energy triangle.

Light.

And not manufactured light, yet.

That's coming next week.

This week is all about natural light, which

is actually almost always our preference, honestly.

And most of our work, to be honest.

Yeah, it's a bit of a misconception that,

you know, we're all about off-camera light

all the time.

We make light when we need to and

when it's a situation that's calling out for

it.

I would say at least 80% of

what we do is lit by the sun

or the natural ambient light.

And so we're starting with natural light because

you can't become a good lighting photographer until

you become a good natural light photographer.

So we're going to start with seeing it,

move into shooting it, and then we're going

to finish by taking you behind the scenes

with us on a shoot where we're using

nothing but natural light.
