There are no ordinary front lines
in war. There are only those that

are more difficult. Right now, this
is Avdiivka. Here the enemy does not

abandon attempts to break through the
AFU defenses and encircle the city.

The occupation army actively uses assault units,

throws a large number of armored
vehicles, using aviation and artillery.

Nevertheless, Ukrainian soldiers
continue to repel the attacks,

destroying the enemy's manpower and equipment.

For more than 14 months now, the Russian
army has not had any "territorial gains"

in Ukraine. Its last success was the capture of
Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk in the summer of

2022. Subsequent successes in the form of the
capture of Soledar and Bakhmut were secured by

the forces of the Wagner group and at the cost
of huge losses among the recruited convicts.

This time, as in the case of Bakhmut, Russian
propaganda hastened to announce the imminent

capture of Avdiivka. But Shoigu's
army failed in this "task" as well,

losing five times as much equipment as the AFU.

In this situation, Russian propaganda attempted
to portray the attempt to storm Avdiivka as a

success, here are just some headlines and
narratives : "decisive battle", "removing

the "devilish splinter", "Avdiivka is already
cracking", "Western weapons will not help, panic

is already being felt in the ranks of the enemy",
"The cauldron is closing in Avdiivka", "the

noose is tightening", "elimination of the most
powerful AFU bridgehead in Donbass," and so on.

In fact, all initial attempts to
storm Avdiivka ended in failure for

the Russian army. You and I have
already watched numerous videos

of the destruction of Russian
armored vehicles near Avdiivka.

According to Oryx, during almost 2 weeks of
attacks the Russian Armed Forces lost a huge

amount of equipment, the ratio of losses was
almost 5 to 1. 204 units of equipment from

the Russian side against 38 from the Ukrainian
side. And this is not counting the last two days,

which were intense for the AFU and dreadful
for the enemy. According to the data from the

Ukrainian side, only tanks and Armoured fighting
vehicles burned about 200 units for these 2 days,

which surprised even me, and most of
them were destroyed near Avdiivka.

As I mentioned earlier, Avdiivka is the strongest
fortification of the AFU, which is almost closely

adjacent to Donetsk - its equipment has been
underway since 2015. Previous attempts by the

Russian army to capture Avdiivka were made in
March 2023, but they also ended in failure.

But right now in the Avdiivka direction, the enemy
is trying to do a second take. This is expected,

but it does not make it easier for
Ukrainian soldiers. Now the enemy

is concentrating on trying to seize the
slag collector near Avdiivka Coke Plant,

which will give him full
fire control over the plant.

On the last day, the assaults significantly
intensified, but the Defense forces continue

to eliminate the enemy infantry with
artillery fire, forcing them to retreat.

It is obvious that the attempt to eliminate
the Avdiivka defense area of the AFU pursue

the main goal - the removal of Ukrainian troops
from the close approaches to Donetsk. Also,

the enemy forces want to completely
bypass the village of Pervomayske

from the north and move on the settlement
of Sieverne. But these are their plans,

which have already collapsed dozens of
