channel it's Leo speaking today we are

going to explain how to use some of the

controls to create notes and lyrics

inside the piano roll of synthesizer V

Studio Pro before I continue I would

like to remind my viewers to subscribe

let's go up here on the menu please

select file and the new so we can start

a new project if you already had one

active and you changed it you might ask

you to discard the previous changes and

then it's up to you what you want to do

when you created the a new truck sorry

new project that you have in a name

track like so and it will also say no

default voice click where it says no

default voice and select the voice in

this case I have the Kevin and Napoli

but you might have different ones if you

want to know with the installed product

licensing and update section and here

you can see also the voices which have

um and click again on this symbol to

minimize that panel so let's move to the

piano roll now ensure that the first

icon here is selected like so this means

selected and if I want to select the

second one it's like that so make sure

that these are selected like so and then

ensure that between these two the first

one is selected which is for notes well

the second one is for Automation and

changing curve shapes okay

so when you have done that if you click

anywhere in the piano roll nothing

changes right but that's because you

need to double click if you double click

you create a note or an event like in

this case

the one that you create by default it

will say analytic of La okay indeed if I

go back to the beginning in terms of

Transport control here and I click play

okay and we'll play that particular note

for at this pitch in terms of piano roll

with that lyrics which is LA now you can

move and clicking and holding the left

Mouse button and you can drag these

notes whenever you like you can also go

to the left and right edges and change

the start and the end of the particular

note like so you can do it also on the

left hand side of course you can

continue to create notes like this okay

and and so on really

one thing I want to show you is if you

change the left hand side here this node

and you move it to the left until you

overlap the previous one you can see

that the previous one is changing the

shape is because it doesn't allow you to

have overlapping notes if you are moving

the edges like so let me show you again

the right one of this one

you see it moves the edge of the one at

the top however if you drag this note on

top of this other one like so then we

change color in this case they are

grayed out and they will not play let me

try la

you see they're not playing those two

but if I move them in a way that they're

not overlapping they will play now

something to something to remember now

if I want to change the lyric it's very

simple you double click here and you

change the lyric so you can let's say

what and then the second one with we

type in a

and then why not let's create an another

one

here and this time instead of changing

them manually what I'm going to do with

the select selection tool selected I'm

going to align these two notes like so

right click on with the right button of

your mouse and then select insert lyrics

in this case you see la la two words

separated by space highlight those and

change what you want to insert and into

those two notes

um in this case I'll write

amazing and then space day and now it

knows to associate The Amazing Word to

this note and then the day to the second

note because that was split by a space

so let's now go back to the beginning of

the timeline and click play what

amazing day

so that's very interesting indeed next

let's click on this pencil tool this one

allows you to actually draw notes

directly without double clicking so

click and hold and then move to the

right

and you create a node now if you click

and all the move to the left it doesn't

allow you to do that it's only to the

right okay now if you do it on top like

so again the two notes will be

deactivated so remember then to go back

to the selection tool and move them

around so that they're not overlapping

and therefore they can play
