'Cause this next prank encounter
is going to blow your mind.

This story revolves around Lucien.

He's an inventor
with a new mind-reading technology

that can hear your thoughts.

It's kind of like Siri
and Alexa had a baby,

and that baby lives inside your head.

Now, this technology isn't real.
Not yet, anyway.

But for these two unsuspecting targets,
we're about to convince them

that a mind
is truly a terrible thing to waste.

Up first is Lorenzo.

He's just arrived at our science lab,

and will act as an assistant
to help demonstrate the technology

for an upcoming investor demonstration.

Across town, our second target, Shay,

is meeting with the investor, Jerry,
right now.

Shay thinks he's there to help Jerry
make a decision on the new tech.

He'll be traveling with Jerry's entourage,
Karen, Finn, and Chris.

But what our two targets don't realize is

that everyone they're
about to meet are all actors.

And everything they'll witness today
is an elaborate prank

caught on our hidden cameras.

Lorenzo and Shay have never met
before tonight,

but we thought we should get them together
because, you know,

two heads are better than one.

Let's get to know each other.

- Okay.

- So, we're doing a presentation...

...uh, to an investor.

Here's the thing. Today, we've got
a couple of folks we're gonna visit.

This first gentleman is an inventor.
Uh, as far as I know,

he's developing something
that has to do with the brain.

[Lucien] I have a product
that I've been developing.

It's called Brain Wake.

Have you ever heard
or known anyone in your life

that had the inability to communicate?

- Yeah.
- You know, traumatic events?

- My dad was also an inventor before me.

The bummer about my father is

that he had his technology
stolen from him.

- That sucks.
- Uh, it was his life's work,

and so, following that,
he basically just shut down.

They're there, but they're not there.
That was my dad.

And it was pure trauma at having
his life's work literally stolen from him.

could no longer communicate.

...and then just focus on it.

'Cause what Brain Wake is gonna do
is interpret what you are visualizing

and deliver it to me in audio format.

- [breathes deeply]

Uh, it's the future of tomorrow.

So basically how we all think,

we think through typical
non-communicative, um, brainwaves.

So right now, we're all giving off
different frequencies.

[chuckling]

So what we're inter...
interpreting with Brain Wake

is to just have those type of brainwaves

be directly sent to each other
rather than scattered out everywhere else.

So basically,

we had two different trials.

So you can see
this is the Brain Wake helmet.

At this point, he's connected
as the alpha, that's the transmitter.

And this will be the beta
in this instance.

That means that Lorenzo will send.

Shay will receive.

All by communicating through
their brainwaves.

Lorenzo is going to select an image
from the tablet.

He's going to focus on the image.

Shay is going to clear his mind.

When Shay is ready, he will say,
"Ready. Brain Wake."

And at that point, Shay's beta helmet

will interpret the brainwaves
that he's receiving.

- Jerry clapped. [laughs]

Shay's will now transmit.
