hello hi everybody welcome to a new

tutorial from sound for more

today we are going to

properly start our series of tutorials

on reapex deep audio so i have loaded

and replaced the audio inside my macbook

air m1

so you know which device i'm currently

using of course you can use other

devices for example you can run these on

a windows machine if you need so

additionally um

it's worth to notice that um straight

away what version i'm using of rip x and

that you can see this here on the screen

if you want to ensure that you follow

the tutorials with the right version or

if you see any differences perhaps the

new version has been released

okay

before i continue i'd like to remind my

viewers to subscribe unless you have

already done so as it helps with

bringing more tutorials videos giveaways

etc etc

so when you open rip x um the first time

you see a

screen like this and there is a lot on

the screen and but i'll make sure that

we go through every single

controls as we progress through the

different tutorials one thing you might

have already enabled

if it is the first time you are open

is the

interactive help

which means that every time you over

over something it will give you an

interactive amp of what

a

that option or function

is that is has been underlined by the

mouse cursor

to disable that go to help and then

click on interactive help it is quite

helpful if you don't remember something

but of course as you progress

the understanding of the tool and

you'll find that it could become quite

annoying because it takes quite a lot of

space

as you can see we have at the top a

status bar

and we have a main screen here this is

where we will load our

um ripped files or files or audio files

which are being converted and into

different parts or ripped as i said down

here on the left you have a piano roll

as well which becomes really really

handy

then on the right hand side here you

have your

rib list so a list which contains in

this case

a rip which i already created which are

called free copyright music which i've

downloaded from

youtube as a free copyright song to

avoid any problems with copyright

and then you also see on the default

replaced a two groups of sound palette

and also

uh yeah and also drum kits on the

palette as well and you can open them

clicking on the triangle here

and you can see there are different

sounds which have been already

incorporated in that palette and you

just can click on

double click on one and you can see that

it has opened that palette for acoustic

guitar and indeed if you over your mouse

the cursor of the mouse over one sound

and click

it will sample that for you which is

really nice

now you can try a lot of others as well

click on autosax

let's try some also of drum kit again

double click to open it you can see the

bass drum is down here

okay let's try a symbol

really nice indeed you can also uh click

on play here um

on the top left and this will play the

entire uh ripped set of song that you

ripped using ripex

be careful of course when you have

things like multiple samples

like in this case in a gives the guitar

and can something messy all of them

like so

so let's close

these two sound palette as i mentioned

these plus these ripped file

are contained in the list which is

called the rip list you see here these

three vertical dots and this gives you

access to a submenu related to the item

which is on the left so click on it here

you can see you can create a new rib

list

open existing one rename it select all

the ribs contained in that list deselect

them remove them which means that they

will still sit in

your hard drive but um on your storage

but not uh contained in the list or you

can delete them and of course you can

show that list in the finder so and

there it is and as you can see there are

two of them the default one and also

test one which i created

so if you want to open a list just click

on the free dots here click open rip

list and select your rip list and then

click open in this case it's a new

replaced which doesn't not contain

anything

at the bottom here you see layers which

you will be able to analyze through

the different

files that you ripped which i'll show

you in in a moment and then you also

have it back down

here in terms of your state of spawn on

things that you do

now if you

want to bring in a song or rip a song or

some music you just click here

so where there is that folder select for

example

an audio file and there are different

formats that you can bring in

select open

and will give you to selection either to

bring in a recording which contain

multiple instruments or a recording that

contain only one instrument of course if

you're bringing in an audi file which

contains multiple instruments but you

have selected a single instrument then

it will amalgamate all those sounds as a

single instrument here is where you

decide the type of instrument voice

effect or other instrument based drums

and you can also select here from in

terms of minute and second two again in

minutes and seconds and the selection is

optional so you can target the specific

range in terms of what you want to rip

the best choice is of course to bring in

and select multiple instruments if

indeed you have multiple instruments

inside

the audio that you want to wrap and you

can further sub select the type of

instruments you want to bring in and

which will

increase or decrease depending on your

selection the estimated time for ripping

you can select the quality here

okay so if you are in a hurry just

select

speed not quality but of course you will

penalize

the quality and you can click on save

stems if you want to save stems only

and then reuse them for example in

another door let's say that you select

quality and i said that you want to

bring in all those instruments then you

click rip

what happens here on the

under the test rip list you see the name

of the file which has been imported it

tells you

the minutes left and also shows your

progress bar as it happens here now you

have three dots here at the moment you

can only select to cancel the ripping

because you have not completed the

ripping so let's cancel it

now let's go back here to the list and

click open rip list and

let's go to the default one where i have

already ripped that to audio file which

i showed you a moment ago so you can

select them as you can see

and then if you double click on them

on a rip file in this case you can open

it and you can see it open here on the

main screen

as a ripped file is open you can see now

as you move across and the main screen

area you have feedback here

at the bottom left your status bar it

tells you the pointer

and it gives you also very interesting

information about your note

pitch and also in hertz which is really

really nice

as you move up here you can see also

different notes selected in terms of the

pitch on the left hand side on the piano

row also if you hover the cursor you

must cursor over the piano roll you see

it will change shape if you click and

hold and then move up and down you can

zoom in and out and depending on the

zoom if you zoom in quite a lot then you

can move up and down or scroll up and

down of course you can click and hold

moving down and see the entire screen

you can repeat the same up here

horizontally so you can

zoom in and out and you can also scroll

as well which is really really nice

as you can see here you have now

different layers which have been

ripped from the song that we have

selected to rip

before we go into those uh let's go back

to the rip file here it has identified

the bit per minute and also the duration

two minutes and fifty seconds now you

can click on the free dot here and you

are accessed different options or

additional options of course in the

previous example i showed you that the

three dots were giving you only access

to

cancel the red pin of the file because

that file was being ripped but when the

file has been ripped you can actually

rename

the rip file remove it from the list but

don't delete it from the folder deleted

permanently remove a background image

showing in the finder again which will

show you where that is located in your

finder

and you can also set a different time

signature so if you click on it and you

think that

um rip x has got that wrong then just

select a different time signature

okay

um let me show you also um the way

how it is how easy it is to bring in a

image so let's download these on the

screen

and directly onto repacks and you can

see i have added a background image

which is really nice

of course and you can go back to the

free dots here and select remove

background image and then you remove it

okay

now

if you have one selected and you double

click here

on this folder it will say

that the file has been modified you want

to

save the changes yes or no i select no

and after that it allows me to

start a new

and the process of repeating a new file

of course i can go back select that

which nothing happened i double click on

gain and then it will open it okay so

that is how it works in terms of

creating

new rip files and

selecting them as well

let me cover also very quickly how the

layers works here i introduced those in

the first video of every packs

but um

let's spend a little bit more time on

these you can see different layers which

rear packs have created as it was

ripping the file you can mute them you

can solo them and you lock them for

further changes okay

so that they cannot be accidentally

changed and you can also decide to add a

new layer just type a name and add a new

one

you can decide to increase or decrease

in decibel

um the amplitude of that voice and then

you for each one of them you have also

again a free and a menu a sub menu so if

you click on it here is where you can

rename

that layer change the color as you can

see and we can say oh change that color

like that and the change is immediate

which is nice so you can use your

preferred

color you can change the height

as i say 24

and you can see that has changed quite a

bit is much bigger and that

maybe that is what you prefer

i set it back to sex

and then you can also play some visuals

uh which is really nice what it will

look like some fireworks has been played

so you have a little bit of fun so let

me show you let's play just uh um

that voice let me solo it if you don't

stay beside me

so obviously you could see the word like

there's a little dot which looked like a

party so let's um

disable that then you have also an

option to set

that as a default voice if you click on

it it will ask you to confirm that yes

or no and as the the dialog box says

it will say it will update the name

color size and playback visual used

for voice in newly ripped tracks i

select no for

for now

you can duplicate it which it comes

really handy you can delete it and you

can lock others which means look it

locks all the others so you accidentally

cannot change the others and if you want

to go back click again on the menu and

say unlock others

and there are also further options here

to

regarding grouping but we'll go through

that in another tutorial
