claim to have been abducted
by aliens.

Despite that staggering number,

is on a mission to find out.

I'm in Salinas, California,

on my way to meet
with Rob Fullington.

Rob contacted me because,

like thousands of
other Americans last year,

he claims to have been
abducted by aliens.

He has an incredible story
to tell,

but as with so many abductees,
hardly anyone's ever heard it.

Over the past two years,

something's been going on that's
really concerning to Rob.

He had dramatic weight loss,

severe headaches,
and pain in his groin.

So after seeking medical advice,
really coming up with nothing,

he went and did some
regression hypnosis

and discovered
something really shocking.

He reported his encounter
to authorities,

but his claim was dismissed
and never investigated.

Yeah, come on in.

So...I understand

you've had some really
kind of dramatic experiences

in the past.

So I kind of
want to start you back

from when it all started.

I had absolutely no idea that
I was being contacted at all.

It was 4th of July 2009
at 12:00 in the morning,

and I go outside, I used to
smoke at the time,

so I have a last cigarette.

Just outside of here,

I thought it was just
a satellite,

you know,
drifting up in the sky,

and I got the pictures
to document that.

[ Camera shutter clicks ]

I mean, it just goes
from space to right there,

in the backyard,
right above the tree line,

it was this massive,
glowing disc.

♪♪

And I'm just, like,
completely terrified.

And then because of some
force or some technology,

I can't fight falling asleep,
and it's just blackout.

♪♪

After the encounter,

Rob could not remember what
occurred after blacking out.

All he knew was he was gone
for nearly five hours.

In UFO abductions cases,
this is known as "missing time."

After months of struggling
to uncover what happened,

Rob turned to hypnotherapy.

During his session,
Rob was able to recall

the following memories
of his abduction.

His life would
never be the same.

I'm having an experience
where I'm actually in a ship.

I can see my body
strapped into a chair.

The top of my skull
was removed,

and I can see
my living brain.

[ Yelling ]

Rob was not alone.

And there are
these three beings,

two on each side of me
and the one behind me.

Did they look like
a humanoid?

Humanoid -- two arms,
two legs.

I don't really remember
too much about,

you know, what I saw.

But I remember they were rubbing
their fingers on my brain.

[ Screaming ]

Next thing I know,
it's just blackness,

and I wake up like, "What
am I doing in bed?" You know?

Like, "Holy crap.
I went through that.
Wow. I saw that."

And I just can't, you know --
[ Exhales sharply ]

It's terrifying.

Oh, completely horrifying.

I was horrified.

So, I know a lot of people
ask, and I'd like
to know,

like, how did you come to terms
with knowing that you were awake

and that this wasn't just, like,
a lucid dream?

You can see
what I'm talking about.

So, like, here's an example
of one of the body marks

to my calf.

It's healed, right?

You can see the the bruise
is kind of faded,

but it used to be
three perfect circle bruises.

Right?

Then, of course,
you can see

that they scooped out
a little piece of my skin,

about the size
of a fingernail.

So, what happened here?

This is your left rib cage?

Right.
Right side?

Oh, wow.
[ Camera shutter clicks ]

What I know about
scratch marks and stuff,

when a human finger scratches
someone like this,

because of the width
of the fingernail,

you also get a raised rash
sort of along that track.

Yeah.
Okay?

This looks more like
a claw.

Yeah, claws. Yes.

That's terrifying.

It hurt for weeks, man.

Wow.

What's strange is scratches
made from humans or animals

usually run
in a parallel pattern.

These are like nothing
Ben has seen before,

and that was just the start
of Rob's troubles.

Despite having actual
physical proof of his encounter,

there was little interest
in his horrifying story,

even as the situation
became dire.

Happens next,
I started getting sick --

constant vomiting,
there would be blood sometimes,

a really gnawing pain
in my stomach.

You'd wake up, and there'd be
blood on the pillows.

Bleeding from the mouth?

Yeah, mouth.

My body wasn't taking in
nutrients,

so I started
losing weight.

I went from 210
to 115...

What?
...114 pounds, yeah.

In how much time?

In a matter
of a couple months,

I started losing
that much weight.

So almost half your body weight
in just a couple of months?
Yeah.

Rob was desperate for answers,
but no one could help.

And the doctors didn't know
what was going on.

They did every test
under the sun --

MRI, CT scans, everything --

and, you know,
they found nothing.

I did every test, man.

I've done, like, even where
I got to watch me eat

and see the X-rays.

So you're not getting
any nutrition from your food?
Unh-unh.

Eventually, the doctor said,
"You're going to die, dude."

Oh, yeah.

With nowhere else to turn,
Rob resorted to hypnotherapy.

I put together that,
"Oh, they're the ones
making me sick."

He came to believe
his captors' experiments

must have damaged his body in
ways that doctors couldn't see.

I'm telling everybody,
I'm like, "Oh, my God,

you're not going to believe
what's happening to me."

And so I started getting
hard-core rejection

from my peers
and friends and family, yeah.

After months of agony,

Rob's deadly condition
mysteriously reversed itself,

stumping his doctors once again.

Even still,
I'm still, you know,

I'm still pretty horrified,
yeah.

There's a lot of trauma.

I've been trying to figure out
how to turn it off.

But Rob still
has reason for concern.

Just two weeks ago,
he spotted a familiar light

in the sky over his house,

and the helpless
feeling returned.

He could be abducted
at any time.

of UFO sightings

HANSEN:
Most of Hynek's files

live at the Center for UFO
Studies, or CUFOS,

where I'm headed now.

CUFOS is a private organization
founded by Dr. Hynek,

with a goal of
scientifically analyzing

the world's UFO sightings.

UFO historian Mark O'Connell
is meeting me here

to help me with my research.

So, as you know,
I was in northern California.

Yeah.

And I met with an alleged
alien abductee

named Rob Fullington.

He believed
he was physically examined

and very scary procedures
done to him,

and he experiences
missing time, right?

So I'm wondering,
is there any cases --

As we go back, we know there's
been alleged abductions,

but how many of them
involve physical marks,

maybe things recalled
through hypnosis?

Hostile aliens,
missing time.

I know you know about the
Barney and Betty
Hill case.

Sure.
1961.

It's probably the classic
alien abduction event.

A couple is out
on their honeymoon

in the mountains
of New Hampshire.

They see a strange light
in the sky

that seems to be
tracking their car

as they're driving
home at night.

I remember pieces of this.

I've never really dove
into the whole event.

And I forgot that there was
such a huge chunk

of missing time, right?

Yeah, they came home
about two hours later

than they should have
gotten home,

and they just couldn't
figure it out.

It's took Betty and Barney
two years or so

to actually recall

any of what happened
during that missing time.

NARRATOR: Similar to the
abduction of Rob Fullington,

Betty and Barney Hill
sought hypnotherapy

to uncover the mystery
of their missing time.

Their recollection of events
have been recorded and filed

at the CUFOS Library.

investigating

the case of Rob Fullington,

a Salinas, California, man

who witnessed a UFO,
lost five hours,

and woke up with strange
scratches on his body,

followed by a bizarre illness
no one could ever explain.

That's terrifying.

Oh, completely horrifying.
I was horrified.

In the secret
Project Blue Book files,

Ben has discovered the research

from one of the most
notorious abduction stories

in American history --

the Betty and Barney Hill case
of 1961.

That's pretty chilling.

And you know how
the Air Force responded?

How?

They said, "The object was, in
all probability, Jupiter."

Jupiter?
Jupiter.

Well, that didn't
make anybody happy.

So they ended up settling
on a story

that it was a top-secret
weather balloon.

Um, that's exactly
what they said about Roswell

many, many years later.

Hearing Barney Hill
and hearing his reaction

recalling the event, that does
not come from something prosaic

as seeing a planet.

The government's clearly trying

to just explain
these things away.

Absolutely.
No doubt about it.

HANSEN: I'm struck
by some of the similarities

to Rob's account --

an initial UFO sighting,
the chunk of lost time,

the repressed memories
of alien experiments,

and ultimately,
a deliberate ploy by authorities

to discredit
the couple's account.

Why the cover-up?

You may have noticed

that I pulled out
a second file just now.

You may have heard
of this one, too --

the Pascagoula, Mississippi,
abduction case from 1973?

I've heard the name. I honestly
don't know anything about it.

Ties with everything we've
just been talking about

about potentially
hostile aliens

conducting very aggressive
medical exams on abductees.

NARRATOR: On the evening of
October 11, 1973,

outside of Pascagoula,
Mississippi,

42-year-old Charles Hickson

and his coworker,
19-year-old Calvin Parker,

were taken onto an alien craft.

What we do have is an audio
recording of an interview

Charles Hickson did later
after the abduction.

Oh, okay.
So let's listen to that.

[ Click ]

[ Click ]

Pascagoula abduction makes
national headlines,

and Hynek shows up,

I think, about two days
after the event took place.

Now, Dr. Hynek was never very
comfortable with abduction cases

because it just raised
too many weird questions

that he couldn't answer.

After arriving in Pascagoula,

Dr. Hynek was given
a secret recording

made of Calvin and Charlie
during their interrogation.

This is what he heard.

It makes sense that
if this was a real event

and you leave the room,

you're still going
to be talking about it.

Yeah, you can hear
the adrenaline

in their voices, you know?

Hynek came out of that hypnosis
session a changed man.

Just listen to what
he has to say on this tape.

That sounds
just like Hynek.

He doesn't say, "I know
that they were abducted."

He says, "I'm convinced,
however,

that they had a real
experience."

The first thing that
Calvin Parker

and Charles Hickson did
after their abduction

was to call the sheriff.

Well, the sheriff,
Sheriff Fred Diamond,

and Hickson and Parker
themselves

were worried that they may have
been exposed to radiation.

This is what precipitated
the sheriff's deputy

to drive Parker and Hickson
to the Air Force base

to be examined in the infirmary
for radiation exposure.

Well, they were examined.

Did they have any marks?

Yeah, in fact, there's a report
on it right here in the file.

Puncture marks noted on
Charles Hickson

and Calvin Parker

approximately 72 hours
after their abduction.

Certain markings were found
on their bodies,

of which both men could not
account for their presence

when questioned about them.

There's a lot of similarities
between these three cases.

The Pascagoula case of 1973
harkens back

to the Hill case of 1961

because in both cases, the
government attempted to mislead

or cover up any evidence
of the encounter.

In the case of Rob Fullington,

could the government's
new strategy be

to just ignore the facts
entirely?

I've recently been in touch
with Calvin Parker.

I think you should
go talk to him.

There's something very,
very fishy about the way

this whole thing played out
with the Air Force.

It just doesn't add up.

HANSEN: I'm in Pascagoula,
Mississippi,

and I'm here to meet
with Calvin Parker,

who was involved in a 1973
UFO abduction case.

Calvin's story was met with
such skepticism and ridicule

that he spent the rest
of his life in hiding.

He's barely spoken about
what happened that night

in more than 30 years.

HANSEN: He still lives here
in the area,

and I'm really excited to talk
with him about all the details,

They didn't find out
who I was till last year.

How long did you use
the other name for?

45 years.

So you, I understand,

were with him
from the beginning.

You were engaged
when this happened.
We were engaged. Uh-huh.

Yeah, this happened
in October,

and we was engaged
to get married in November.

NARRATOR:
This is the first time Waynette
has ever gone on the record

with her account
of Calvin's ordeal.

Until now, she's been wary
of telling her story.

How did that
impact you?

It was very difficult.

And how I knew
something bad,

tremendously bad,
had happened to him,

for the first two months
after all this happened,

his mouth quivered.

I mean,
it was like a nervous...

And he had never
done that before.

HANSEN: Calvin, I know
that you didn't want to

talk about this
for decades.

It's probably still hard
for you,

but can you take me back
to that night

and just kind of walk me
through step-by-step
what happened?

Absolutely.

We got off around 5:00
that evening.

We parked to walk down
to the pier,

and that's when I noticed,
coming from behind me,

there was some hazy blue lights,

like the patrol cars used.

And I was thinking, "Oh, boy,
we fixing to go to jail."

We turned around
about the same time and looked.

There was three bulky looking
creatures coming towards us.

♪♪

They was gray in color.

They had skin that kind of
looked like an elephant.

So one grabbed me
by the left arm,

and I automatically felt
an injection.

It paralyzed me.

I could roll my eyes,
but that's all I could move.

♪♪

This thing took us
toward this craft,

and this big, ugly creature

takes me toward this table and
laid me at a 45-degree angle.

♪♪

And then I felt this presence
coming in,

and it's what I call a female.

Her two middle fingers was a
little bit longer on each hand.

Then she grabbed my chin,

and she took her two middle
fingers from this other hand,

she ran them down my throat.

And I started choking
and bleeding.

And that's when I noticed
how they looked.

They wasn't nothing like
I've never seen in this world.

NARRATOR: Ben is interviewing
Calvin Parker,

the lone survivor of
the infamous 1973
Pascagoula encounter.

With abundant evidence

supporting his claim
of alien abduction,

why has the government refused
to ever confirm his story?

According to Calvin, aliens
led him and his friend Charlie

onto their ship

and conducted unspeakable
experiments on them.

He hasn't spoken about
his ordeal in over 30 years.

This other thing come alive
like a jack in the box,

and he got me by the left arm,
and I felt this injection again.

He carried me out
to the river bank,

and this is when I remember
hearing Charlie say,

"Son, son, you okay?"

Sometimes, I feel like
I've had people tell me

that they was angels
that was cast out of Heaven,

and I don't believe that.

If I was gonna make
an educated guess about it,

that they had to be
from another galaxy

or planet or something
like that and traveling by.

HANSEN:
Not from this world?

No, they're not
from this world.

I guarantee that.

Absolutely incredible.

Did you notice anything?
Were there eyes, ears?

I didn't notice anything
about their face.

What about the arms?

Their hands, looked like
they had mittens on,

or I call them
crab-like hands.

Okay, so the hands were
kind of like pinchers,

but the female had
a sharp claw.

Right.

that was rendered from Charles'
and Calvin's descriptions.

This is the first time
Calvin's ever seen it.

Would you say
that this looked

anything like
what you had seen

of the entities that
brought you on board?

Yeah, this is all similar.

The neck's
pretty close to right,

and the hands is
pretty close to right,

you know, and his arms, the arms
was just a little bit longer

in proportion
with the body.

Okay. So, did you guys
call the cops?

Yes.

Best thing for us to do
is not tell nobody,

but Charles called Jackson
County Sheriff's Department,

and he started to tell them
what happened.

And I was thinking,
"What an idiot," you know?

Two patrol men
come pulling up.

Him and his deputy
put us in a car

and took us to the
Keesler Air Force Base.

♪♪

We got to the gate,

and they escorted us
to the back.

♪♪

There were six men dressed
in hazmat suits,

told everybody else to step
back, step away from us.

♪♪

And when they opened
them doors,

they had every law enforcement
in the three counties down here.

They said, "We need for y'all
to tell us what happened."

And I said,
"We'll let Charlie tell you.

He's good
at running his mouth."

And so Charlie told the story.

NARRATOR: Throughout
the entire interrogation,

neither Calvin nor Charlie
changed their story.

The evidence that both men
were telling the truth

was overwhelming.

But after their interviews,
Charles and Calvin

were simply dismissed
with no follow-up.

They took us back.

We went on back
to Charlie's apartment.

I was renting a room from him.
And I went into my room.

I just walked in the door,
and I took all my clothes off.

Then I got in the shower,

and there was a gallon
of bleach in there.

And I turned the hot water on
as hot as I could stand it.

And I took
that gallon of bleach,

and I poured
all over my head,

and I rubbed it in
all over my body.

But I figured
that would kill any germs

or anything I had on me.

♪♪

Would "violated"
be a good word?

Yeah,
I did feel violated.

And it's affected me
even up to this day

because I've never really
trusted a lot of people.

♪♪

NARRATOR:
Despite the trauma he endured,

Calvin got no support
from the authorities

investigating the case.

And once the story leaked,

he was hounded and humiliated
by the public.

Did you have any experiences
after this?

What happened next has been
Calvin's secret

for over 25 years.

Yeah, in '93.

Told my wife, "I'm going
to go fishing a little while."

And while I was out there,
I had a missing time.

Wow.

Just like the Hills in 1961
and Rob in 2009.

So, I remember at 11:00,
I was sitting down to eat.

I didn't get back home
till 3:00 that next morning

'cause I come to about 2:00,
and I didn't know where I was.

So it was quite
a bit of time missing.

Not long ago, I went to a
three-hour session of hypnosis.

Apparently, in 1993, they had
came back to get something out.

I felt like it might
have been something

they had implanted
in my nostril.

Oh, really?
Yeah.

Wow.

You're recalling things
in hypnosis --

that they had come back.

Does that worry you?

Well, I'm paranoid.

I sleep three hours
at night,

and the simple reasoning is

I want to be up
to protect my family.

If they want to come back and
they want to abduct somebody,

I don't want nothing charging
in on them I don't know about.

So it has affected you
quite a bit.
It has affected me.

And I guess it still is.

The evidence backing
Calvin's story is compelling.

The secret recording.
The interrogation.

He even convinced Dr. Hynek.

And yet, decades later,
he's still living in fear

with no one
from the government to help.

HANSEN:
One thing that Calvin

was a little reticent
to tell me at first

was he did have what he believes
is another encounter in 1993.

He's unsure what happened,
but he had missing time --

probably about 15 hours

where he can't account
for where he was.

♪♪

I'm headed back to Salinas.

Calvin was able to learn
a lot through hypnosis.

I think if Rob can recall more
details about his abduction,

it will help build a case
that the government should be

taking these claims seriously.

what's called a beta brain wave.

It's the conscious
critical thinking.

We're going to begin
to regress you into an alpha,

very similar
to a sleep state,

so that you are able to access
your own memories, okay?

HANSEN:
I've also asked a sketch artist
to depict what Rob describes.

So, I will begin
the way I always begin --

by having you take some long,
deep, rhythmic breaths.

Wait, hang on. I don't want
to count him down on TV.

I don't want to
hypnotize the audience.

So, I want you to draw
your mind down,

down into the soles
of the feet,

and there's
an energy there.

And this is
a very relaxing energy.

Watching the alpha
and the beta waves,

and so we're starting
to see the alpha wave

swap places with the beta.

NARRATOR: With Rob
now deeply hypnotized,

Laurie takes him back
to the night of his abduction.

of receiving an implant
like Calvin claimed.

I feel like it might have been

they had implanted
in my nostril.

than what people describe

with the Grays, right?

It seems like the eyes define
the shape of
the head.

This is the stuff honestly
that nightmares are made of.

Though Rob's alien
doesn't resemble Calvin's,

both men recalled under hypnosis
that they were implanted

with a device
in their nose or mouth --

an uncanny similarity.

What I have learned
about Eisenhower's relationship

to extraterrestrial beings
and E.T. government treaties

of planetary goods,
natural resources,

elements, and compounds,

like, things like abduction.

What are they doing
with that?

that is basically
a living library.

A lot of this
is difficult to swallow,

is true,

that aliens have made treaties

They track people
in family lines.

Because of their lifespan,

they can't possibly study
everything they want to study

The human beings are implanted

"I had a dream where I woke up."

He had a dream where he woke up,
first of all, right?

And then he's like,
"I'm walking through the house,

and these little guys
are chasing me around."

happened, Dad."

It's generational,
and it's the same --

If it's been happening to him,

this has been happening
a lot longer.

At work, they made
an aluminum hat for me,

and, you know, people don't want
to believe that.

I said, "I don't care if you
believe me or not." You know?

Occasionally, someone will say
"You're a complete liar,"

whatever.

And all you have to do
is look at them and say,

"You have to have
your own experience."

HANSEN: My investigation
into alien abductions

has been fascinating.

Many of them believe that
they have received implants,

that the aliens are coming back
and that it's multigenerational,

and that the government
will not listen

to their stories.

They're under my tongue.

HANSEN:
Also, I was surprised
to hear the reports

of multiple species
abducting people.

Betty and Barney Hill
had the Grays,

Rob had the Mantis,

and whatever you call
the monstrosity

that came for Calvin,

it really makes me wonder
what's going on up there.

Calvin still feels at risk.

PARKER:
I sleep three hours at night.

I want to be up to
protect my family.

HANSEN: But how at risk
are the rest of us

of being abducted?

And based on what Laura told me,
if it's true,

how complicit is the government?

Are they conspiring with aliens?

So many questions remain.
