Today, our celebrities will
experience market life firsthand

as each team watches a local
fisherman clean and gut a fish

and then do six of their own.

Only when the fishmonger
is satisfied with their work

will they receive their next clue.

BEAU: In this detour, teams must
choose between Save the Mangroves

or Save the Reef.

Marine conservation in Borneo is big

and here on the gorgeous Gaya Island,

well, the coral reefs
get a lot of loving.

Teams who decide to save the reef

will need meticulous
attention to detail

as they help regenerate
Borneo's precious coral reefs,

first by collecting suitable pieces
of dead coral

and then gluing living coral
fragments called nubbins

onto their surface.

Once the local marine biologist
is happy,

they can swim their new coral
creations out to the ocean floor

and get their next clue.

Teams who choose
to save the mangroves

will help to replenish Borneo's
unique wetland ecosystem

by kayaking a gruelling 3 kilometres
deep into this mangrove forest

to find and collect 36 seeds.

Then it's back in the kayak
to paddle to a nearby nursery,

where they'll have to plant
their seeds in pots.

If they get it right,
they'll receive their next clue.

36 mangrove seeds

inside the mangrove forest
by kayaking.

by jumping in an ocean
where they all live.

biologist, so we're doing that one.

So the process is find 5 kilograms
each of dead coral,

glue them together, make sure
they're stuck well together

and if they're not,
we have to start again.

We're building a little fake reef.
That's why we're here.

Just to make the world a better place

And then should just fit in,
like a bit of Tetris, you know?

Although you're probably too young
to remember Tetris, aren't ya?

I managed to get three rocks

that I could just place on each
other naturally without glue anyway,

and they would sit.

So I figured that was
the best route to go.

And then just put the little layer of
glue in between,

sit them on top of each other,
hope for the best.

I chose some that I thought
would just be the heaviest

and weirdly shaped.

So when I went to start glue it,

there was no surface area
there to hold.

Nubbins are these little bits
of coral that have snapped off

but still alive,
living in the bottom of the sea.

'cause I played a marine scientist

in a great little show called
SeaChange. You've probably seen it.

To get these nubbins
to stick in the coral,

you've gotta put some
bicarb soda on,

then a bit of glue, put them in,

then if they're a little bit wobbly

What does that mean?

BEAU: A roadblock is a challenge

that only one team member
must choose to complete

based on a cryptic clue.

Teams must travel to the other side
of the island to Padang Point

and make their way
deep into the forest.

Almost all the Indigenous cultures
in Borneo have one thing in common -

wooden masks.

And they're all loaded with meaning -

ancestors, gods, demons and animals.

The variety is amazing.

For this roadblock, one chosen team
member will have to have sharp eyes

and a sharper memory.

They'll hike up a steep jungle track

and need to spot nine masks
hidden along the way.

At the end of the trail,

they must remember the exact order
they appeared

and place them on the board.

If they get it right,
they'll receive their next clue.

You might be good at that.

in the forest

and hope they're gonna return,
knowing what they're doing.

from where you started the path."

And there was lots of roots, rocks,
so it wasn't a very clear path.

Rahman Marine Park.

Famous for its reef snorkelling,
lush jungle rainforest

and of course, those monitor lizards

affectionately known
as the Dragons of Sapi.

Teams will have to kayak
to a neighbouring island

and locate the pit stop,

but standing out here all day
is thirsty work.

So before they start paddling,

teams must swim out and grab me
a fresh, ripe coconut from the sea

and bring it to me.
