its most unexplored regions.

in the Shan Highlands that straddle
the Thai-Myanmar border...

...lies the fourth checkpoint,

the quiet mountain town of
Mae Sariang.

I mean, I don't know about you

but Thailand's always
been on my bucket list.

A lot of people I know have been to
Thailand and have just

absolutely raved about it,
so I'm so excited

to see what it has to offer.

Especially animals.

Animals, food... There's so much
biodiversity. ..the beaches.

And I think we're going to be going
into like an untapped paradise.

Yeah, I hope so.

First, before leaving Cambodia,

teams must circumnavigate

the largest body of fresh water

in Southeast Asia -

Tonle Sap Lake.

Heading to the lake's west
offers fast roads to the border

and into central Thailand...

...with ancient settlements
on the journey northwards,

engulfed by mountains and jungle.

To the east lies Siem Reap,

gateway to the tourist
hot spot of Angkor Wat.

From there, it's a journey
back in time

through Thailand's rural eastern
provinces,

rarely travelled by backpackers.

So let's just get a plan then.

I'd rather do more of Thailand just
cos I haven't been there.

When I was younger,
I just didn't like who I was.

What kind of triggered it was
the transition from, like, primary

to secondary school, I don't know,
I feel like that just brought up

some emotion in me that
I couldn't shift, you know?

I was just worried about everything.

I was kind of at my lowest

and the main kind of support
I had was my parents.
