Hi, I'm Joel Dommett, and this is Survivor, the world's toughest

reality show, where 18 strangers have left their lives

behind to join me on a remote tropical island.

Divided into two tribes...

...they are locked in a battle for supremacy.

So far, the blue tribe, La Nena, have been all-conquering,

winning both food and immunity from the vote.

La Nena wins immunity!

Orange tribe Caleton have tasted only defeat.

I knew it was going to be hard,

but I never thought it was going to be like this.

We have not eaten for two days.

And when Caleton faced their first tribal council...

I think everybody that's sitting here is vulnerable.

It's everything you don't want in a team member.

It's time to vote.

...Richard became the first person voted out of the game.

The tribe has spoken.

Who will be going home tonight?

And who will outwit, outplay, outlast all the others to win

£100,000 and the title of Sole Survivor?

Up until now, Caleton have not been able to cook anything.

However, with a flint to make fire, they might find some relief.

Tribal council last night was intense.

| felt so guilty about Richard,

but it was the best thing to happen

for the tribe.

But I'm feeling, like, Shai, he's panicking.

How long have you been up?

Half an hour, 20 minutes.

Just been setting that up.

Seeing my name come out of the urn

at tribal council was scary.

I feel like I'm going to take a step back,

be chilled out and see

how that goes, because I'm not

going to give them an excuse to vote me out.

You know what's funny, right?

Last night, tribal council, was purely

down to our conversation.

Potentially, got a little bit of power together.

Yeah, I think... Just weighing the group. We probably...

The relationship I have with Tinuke will benefit my game play,

but we are trying not to make it too obvious to the rest

of the tribe how close our bond is,

because that could quite easily

be seen as a threat.

I'm 35, I'm from Manchester. I'm a group fitness instructor.

If my body's not performing, then I'm not performing.

Any physical challenges,

I'm going to be up there with the best of them.

When I've got nothing left in the tank,

I think about my kids and what they would say to me

if I wanted to give up.

I'm all about challenges, and also

the £100,000 that I'm going to get when I win.

We are so excited. It's been horrendous.

Caleton have now had fire and a bit of food.

But just over the rocky headland, it's La Nena, who have been feasting

on back-to-back challenge victories.

Why do I keep...? I keep trying to talk in an English accent.

All is well! It's rubbing off on me, guys.

It feels great to be waking up knowing

that we are the winning tribe.

Oh, yeah!

Everyone does feel relieved that we didn't go to tribal

council last night.

I think it is a big weight off of everyone's shoulders.

So, guys, I reckon we should place a bet on who's got voted out

of the other tribe. And the winner gets a coconut.

Everyone's over the moon that we won yet another challenge,

and we didn't have to go to tribal council.

But I am really worried about my hand at this point,

because I injured it in the very first immunity challenge.

It could very easily turn into an excuse for me to go home.

With both tribes eager to prove their worth again,

I've literally never fought anyone in my life.

Well, now's the day!

It's massive that we win this challenge.

For whatever the reward is. Or just morale.

I think morale... In fact, morale is the main, main priority.

I have to believe we can beat La Nena.

It's going to be fighting, I think. It is.

It's going to be a fight. Who wants to take on Nathan?

Oh! It's a chance for glory.

I want to demonstrate to my tribe that I'm an asset and I would

die for them. So I want to have a crack at the big man.

I grew up on the Isle of Mull, which is an island

in the west coast of Scotland. Survivor is a lot like fishing.

You have to be prepared. You have to be patient.

But if you keep going, you keep trying,

you might land a beauty.

The two tribes are about to face their first reward challenge.

Winning these will provide items that can make camp life easier.

They are worth fighting for, in this case, literally.

To be honest, I don't really want to think

about how Caleton are feeling.

I wouldn't want to be in their shoes right now.

And I bet the mood in their camp is very sour.

Veeeery sour.

We need to win this. Spirits are high.

Bellies are full. Everyone loves an underdog.

As a tribe, I think we're ready to do this.

How was it? It was intense, but we are ready to go again today.

OK. But now, I think we might have burnt our whole camp down.

So that should probably help with today's challenge. Certainly.

As a tribe, we've been at the lowest lows, you know? Yeah.

Going into it I was feeling super, super confident, I was really,

really backing myself.

and it is really disappointing.

I love fishing.

One of my favourite things to do back home is to go fishing

with my old man, so, yeah, I'm very, very pleased.

I've used one of these before. You cast it over the shoulder,

go right bang in... Yeah. ..over, like, a shoal of pilchards.

Uh-huh. Dad will not...

He will not believe I've got a cast net on Survivor.

This is a game changer.

We can catch fish and cook it up.

We can keep the tribe eating well.

La Nena!

The fishing gear has lifted La Nena's mood even further.

But under the surface, some are thinking about how one

of the tribe is flounder-ing. Little fish pun for you there.

This is intense.

But the hard thing about our tribe is that you feel like everyone

is getting on and everyone is your friend.

When it comes to it, what do you do?

At some point that's going to have to separate. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I like Christopher. Seems like a sweet guy.

If you're not building friendships

then you're not playing this game right, in my opinion.

Who would you pick of those?

That's a tricky question. Well, what would you say?

See, I'm also thinking in my head, injuries are now going to play

a part in how challenges...

Yeah, yeah, see, I never thought of that. But that's going to play in.

They're not going to be able to do a whole lot of stuff.

It is so important to put on a poker face in Survivor.

I really get on with Ashleigh and I'm going to tell

her absolutely everything.

It's kind of awkward and I feel like because I feel like I get

on with you and I feel like I can trust you.

Yeah, yeah. I appreciate that. Thanks.

Hannah just asked me, who do I think,

if I was to pick someone to nominate, I said,

"What do you think?"

And then she was like, "But if people are injured..."

I don't want anyone to go for you just because you've got

an injury or... Which I did for the team. For the whole tribe.

Well, exactly.

I think the four of us obviously are on the same page. Yeah.

That says a lot as well. 100%.

If we want to work together, we need to tell each other things.

Yeah, that's exactly right. That's what I mean. Yeah.

I know that it's really important, especially at this early stage,

to be part of the team that's, like, really pushing forward

and helping to win those challenges.

So not being able to participate in that puts me, you know, in not

such a great position.

There are many different types of challenges to be worried about

on Survivor - reward challenges, immunity challenges and one

of the biggest challenges of all, coping with just how badly

you can smell after this long in the wilderness.

I'm boiling my clothes right now.

Day five.

Cleanliness is starting to become an issue.

It's starting to stink.

I won't even lie.

One sock coming up.

I've decided to boil my clothes to try and sterilise them,

start afresh.

I need a little bit of a shake-up, you know?

Everyone's looking pretty... Pretty disqusting.

Everyone's shirts are, like, what were white

are now, like, brown or yellow.

I think the longest I've ever wore the same pair of underwear is maybe

a couple of days.

I went to a few festivals, wore the same underwear for a while,

but this is just becoming a bit wild now.

How many have they won now?

Three, I think.

I'm really not bothered about the fishing gear, though.

It's just that it's three challenges.

None of us can actually fish.

I think we can break our losing streak by doing a team challenge.

I don't think we like head-to-head.

I think it's too much pressure for everyone.

Our story is a story of struggle, perseverance, resilience, love.

Absolutely. Exactly, we started with nothing.

It feels to me when you have an injured member of the tribe

that if we were to go to Tribal soon,

I'm a mum of four

and grandmother of three, and I'm an ultra marathon runner.

I run very, very long distances for fun.

That ability to keep going is @ massive skill,

and I want to show my grandkids that grannies

can do adventurous things.

With the hair and everything.

because I have a phobia of things being in my eye.

I'm focused on performance, and the person who gives the worst

It depends which one of them lets us down miserably on a challenge.

It all depends on the upcoming

immunity challenge, and what better

way to deliver news about impending doom and high drama

than with a little note stuck to a tree?

It's quite big.

Tether? So shore to sea, we've definitely got to

swim out to something.

It might be a rope and they're all connected.

We're all safe again. ..legs.

I don't dislike Sabrina, but in terms of our tribe, I think

she does annoy quite a lot of people.

Just, like, visualise it, thoughts become things.

I think it's more people than she realises that she annoys.

We're standing there, we've done it.

We're absolutely breathing out of our arses.

And she's very loud.

Unfortunately, my hand is still not healed.

So the likelihood is that if this challenge has anything to do

with grip or water, I'm probably going to have to sit it out.

I am worried. If we don't win

this challenge, I could be at risk of going home.

We've already been to Tribal Council once.

We do not want to go back there.

It is horrible.

I don't know if I can do another lose.

We've only got stuff to gain, you know.

We've got really nothing to lose. I'm really excited about this.

We prepared a seven-course bean risotto yesterday,

and so we've had this morning our third consecutive full meal.

And as a result, we are at maximum performance capability.

Wow. And therefore, we will give them a proper stomping.

OK, you ready to get to today's immunity challenge?

Yeah! Yeah. Let's go. All right. First things first,

Rach, I'm going to need the immunity idol back, please.

OK. Once again, immunity is up for grabs.

For today's challenge...

...you're going to paddle out

and collect keys from three barrels.

You'll then swim out two at a time

to release a crate underwater

and bring it back to your raft.

When your tribe has collected all three crates, you'll return

to shore where you'll use the keys to release the bamboo inside.

You'll then use the bamboo to build a tower.

First tribe to build their tower higher than the coloured line

wins immunity and is safe.

La Nena, you've got nine in your tribe,

so you have to sit somebody on the bench.

Who's it going to be?

I'm happy to sit out with my hand just to protect it. Yeah.

I think everyone naturally has been having chats.

It's a really difficult decision because every single person

is very deserving of being here and there's not one person

you can kind of point to and be like, yeah, that makes make sense.

I think it's natural.

You know, there's people talking all the time.

We're all talk, I guess.

Sabrina, strong friendships and alliances are really important

in this game, but if you find yourself on the wrong side of them,

that can obviously be very dangerous.

Where do you see yourself?

I made a conscious decision that I was going to play with honesty

and integrity and that I have to trust people.

You know, if they say that they've got my back,

that they really have.

So my decision tonight is really based on keeping

this tribe really strong.

We're here to win the game, but none of us will win this game if La Nena

doesn't stay strong.

You have to surround yourself with people that you know in every

challenge are going to give 100%.

So I sat out because I injured my hand

in the first immunity challenge.

To not be able to be a part of

these challenges right now

is really difficult because you want to be helping

the team and getting involved.

But, you know, it's like, if someone's injured in a sports team,

you don't just chuck them out.

You look after them, you protect them.

What do you think went wrong?

It...it was a mixture of a lot of things, but I'd say

the choices of swimmers.

We kind of just asked people to raise their hands.

They did.

And they weren't up to the job.

Be the swimmer, but be

a good swimmer if you're going to be the swimmer.

I said I was happy to do it.

and put it aside and swam back to Christopher, which brought

it to a very, very close loss.

I just think don't put yourself

forward if you think that someone can do it better.

Yeah, I absolutely did because I am a decent swimmer.

Um, where I struggled was getting enough breath in,

but Rachel had said she was a trained vocalist

so wouldn't have any problems.

So I assumed that she might be able
