00:00:10,010 --> 00:00:12,145
[♪ theme music playing]
2
00:00:21,021 --> 00:00:24,958
[narrator] The winner of I Am Boxer will
receive a grand prize of 300 million
3
00:00:25,025 --> 00:00:28,161
-and a top-of-the-line flagship SUV.
-[♪ upbeat music playing]
4
00:00:31,031 --> 00:00:33,033
[♪ tense music playing]
5
00:00:34,701 --> 00:00:38,872
Hello, I'm Kuk Seungjun
from the Hwasun County boxing team.
6
00:00:38,938 --> 00:00:41,408
My name is Lee Chaehyun,
and I'm with the KAFAC.
7
00:00:41,975 --> 00:00:43,176
Salute!
8
00:00:43,243 --> 00:00:45,245
There are a few fighters here I'm wary of.
9
00:00:45,311 --> 00:00:46,312
Lee Chaehyun, for one.
10
00:00:46,379 --> 00:00:48,048
[spectators clamoring]
11
00:00:48,114 --> 00:00:49,315
[contestant 1] Nice slip and rip!
12
00:00:49,382 --> 00:00:50,517
Great, he's fast.
13
00:00:50,583 --> 00:00:51,985
THE OUTBOXER
WHO CAUGHT DON LEE'S EYE
14
00:00:52,052 --> 00:00:53,553
WIN AGAINST AN AMERICAN BOXER
15
00:00:53,620 --> 00:00:55,622
-He ate that counter head-on!
-[clamoring continues]
16
00:00:56,289 --> 00:00:57,357
Down, down, down!
17
00:00:57,924 --> 00:00:59,392
WIN AGAINST AN MMA FIGHTER
18
00:00:59,459 --> 00:01:01,361
[Seungjun] He was just so good.
19
00:01:01,428 --> 00:01:03,830
I'll show you
what textbook boxing looks like.
20
00:01:03,897 --> 00:01:04,931
[contestant] He's super fast.
21
00:01:04,998 --> 00:01:06,366
FIGHT 3
WIN AGAINST A SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT
22
00:01:06,433 --> 00:01:08,334
-[clamoring continues]
-He was on another level.
23
00:01:08,401 --> 00:01:11,037
He's experienced and composed.
24
00:01:11,604 --> 00:01:15,175
A WELL-ROUNDED BOXER RECOGNIZED
BY WORLD CHAMPION BIVOL
25
00:01:15,241 --> 00:01:17,210
I want that I Am Boxer champion belt.
26
00:01:18,078 --> 00:01:19,179
QUARTERFINALS TO SEMIFINALS
27
00:01:19,245 --> 00:01:20,380
This is my turn to shine.
28
00:01:20,447 --> 00:01:21,748
-This is my stage.
-[chanting]
29
00:01:21,815 --> 00:01:23,249
[Chaehyun] I was getting fired up.
30
00:01:23,917 --> 00:01:25,585
QUARTERFINALS
WIN AGAINST A GHANAIAN BOXER
31
00:01:25,652 --> 00:01:28,822
[Seungheon] Lee Chaehyun has
a really solid, well-rounded skill set.
32
00:01:28,888 --> 00:01:30,824
[Gyuwon] He's a naturally gifted boxer.
33
00:01:30,890 --> 00:01:34,661
Honestly, I don't think
I paid much attention to Kuk Seungjun.
34
00:01:35,261 --> 00:01:37,130
[contestant 1] I bet he got cast
for his looks.
35
00:01:37,697 --> 00:01:38,898
[contestant 2] This is insane!
36
00:01:38,965 --> 00:01:39,966
His eyes changed.
37
00:01:40,033 --> 00:01:42,135
Once he steps into the ring,
he's a different person.
38
00:01:43,002 --> 00:01:44,304
This is straight out of a movie.
39
00:01:44,370 --> 00:01:45,371
He can fight, sure.
40
00:01:45,438 --> 00:01:46,739
But I wasn't that worried.
41
00:01:47,240 --> 00:01:50,443
[Dex] He's not pressing
like he did last round.
42
00:01:50,510 --> 00:01:52,879
[Seungjun] I kept thinking,
"What if I lose?"
43
00:01:52,946 --> 00:01:54,848
I wasn't very confident to begin with.
44
00:01:54,914 --> 00:01:56,116
[♪ melancholy music playing]
45
00:01:56,182 --> 00:01:57,917
[Seungjun] I'm not happy
with my performance.
46
00:01:57,984 --> 00:01:59,819
I fought so badly.
47
00:01:59,886 --> 00:02:01,821
Round 3 didn't sit right with me either.
48
00:02:01,888 --> 00:02:03,590
I'd lost confidence in myself.
49
00:02:03,656 --> 00:02:05,758
I think that shook me mentally.
50
00:02:05,825 --> 00:02:07,760
[Lee] The survivor of this match is
51
00:02:07,827 --> 00:02:09,596
Lee Gijun from the blue corner.
52
00:02:10,363 --> 00:02:12,365
Then I thought, "I need to step it up."
53
00:02:13,967 --> 00:02:15,268
"If I want to get stronger,"
54
00:02:15,335 --> 00:02:18,271
"I have to believe in myself
and fight with confidence."
55
00:02:18,338 --> 00:02:20,106
[Seungheon] It's Kuk Seungjun!
56
00:02:20,173 --> 00:02:23,443
He drew attention early on
because of his looks,
57
00:02:23,510 --> 00:02:25,745
but he's now considered
the most improved fighter.
58
00:02:26,279 --> 00:02:28,214
[exclaims] I'm going to go all out.
59
00:02:28,982 --> 00:02:29,983
And nice body shot!
60
00:02:30,049 --> 00:02:31,684
-Kuk is going for it!
-[spectators clamoring]
61
00:02:31,751 --> 00:02:33,419
[Gyuwon] This is
a chance for Kuk Seungjun!
62
00:02:33,486 --> 00:02:34,888
The winner is…
63
00:02:34,954 --> 00:02:36,589
Kuk Seungjun.
64
00:02:37,090 --> 00:02:38,458
-…Kuk Seungjun.
-[spectators cheering]
65
00:02:38,525 --> 00:02:41,461
-[applause]
-[exclaims]
66
00:02:42,929 --> 00:02:46,032
THE EVER-EVOLVING INFIGHTER,
BODY KILLER KUK SEUNGJUN
67
00:02:46,099 --> 00:02:47,367
Certainly!
68
00:02:49,135 --> 00:02:51,004
[Seungheon] It's the finals of I Am Boxer!
69
00:02:51,070 --> 00:02:54,174
[Lee] A new champion will be crowned
here today!
70
00:02:54,240 --> 00:02:56,876
[Chaehyun] I'd say I'm
a step ahead technically.
71
00:02:56,943 --> 00:02:58,478
There's not much between us anyway.
72
00:02:58,545 --> 00:03:00,013
I believe I can edge out a win.
73
00:03:00,079 --> 00:03:01,581
-[♪ upbeat music playing]
-Box!
74
00:03:01,648 --> 00:03:02,849
[bell dings]
75
00:03:02,916 --> 00:03:04,617
-[Seungheon] Nice body shot!
-[Dex] That landed!
76
00:03:05,318 --> 00:03:07,153
[Gyuwon] That's a dangerous punch
from Kuk Seungjun!
77
00:03:07,220 --> 00:03:08,721
[spectator 1] Let's go, Chaehyun!
78
00:03:08,788 --> 00:03:11,357
-That's veteran savvy from Lee Chaehyun!
-[spectators clamoring]
79
00:03:11,424 --> 00:03:14,260
-[spectator 2] That's it!
-This really feels like the finals.
80
00:03:14,327 --> 00:03:15,795
-[Dex] Come on, let's go!
-[Lee] Keep throwing!
81
00:03:15,862 --> 00:03:17,230
OUTBOXING ALL-ROUNDER
VS EVOLVING INFIGHTER
82
00:03:17,297 --> 00:03:18,898
The blockbuster boxing survival show.
83
00:03:18,965 --> 00:03:20,533
I Am Boxer.
84
00:03:20,600 --> 00:03:24,370
-[Jongkook] The champion is…
-[bell dings]
85
00:03:25,271 --> 00:03:27,607
[♪ playful music playing]
86
00:03:31,678 --> 00:03:33,279
Ever been to Apgujeong?
87
00:03:33,346 --> 00:03:35,582
No, actually, this is my first time.
88
00:03:35,648 --> 00:03:37,050
-Really?
-Yes.
89
00:03:37,116 --> 00:03:39,018
-You country bumpkin. [chuckles]
-[chuckles]
90
00:03:39,085 --> 00:03:40,853
Hey, hold on… [chuckling]
91
00:03:40,920 --> 00:03:43,189
We're just hanging out.
What's with the military uniform?
92
00:03:44,624 --> 00:03:45,892
[chuckles]
93
00:03:46,759 --> 00:03:47,827
[sighs]
94
00:03:47,894 --> 00:03:49,362
-Here they come.
-[chuckles]
95
00:03:49,429 --> 00:03:51,664
-[contestant 1 clamors]
-[contestant 2 clamors, chuckles]
96
00:03:52,232 --> 00:03:54,300
PARK YOUNGHO,
KIM HYUNJUN, CHO HYUNJAE
97
00:03:54,367 --> 00:03:55,969
Why fight? Just do rock-paper-scissors.
98
00:03:56,035 --> 00:03:57,036
HONG SUNGMIN, YUK JUNSEO
99
00:03:57,103 --> 00:03:59,372
Let me explain why we're here today.
100
00:03:59,439 --> 00:04:02,141
With the finals coming up,
I know you've been grinding nonstop.
101
00:04:02,208 --> 00:04:03,810
So today, in Apgujeong,
102
00:04:03,876 --> 00:04:06,746
-let's have some fun, relax,
-[Sungmin] Yep.
103
00:04:06,813 --> 00:04:08,581
-[Youngho] and recharge.
-[contestant] Let's go.
104
00:04:09,782 --> 00:04:12,118
Seungjun totally looks
like he belongs here.
105
00:04:12,185 --> 00:04:13,953
-Right?
-And you've never been here before?
106
00:04:14,020 --> 00:04:15,455
[Sungmin] He looks like a local.
107
00:04:16,322 --> 00:04:19,192
First stop, the arcade.
108
00:04:19,259 --> 00:04:21,027
-All right!
-Sounds good.
109
00:04:21,094 --> 00:04:23,997
So, can we expect
a punching machine showdown today?
110
00:04:24,063 --> 00:04:25,531
-[exclaims]
-[Hyunjae grunts]
111
00:04:25,598 --> 00:04:27,700
-[♪ upbeat music playing]
-Let's do it. Just us this time.
112
00:04:29,469 --> 00:04:30,770
-This is it.
-Wow.
113
00:04:30,837 --> 00:04:32,105
[exclaims]
114
00:04:32,171 --> 00:04:34,907
[Junseo] Take it easy, guys. No pressure.
115
00:04:39,112 --> 00:04:40,413
-Hey, Seungjun!
-Nice one!
116
00:04:40,480 --> 00:04:41,848
Look at the puck, Seungjun!
117
00:04:41,914 --> 00:04:44,117
-I can't!
-[Sungmin] Work on your tracking, man!
118
00:04:44,183 --> 00:04:45,852
[Hyunjae] Eyes on the puck!
119
00:04:45,918 --> 00:04:47,987
-[exclaims]
-[chuckles]
120
00:04:48,054 --> 00:04:49,822
[Youngho] That thing's
practically calling us.
121
00:04:49,889 --> 00:04:51,090
Yeah, the punching machine.
122
00:04:52,859 --> 00:04:55,194
At last, the main event of the day.
123
00:04:55,862 --> 00:04:58,898
-How about a little taste of the finals?
-[contestants exclaim]
124
00:04:58,965 --> 00:05:01,567
Seungjun versus Chaehyun.
125
00:05:01,634 --> 00:05:03,403
A little pre-fight event.
126
00:05:03,469 --> 00:05:04,904
-[laughs]
-[contestants exclaim]
127
00:05:04,971 --> 00:05:05,972
[contestant] Okay, sure.
128
00:05:06,039 --> 00:05:07,040
Sounds fun.
129
00:05:07,106 --> 00:05:09,108
[contestants clamor]
130
00:05:09,175 --> 00:05:11,177
[clamoring, chattering]
131
00:05:12,045 --> 00:05:13,713
-To the camera. Turn around.
-[chuckles]
132
00:05:13,780 --> 00:05:14,781
No, keep going, man!
133
00:05:14,847 --> 00:05:16,749
-All right, there you go!
-[♪ upbeat music playing]
134
00:05:16,816 --> 00:05:18,184
ALL-AROUND OUTBOXER,
PRINCE LEE CHAEHYUN
135
00:05:18,251 --> 00:05:19,719
Nice. That's it.
136
00:05:19,786 --> 00:05:20,820
Seungjun, your turn.
137
00:05:20,887 --> 00:05:23,323
Show him what you've got, man.
138
00:05:23,890 --> 00:05:27,860
EVER-EVOLVING INFIGHTER
BODY KILLER KUK SEUNGJUN
139
00:05:28,494 --> 00:05:30,897
[contestant] All right, fair enough.
Let's give him an A for effort.
140
00:05:32,665 --> 00:05:33,800
You up for this?
141
00:05:33,866 --> 00:05:35,068
Let's make it a real bet.
142
00:05:35,568 --> 00:05:37,303
-Loser buys dinner.
-Dinner?
143
00:05:37,370 --> 00:05:38,938
-[clamors]
-How does that sound? Deal?
144
00:05:39,972 --> 00:05:41,274
-Deal.
-[contestants laughing]
145
00:05:41,341 --> 00:05:44,444
-You sure military pay can cover that?
-Prices around here are no joke, though.
146
00:05:44,510 --> 00:05:46,312
[Youngho] Loser buys dinner. Deal?
147
00:05:46,379 --> 00:05:47,780
-Deal?
-Okay, deal.
148
00:05:47,847 --> 00:05:49,782
My punching power's gone up these days.
149
00:05:49,849 --> 00:05:50,883
I mean for real.
150
00:05:50,950 --> 00:05:53,453
-Okay, go, go, go.
-I'll hit on 10.
151
00:05:53,519 --> 00:05:55,455
-[♪ tense music playing]
-My palms are all sweaty.
152
00:05:55,521 --> 00:05:56,656
[Youngho] Load up and go!
153
00:05:56,723 --> 00:05:57,757
[contestants clamor]
154
00:05:58,725 --> 00:06:00,460
-[contestant 1 exclaims]
-[contestants clamor]
155
00:06:00,526 --> 00:06:02,528
[exclaiming]
156
00:06:04,130 --> 00:06:06,165
MYUNG HYUNMAN: 9,291 POINTS
157
00:06:06,232 --> 00:06:08,801
-All right, whenever you're ready…
-[Dex exclaims]
158
00:06:09,402 --> 00:06:11,104
[contestants cheering]
159
00:06:11,170 --> 00:06:13,673
KIM MINUK: 9,367 POINTS
160
00:06:15,608 --> 00:06:17,276
-Load up and go!
-[exclaim]
161
00:06:17,343 --> 00:06:19,078
-You hit the side.
-That was a bit off.
162
00:06:19,645 --> 00:06:21,414
[contestant] All right!
163
00:06:21,948 --> 00:06:23,049
LEE CHAEHYUN: 9,537 POINTS
164
00:06:23,116 --> 00:06:24,117
For real?
165
00:06:24,183 --> 00:06:25,885
But 9,500? That's huge.
166
00:06:25,952 --> 00:06:26,953
[Chaehyun] Of course.
167
00:06:27,019 --> 00:06:29,522
-Hold on. Come here.
-Let's take this off first.
168
00:06:30,923 --> 00:06:33,559
-Hey, hey, stop. Not the pants. [laughs]
-[contestants laughing]
169
00:06:33,626 --> 00:06:34,627
Seriously, don't.
170
00:06:35,461 --> 00:06:36,462

00:14:28,534 --> 00:14:30,536
[♪ tense music playing]
340
00:14:32,738 --> 00:14:36,942
THUNDER KWON OHGON
341
00:14:37,009 --> 00:14:40,713
[Seungheon] This is the I Am Boxer finals,
kicking things off with a special match.
342
00:14:40,779 --> 00:14:42,748
Here's our first fighter, Kwon Ohgon.
343
00:14:42,815 --> 00:14:47,119
[Gyuwon] He's widely regarded
as the fastest boxer in Korea today.
344
00:14:47,186 --> 00:14:49,588
KWON OHGON'S WIFE
345
00:14:50,155 --> 00:14:51,590
[spectator 2] Let's go!
346
00:14:52,625 --> 00:14:54,093
[spectator 3] Man, he's cool!
347
00:14:58,130 --> 00:15:00,132
[spectators cheering continues]
348
00:15:01,600 --> 00:15:02,968
[spectator] You're the man!
349
00:15:09,008 --> 00:15:10,109
[team member 1] Let's do this.
350
00:15:10,175 --> 00:15:13,712
[team member 2] Let's not get hurt today.
Just have fun and stay safe.
351
00:15:13,779 --> 00:15:15,814
-One, two, three, let's go!
-[team members] Yeah!
352
00:15:21,387 --> 00:15:24,390
[Seungheon] Though he
narrowly missed the finals,
353
00:15:24,456 --> 00:15:26,759
he's a fighter who's inspired many others.
354
00:15:26,825 --> 00:15:29,628
I'm curious to see
what kind of fight he puts on tonight.
355
00:15:29,695 --> 00:15:31,196
That was Kwon Ohgon.
356
00:15:31,997 --> 00:15:33,299
All right.
357
00:15:34,767 --> 00:15:37,169
You stood up earlier,
and it put pressure on him.
358
00:15:38,470 --> 00:15:39,471
[chuckles]
359
00:15:39,538 --> 00:15:42,007
We never said we'd stand up
when introducing the fighter,
360
00:15:42,074 --> 00:15:44,443
-but since Dex went ahead and did it…
-[chuckles]
361
00:15:44,510 --> 00:15:47,212
…I guess I will too. [inhales deeply]
362
00:15:47,279 --> 00:15:52,851
Entering from the red corner,
Snyper, Kim Minuk!
363
00:15:52,918 --> 00:15:54,920
-[spectators cheering]
-[applause]
364
00:15:59,692 --> 00:16:01,760
HAIRY HUNK KIM MINUK
365
00:16:01,827 --> 00:16:03,829
[♪ tense music playing]
366
00:16:07,700 --> 00:16:11,537
SNYPER KIM MINUK
367
00:16:12,204 --> 00:16:14,340
[Seungheon] Now entering
the arena is Kim Minuk.
368
00:16:14,406 --> 00:16:16,408
[Gyuwon] A former East Asian champion,
369
00:16:16,475 --> 00:16:20,079
known for his crisp, Mexican-style boxing.
370
00:16:20,579 --> 00:16:23,115
KIM MINUK'S WIFE
371
00:16:29,154 --> 00:16:31,156
[spectators cheering continues]
372
00:16:35,361 --> 00:16:38,397
There's real weight to his presence, huh?
373
00:16:38,464 --> 00:16:40,499
-I got chills.
-Same.
374
00:16:41,767 --> 00:16:42,768
[Minuk supporter] Son!
375
00:16:44,370 --> 00:16:45,671
[spectator 2] Let's go!
376
00:16:47,506 --> 00:16:50,609
KIM MINUK'S PARENTS
377
00:16:52,211 --> 00:16:54,213
[spectators cheering continues]
378
00:16:55,347 --> 00:16:57,049
[Seungheon] We'll be watching
for that big shot!
379
00:16:57,116 --> 00:16:58,650
Snyper, Kim Minuk!
380
00:16:59,518 --> 00:17:01,820
[spectators cheering intensifies]
381
00:17:13,665 --> 00:17:16,235
-[spectator 1] Let's go, Kim Minuk!
-[spectators cheering]
382
00:17:16,301 --> 00:17:18,504
THUNDER KWON OHGON
X SNYPER KIM MINUK
383
00:17:20,806 --> 00:17:24,410
[Dex] Let's hear
from both fighters before the match.
384
00:17:24,476 --> 00:17:27,346
I've looked up to Kim Minuk
since high school.
385
00:17:27,413 --> 00:17:30,816
He's always been someone I admired.
A role model of mine.
386
00:17:30,883 --> 00:17:34,319
I'm grateful
to be part of a match like this,
387
00:17:34,386 --> 00:17:36,455
one you don't get just anywhere.
388
00:17:36,522 --> 00:17:38,390
A lot of time has passed, sir.
389
00:17:38,457 --> 00:17:41,326
Tonight, I'll aim to rise higher than you.
390
00:17:41,393 --> 00:17:42,428
-Thank you.
-[cheering]
391
00:17:42,494 --> 00:17:44,596
I LURV YOU
392
00:17:48,100 --> 00:17:50,669
Tonight, I'll demonstrate exactly why
393
00:17:51,170 --> 00:17:54,206
an East Asian Champion
is a step above a Korean Champion.
394
00:17:54,273 --> 00:17:56,308
Please watch and observe.
395
00:17:56,375 --> 00:17:57,743
[spectators clamoring]
396
00:17:57,810 --> 00:18:00,479
No! Don't do that!
397
00:18:01,013 --> 00:18:05,217
True to the name Snyper,
I'll show you what I'm made of.
398
00:18:05,284 --> 00:18:06,285
Thank you!
399
00:18:06,351 --> 00:18:08,587
-[spectators cheering]
-[spectator] All right, Mr. Handsome!
400
00:18:08,654 --> 00:18:10,989
-All right. Great.
-[Jongkook chuckles]
401
00:18:11,723 --> 00:18:14,860
It's a great matchup, sure.
402
00:18:14,927 --> 00:18:17,296
But the cornermen are just as impressive.
403
00:18:17,362 --> 00:18:20,466
Joining us ringside,
Actors Im Sungjae and Kim Minseok.
404
00:18:20,532 --> 00:18:24,203
They're also big fans of boxing.
405
00:18:26,238 --> 00:18:28,540
All right, fighters,
prepare for the match.
406
00:18:29,341 --> 00:18:31,543
[Seungheon] Kwon Ohgon versus Kim Minuk.
407
00:18:31,610 --> 00:18:35,547
It's a matchup
boxing fans have long waited for.
408
00:18:35,614 --> 00:18:38,450
-[♪ tense music playing]
-[Gyuwon] Both fighters excel at timing,
409
00:18:38,517 --> 00:18:40,619
so expect a razor-thin, explosive battle.
410
00:18:41,120 --> 00:18:44,656
[Minuk] First off, we're pretty close.
411
00:18:44,723 --> 00:18:49,194
It's not easy fighting someone
who's like a little brother to me.
412
00:18:49,261 --> 00:18:51,130
But I hope he gives it everything.
413
00:18:51,196 --> 00:18:53,866
Otherwise,
he won't be able to keep up with me.
414
00:18:54,399 --> 00:18:58,270
Tonight, I'm going to crush him.
415
00:18:58,337 --> 00:19:02,708
I hope we put on a great fight
for the audience, sir.
416
00:19:02,774 --> 00:19:05,144
[Jongkook] The I Am Boxer special match!
417
00:19:05,210 --> 00:19:06,678
Let's begin the first matchup
418
00:19:07,746 --> 00:19:09,114
right now!
419
00:19:11,683 --> 00:19:13,919
-All right, box!
-[bell dings]
420
00:19:13,986 --> 00:19:15,420
KIM MINUK X KWON OHGON
421
00:19:15,487 --> 00:19:18,123
[Seungheon] The first round is underway.
Kwon Ohgon versus Kim Minuk!
422
00:19:18,824 --> 00:19:20,526
[spectator] Let's go, Minuk!
423
00:19:20,592 --> 00:19:22,194
[Seungheon] Kwon Ohgon starts
with the left.
424
00:19:24,429 --> 00:19:26,798
[Gyuwon] A battle for lead-hand control is
unfolding right now.
425
00:19:26,865 --> 00:19:29,735
This opening exchange is all about
who controls the rhythm.
426
00:19:29,801 --> 00:19:31,770
-It's about who takes control.
-[Seungheon] That's right.
427
00:19:32,638 --> 00:19:34,339
[spectators clamor]
428
00:19:35,174 --> 00:19:36,808
[Seungheon] Both fighters
exchange punches.
429
00:19:36,875 --> 00:19:38,310
[♪ tense music playing]
430
00:19:38,377 --> 00:19:40,913
[Minuk] Ohgon was using
his lead hand well.
431
00:19:41,880 --> 00:19:45,317
So I thought, "Don't force it.
Just slowly close the distance."
432
00:19:49,855 --> 00:19:51,290
Kim strikes and quickly slips.
433
00:19:51,356 --> 00:19:52,891
[spectators exclaim]
434
00:19:54,593 --> 00:19:56,195
[Seungheon] Kwon Ohgon goes to the body!
435
00:20:00,299 --> 00:20:02,267
Kwon eases back.
436
00:20:02,334 --> 00:20:03,702
Use the lead hand!
437
00:20:04,536 --> 00:20:06,438
[Minseok] You've gotta work the jab!
438
00:20:07,639 --> 00:20:09,274
[Jongkook] He's not holding back.
439
00:20:09,341 --> 00:20:11,777
Since there aren't many rounds,
Kwon Ohgon's just going for it.
440
00:20:11,843 --> 00:20:13,278
Yes, it's only three rounds.
441
00:20:14,146 --> 00:20:16,548
[spectator] All right! Nice!
442
00:20:17,583 --> 00:20:20,719
-None of Kwon Ohgon's punches landed.
-No.
443
00:20:20,786 --> 00:20:22,354
Everything was blocked.
444
00:20:22,421 --> 00:20:23,889
[spectator] Keep it up!
445
00:20:23,956 --> 00:20:26,725
[Ohgon] I kept tapping him
to probe for openings,
446
00:20:27,226 --> 00:20:30,529
-but Minuk's defense was just too solid.
-[♪ tense music playing]
447
00:20:30,596 --> 00:20:31,897
[spectator 1] Find your range.
448
00:20:31,964 --> 00:20:33,265
Yes, keep that guard up!
449
00:20:33,332 --> 00:20:34,833
[spectators exclaim]
450
00:20:36,235 --> 00:20:39,037
-[exclaim]
-An amazing uppercut landed there!
451
00:20:39,104 --> 00:20:40,539
Oh, no…
452
00:20:42,641 --> 00:20:44,243
[spectator 2] All right! That's it!
453
00:20:45,010 --> 00:20:47,045
[Minuk] Once I start trading, I know.
454
00:20:47,112 --> 00:20:49,448
You get a feel for how he punches.
455
00:20:52,451 --> 00:20:53,986
[Lee] Kim's got a good read on his moves.
456
00:20:55,487 --> 00:20:56,855
[Minuk] Yeah. This is doable.
457
00:20:56,922 --> 00:20:58,924
[♪ tense music playing]
458
00:20:59,725 --> 00:21:01,293
[spectator 1] Get out!
Circle out of there!
459
00:21:02,561 --> 00:21:04,129
Throw hard, but one at a time!
460
00:21:04,730 --> 00:21:05,797
Left to the body!
461
00:21:05,864 --> 00:21:07,499
-[exclaims]
-All right!
462
00:21:07,566 --> 00:21:11,336
[Gyuwon] Kim Minuk has started
to get a read on Kwon Ohgon's rhythm.
463
00:21:11,403 --> 00:21:14,273
He's slowly backing Kwon
into the corner now.
464
00:21:14,773 --> 00:21:16,608
[spectators clamor]
465
00:21:20,712 --> 00:21:22,781
-Keep the pressure up!
-Pressure him!
466
00:21:23,482 --> 00:21:24,916
Ohgon, circle out of there!
467
00:21:25,684 --> 00:21:27,152
Get out of there! That's it!
468
00:21:32,824 --> 00:21:34,159
[Lee, spectators exclaim]
469
00:21:35,327 --> 00:21:37,162
[Lee, spectators exclaim]
470
00:21:38,897 --> 00:21:39,898
[spectator] All right!
471
00:21:40,499 --> 00:21:41,500
[bell dings]
472
00:21:41,566 --> 00:21:44,703
[Seungheon] And that brings us
to the end of the round.
473
00:21:45,704 --> 00:21:47,806
-[applause]
-Kwon pressed forward at times.
474
00:21:47,873 --> 00:21:51,410
But as for Kim Minuk,
he spent the round calmly,
475
00:21:51,476 --> 00:21:53,445
easing his way into the fight.
476
00:21:53,512 --> 00:21:56,315
Round 1 was about
getting a read on each other's rhythm.
477
00:21:56,381 --> 00:21:57,949
Plus, there was some tactical probing.
478
00:21:58,717 --> 00:22:00,585
-[team member] You good so far, right?
-Yep.
479
00:22:00,652 --> 00:22:03,322
[team member] Relax a bit.
There's too much tension on every shot.
480
00:22:04,523 --> 00:22:07,492
One of the body shots landed,
so now he'll start guarding the body.
481
00:22:07,559 --> 00:22:09,428
When you throw your right combos,
482
00:22:09,494 --> 00:22:10,829
you lift your chin sometimes.
483
00:22:10,896 --> 00:22:12,531
Watch out for the uppercut there.
484
00:22:13,098 --> 00:22:16,868
[Minuk] I plan to close the distance
and press harder moving forward.
485
00:22:17,369 --> 00:22:19,371
[Seungheon] Let's see
if either fighter makes adjustments
486
00:22:19,438 --> 00:22:22,240
-as they get ready for the second round.
-[♪ tense music playing]
487
00:22:22,307 --> 00:22:24,009
-Let's go!
-Come on, stay strong!
488
00:22:25,310 --> 00:22:27,813
-[spectator 2] Let's go, Ohgon!
-Let's go!
489
00:22:28,480 --> 00:22:30,115
KIM MINUK X KWON OHGON
490
00:22:30,182 --> 00:22:31,750
[Seungheon] Here we go, the second round.
491
00:22:33,285 --> 00:22:35,287
-[spectators cheering]
-[applause]
492
00:22:36,688 --> 00:22:38,724
-[spectators clamoring]
-[exclaims]
493
00:22:38,790 --> 00:22:39,825
Kim's pressing hard.
494
00:22:39,891 --> 00:22:41,460
And he lands!
495
00:22:41,526 --> 00:22:42,527
Yes! All right!
496
00:22:43,762 --> 00:22:45,564
[spectator] Cover up, Ohgon! Cover up!
497
00:22:45,630 --> 00:22:47,532
-Don't just stand there!
-[♪ tense music playing]
498
00:22:50,102 --> 00:22:51,269
-[exclaims]
-Nice left shot!
499
00:22:52,270 --> 00:22:54,239
Neither of them likes to back up.
500
00:22:54,306 --> 00:22:55,407
They stand their ground.
501
00:22:56,475 --> 00:22:57,709
Just watch out for those!
502
00:22:57,776 --> 00:22:59,311
[spectator 2] Go! Throw the left!
503
00:22:59,378 --> 00:23:01,947
[Gyuwon] We're seeing
a test of durability here.
504
00:23:02,013 --> 00:23:03,982
Neither fighter is retreating at all!
505
00:23:04,049 --> 00:23:05,384
-That's it!
-There you go!
506
00:23:05,984 --> 00:23:07,285
Once again, excellent left jab.
507
00:23:07,352 --> 00:23:08,687
[spectator] Okay, just go for it!
508
00:23:08,754 --> 00:23:09,955
[Minseok] All right!
509
00:23:11,456 --> 00:23:12,791
[Jongkook] Man, he got caught there.
510
00:23:15,961 --> 00:23:17,829
[Seungheon] That was
a clean land from Kim Minuk!
511
00:23:19,097 --> 00:23:21,299
Kim is piling up the clean shots.
512
00:23:21,366 --> 00:23:22,667
[in English] All right, I rate that.
513
00:23:22,734 --> 00:23:24,369
-Oh!
-Nice speed.
514
00:23:24,436 --> 00:23:25,804
[in Korean] Push harder! Keep going!
515
00:23:26,571 --> 00:23:27,973
[Seungheon] Fire with him on the exit!
516
00:23:30,409 --> 00:23:32,043
Kim goes in for another uppercut.
517
00:23:33,478 --> 00:23:35,247
He went for a big one there.
518
00:23:37,916 --> 00:23:40,285
Kwon lets it glance off
and slips away cleanly.
519
00:23:40,352 --> 00:23:42,587
See that slip while turning his head?
520
00:23:43,922 --> 00:23:45,791
[Ohgon] My gas tank was still full,
521
00:23:45,857 --> 00:23:47,726
so I decided to start applying pressure.
522
00:23:48,360 --> 00:23:50,095
-[spectator] He's open!
-[Seungheon exclaims]
523
00:23:50,162 --> 00:23:51,329
Nice uppercut!
524
00:23:51,396 --> 00:23:52,397
Another uppercut!
525
00:23:52,464 --> 00:23:53,932
[exclaims]
526
00:23:53,999 --> 00:23:56,101
There. That uppercut landed clean.
527
00:23:57,135 --> 00:23:58,136
[Seungheon] Another uppercut!
528
00:23:58,203 --> 00:24:00,138
-[♪ tense music playing]
-That sends him stumbling!
529
00:24:02,307 --> 00:24:04,009
-Body and then hook! Nice!
-[spectators gasp]
530
00:24:06,111 --> 00:24:07,712
[Seungheon] He's firing
multiple uppercuts!
531
00:24:07,779 --> 00:24:09,080
Here comes sharp combo!
532
00:24:09,147 --> 00:24:10,582
Left, then right uppercut!
533
00:24:11,082 --> 00:24:14,419
-Kwon's looking to dictate the pace again.
-[Seungheon] That's right.
534
00:24:15,754 --> 00:24:17,088
-[exclaims]
-[clamor]
535
00:24:18,056 --> 00:24:19,424
-[exclaims]
-[clamor]
536
00:24:19,491 --> 00:24:20,692
That landed, didn't it?
537
00:24:20,759 --> 00:24:22,360
Hey, the momentum's shifting.
538
00:24:23,728 --> 00:24:26,298
[Seungheon] Kwon throws a counter
to the side. He's pressing forward again.
539
00:24:27,065 --> 00:24:28,233
[spectator] Go for it!
540
00:24:28,733 --> 00:24:30,602
[spectators clamor]
541
00:24:31,803 --> 00:24:32,971
-[exclaims]
-[clamors]
542
00:24:33,038 --> 00:24:34,172
[Lee] That caught him.
543
00:24:35,407 --> 00:24:40,111
[Minuk] Ohgon was stronger
than I expected.
544
00:24:40,178 --> 00:24:41,847
Much tougher than I thought.
545
00:24:44,716 --> 00:24:46,351
-[Seungheon] Go for it now!
-[Dex exclaims]
546
00:24:46,418 --> 00:24:48,987
-[exclaims]
-[spectators cheering]
547
00:24:49,054 --> 00:24:50,622
[♪ tense music playing]
548
00:24:50,689 --> 00:24:51,823
-[exclaims]
-[clamors]
549
00:24:52,390 --> 00:24:54,192
[Gyuwon] Neither fighter has backed
up until now.
550
00:24:54,259 --> 00:24:56,094
That was tonight's first slip and rip!
551
00:24:57,262 --> 00:25:00,165
[Seungheon] They're trading!
And there's that left jab from Kim!
552
00:25:00,232 --> 00:25:02,234
[spectators clamoring]
553
00:25:08,073 --> 00:25:09,841
-They traded.
-Yeah.
554
00:25:11,176 --> 00:25:13,512
[Gyuwon] This could swing
either way right now!
555
00:25:13,578 --> 00:25:15,280
[Seungheon] Wait,
are we seeing a clinch here?
556
00:25:15,347 --> 00:25:17,148
Is that the first one we've seen tonight?
557
00:25:17,215 --> 00:25:19,017
-[spectators cheering]
-[applause]
558
00:25:19,084 --> 00:25:20,151
They're back at it.
559
00:25:21,586 --> 00:25:23,188
[spectator] That's it!
Extend the lead hand!
560
00:25:23,255 --> 00:25:24,322
Extend that arm!
561
00:25:24,389 --> 00:25:25,757
[Sungjae exclaims]
562
00:25:26,258 --> 00:25:28,460
-[exclaims]
-[Seungheon] A sharp straight!
563
00:25:28,527 --> 00:25:30,362
[spectator] Stick it in, man!
564
00:25:30,428 --> 00:25:31,429
[Seungheon] Once again!
565
00:25:31,930 --> 00:25:33,298
That's it! Stick that right in!
566
00:25:34,566 --> 00:25:35,567
All right!
567
00:25:35,634 --> 00:25:36,868
Oh, that was nice.
568
00:25:36,935 --> 00:25:38,003
[spectator] Keep it long!
569
00:25:40,138 --> 00:25:41,139
[referee] Break!
570
00:25:41,206 --> 00:25:42,607
-[bell dings]
-[referee] Break!
571
00:25:42,674 --> 00:25:44,776
-[cheering]
-And that's the end of the second round.
572
00:25:45,343 --> 00:25:47,412
[Gyuwon] This is absolutely gripping!
573
00:25:47,479 --> 00:25:51,716
[Seungheon] Both fighters are delivering,
living up to the "special match" label.
574
00:25:51,783 --> 00:25:54,085
Man, this is another level.
[exhales deeply]
575
00:25:54,152 --> 00:25:56,154
They're both tough opponents.
576
00:25:57,455 --> 00:25:59,291
[Sungjae] It's the third round, Ohgon.
577
00:25:59,357 --> 00:26:00,358
What's your game?
578
00:26:00,425 --> 00:26:01,893
Wanna go to war?
579
00:26:01,960 --> 00:26:03,261
-I can do that.
-[Sungjae] Okay.
580
00:26:03,328 --> 00:26:04,896
You can do this, man. You got this.
581
00:26:06,298 --> 00:26:09,067
-Man, I just stood there and took it.
-[Minseok] Right, you can't do that.
582
00:26:09,134 --> 00:26:11,136
-[Minuk] It wasn't easy at all.
-[tense music playing]
583
00:26:12,837 --> 00:26:14,873
[Minuk] While staying cautious
of his lead hand,
584
00:26:14,940 --> 00:26:18,043
I got pulled into his rhythm a bit.
585
00:26:19,044 --> 00:26:20,845
-Hey, this is the last one.
-Got it.
586
00:26:21,846 --> 00:26:26,151
In the final round,
I'm giving it everything I've got.
587
00:26:27,452 --> 00:26:30,388
[Ohgon] It's the final round,
so I'm going to press even harder.
588
00:26:30,455 --> 00:26:34,626
I'll show that I can surpass Kim Minuk,
no matter what.
589
00:26:34,693 --> 00:26:36,728
-It all comes down to this last round.
-[cheers]
590
00:26:36,795 --> 00:26:37,796
-[cheering]
-[applause]
591
00:26:37,862 --> 00:26:39,230
Let's go!
592
00:26:39,297 --> 00:26:40,699
Last round, Ohgon!
593
00:26:41,232 --> 00:26:43,702
-Minuk, let's go!
-You got this!
594
00:26:44,903 --> 00:26:46,771
-Final round. Make it count.
-Yes, let's go.
595
00:26:46,838 --> 00:26:48,340
Show me a professional fight.
596
00:26:48,406 --> 00:26:49,774
-[bell dings]
-All right.
597
00:26:49,841 --> 00:26:52,544
[Seungheon] And here we go,
the third and final round.
598
00:26:52,611 --> 00:26:54,412
KIM MINUK X KWON OHGON
599
00:26:54,479 --> 00:26:57,716
[Gyuwon] It's not about technique anymore.
It's about will and focus!
600
00:26:57,782 --> 00:26:59,317
-Wonderful start!
-[clamoring]
601
00:26:59,384 --> 00:27:00,885
That connected super clean.
602
00:27:00,952 --> 00:27:03,054
-[spectator] Lead hand!
-[♪ tense music playing]
603
00:27:03,121 --> 00:27:05,090
-[spectator 1] All right!
-[spectator 2] Great!
604
00:27:07,092 --> 00:27:08,093
-[exclaims]
-[exclaims]
605
00:27:08,159 --> 00:27:10,261
Kim lets his hands go! Kwon fires back!
606
00:27:11,229 --> 00:27:13,064
He's pressing forward!
607
00:27:15,400 --> 00:27:17,636
[Gyuwon] Kwon Ohgon's on a vicious flurry!
608
00:27:17,702 --> 00:27:19,070
[spectators clamoring continues]
609
00:27:19,137 --> 00:27:20,138
[Lee exclaims]
610
00:27:20,205 --> 00:27:21,873
Ohgon got caught just now!
611
00:27:23,008 --> 00:27:24,509
[Seungheon exclaims]
612
00:27:28,179 --> 00:27:30,215
[Gyuwon] Kim Minuk isn't letting
that opening slip!
613
00:27:30,281 --> 00:27:32,017
[Seungheon] He was waiting to counter!
614
00:27:33,518 --> 00:27:35,253
[spectator] Ohgon,
keep the lead hand long!
615
00:27:35,320 --> 00:27:37,055
[Jongkook] Kim Minuk is watching him.
616
00:27:38,823 --> 00:27:42,327
[Seungheon] This is Kim Minuk's
wheelhouse, working off the ropes.
617
00:27:42,394 --> 00:27:44,062
Let's see if it works this time.
618
00:27:44,129 --> 00:27:45,964
[Lee] He's looking
to fire back with a counter.
619
00:27:46,031 --> 00:27:47,265
[spectator] Leave him!
620
00:27:47,332 --> 00:27:48,733
[Seungheon] A heavy exchange in close!
621
00:27:49,334 --> 00:27:50,568
[spectator] Body, then upstairs!
622
00:27:50,635 --> 00:27:52,404
-There you go!
-[exclaims]
623
00:27:52,470 --> 00:27:54,205
[Seungheon] Kwon going to the body!
624
00:27:54,272 --> 00:27:55,707
And Kim to the head!
625
00:27:55,774 --> 00:27:57,542
-[spectator] Yes! That's it!
-[♪ tense music playing]
626
00:27:57,609 --> 00:27:59,044
[spectator 1] All right!
627
00:28:00,578 --> 00:28:03,014
[Gyuwon] Kim Minuk's focus is incredible.
628
00:28:06,117 --> 00:28:07,652
Break! Break!
629
00:28:07,719 --> 00:28:08,920
[spectator] All right!
630
00:28:13,224 --> 00:28:15,226
Minuk, you got this!
631
00:28:15,293 --> 00:28:16,594
-Kim Minuk!
-Kim Minuk!
632
00:28:16,661 --> 00:28:17,929
Let's go!
633
00:28:18,596 --> 00:28:20,565
[spectators cheering]
634
00:28:23,201 --> 00:28:27,272
[Gyuwon] Will it be Kwon Ohgon's
aggression, or Kim Minuk's cold precision?
635
00:28:29,274 --> 00:28:32,143
[Seungheon] Both fighters have been
waiting for this stage!
636
00:28:32,210 --> 00:28:34,479
[spectators clamoring continues]
637
00:28:36,247 --> 00:28:37,248
[Lee] He's not backing off.
638
00:28:37,315 --> 00:28:38,550
He's countering right back.
639
00:28:39,350 --> 00:28:40,919
Okay, now come out and fight!
640
00:28:41,453 --> 00:28:42,554
Rip the uppercut!
641
00:28:44,222 --> 00:28:45,790
[Seungheon] He's working the uppercut.
642
00:28:45,857 --> 00:28:48,560
[Gyuwon] Now that's a beautiful uppercut!
643
00:28:49,227 --> 00:28:51,863
Let's go, Minuk! You got this!
644
00:28:51,930 --> 00:28:54,766
[Minseok] Fight like this is your last!
Dig deep right now!
645
00:28:54,833 --> 00:28:55,967
Stick the lead hand in!
646
00:28:56,034 --> 00:28:58,703
-[spectator 2] You've gotta dig deeper!
-[♪ tense music playing]
647
00:29:01,539 --> 00:29:03,374
[spectator 3] Ohgon, you're almost there!
648
00:29:03,441 --> 00:29:05,910
-[Minseok] All right! He's caught!
-[exclaims]
649
00:29:06,611 --> 00:29:08,012
[spectators exclaim]
650
00:29:08,079 --> 00:29:10,582
[Gyuwon] He sets the angle
and counters with a shovel hook!
651
00:29:11,416 --> 00:29:13,618
[Seungheon] Both fighters are throwing
with full power.
652
00:29:15,286 --> 00:29:17,188
Come on, please…
653
00:29:17,255 --> 00:29:18,790
Go, go!
654
00:29:19,791 --> 00:29:21,192
[Gyuwon] It's time to decide this fight.
655
00:29:21,259 --> 00:29:22,293
[spectator] Doing great!
656
00:29:22,360 --> 00:29:24,162
[spectator 1] Ohgon! Last push!
657
00:29:27,265 --> 00:29:30,101
[Gyuwon] From here on out,
this isn't about stamina!
658
00:29:30,168 --> 00:29:31,736
It's about concentration!
659
00:29:32,604 --> 00:29:34,372
-You got this!
-Let's go!
660
00:29:34,439 --> 00:29:35,940
[spectators cheering]
661
00:29:36,007 --> 00:29:37,776
[Seungheon] Kim's loading
up on the right again!
662
00:29:38,877 --> 00:29:40,712
[Sungjae] All right!
Keep going till the end!
663
00:29:41,679 --> 00:29:43,948
-Fight like it's your last, man!
-This is it!
664
00:29:44,015 --> 00:29:45,850
[Minseok] Fight like it's your last, man!
665
00:29:47,385 --> 00:29:48,386
[cheering, clamoring stops]
666
00:29:51,289 --> 00:29:53,291
[♪ calming music playing]
667
00:30:23,054 --> 00:30:25,190
-[bell dings]
-[spectators cheering]
668
00:30:25,757 --> 00:30:29,360
[Seungheon] And that's
the end of the fight!
669
00:30:29,861 --> 00:30:31,863
-[bell dings]
-[spectators cheering]
670
00:30:31,930 --> 00:30:33,932
[applause]
671
00:30:33,998 --> 00:30:36,067
[♪ triumphant music playing]
672
00:30:36,134 --> 00:30:37,135
[cheers]
673
00:30:38,002 --> 00:30:40,004
[spectators cheering continues]
674
00:30:42,273 --> 00:30:45,243

00:39:34,438 --> 00:39:36,540
He needs to get inside.
845
00:39:37,641 --> 00:39:38,976
[person 1] Let's go, Hyunman!
846
00:39:39,043 --> 00:39:40,111
[person 2] Let's go!
847
00:39:41,445 --> 00:39:42,780
[Seungheon] Hong Sungmin steps inside.
848
00:39:42,847 --> 00:39:44,115
[person 3] Stay calm!
849
00:39:46,150 --> 00:39:47,151
[referee] That's not good.
850
00:39:48,152 --> 00:39:49,787
-[person 4] Wow.
-[audience gasps]
851
00:39:50,521 --> 00:39:52,523
Stop! Stop!
852
00:39:53,023 --> 00:39:55,059
-[referee] No holding.
-[person 1] You got this!
853
00:39:55,126 --> 00:39:56,427
[person 2] Stay calm, Sungmin!
854
00:39:57,495 --> 00:39:59,296
-[referee] Box!
-[person 3] You got this!
855
00:39:59,363 --> 00:40:00,765
[♪ intense music playing]
856
00:40:03,167 --> 00:40:05,836
[Seungheon] Hong Sungmin continues
to press forward on the inside.
857
00:40:08,706 --> 00:40:11,642
Stop! Stop! Stop!
858
00:40:13,611 --> 00:40:17,114
It looks like he's clinching on purpose.
859
00:40:17,181 --> 00:40:19,150
Yeah, that's what it seems like.
860
00:40:19,216 --> 00:40:20,351
[referee] Two or three together!
861
00:40:20,418 --> 00:40:22,586
[Seungheon] Hong keeps his guard high
and stays on Myung.
862
00:40:22,653 --> 00:40:23,854
And he closes in.
863
00:40:23,921 --> 00:40:24,955
[audience gasps] All right!
864
00:40:25,022 --> 00:40:26,023
Ah…
865
00:40:27,658 --> 00:40:28,826
-[referee] Stop!
-[audience gasps]
866
00:40:28,893 --> 00:40:32,396
[Gyuwon] Myung Hyunman is clinching
whenever his opponent comes in.
867
00:40:35,232 --> 00:40:36,700
[Sungmin] It was pretty frustrating.
868
00:40:37,301 --> 00:40:39,403
[person 1] Come on, Hyunman!
869
00:40:46,210 --> 00:40:48,112
[Dex] Well, another clinch.
870
00:40:48,179 --> 00:40:50,147
-[bell rings]
-[person 2] All right.
871
00:40:50,214 --> 00:40:51,816
[audience applauding]
872
00:40:56,387 --> 00:40:59,223
[Dex]
He's a lot more cautious than I expected.
873
00:40:59,290 --> 00:41:00,658
-You can tell.
-[Lee] Yeah.
874
00:41:00,724 --> 00:41:03,327
He's not just flat-out brawling.
875
00:41:03,394 --> 00:41:05,529
-He respects the skill level.
-[Jongkook] Right, right.
876
00:41:06,530 --> 00:41:09,300
When you step out and he comes back in,
877
00:41:09,366 --> 00:41:11,635
-I told you to read his moves.
-Right.
878
00:41:11,702 --> 00:41:13,637
[Chongpal]
Does he throw a jab or straight first?
879
00:41:13,704 --> 00:41:14,972
You strike when he does.
880
00:41:15,039 --> 00:41:17,208
[Hyunman]
I need to put my stamp on this fight.
881
00:41:17,274 --> 00:41:19,710
If you wrestle him,
you'll gas yourself out.
882
00:41:19,777 --> 00:41:21,245
Just pivot out and punch.
883
00:41:21,312 --> 00:41:23,581
He keeps grabbing me,
putting his arm around.
884
00:41:23,647 --> 00:41:24,648
But I'll try.
885
00:41:24,715 --> 00:41:27,985
[Sungmin] The plan was to slip as much
as I can and just let my hands go.
886
00:41:28,752 --> 00:41:33,290
[Seungheon] Myung Hyunman has made
his game plan clear early on.
887
00:41:33,357 --> 00:41:34,358
[whistle blows]
888
00:41:34,425 --> 00:41:37,595
[Seungheon] We'll see
how Hong Sungmin responds to that
889
00:41:37,661 --> 00:41:39,797
going into the second round.
890
00:41:39,864 --> 00:41:41,031
[bell rings]
891
00:41:41,098 --> 00:41:42,099
[referee] Box!
892
00:41:42,166 --> 00:41:46,337
MYUNG HYUNMAN X HONG SUNGMIN
893
00:41:47,104 --> 00:41:49,573
[person] Myung Hyunman, let's go!
894
00:41:52,510 --> 00:41:53,878
[referee] No clinching.
895
00:41:55,045 --> 00:41:56,780
[Lee] He's got that head locked in tight.
896
00:41:56,847 --> 00:41:59,116
If you keep getting clinched up like that,
897
00:41:59,183 --> 00:42:00,718
your stamina drains fast.
898
00:42:02,486 --> 00:42:03,554
[Jongkook] Hey.
899
00:42:05,823 --> 00:42:07,858
[Hyunman] The idea is to sap his energy
in the clinch,
900
00:42:07,925 --> 00:42:09,493
then start dealing damage.
901
00:42:11,862 --> 00:42:13,664
-Stop!
-[person 1] Man, he's strong.
902
00:42:15,399 --> 00:42:18,168
[person 2] When someone much bigger
presses you down, your hands are tied.
903
00:42:18,235 --> 00:42:19,570
[person 3] He's being forced to squat.
904
00:42:20,571 --> 00:42:22,306
[sighs]
905
00:42:22,373 --> 00:42:23,874
[Dex] Sungmin needs to step it up now.
906
00:42:24,508 --> 00:42:27,144
-[person 1] Let's go, Sungmin!
-[audience gasps]
907
00:42:31,215 --> 00:42:33,617
[person 2] Don't go in straight!
Wait for it, then strike!
908
00:42:33,684 --> 00:42:34,985
[Seungheon] Another clinch.
909
00:42:35,052 --> 00:42:36,487
[Jihyun] Sungmin, get out of it!
910
00:42:39,890 --> 00:42:42,893
[Seungheon] Even in a clinch,
Hong is trying to work his own shots.
911
00:42:43,527 --> 00:42:45,763
[Sungmin]
I figured I'd just take the fight inside.
912
00:42:47,932 --> 00:42:50,000
-[Seungheon] And he's pushed off.
-[Lee] That's it.
913
00:42:51,802 --> 00:42:53,337
[Seungheon]
Hong Sungmin gets right to work.
914
00:42:53,404 --> 00:42:55,739
Once again,
Myung Hyunman goes for the clinch.
915
00:43:00,778 --> 00:43:02,279
-[Dex] Oh.
-[audience gasps]
916
00:43:02,846 --> 00:43:04,481
-[person 1] All right!
-[applause]
917
00:43:04,548 --> 00:43:06,483
[Jihyun] Hey, get out of there! Yes!
918
00:43:07,418 --> 00:43:08,619
-[person 2] Wow.
-[audience gasps]
919
00:43:08,686 --> 00:43:10,955
[Sungmin] When he tried to clinch,
I lowered my level and slipped.
920
00:43:12,022 --> 00:43:14,491
[Seungheon] Hong Sungmin is coming at him
with those combos!
921
00:43:21,365 --> 00:43:22,733
[Jongkook] Look at him using his knees.
922
00:43:23,300 --> 00:43:26,470
-[person 3] Let's go, Hyunman!
-[person 4] You got this!
923
00:43:26,537 --> 00:43:28,872
[person 5] Sungmin, work the combos!
Throw two at a time!
924
00:43:30,107 --> 00:43:31,108
That's it! Two!
925
00:43:31,175 --> 00:43:32,309
[gasping]
926
00:43:37,915 --> 00:43:40,150
[Seungheon] Ah! Look at Hong Sungmin go!
927
00:43:41,418 --> 00:43:45,789
[Gyuwon] Hong Sungmin is showing
Tyson-like combinations here.
928
00:43:46,523 --> 00:43:48,359
[Lee] Sungmin's too fast for him.
929
00:43:49,426 --> 00:43:50,628
[person] Hey!
930
00:43:50,694 --> 00:43:51,895
[Seungheon] And an overhand.
931
00:43:53,931 --> 00:43:55,599
-[bell rings]
-[referee] Stop!
932
00:43:56,100 --> 00:43:57,768
[Seungheon]
And that brings the round to a close.
933
00:43:57,835 --> 00:43:59,036
[audience cheering, applauding]
934
00:43:59,103 --> 00:44:00,604
[Lee] So he really is Tyson.
935
00:44:04,908 --> 00:44:05,909
[Jihyun] Breathe.
936
00:44:06,410 --> 00:44:08,812
[Sungmin]
From here on out, I'll just keep pressing.
937
00:44:09,647 --> 00:44:11,081
[♪ tense music playing]
938
00:44:12,750 --> 00:44:14,885
[Hyunman]
My strategy didn't seem to be working.
939
00:44:15,653 --> 00:44:18,355
If Hyunman doesn't do more,
it's not going to cut it.
940
00:44:19,356 --> 00:44:22,292
[Hyunman]
If I miss my chance here, I lose.
941
00:44:23,027 --> 00:44:25,229
So I'll do everything I can in my power
942
00:44:25,295 --> 00:44:26,530
to dominate the last round.
943
00:44:27,031 --> 00:44:29,500
What now? No game plan.
944
00:44:30,067 --> 00:44:31,301
Just do your thing.
945
00:44:32,503 --> 00:44:34,605
Do it your way this round.
946
00:44:35,272 --> 00:44:37,441
[people] Let's go!
947
00:44:37,508 --> 00:44:40,044
[Seungheon]
The final third round is coming up.
948
00:44:40,744 --> 00:44:45,115
Hong Sungmin landed more effective punches
in that last round.
949
00:44:45,182 --> 00:44:47,885
Now the question is
whether Myung Hyunman's strategy
950
00:44:47,951 --> 00:44:49,553
will land in the last round.
951
00:44:50,287 --> 00:44:52,589
-[bell rings]
-[referee] Round 3. All right, box!
952
00:44:52,656 --> 00:44:56,126
MYUNG HYUNMAN X HONG SUNGMIN
953
00:44:57,594 --> 00:44:58,829
[person 1] Let's go, Hyunman!
954
00:44:58,896 --> 00:45:00,330
[Lee] Extend your arm!
955
00:45:00,898 --> 00:45:03,167
[Hyunman] Now it's really do or die.
956
00:45:03,233 --> 00:45:04,702
I'm gonna go on instinct.
957
00:45:04,768 --> 00:45:06,036
[♪ tense music playing]
958
00:45:06,637 --> 00:45:08,572
-[Seungheon] Ooh!
-[audience gasping]
959
00:45:14,545 --> 00:45:15,979
[Lee] That's it. Hyunman's coming in.
960
00:45:16,046 --> 00:45:17,514
He's throwing the big shots now.
961
00:45:19,249 --> 00:45:21,018
[Seungheon] What a great right jab!
962
00:45:24,221 --> 00:45:25,222
[audience gasps]
963
00:45:25,289 --> 00:45:26,957
[Gyuwon]
There's serious weight behind that shot.
964
00:45:27,024 --> 00:45:29,493
Sungmin can't get careless here.
965
00:45:29,560 --> 00:45:31,829
One clean shot of that could end it.
966
00:45:31,895 --> 00:45:33,564
[audience exclaiming]
967
00:45:36,600 --> 00:45:38,402
[Gyuwon] What a display
from Myung Hyunman!
968
00:45:38,469 --> 00:45:40,070
This is turning into a fantastic fight!
969
00:45:41,371 --> 00:45:42,372
[audience gasps]
970
00:45:43,107 --> 00:45:45,042
[Sungmin]
I thought, "If this lands, I'm done."
971
00:45:48,145 --> 00:45:49,713
[audience gasping, applauding]
972
00:45:52,249 --> 00:45:53,917
[person] Man, he slips so well.
973
00:45:55,753 --> 00:45:57,187
[Dex] Wow, he's fast.
974
00:45:58,756 --> 00:45:59,757
[audience gasps]
975
00:45:59,823 --> 00:46:01,358
[Seungheon] Hong Sungmin, nice!
976
00:46:04,027 --> 00:46:06,130
Hey, nice counter!
977
00:46:09,366 --> 00:46:10,667
[audience gasps]
978
00:46:13,036 --> 00:46:14,938
-[person 1] That went in!
-[person 2] Let's go, Sungmin!
979
00:46:15,005 --> 00:46:16,540
-That landed just now!
-[person 3] Come on!
980
00:46:17,608 --> 00:46:19,109
[Jihyun] Go again! That's it!
981
00:46:19,977 --> 00:46:21,145
[person 4] Nice move!
982
00:46:21,712 --> 00:46:23,881
[Seungheon] Hong Sungmin manages
to break free from the clinch.
983
00:46:28,318 --> 00:46:29,787
[Dex] He's pouring it on.
984
00:46:33,056 --> 00:46:35,192
-[person 5] Keep at it till the end!
-[audience gasps]
985
00:46:36,927 --> 00:46:38,929
-[person 5] Keep at it till the end!
-[audience gasps]
986
00:46:40,164 --> 00:46:41,532
[person 5] Keep at it till the end!
987
00:46:43,233 --> 00:46:45,803
He dared him to throw,
but that last one must've hurt.
988
00:46:45,869 --> 00:46:47,671
-He put his guard back up.
-[chuckling]
989
00:46:47,738 --> 00:46:49,506
-That hurt more than expected.
-It hurt.
990
00:46:50,107 --> 00:46:52,543
[Hyunman] I dropped my guard
to intimidate him a little,
991
00:46:52,609 --> 00:46:54,645
but it was a bad idea.
I put it right back up.
992
00:46:58,382 --> 00:46:59,950
-[people] Hey!
-[audience gasps]
993
00:47:00,017 --> 00:47:01,018
[person 3] Nice, keep going!
994
00:47:02,619 --> 00:47:03,787
[audience gasps]
995
00:47:04,655 --> 00:47:06,290
-Oh!
-[exclaiming]
996
00:47:06,356 --> 00:47:08,091
Yes, that caught him!
997
00:47:10,127 --> 00:47:11,128
[person 1] Ten seconds!
998
00:47:15,032 --> 00:47:16,400
[person 2] He really fights like Tyson.
999
00:47:16,466 --> 00:47:18,569
[person 3]
Show us what you got! 10 seconds left!
1000
00:47:20,404 --> 00:47:22,139
[Seungheon] Look at Hong Sungmin go!
1001
00:47:22,206 --> 00:47:25,142
Hong Sungmin! Here he comes!
1002
00:47:26,143 --> 00:47:27,344
[audience gasps]
1003
00:47:29,079 --> 00:47:30,547
[audience gasps]
1004
00:47:32,883 --> 00:47:34,117
[bell rings]
1005
00:47:35,385 --> 00:47:36,753
[bell rings]
1006
00:47:37,788 --> 00:47:39,189
[audience cheering, applauding]
1007
00:47:41,792 --> 00:47:44,895
[Seungheon]
And that brings the fight to an end!
1008
00:47:47,564 --> 00:47:49,266
Well done, Hyunman.
1009
00:47:50,701 --> 00:47:54,238
All right, let me ask the audience.
Who do you think won?
1010
00:47:54,304 --> 00:47:55,639
-Hong Sungmin!

00:57:51,167 --> 00:57:55,438
Out of 90 fighters, only two remain.
1180
00:57:56,139 --> 00:58:00,276
I'll show you exactly
why I deserve to be in the finals
1181
00:58:00,343 --> 00:58:04,047
right here in this ring.
1182
00:58:06,115 --> 00:58:07,517
[person] Let's go!
1183
00:58:08,084 --> 00:58:11,120
Let me just say one thing to Lee Chaehyun.
1184
00:58:12,422 --> 00:58:15,525
Your punches looked a little light.
1185
00:58:16,626 --> 00:58:18,027
[audience gasps]
1186
00:58:18,595 --> 00:58:19,662
[person] Ouch!
1187
00:58:19,729 --> 00:58:21,664
That must've struck a nerve.
1188
00:58:21,731 --> 00:58:24,934
You're not putting me down with that.
1189
00:58:25,435 --> 00:58:28,771
I'll win by KO and take the belt.
1190
00:58:28,838 --> 00:58:30,406
[audience gasps]
1191
00:58:32,609 --> 00:58:35,712
You said my punching power's weak?
1192
00:58:35,778 --> 00:58:39,916
-Every time you blink, I land one.
-[chuckles]
1193
00:58:40,683 --> 00:58:41,885
[audience laughing]
1194
00:58:42,952 --> 00:58:44,921
So keep your eyes wide open.
1195
00:58:44,988 --> 00:58:46,055
[exclaiming]
1196
00:58:46,623 --> 00:58:49,092
-Burn!
-That is bold!
1197
00:58:49,158 --> 00:58:53,229
I'm going to light this arena up tonight.
1198
00:58:53,296 --> 00:58:56,432
So watch me go all in till the end!
1199
00:58:56,499 --> 00:58:57,800
[audience cheering, applauding]
1200
00:59:02,805 --> 00:59:06,175
I believe this fantastic matchup
1201
00:59:06,242 --> 00:59:08,378
will do the I Am Boxer finals justice.
1202
00:59:08,978 --> 00:59:10,246
This is it
1203
00:59:11,548 --> 00:59:12,916
for both fighters.
1204
00:59:13,983 --> 00:59:17,520
Leave everything you've got in the ring.
1205
00:59:17,587 --> 00:59:19,556
-[person 1] Let's go!
-[person 2] Let's go, Chaehyun!
1206
00:59:20,123 --> 00:59:21,791
[person 3] Let's go, Seungjun!
1207
00:59:22,659 --> 00:59:24,127
[Lee, Jongkook] Good luck, you two.
1208
00:59:25,261 --> 00:59:26,763
[person 1] You got this, Seungjun!
1209
00:59:26,829 --> 00:59:27,964
[person 2] Let's go, Chaehyun!
1210
00:59:28,464 --> 00:59:29,532
They look so young.
1211
00:59:29,599 --> 00:59:30,767
They must be really good.
1212
00:59:31,868 --> 00:59:35,672
Fight like everyone here is on your side,
1213
00:59:35,738 --> 00:59:37,206
because they are, okay?
1214
00:59:37,273 --> 00:59:38,775
SHIN JONGHUN
2014 ASIAN GAMES GOLD MEDALIST
1215
00:59:39,475 --> 00:59:42,745
Chaehyun,
keep it chill in the first round.
1216
00:59:42,812 --> 00:59:44,881
Remember, tap-tap, pick your shots.
1217
00:59:44,948 --> 00:59:46,449
Slip it and go, got it?
1218
00:59:48,051 --> 00:59:51,354
Since it's the finals,
let's fight with no regrets, you two.
1219
00:59:51,421 --> 00:59:52,956
-Yes, sir.
-All right, glove touch.
1220
00:59:53,022 --> 00:59:54,023
Back to your corners.
1221
00:59:57,594 --> 01:00:01,631
Sixty years ago,
Korea's first world champion,
1222
01:00:01,698 --> 01:00:05,969
Kim Kisoo, was crowned right here.
1223
01:00:06,035 --> 01:00:09,839
A new champion will be crowned here today!
1224
01:00:09,906 --> 01:00:12,342
-Let's hear it for both of them.
-[audience chanting]
1225
01:00:12,408 --> 01:00:15,144
-Lee Chaehyun! Lee Chaehyun!
-Kuk Seungjun! Kuk Seungjun!
1226
01:00:15,211 --> 01:00:20,183
[Seungheon] Which of these two fighters
will become the last survivor standing?
1227
01:00:23,086 --> 01:00:24,087
-Box!
-[bell rings]
1228
01:00:24,153 --> 01:00:25,188
LEE CHAEHYUN X KUK SEUNGJUN
1229
01:00:25,254 --> 01:00:27,256
[Seungheon] The first round
of this 10-rounder's underway!
1230
01:00:27,323 --> 01:00:29,659
Kuk Seungjun and Lee Chaehyun
collide in the center!
1231
01:00:32,095 --> 01:00:33,229
[gasps]
1232
01:00:33,296 --> 01:00:34,831
Oh. He's coming out with an early rush.
1233
01:00:37,000 --> 01:00:40,036
[Gyuwon]
Ah, Kuk Seungjun is coming in wild!
1234
01:00:42,105 --> 01:00:44,307
[Seungheon] Kuk Seungjun
opens with the body, his specialty.
1235
01:00:45,742 --> 01:00:47,343
[Seungjun] I knew Lee Chaehyun well.
1236
01:00:47,410 --> 01:00:51,314
So I knew he'd try
to read the situation first.
1237
01:00:51,381 --> 01:00:54,183
That's why I decided to apply pressure
and step right in.
1238
01:00:55,318 --> 01:00:57,487
[Seungheon] Nice body shot!
And in with the combos!
1239
01:00:57,553 --> 01:00:59,188
-That's it!
-Oh!
1240
01:01:04,427 --> 01:01:06,029
-[coach] Chaehyun, stay calm!
-[referee] Stop!
1241
01:01:06,095 --> 01:01:08,698
[Jongkook] He's good.
No need to match his pace.
1242
01:01:08,765 --> 01:01:09,766
Box!
1243
01:01:12,201 --> 01:01:16,005
[Seungheon] It's a blistering first round
between Kuk Seungjun and Lee Chaehyun.
1244
01:01:16,739 --> 01:01:18,641
[audience gasps]
1245
01:01:19,776 --> 01:01:21,210
[audience gasps]
1246
01:01:21,277 --> 01:01:22,445
-It's fine!
-Slip!
1247
01:01:22,512 --> 01:01:23,980
Chaehyun, breathe!
1248
01:01:24,047 --> 01:01:25,481
[referee] No pushing.
1249
01:01:25,548 --> 01:01:26,983
Chaehyun, stay calm!
1250
01:01:28,284 --> 01:01:29,285
[referee] Box!
1251
01:01:33,589 --> 01:01:36,826
[Chaehyun]
Seungjun was coming in really wild.
1252
01:01:38,261 --> 01:01:39,696
[person] Nice going!
1253
01:01:40,697 --> 01:01:44,400
[Chaehyun] So I figured I'd hold my ground
and counter him instead.
1254
01:01:46,102 --> 01:01:48,037
[audience gasps]
1255
01:01:48,104 --> 01:01:49,405
Hey!
1256
01:01:49,472 --> 01:01:50,907
He fired right back immediately.
1257
01:01:52,542 --> 01:01:54,944
[Gyuwon]
Kuk Seungjun is coming in wide and low.
1258
01:01:55,011 --> 01:01:58,915
And Lee Chaehyun is staying
on the defensive, looking to counter.
1259
01:01:58,981 --> 01:02:00,616
[Jonghun] It's just the first round!
1260
01:02:00,683 --> 01:02:02,118
Keep your lead hand forward!
1261
01:02:02,185 --> 01:02:04,220
[person 1] Throw with him!
1262
01:02:04,287 --> 01:02:05,555
[person 2] All right!
1263
01:02:07,757 --> 01:02:09,292
[♪ exciting music playing]
1264
01:02:10,193 --> 01:02:11,494
[audience exclaiming]
1265
01:02:14,330 --> 01:02:15,331
He's pressing hard.
1266
01:02:15,398 --> 01:02:16,866
-[person] Pushing for an early finish.
-Yeah.
1267
01:02:19,135 --> 01:02:22,438
[Gyuwon] It's a fierce battle
of tactics and physicality.
1268
01:02:22,505 --> 01:02:26,008
Both fighters are engaging in
an energy-draining close-range fight.
1269
01:02:26,075 --> 01:02:28,945
[Seungheon] This is unlike anything
we've seen from them before.
1270
01:02:29,011 --> 01:02:31,881
Both fighters are coming out hot
from the opening bell!
1271
01:02:34,917 --> 01:02:36,486
[Dex] Oh, that body shot landed clean! Oh.
1272
01:02:36,552 --> 01:02:38,955
-They keep this up, 10 round's a stretch.
-Right?
1273
01:02:39,021 --> 01:02:41,424
[coach] Chaehyun, he's coming in!
He's coming in!
1274
01:02:41,491 --> 01:02:43,593
[person 1] Fire from where you are!
That's it!
1275
01:02:45,561 --> 01:02:48,164
[audience gasps]
1276
01:02:49,999 --> 01:02:52,635
[Seungheon] There's that body shot!
Kuk pushes him back against the ropes!
1277
01:02:52,702 --> 01:02:53,870
And he comes in!
1278
01:02:55,671 --> 01:02:57,640
[♪ suspenseful music playing]
1279
01:03:05,481 --> 01:03:06,682
-You have to go now!
-[bell rings]
1280
01:03:06,749 --> 01:03:08,117
Stop!
1281
01:03:08,184 --> 01:03:10,853
[Seungheon]
That brings the first round to a close.
1282
01:03:11,454 --> 01:03:12,655
Hey, deep breaths.
1283
01:03:12,722 --> 01:03:15,892
[Gyuwon] Wow.
What a nail-biter of a first round.
1284
01:03:15,958 --> 01:03:19,395
You can feel their hunger for that belt!
1285
01:03:19,462 --> 01:03:21,864
-Let's go, Chaehyun!
-Let's go, Chaehyun!
1286
01:03:22,665 --> 01:03:24,200
Man, they're going wild in there.
1287
01:03:24,267 --> 01:03:26,469
Chaehyun's probably a little rattled.
1288
01:03:26,536 --> 01:03:28,771
He probably didn't expect Seungjun
to come out so strong.
1289
01:03:28,838 --> 01:03:31,541
Because they've fought before.
1290
01:03:31,607 --> 01:03:33,276
-They know each other's styles.
-Right.
1291
01:03:33,342 --> 01:03:35,645
He probably didn't think
he'd come out this aggressively.
1292
01:03:35,711 --> 01:03:37,013
[Jongkook] That's what it feels like.
1293
01:03:37,079 --> 01:03:38,481
You're doing so well.
1294
01:03:38,548 --> 01:03:40,683
But let's just stay a bit calmer.
1295
01:03:40,750 --> 01:03:42,785
This is just the first round, okay?
1296
01:03:43,352 --> 01:03:44,520
Feeling-out's done, yeah?
1297
01:03:45,087 --> 01:03:48,591
[Seungjun] I think I gained confidence
by winning the early momentum battle.
1298
01:03:48,658 --> 01:03:51,527
I used a lot of unconventional punches.
1299
01:03:51,594 --> 01:03:54,363
Lee Chaehyun looked really shaken by that.
1300
01:03:54,864 --> 01:03:57,266
So I thought, "My strategy's working."
1301
01:03:57,333 --> 01:03:58,901
"Let's keep it going like this."
1302
01:03:59,969 --> 01:04:01,971
[coach] No need to rush.
1303
01:04:02,038 --> 01:04:04,607
Don't hesitate like this.
If he comes in, just throw.
1304
01:04:04,674 --> 01:04:06,676
Tap-tap-tap! Just like that, okay?
1305
01:04:06,742 --> 01:04:08,311
Stick to this rhythm, okay?
1306
01:04:08,377 --> 01:04:09,979
Don't get dragged into
Seungjun's rhythm, okay?
1307
01:04:10,046 --> 01:04:11,047
-Yes.
-[whistle blows]
1308
01:04:11,113 --> 01:04:13,749
[Chaehyun]
I told myself not to get pulled into
1309
01:04:13,816 --> 01:04:15,751
Seungjun's wild attacks
and physical battles.
1310
01:04:15,818 --> 01:04:17,153
"Just do what I need to do."
1311
01:04:17,220 --> 01:04:19,622
I knew I had to crush him
in the second round.
1312
01:04:20,923 --> 01:04:22,792
[Seungheon]
Let's see how this round unfolds.
1313
01:04:22,859 --> 01:04:25,161
The second round is about to begin.
1314
01:04:25,761 --> 01:04:28,998
-Let's go, Chaehyun!
-Let's go, Chaehyun!
1315
01:04:29,065 --> 01:04:30,733
You can do this, Seungjun!
1316
01:04:32,101 --> 01:04:34,036
-[bell rings]
-[referee] All right, box!
1317
01:04:34,103 --> 01:04:35,404
[Seungheon] The second round's begun.
1318
01:04:35,471 --> 01:04:38,074
LEE CHAEHYUN X KUK SEUNGJUN
1319
01:04:39,208 --> 01:04:41,410
[Seungheon] Lee Chaehyun jabs,
not missing that open guard.
1320
01:04:41,477 --> 01:04:42,478
Oh, boy.
1321
01:04:44,647 --> 01:04:47,383
[Seungheon] Kuk's really moving
his upper body. And he lands one upstairs!
1322
01:04:47,450 --> 01:04:48,784
-Oh!
-Oh!
1323
01:04:48,851 --> 01:04:51,554
You get caught by those shots
you don't see coming.
1324
01:04:53,222 --> 01:04:55,691
[audience gasping]
1325
01:04:55,758 --> 01:04:58,861
[Gyuwon] Kuk Seungjun is definitely
making use of his reach advantage
1326
01:04:58,928 --> 01:05:01,264
to dominate the opponent,
1327
01:05:01,330 --> 01:05:04,467
making him even more dangerous
and harder to find the range on.
1328
01:05:04,533 --> 01:05:05,835
[Jongkook] Nice double combo.
1329
01:05:05,902 --> 01:05:08,237
Seungjun's not giving him
any distance at all.
1330
01:05:09,005 --> 01:05:10,439
[Chaehyun] Distance-wise,
1331
01:05:11,340 --> 01:05:13,309
it was hard to find my range.
1332
01:05:15,177 --> 01:05:17,213
-[spectator 1] Go lower!
-[spectator 2] Lower your aim!
1333
01:05:17,280 --> 01:05:21,117
[Chaehyun] He kept his arms fully extended
to maintain as much distance as possible.
1334
01:05:21,183 --> 01:05:22,485
[spectator] Don't fall back!
1335
01:05:25,021 --> 01:05:27,156
So I timed the body when he came in.
1336
01:05:27,223 --> 01:05:29,892
[Seungheon] Lee Chaehyun strikes the body
and quickly gets out.
1337
01:05:29,959 --> 01:05:31,260
[spectator] Just keep going!
1338
01:05:34,063 --> 01:05:36,599
Hey, that body shot connected!
1339
01:05:36,666 --> 01:05:38,501
-That's it!
-There you go!
1340
01:05:38,567 --> 01:05:41,003
[coach] Just fight your fight, Chaehyun!
1341
01:05:41,070 --> 01:05:43,272
[Gyuwon] Lee Chaehyun's jab
isn't just a jab.
1342
01:05:43,339 --> 01:05:45,741
It sets up his counter,
1343
01:05:45,808 --> 01:05:47,677
which is his most dangerous weapon.
1344
01:05:48,844 --> 01:05:49,979
[spectator] That's it!
1345
01:05:50,046 --> 01:05:51,347
[exclaiming]
1346
01:05:51,414 --> 01:05:52,682
Work the body!
1347
01:05:54,884 --> 01:05:56,719
[Seungheon] Kuk comes in
with upper-body movement.
1348
01:06:06,462 --> 01:06:07,563
And right on cue,
1349
01:06:07,630 --> 01:06:09,699
Lee plants a counter with a sharp left.
1350
01:06:09,765 --> 01:06:11,467
[Lee] See that?
He waits for it, then throws.
1351
01:06:11,534 --> 01:06:13,302
That means
Seungjun shouldn't swing too big.
1352
01:06:13,869 --> 01:06:16,138
-Slow down.
-[Seungjun's father] Take your time, son!
1353
01:06:16,839 --> 01:06:18,774
[coach] This is it! Work the body!
1354
01:06:19,675 --> 01:06:22,678
[Seungheon] Lee Chaehyun seems to
have gotten a read
1355
01:06:22,745 --> 01:06:26,315
on Kuk Seungjun's entry timing this round.
1356
01:06:28,718 --> 01:06:30,019
[spectator] That's it!
1357
01:06:32,955 --> 01:06:34,123
Man, that's great.
1358
01:06:34,190 --> 01:06:35,825
That counter was really good.
1359
01:06:37,293 --> 01:06:39,095
[spectator] All right!
1360
01:06:40,529 --> 01:06:42,264
-Break! Break!
-[bell dings]
1361
01:06:42,331 --> 01:06:43,699
-Stop!
-Okay.
1362
01:06:45,134 --> 01:06:47,603
[Gyuwon] Since the opening round,
1363
01:06:47,670 --> 01:06:51,640
Kuk Seungjun has been trying to dominate
1364
01:06:51,707 --> 01:06:54,176
with his wild infighting style.
1365
01:06:54,243 --> 01:06:56,178
But Lee Chaehyun is extremely composed.
1366
01:06:56,245 --> 01:06:57,980
He's not letting that happen.
1367
01:06:58,714 --> 01:07:00,149
You're doing well, Chaehyun.
1368
01:07:00,216 --> 01:07:02,151
Bam, bam. They're all landing.
1369
01:07:02,218 --> 01:07:05,087
Don't look too high.
Look toward the chest and drive it in.
1370
01:07:05,154 --> 01:07:06,589
Chaehyun is staying calm,
1371
01:07:06,655 --> 01:07:08,491
picking his shots here and there.
1372
01:07:08,557 --> 01:07:11,660
The thing is,
Seungjun's short punches aren't landing.
1373
01:07:11,727 --> 01:07:14,563
They keep sailing past Chaehyun's head.
1374
01:07:15,731 --> 01:07:18,501
Shorten your punches just a bit.
The big ones aren't landing.
1375
01:07:18,567 --> 01:07:20,770
He's watching you, and he's not tired yet.
1376
01:07:20,836 --> 01:07:21,904
So nothing's landing.
1377
01:07:21,971 --> 01:07:24,407
That's why you gotta keep it short, okay?
1378
01:07:28,177 --> 01:07:34,417
BOXING SCORE CARD
LEE: 19, KUK: 19
1379
01:07:35,351 --> 01:07:37,353
-Okay, box!
-[Seungheon] Moving into the third round.
1380
01:07:37,420 --> 01:07:39,088
LEE CHAEHYUN X KUK SEUNGJUN
1381
01:07:39,155 --> 01:07:40,689
-[spectator 1] Here he comes!
-[spectator 2] Okay, go in!
1382
01:07:40,756 --> 01:07:41,891
Keep it short!
1383
01:07:41,957 --> 01:07:44,060
[Seungheon] Kuk lands on the body,
and Lee pushes forward.
1384
01:07:46,328 --> 01:07:48,197
Kuk stays on him, targeting the body.
1385
01:07:48,264 --> 01:07:49,265
[spectator] All right!
1386
01:07:49,765 --> 01:07:53,135
[Gyuwon] This is an intense battle
of rhythm and tactics.
1387
01:07:56,272 --> 01:07:57,706
[Seungheon] Look at Chaehyun running.
1388
01:07:57,773 --> 01:08:00,609
[spectator 1] That's it! Go for it!
1389
01:08:00,676 --> 01:08:01,710
[spectator 2] There you go!
1390
01:08:04,513 --> 01:08:07,316
[Seungheon] Kuk comes in,
goes to the body, then exits.
1391
01:08:10,653 --> 01:08:12,521
Lee is inviting Kuk to come closer.
1392
01:08:13,756 --> 01:08:15,791
And Kuk Seungjun responds
without backing away.
1393
01:08:16,892 --> 01:08:17,927
They're locked in close.
1394
01:08:19,128 --> 01:08:20,930
[referee] Okay, break, break, break!
1395
01:08:21,797 --> 01:08:23,999
We're seeing
a lot of passionate exchanges here.
1396
01:08:25,234 --> 01:08:27,336
Save your energy! Save it!
1397
01:08:29,105 --> 01:08:32,708
Chaehyun probably planned
to pace himself for a typical 10-rounder.
1398
01:08:34,243 --> 01:08:38,781
But Seungjun keeps pressing,
so he has to match his pace.
1399
01:08:38,848 --> 01:08:40,816
He's coming, Chaehyun! He's coming in!
1400
01:08:48,524 --> 01:08:50,593
[Seungheon] Lee charges in,
looking to make a statement.
1401
01:08:51,460 --> 01:08:52,461
And that's it!
1402
01:08:52,528 --> 01:08:53,596
[audience gasping]
1403
01:08:56,265 --> 01:08:58,667
[Gyuwon] What a clean counter!
1404
01:08:58,734 --> 01:09:00,936
That's timing at its finest!
1405
01:09:01,770 --> 01:09:04,073
That's it! There you go!
1406
01:09:08,110 --> 01:09:09,245
-[bell dings]
-Stop!
1407
01:09:09,311 --> 01:09:11,380
And that ends the round.
1408
01:09:11,447 --> 01:09:12,448
[♪ majestic music playing]
1409
01:09:12,515 --> 01:09:14,550
[Chaehyun]
I felt like I won the third round,
1410
01:09:14,617 --> 01:09:16,318
so I let the crowd know.
1411
01:09:16,385 --> 01:09:18,521
-That I'd won the round.
-[Chaehyun's mother] You did so well!
1412
01:09:19,989 --> 01:09:21,657
He's good. He's real good.
1413
01:09:23,492 --> 01:09:25,027
[audience cheering, applauding]
1414
01:09:27,463 --> 01:09:28,497
Deep breaths!
1415
01:09:29,498 --> 01:09:31,734
Everything was good,
except getting caught at the end.
1416
01:09:31,800 --> 01:09:32,935
It's okay. Deep breaths.
1417
01:09:33,602 --> 01:09:34,670
Just keep going.
1418
01:09:35,437 --> 01:09:36,639
[Seungjun] This won't do.
1419
01:09:37,640 --> 01:09:39,508
Remember? He always jabs and slips out.
1420
01:09:39,575 --> 01:09:41,377
That's when you need to drive it in.
1421
01:09:41,443 --> 01:09:42,845
Stick to what we practiced.
1422
01:09:42,912 --> 01:09:44,880
[Seungjun] Once I get worked up,
I don't hear a thing.
1423
01:09:45,381 --> 01:09:46,849
I just block everything out.
1424
01:09:50,352 --> 01:09:55,157
BOXING SCORE CARD
LEE: 29, KUK: 28
1425
01:09:55,224 --> 01:09:57,793
-[bell dings]
-Okay, box!
1426
01:09:58,661 --> 01:09:59,828
[Seungheon] The next round begins.
1427
01:09:59,895 --> 01:10:02,298
[coach] Don't wait for it! Just go!
1428
01:10:02,998 --> 01:10:04,733
[audience exclaiming]
1429
01:10:06,669 --> 01:10:07,970
[groans]
1430
01:10:12,041 --> 01:10:14,343
-[coach] Chaehyun, he's turning it up now!
-Break, break!
1431
01:10:14,410 --> 01:10:15,744
He's coming in hard now!
1432
01:10:16,745 --> 01:10:22,017
[Gyuwon] I bet they've never had to do
this much hand fighting and clinch work.
1433
01:10:22,585 --> 01:10:23,686
[Seungheon] They're in a clinch.
1434
01:10:24,286 --> 01:10:26,422
Both fighters are throwing nonstop.
1435
01:10:27,122 --> 01:10:28,891
[Jonghoon] Keep it short, damn it!
1436
01:10:28,958 --> 01:10:30,459
[Lee] Seungjun needs to go short.
1437
01:10:30,526 --> 01:10:31,827
Break it up!
1438
01:10:32,328 --> 01:10:34,029
Too big! Make it shorter!
1439
01:10:34,096 --> 01:10:35,831
-Slow it down, son!
-Slow down.
1440
01:10:35,898 --> 01:10:37,633
Hey, no holding.
1441
01:10:38,234 --> 01:10:39,235
Slip!
1442
01:10:39,301 --> 01:10:41,403
Hey, you have to focus.
1443
01:10:42,037 --> 01:10:44,340
[Seungjun] When things started to
get heated,
1444
01:10:44,406 --> 01:10:46,275
it stopped going the way I planned.
1445
01:10:48,043 --> 01:10:49,345
Then I started to wonder,
1446
01:10:49,411 --> 01:10:52,181
"Do I keep pressing?
Or do I wait for the right timing?"
1447
01:10:53,249 --> 01:10:54,316
"Can I win this?"
1448
01:10:56,885 --> 01:11:00,556
[Seungheon] Once again, Lee holds
the center, and Kuk needs to move in.
1449
01:11:01,490 --> 01:11:06,295
But I constantly tried not to let
those thoughts take over.
1450
01:11:06,962 --> 01:11:09,465
[♪ thrilling music playing]
1451
01:11:10,032 --> 01:11:12,301
"I can win. I can do this."
1452
01:11:19,742 --> 01:11:21,377
[audience exclaiming]
1453
01:11:22,878 --> 01:11:25,481
-Oh! That landed!
-[Dex] His head popped up!
1454
01:11:28,350 --> 01:11:29,618
"That landed."
1455
01:11:29,685 --> 01:11:31,553
"Time to bring it back to my pace."
1456
01:11:34,290 --> 01:11:36,825
[Seungheon] Kuk Seungjun's punches
are starting to get through here.
1457
01:11:37,926 --> 01:11:41,230
-He's getting clipped!
-Chaehyun's vulnerable on the pullback.
1458
01:11:41,297 --> 01:11:42,998
Seungjun's doing well this round.
1459
01:11:43,065 --> 01:11:47,336
[Gyuwon] Those unconventional attacks are
creating that one percent chance.
1460
01:11:47,403 --> 01:11:49,571
LEE CHAEHYUN X KUK SEUNGJUN
1461
01:11:49,638 --> 01:11:51,573
-Let's go, Chaehyun!
-Let's go, Chaehyun!
1462
01:11:51,640 --> 01:11:53,709
[Seungjun's sister] That's it!
Keep it up, Seungjun!
1463
01:11:57,279 --> 01:11:58,947
-[bell dings]
-Stop! Stop, stop!
1464
01:11:59,014 --> 01:12:02,351
[Gyuwon] And the round comes to an end.
1465
01:12:03,218 --> 01:12:05,054
Man, that's intense.
1466
01:12:05,554 --> 01:12:06,889
This is the finals, all right.
1467
01:12:06,955 --> 01:12:08,957
-Chaehyun's usually hard to touch.
-[Lee] Totally.
1468
01:12:09,024 --> 01:12:10,759
[Dex] Will it be Chaehyun's timing
and control?
1469
01:12:11,927 --> 01:12:13,462
Or Seungjun's all-out pressure?
1470
01:12:14,897 --> 01:12:17,032
-Round 5 is where it really begins.
-That's right.
1471
01:12:17,599 --> 01:12:19,902
[coach] Chaehyun, don't get greedy, okay?
1472
01:12:19,968 --> 01:12:21,637
You can take it easy.
1473
01:12:21,704 --> 01:12:22,971
Fight with confidence.
1474
01:12:23,038 --> 01:12:24,139
[♪ heavy music playing]
1475
01:12:24,206 --> 01:12:25,708
Let's go, Chaehyun!
1476
01:12:27,443 --> 01:12:29,611
[Chaehyun] I felt I got pushed back
a bit in Round 4,
1477
01:12:29,678 --> 01:12:31,447
so I knew I had to win the next one.
1478
01:12:31,947 --> 01:12:33,949
[Seungjun] From here on out,
I have to take all the rounds.
1479
01:12:34,516 --> 01:12:35,818
I have to keep winning.
1480
01:12:37,119 --> 01:12:39,054
-[bell dings]
-[Seungheon] The fifth round has begun.
1481
01:12:39,121 --> 01:12:42,157
-Box!
-[Gyuwon] This round's where it gets real.
1482
01:12:44,293 --> 01:12:46,028
When they're feinting their way in,
1483
01:12:46,095 --> 01:12:49,198
it's about who breaks the rhythm first.
1484
01:12:49,264 --> 01:12:51,200
-Break, break!
-[Dex] Clinching really drains you.
1485
01:12:51,266 --> 01:12:52,534
It's pretty exhausting.
1486
01:12:52,601 --> 01:12:54,403
It must feel brutal right now.
1487
01:12:54,470 --> 01:12:56,238
[coach] Okay, plant your feet and fire!
1488
01:12:56,872 --> 01:12:58,273
[Seungheon] Lee Chaehyun steps in
this time.
1489
01:12:59,108 --> 01:13:01,176
Sticking to the stick-and-move tactic.
1490
01:13:03,746 --> 01:13:05,614
As Lee backs out, Kuk closes back in.
1491
01:13:05,681 --> 01:13:06,949
[Jongkook] Throw back right away.
1492
01:13:08,717 --> 01:13:10,619
All right!
1493
01:13:10,686 --> 01:13:12,588
It's like watching a KNSF fight.
1494
01:13:15,858 --> 01:13:17,126
All right!
1495
01:13:17,192 --> 01:13:19,161
[coach] Pull your head out to the right!
1496
01:13:21,630 --> 01:13:22,931
[Lee] Hey…
1497
01:13:22,998 --> 01:13:24,400
Careful.
1498
01:13:24,466 --> 01:13:26,835
He keeps ramming his head in.
1499
01:13:26,902 --> 01:13:29,872
-Heads are getting dangerously close.
-Right.
1500
01:13:29,938 --> 01:13:32,007
That's not Chaehyun's normal style.
1501
01:13:37,146 --> 01:13:39,281
[Gyuwon] Kuk was setting up
this body shot!
1502
01:13:40,682 --> 01:13:41,683
[Dex] Nice body shot!
1503
01:13:41,750 --> 01:13:43,218
[Jongkook] He's starting
to work the body now.
1504
01:13:44,052 --> 01:13:45,721
[Lee] All right, careful now.
1505
01:13:50,526 --> 01:13:51,593
Huh?
1506
01:13:51,660 --> 01:13:52,928
Wait, hold on!
1507
01:13:53,662 --> 01:13:55,164
Hold on!
1508
01:13:55,230 --> 01:13:56,231
[exclaims]
1509
01:13:59,601 --> 01:14:00,869
Okay, stop, stop!
1510
01:14:00,936 --> 01:14:02,404
[Jongkook] Is there a cut? A loose tooth?
1511
01:14:03,071 --> 01:14:04,072
Is there a cut?
1512
01:14:04,139 --> 01:14:05,774
[Seungheon] There's a bit of a cut.
1513
01:14:05,841 --> 01:14:06,842
[referee] Time.
1514
01:14:06,909 --> 01:14:08,477
[Seungheon] This could change the game.
1515
01:14:09,411 --> 01:14:10,979
Boy, they headbutted.
1516
01:14:13,048 --> 01:14:15,384
That looks so painful. Oh, dear.
1517
01:14:15,451 --> 01:14:17,152
[coach] Ugh, damn it.
1518
01:14:19,688 --> 01:14:21,123
[Seungheon]
The doctor's examining the cut.
1519
01:14:21,190 --> 01:14:23,358
[Gyuwon] I hope it's not a serious injury.
1520
01:14:24,560 --> 01:14:26,662
We need to see how deep that cut is.
1521
01:14:26,728 --> 01:14:28,430
Their heads were just too close.
1522
01:14:28,497 --> 01:14:30,699
They kept ramming
their heads in like this.
1523
01:14:30,766 --> 01:14:32,167
[spectator] Stay strong, Chaehyun!
1524
01:14:32,234 --> 01:14:34,636
[Gyuwon] They've been fighting so roughly.
1525
01:14:35,437 --> 01:14:38,841
This kind of injury was bound to happen.
1526
01:14:39,408 --> 01:14:41,276
-I think the bleeding's stopping.
-Ah!
1527
01:14:43,045 --> 01:14:46,148
I took a shot, then as Seungjun rushed in,
1528
01:14:47,282 --> 01:14:49,885
I tried to answer back the same way.
1529
01:14:50,385 --> 01:14:52,654
I got heated,
and that's when the headbutt happened.
1530
01:14:54,223 --> 01:14:57,059
And when I got cut, I felt it immediately.
1531
01:14:58,160 --> 01:14:59,328
I was shocked.
1532
01:15:03,966 --> 01:15:05,901
It didn't sit well with me.
1533
01:15:08,237 --> 01:15:10,472
Seungjun had a cut recently too.
1534
01:15:12,074 --> 01:15:13,642
It breaks every mother's heart.
1535
01:15:14,176 --> 01:15:16,445
-Chaehyun's mom must be heartbroken.
-Right.
1536
01:15:17,513 --> 01:15:19,548
The bleeding seems to have stopped.
1537
01:15:20,148 --> 01:15:21,984
-How are you feeling, Chaehyun?
-I can go on.
1538
01:15:22,050 --> 01:15:23,452
You think so? All right.
1539
01:15:23,519 --> 01:15:26,889
[Chaehyun] Cut or not,
I just hoped they don't stop the fight.
1540
01:15:27,389 --> 01:15:29,191
[applause, cheering]
1541
01:15:30,125 --> 01:15:32,361
[Lee] He seems okay for now,
1542
01:15:32,928 --> 01:15:35,130
but we need to see if that cut opens up.
1543
01:15:35,831 --> 01:15:40,135
-Lee Chaehyun! Lee Chaehyun!
-Lee Chaehyun! Lee Chaehyun!
1544
01:15:40,202 --> 01:15:43,071
Can the fight continue
even if there's a bleeding?
1545
01:15:43,138 --> 01:15:45,574
[Jongkook] Yes, but if it's too much,
it gets stopped.
1546
01:15:46,875 --> 01:15:48,243
[Seungheon] Looks like we're resuming.
1547
01:15:49,411 --> 01:15:53,181
[Gyuwon] Lee Chaehyun has
incredible grit and will.
1548
01:15:58,086 --> 01:15:59,087
Box!
1549
01:15:59,588 --> 01:16:00,789
[Seungheon] The fight resumes.
1550
01:16:01,490 --> 01:16:02,758
Lee Chaehyun proceeds carefully.
1551
01:16:04,092 --> 01:16:07,863
If the cut worsens,
the fight could be stopped.
1552
01:16:08,730 --> 01:16:09,731
[Lee] Yes, that's it.
1553
01:16:09,798 --> 01:16:11,733
You've gotta rip, then get out.
1554
01:16:17,005 --> 01:16:18,740
Careful now. Let's keep going.
1555
01:16:24,346 --> 01:16:26,348
LEE CHAEHYUN X KUK SEUNGJUN
1556
01:16:28,550 --> 01:16:31,453
[Seungheon] As Kuk steps in,
Lee lands a big shot to the face!
1557
01:16:33,889 --> 01:16:35,691
[audience exclaims]
1558
01:16:39,428 --> 01:16:40,796
-[bell dings]
-Stop!
1559
01:16:40,862 --> 01:16:44,800
And just like that!
The fifth round has ended.
1560
01:16:46,835 --> 01:16:48,770
[Gyuwon] This could be a major factor
1561
01:16:48,837 --> 01:16:51,106
that might shift the entire flow.
1562
01:16:57,212 --> 01:16:58,213
You okay?
1563
01:16:59,915 --> 01:17:02,050
[Seungheon] The cut is in a tricky spot,
1564
01:17:02,117 --> 01:17:05,053
so there's a good chance
it could interfere with his vision.
1565
01:17:05,921 --> 01:17:08,190
[panting]
1566
01:17:14,630 --> 01:17:18,266
BOXING SCORE CARD
LEE: 48, KUK: 47
1567
01:17:18,333 --> 01:17:21,837
-Lee Chaehyun! Lee Chaehyun!
-Lee Chaehyun! Lee Chaehyun!
1568
01:17:21,903 --> 01:17:26,775
-Lee Chaehyun! Lee Chaehyun!
-Lee Chaehyun! Lee Chaehyun!
1569
01:17:26,842 --> 01:17:29,177
-Lee Chaehyun! Lee Chaehyun!
-Lee Chaehyun! Lee Chaehyun!
1570
01:17:29,244 --> 01:17:30,746
Breathe. It's fine.
1571
01:17:31,713 --> 01:17:33,382
Don't let it get to you.
1572
01:17:35,517 --> 01:17:37,986
[Seungjun] I thought it was admirable
1573
01:17:38,053 --> 01:17:39,154
that he decided to go on.
1574
01:17:41,056 --> 01:17:42,791
I respected him for that.
1575
01:17:42,858 --> 01:17:44,459
From a sportsmanship standpoint,
1576
01:17:45,427 --> 01:17:49,264
I felt it was only right
to meet him head-on.
1577
01:17:49,331 --> 01:17:51,733
Protect your head.
You can't afford to bleed now.
1578
01:17:52,467 --> 01:17:54,069
[Chaehyun] Just because I'm cut
1579
01:17:54,636 --> 01:17:57,172
doesn't mean Seungjun's going
to go easy on me.
1580
01:17:57,239 --> 01:17:59,675
I had to win the next rounds,
no matter what.
1581
01:17:59,741 --> 01:18:01,710
So I kept praying it wouldn't be stopped.
1582
01:18:01,777 --> 01:18:03,578
-[bell dings]
-All right, box!
1583
01:18:03,645 --> 01:18:06,748
[Seungheon] And now, it's the sixth round.
1584
01:18:06,815 --> 01:18:09,851
LEE CHAEHYUN X KUK SEUNGJUN
1585
01:18:09,918 --> 01:18:11,420
[cheering]
1586
01:18:11,486 --> 01:18:14,356
Beautiful combinations from both fighters!
1587
01:18:14,423 --> 01:18:16,491
[♪ intense music playing]
1588
01:18:16,558 --> 01:18:18,660
Let's go, Chaehyun!
1589
01:18:21,663 --> 01:18:24,032
[coach] Chaehyun, protect your head!
1590
01:18:28,070 --> 01:18:29,137
Man, this is tough.
1591
01:18:38,346 --> 01:18:39,848
[Seungheon] It's the left hand this time!
1592
01:18:39,915 --> 01:18:41,083
Lee Chaehyun steps in!
1593
01:18:41,149 --> 01:18:42,451
And keeps charging forward!
1594
01:18:43,418 --> 01:18:44,486
[Jongkook] This is tough.
1595
01:18:44,553 --> 01:18:46,121
When you come in wild like that,
1596
01:18:46,188 --> 01:18:47,923
-you have to answer him.
-Right.
1597
01:18:47,989 --> 01:18:49,191
Break it up!
1598
01:18:50,659 --> 01:18:52,627
[Seungheon] There's still
a bit of bleeding there.
1599
01:18:54,629 --> 01:18:55,831
[coach] Stay sharp!
1600
01:18:56,698 --> 01:18:59,101
[Seungheon] He can't help
but be conscious of his left eye.
1601
01:19:01,403 --> 01:19:03,805
[Lee] With the blood,
his vision looks a bit compromised.
1602
01:19:07,042 --> 01:19:09,578
[Chaehyun] Because of the cut,
I was bleeding quite a bit.
1603
01:19:10,078 --> 01:19:11,813
And it kept getting in my left eye.
1604
01:19:15,183 --> 01:19:16,551
Oh, no.
1605
01:19:18,086 --> 01:19:20,188
[Seungheon]
With the blood impairing his left eye,
1606
01:19:20,255 --> 01:19:22,257
the distance game gets tricky.
1607
01:19:28,663 --> 01:19:30,065
[Chaehyun] My mind was racing.
1608
01:19:30,132 --> 01:19:31,433
I needed to win,
1609
01:19:32,234 --> 01:19:35,403
but the cut was impossible to ignore
with all the bleeding.
1610
01:19:36,004 --> 01:19:38,440
I was completely overwhelmed.
1611
01:19:46,214 --> 01:19:47,616
Okay, slip!
1612
01:19:50,652 --> 01:19:52,821
But even though the cut kept bleeding,
1613
01:19:53,522 --> 01:19:56,491
I really just wanted to win.
1614
01:19:57,626 --> 01:19:58,627
Box!
1615
01:19:58,693 --> 01:20:03,031
So I told myself, "If I want to win,
I can't be worrying about this."
1616
01:20:03,098 --> 01:20:05,100
"Just focus on what I need to do."
1617
01:20:05,667 --> 01:20:07,235
So I charged forward with all I had.
1618
01:20:08,036 --> 01:20:10,505
[Gyuwon] This has got to be
taking a toll on him mentally,
1619
01:20:10,572 --> 01:20:13,875
but Lee Chaehyun isn't showing it one bit.
1620
01:20:13,942 --> 01:20:15,710
Hang in there, Chaehyun!
1621
01:20:22,784 --> 01:20:23,985
[exclaiming]
1622
01:20:24,052 --> 01:20:25,220
Hey!
1623
01:20:26,621 --> 01:20:27,622
[Seungheon] They're trading now!
1624
01:20:27,689 --> 01:20:31,026
Kuk is coming forward
like there's nothing to think about.
1625
01:20:35,096 --> 01:20:36,264
-[bell dings]
-Stop!
1626
01:20:36,331 --> 01:20:39,167
And with that,
the sixth round comes to an end.
1627
01:20:39,234 --> 01:20:41,236
[audience cheering, applauding]
1628
01:20:44,606 --> 01:20:46,708
[Gyuwon] What these two fighters
are demonstrating
1629
01:20:47,209 --> 01:20:49,578
isn't just the art of boxing.
1630
01:20:50,345 --> 01:20:52,113
It's the art of sheer willpower.
1631
01:20:53,715 --> 01:20:57,152
-Chaehyun. Get me some ice!
-It's now Round 7,
1632
01:20:57,219 --> 01:20:58,920
so recovery is absolutely crucial.
1633
01:20:58,987 --> 01:21:02,924
-Lee Chaehyun! Lee Chaehyun!
-Lee Chaehyun! Lee Chaehyun!
1634
01:21:02,991 --> 01:21:04,292
Let's call over the doctor.
1635
01:21:05,260 --> 01:21:08,063
The headbutt is the problem.
1636
01:21:08,797 --> 01:21:10,498
[Dex] It looks pretty serious.
1637
01:21:11,032 --> 01:21:12,400
[spectator 1] You got this, Chaehyun!
1638
01:21:15,237 --> 01:21:17,873
-We can't let this go on much longer.
-[spectator 2] Let's go, Chaehyun!
1639
01:21:19,808 --> 01:21:23,345
[Lee] This was originally scheduled
as a 10-round fight,
1640
01:21:23,411 --> 01:21:27,682
but due to the significant cut
on Lee Chaehyun's eye,
1641
01:21:27,749 --> 01:21:32,354
we'll go to the scorecards
after the seventh round.
1642
01:21:32,420 --> 01:21:34,389
This round will be the last one.
1643
01:21:35,023 --> 01:21:37,893
[Chaehyun] If I win this match,
I become the champion.
1644
01:21:38,560 --> 01:21:40,428
So I'm going to give it my all.
1645
01:21:41,997 --> 01:21:43,231
Oh, Chaehyun…
1646
01:21:46,568 --> 01:21:48,270
[Chaehyun]
I really want to become champion.
1647
01:21:51,339 --> 01:21:52,874
[Seungjun] This is the final round.
1648
01:21:52,941 --> 01:21:56,077
I won't let this fight
leave me with any regrets.
1649
01:22:00,215 --> 01:22:02,817
Father, I'll bring back the win!
1650
01:22:04,352 --> 01:22:05,353
Sounds good!
1651
01:22:06,354 --> 01:22:07,489
[Seungjun] I have to win.
1652
01:22:07,555 --> 01:22:08,823
I have to win no matter what.
1653
01:22:08,890 --> 01:22:12,794
I want to win
that champion belt for my parents.
1654
01:22:14,562 --> 01:22:17,399
[Seungheon] Who will become the winner
of the 300-million-won prize money?
1655
01:22:17,465 --> 01:22:19,334
Who will walk away with the belt?
1656
01:22:29,811 --> 01:22:30,812
[bell dings]
1657
01:22:30,879 --> 01:22:31,880
LEE CHAEHYUN X KUK SEUNGJUN
1658
01:22:31,947 --> 01:22:33,481
The final round has begun!
1659
01:22:33,548 --> 01:22:34,549
Box!
1660
01:22:35,050 --> 01:22:36,351
[Jongkook] Let's hear it for them!
1661
01:22:36,418 --> 01:22:37,852
[audience cheering]
1662
01:22:37,919 --> 01:22:39,287
[Seungheon] They're swinging for it now!
1663
01:22:39,354 --> 01:22:42,290
[Gyuwon] We're seeing an intense exchange
of combinations right now.
1664
01:22:42,357 --> 01:22:45,093
Lee attempts to take away Kuk's space.
1665
01:22:45,160 --> 01:22:47,729
And Kuk is looking to overwhelm him!
1666
01:22:50,298 --> 01:22:52,300
[♪ intense music playing]
1667
01:22:58,273 --> 01:23:01,276
-Lee Chaehyun!
-Kuk Seungjun!
1668
01:23:01,910 --> 01:23:06,614
[Seungheon] Both fighters are throwing
with pure determination now!
1669
01:23:10,318 --> 01:23:11,486
Kuk closes in, swaying!
1670
01:23:11,553 --> 01:23:12,921
And Lee fires right back!
1671
01:23:13,755 --> 01:23:17,058
[Chaehyun] As Seungjun's movements
got bigger, I started to see my timing.
1672
01:23:17,125 --> 01:23:19,594
So I decided to answer back
with proper counters.
1673
01:23:19,661 --> 01:23:22,263
That's it. That was really good.
1674
01:23:29,037 --> 01:23:30,338
[Lee] Slip and rip!
1675
01:23:30,405 --> 01:23:32,073
Strike when he extends!
1676
01:23:32,140 --> 01:23:33,908
[Seungheon] Ooh! Sharp shot lands
right to the face!
1677
01:23:33,975 --> 01:23:36,211
[coach] Chaehyun, eyes on the chest!
1678
01:23:36,277 --> 01:23:37,479
The chest!
1679
01:23:38,246 --> 01:23:39,581
That's it!
1680
01:23:41,616 --> 01:23:42,751
[Seungheon] Kuk works the body.
1681
01:23:44,519 --> 01:23:45,787
Another one to the body!
1682
01:23:45,854 --> 01:23:47,589
That body shot landed clean.
1683
01:23:48,923 --> 01:23:50,158
[Dex] Solid body shot there.
1684
01:23:52,060 --> 01:23:53,795
[Seungjun] When my body shot got through,
1685
01:23:53,862 --> 01:23:56,131
I could see him starting to tighten up.
1686
01:23:59,200 --> 01:24:00,535
Whoa!
1687
01:24:00,602 --> 01:24:02,737
I figured I'd drop him with a body shot.
1688
01:24:02,804 --> 01:24:04,639
[coach] Pour it out! You've gotta go in!
1689
01:24:04,706 --> 01:24:05,840
[Seungheon] Kuk goes into the body!
1690
01:24:05,907 --> 01:24:07,208
Lee stops him with a clinch!
1691
01:24:07,275 --> 01:24:08,309
Break! Break!
1692
01:24:08,376 --> 01:24:10,011
[Seungheon] Never seen
Chaehyun struggle so much.
1693
01:24:12,714 --> 01:24:15,216
Throw back! You have to throw back!
1694
01:24:15,817 --> 01:24:19,554
Both fighters are squeezing out
every last ounce of strength!
1695
01:24:20,622 --> 01:24:22,123
-Break!
-[coach] Almost done!
1696
01:24:22,190 --> 01:24:23,191
Last round!
1697
01:24:25,026 --> 01:24:27,695
-Let's go, Chaehyun!
-Hang in there, Chaehyun!
1698
01:24:28,396 --> 01:24:30,498
Stay strong, Seungjun!
1699
01:24:30,565 --> 01:24:32,067
[Jongkook] One minute left!
1700
01:24:32,133 --> 01:24:37,872
-Lee Chaehyun! Lee Chaehyun!
-Kuk Seungjun! Kuk Seungjun!
1701
01:24:38,440 --> 01:24:39,707
[Seungheon] Kuk moves in.
1702
01:24:44,379 --> 01:24:45,780
This is it!
1703
01:24:45,847 --> 01:24:46,981
[Seungheon] Body shot again!
1704
01:24:47,048 --> 01:24:48,983
Lee Chaehyun lands a left to Kuk's face!
1705
01:24:50,085 --> 01:24:52,087
Kuk Seungjun fires the left hand again!
1706
01:24:55,023 --> 01:24:57,158
-Oh!
-[exclaiming]
1707
01:24:58,126 --> 01:25:00,762
[Gyuwon] The battle for space
is absolutely fierce right now!
1708
01:25:00,829 --> 01:25:02,964
Both are measuring the opening
1709
01:25:03,031 --> 01:25:05,266
to try and knock each other down.
1710
01:25:08,670 --> 01:25:10,572
Go, go! You have to get him!
1711
01:25:11,139 --> 01:25:12,640
Kuk lands one this time!
1712
01:25:13,274 --> 01:25:14,542
A stick-and-move from Lee!
1713
01:25:16,111 --> 01:25:17,879
-[bell dings]
-And with that!
1714
01:25:20,582 --> 01:25:21,916
The fight has ended!
1715
01:25:32,393 --> 01:25:33,928
You fought well!
1716
01:25:40,201 --> 01:25:43,638
[Lee] Both fighters
truly left it all in the ring.
1717
01:25:50,745 --> 01:25:52,247
Sorry.
1718
01:25:53,281 --> 01:25:54,616
Back to your positions.
1719
01:25:56,017 --> 01:25:57,085
Awesome fight!
1720
01:25:57,152 --> 01:25:58,753
This was originally a 10-round bout,
1721
01:25:58,820 --> 01:26:00,355
but in the interest of fighter safety,
1722
01:26:00,855 --> 01:26:02,624
the judges will render a fair decision
1723
01:26:03,424 --> 01:26:06,761
based on the first seven rounds.
1724
01:26:06,828 --> 01:26:09,564
Both fighters, great job.
1725
01:26:11,199 --> 01:26:13,268
You fought hard. For real.
1726
01:26:13,334 --> 01:26:14,335
Goodness.
1727
01:26:14,402 --> 01:26:16,237
You looked incredible up there.
1728
01:26:16,304 --> 01:26:17,305
You were the best.
1729
01:26:18,473 --> 01:26:19,741
Does your head hurt?
1730
01:26:19,807 --> 01:26:22,677
It's all good. You worked hard enough.
1731
01:26:24,746 --> 01:26:27,448
I thought, "Who's it going to be?"
1732
01:26:27,949 --> 01:26:29,651
I really couldn't tell who'd win.
1733
01:26:31,586 --> 01:26:33,988
I just kept praying, "Please let me win."
1734
01:26:36,691 --> 01:26:37,859
[exhales sharply]
1735
01:26:38,960 --> 01:26:42,797
[Chaehyun] Even thinking back on it,
it felt like a razor-thin fight.
1736
01:26:42,864 --> 01:26:44,666
Waiting in the locker room,
1737
01:26:45,400 --> 01:26:47,001
I was incredibly nervous.
1738
01:26:47,602 --> 01:26:50,605
[♪ suspenseful music playing]
1739
01:26:58,713 --> 01:27:00,648
[Lee]
The blockbuster boxing survival show.
1740
01:27:00,715 --> 01:27:01,816
I Am Boxer.
1741
01:27:02,317 --> 01:27:03,318
All that remains now
1742
01:27:03,985 --> 01:27:07,021
is the final winner announcement.
1743
01:27:17,031 --> 01:27:20,201
[Jongkook] The decision was rendered by
1744
01:27:20,268 --> 01:27:22,270
three of Korea's top judges.
1745
01:27:24,772 --> 01:27:28,243
[Dex] The championship belt,
top-of-the-line flagship SUV, and…
1746
01:27:29,510 --> 01:27:32,113
a grand prize of 300 million won
1747
01:27:33,481 --> 01:27:36,684
will go to the winner of I Am Boxer.
1748
01:27:39,254 --> 01:27:42,090
We will now announce the results
1749
01:27:42,824 --> 01:27:44,025
of the final match.
1750
01:27:44,659 --> 01:27:47,128
[Seungjun] Man, I'm losing my mind.
What do I do?
1751
01:27:47,195 --> 01:27:48,496
My heart's about to explode.
1752
01:27:49,864 --> 01:27:52,100
[Chaehyun] "Please, please…"
1753
01:27:52,166 --> 01:27:54,269
That's all that was going through my head.
1754
01:27:55,136 --> 01:27:57,572
Judge one scores the bout…
1755
01:27:59,340 --> 01:28:02,677
67 to 66…
1756
01:28:08,316 --> 01:28:09,417
for Kuk Seungjun.
1757
01:28:09,484 --> 01:28:13,221
JUDGE 1
BLUE CORNER KUK SEUNGJUN WINS
1758
01:28:21,062 --> 01:28:23,298
[Seungjun] I was anxious the whole time,
1759
01:28:23,364 --> 01:28:26,467
but that gave me a bit of hope
that I could actually win this.
1760
01:28:26,534 --> 01:28:29,270
Judge two scores the bout
1761
01:28:30,905 --> 01:28:32,807
68 to 65…
1762
01:28:38,146 --> 01:28:40,014
for Lee Chaehyun.
1763
01:28:40,081 --> 01:28:44,352
JUDGE 2
RED CORNER LEE CHAEHYUN WINS
1764
01:28:45,586 --> 01:28:47,155
[Chaehyun] I was like, "Please, please…"
1765
01:28:47,221 --> 01:28:49,590
"Please let the second judge
score it for me."
1766
01:28:56,397 --> 01:28:58,466
I was insanely nervous.
1767
01:28:59,233 --> 01:29:03,271
Lastly, Judge three scores the bout…
1768
01:29:03,871 --> 01:29:08,509
[Seungjun] I kept screaming
inside my head, "Please call my name."
1769
01:29:09,243 --> 01:29:12,814
[Chaehyun] Since the winner's decided
by the third judge,
1770
01:29:12,880 --> 01:29:16,584
I just closed my eyes
and waited for the result.
1771
01:29:22,357 --> 01:29:24,025
[Jongkook] Judge three scores the bout…
1772
01:29:28,262 --> 01:29:30,598
67 to 66…
1773
01:29:44,278 --> 01:29:45,546
for Kuk Seungjun.
1774
01:29:45,613 --> 01:29:49,350
JUDGE 3
BLUE CORNER KUK SEUNGJUN WINS
1775
01:29:49,417 --> 01:29:51,419
[♪ hopeful music playing]
1776
01:29:59,794 --> 01:30:02,864
The blockbuster boxing survival show,
I Am Boxer!
1777
01:30:02,930 --> 01:30:04,432
By judges' decision,
1778
01:30:05,967 --> 01:30:08,269
the champion is…
1779
01:30:11,372 --> 01:30:12,974
Kuk Seungjun!
1780
01:30:13,040 --> 01:30:18,780
I AM BOXER
CHAMPION: KUK SEUNGJUN
1781
01:30:36,898 --> 01:30:38,399
Well done, Son.
1782
01:30:46,641 --> 01:30:50,344
Now, Master Don Lee will present
1783
01:30:50,411 --> 01:30:52,380
the championship belt to Kuk Seungjun.
1784
01:30:53,481 --> 01:30:55,116
Give it up for our champion.
1785
01:31:03,991 --> 01:31:05,760
You did great, my boy.
1786
01:31:07,395 --> 01:31:09,564
-Gosh, he did good.
-You were amazing.
1787
01:31:14,769 --> 01:31:16,471
I did it!
1788
01:31:25,980 --> 01:31:27,348
You did awesome.
1789
01:31:27,415 --> 01:31:28,850
You did so well.
1790
01:31:31,686 --> 01:31:33,087
Well done, Chaehyun!
1791
01:31:34,088 --> 01:31:35,990
-You did great, Chaehyun!
-Well fought!
1792
01:31:36,958 --> 01:31:39,827
-You put up a good fight, Chaehyun!
-You did great!
1793
01:31:45,733 --> 01:31:49,937
Now let's hear from Kuk Seungjun,
1794
01:31:50,004 --> 01:31:51,873
the champion of I Am Boxer.
1795
01:31:54,742 --> 01:31:56,711
Ever since I was a kid,
1796
01:31:57,478 --> 01:32:01,315
my father and I shared a dream.
1797
01:32:03,484 --> 01:32:04,919
The dream of becoming a champion.
1798
01:32:06,320 --> 01:32:07,955
Standing here today as champion…
1799
01:32:09,357 --> 01:32:13,027
I feel incredibly happy and overwhelmed.
1800
01:32:13,861 --> 01:32:19,133
I'd like to dedicate this belt
to my parents.
1801
01:32:20,668 --> 01:32:22,670
[♪ gentle music playing]
1802
01:32:23,404 --> 01:32:26,207
Our family has gone through a lot.
1803
01:32:27,308 --> 01:32:31,379
Honestly, we were once at a point
where we were talking about
1804
01:32:31,445 --> 01:32:33,948
giving up on everything.
1805
01:32:35,182 --> 01:32:36,684
But after I started boxing,
1806
01:32:37,518 --> 01:32:40,054
that kind of talk just disappeared.
1807
01:32:40,121 --> 01:32:41,522
Honestly, it was incredible.
1808
01:32:42,857 --> 01:32:43,958
So naturally,
1809
01:32:44,926 --> 01:32:47,929
I truly fell in love with boxing.
1810
01:32:49,463 --> 01:32:53,034
Now let's also hear from Lee Chaehyun,
1811
01:32:53,100 --> 01:32:55,336
who put up an incredible fight.
1812
01:32:56,437 --> 01:33:01,208
Of course,
it's disappointing that I didn't win.
1813
01:33:02,143 --> 01:33:07,181
But I believe the biggest reason
I'm standing here today is
1814
01:33:07,248 --> 01:33:11,018
because I stayed consistent
and kept working hard.
1815
01:33:12,153 --> 01:33:14,655
Even if boxers across the country
1816
01:33:14,722 --> 01:33:17,091
don't always get the results
they hope for,
1817
01:33:17,158 --> 01:33:20,394
I hope they keep going
steadily and sincerely.
1818
01:33:20,895 --> 01:33:26,167
And to my family,
who's supported me every step of the way,
1819
01:33:27,034 --> 01:33:28,035
I love you.
1820
01:33:32,473 --> 01:33:33,708
And lastly,
1821
01:33:34,475 --> 01:33:37,945
even in my next life,
I'd still choose boxing.
1822
01:33:39,981 --> 01:33:43,184
The blockbuster boxing survival show,
I Am Boxer.
1823
01:33:43,918 --> 01:33:46,887
We have come to the end
of its long journey.
1824
01:33:47,588 --> 01:33:52,493
To the fighters who will lead the future
of Korean boxing,
1825
01:33:52,560 --> 01:33:54,428
let's give them a big round of applause!
1826
01:33:56,697 --> 01:33:59,066
-Thank you!
-Thank you!
1827
01:33:59,934 --> 01:34:01,202
Great work, everyone.
1828
01:34:09,176 --> 01:34:10,811
-You fought well.
-You too.
1829
01:34:10,878 --> 01:34:11,879
Thanks.
1830
01:34:12,680 --> 01:34:14,115
All right.
1831
01:34:20,921 --> 01:34:23,491
[Seungjun] Boxing was my salvation.
1832
01:34:24,191 --> 01:34:26,527
[Chaehyun] Boxing means everything to me.
1833
01:34:26,594 --> 01:34:27,828
It's my life.
1834
01:34:28,729 --> 01:34:30,598
[Hyeongbin] It feels like
two lives colliding.
1835
01:34:30,665 --> 01:34:33,467
That's the feeling I get with boxing.
1836
01:34:34,301 --> 01:34:38,673
Through boxing,
I learned patience and perseverance,
1837
01:34:38,739 --> 01:34:41,042
and I grew a lot as a person.
1838
01:34:41,108 --> 01:34:43,611
Boxing is like my lifelong companion.
1839
01:34:43,678 --> 01:34:48,416
In times when I felt lost,
boxing was what saved me.
1840
01:34:48,482 --> 01:34:50,918
To me, boxing is
1841
01:34:50,985 --> 01:34:53,054
almost like a god.
1842
01:34:53,120 --> 01:34:56,323
Boxing is my life.
1843
01:34:56,390 --> 01:34:58,059
[in English] "No boxing, no life."
1844
01:34:58,125 --> 01:35:00,327
[in Korean] That one phrase says it all.
1845
01:35:01,696 --> 01:35:04,031
I realized just how much I love boxing,
1846
01:35:05,566 --> 01:35:08,235
and how much I enjoy it.
1847
01:35:08,302 --> 01:35:11,472
I realized how serious I am about boxing,
1848
01:35:11,539 --> 01:35:13,841
