All language subtitles for 13. Think About The Flow Of Lines

First of all, I'd like to briefly review the last video.

From the last video, I started with the rough draft and decided on the theme.

I was looking for various elements from what I wanted to draw, such as characters, backgrounds, and situations.

And in the end, the theme was me moving forward.

In this theme, I was confused about the composition of the two patterns, whether to make it a battle scene or an interaction scene.

So I made two composition drafts.

The first one is a battle scene like this.

The second one is an interaction scene.

So this time, I'd like to draw costumes, hair, and faces while being aware of the flow of the line of sight.

Let's get started.

First, I'd like to start with this battle scene.

I'm going to change the layer name to make it easier to understand.

First, the direction of the head.

From the center of the side to the center of the front.

I drew a line like this.

And here was the ear.

There was a line like this.

You can erase the line you drew.

First, this is a simple form layer.

I'm going to make it translucent, and then I'm going to trace it again like this.

Either way is fine.

And here's the tip of the elbow.

I'm going to shape it like this.

And the leg I'm drawing right now is the closest to the screen.

It's close to our eyes, so it's going to be big like this.

This is the center, so you can't really see the other side of the elbow.

I'm going to make the hand look simple like this.

It's like this.

Next is this character.

Take the center line and the center of the side.

It's easy to get the position.

I'm going to make the hair look like a twintail, and I'm going to make a lot of hair.

It's a flow that leads to the line of sight.

I'm going to make it useful.

I think it's pretty good.

I've drawn the shape of the body, so I'm going to draw the clothes from here.

It's a uniform.

I changed the position of the tie.

I thought it would be hard to see the silhouette if I put it here.

So I changed the tie to this position.

I think I'll change it later.

I'm going to proceed roughly now.

I think I want to make it pretty.

The pen I'm using now is the round pen I used first.

It's the same pen.

I'm going to take the shape of the clothes and draw it.

The design of the clothes is the same.

First, I'm going to take this skirt in a simple shape.

It's a face.

I'm going to draw a face.

The character here is...

What do you call it?

I want to make it look like a naked person.

A strong, powerful expression.

It would be interesting if this accessory also had something like a tool for painting.

For example, like this, I'm trying to think about various arrangements.

It's like this. And so that the character is easy to understand,

I selected the blank part with the automatic selection tool and painted it all at once.

At this point, we will check whether the silhouette is easy to understand.

In that case, I'll put the character in a layer folder.

Next is the background. It was a vast land that spread out, but I would like to think about the land that collapsed due to the impact in the battle.

The further away it is, the more simplified it is, the easier it is to understand the perspective.

And the more you draw in the front, the more it looks like it's on this side.

And it's a fragment.

By drawing a fragment, you can get a sense of perspective, and this can also be used as a perspective, depending on the size.

By putting it on the character in the foreground, you can get a sense of perspective.

I'm going to add a little color to make it easier to understand the object in the foreground.

I erased the brush line and made it look like this from the perspective of the character.

This composition is this line.

And if you draw a line from the perspective, it looks like it's going to flow out of the screen, so it might be good to add a fragment here.

First, the eyes go to the face, and then it goes like this, and then it goes like this, and then it goes like this.

It's that kind of flow.

I think it's going to be a pretty powerful illustration.

Next, I'd like to draw another one.

I'd like to draw the exchange scene here as well.

Let's draw a layer and move on.

First, draw the center line of the head like this.

It's a bit of a strange design, but I tried to make it look like a sailor suit with flutters on the back.

Let's take the shape and move on.

I changed the angle a little with the deformation tool.

I can't see the skirt around here.

Let's transform.

I'd like to make this silhouette a little clearer, so I'm going to move the whole thing a little bit.

I'm going to fix the skirt a little more.

This is called mesh transformation, but you can transform it by moving the position of your favorite background.

It's the number of backgrounds that transform, but you can freely set the number of vertical backgrounds here.

This is a pretty convenient function, so it's useful to remember.

Now that we've done the clothes, let's move on to the hair.

I'm going to add some braids.

I'm going to take the flow and draw it like this.

It's an accessory, but I added this earlier.

In this direction, the direction of the line goes this way, so let's change the direction.

I'm going to turn this way and turn the line this way.

And next, I'm going to draw a face.

That's the shape.

Next, let's trim the hair a little more.

It's like this.

I'd like to add color to the character as before.

I'd like to make it look like it's floating, so let's make it look like it's floating in the sky.

It doesn't matter if it's right.

I think this composition is an illustration that makes it easier to understand how to draw hair.

First of all, the eyes go to the face.

Then, the line of sight flows along this line, and it is guided in this way.

And while directing the sense of depth with the hair,

And it's the direction of the arm.

And the direction of the skirt's forehead is the same.

It's like going back and back.

Legs too.

You can see this kind of line of sight guidance in this illustration.

And to give it a sense of perspective,

I'm going to add a border to the layer.

By adding a border to the layer,

If you draw it in white like this, the border will have the color you chose.

And you can change the thickness of this border here.

There's a convenient function for that.

So, even if you place something like dust,

The balance of the dust is one, and the image changes completely.

It's a lot of trial and error.

By placing this dust, the big one is in front, and the small one is in the back.

At the same time as the sense of perspective,

This also creates a line effect that leads to the inside.

So this is good. Let's incorporate it.
