I remember I got the call,
and they said

that they wanted me
to come to the TV audition,

and I'd never got any news
like that in my life.

There was this instant bond
and chemistry.

Yeah, we know we're
incredibly lucky

to be in the position
that we're in

and we're just
really enjoying it.

We're trying to
make the most of it

and not take it
too seriously because,

you know, we don't know
if it's gonna last.

So we're gonna just try
and have fun while we can.

It felt like once it started,
it just went.

It felt like
we were unstoppable.

The memories, the
relationship, the experiences,

the countries that we saw,
the shows that we went to.

It was incredible.

It was so fucking fun.

We were really just as
tight as could be as mates.

When Zayn left,
that was like, maybe this--

maybe this is the start
of the end.

The more you kind of start
thinking, well,

maybe this isn't
gonna last forever,

I'm like, oh,
have we become the band

that we didn't wanna be?

Starting to feel disconnect,
and then all of a sudden now

we're talking about
maybe we'll go on a break

for a couple of years.

It hit me
like a ton of bricks.

I was not prepared for it.
Not at all.

- I knew how much
it meant to Louis.

And I thought,
this is something

he's really gonna miss.

- I know that it was a pretty
fraught time, really,

because they were
enjoying it so much.

He was having a ball.

- He didn't say much.

He didn't ever say, oh, I'm so
broken the band's finishing,

but I knew he was.

- So hi, everybody.

We just wanna say a massive
thank you to "X Factor."

Obviously, for us, this is
the place it all started,

and we think it's the best way
to end this chapter here.

But we just wanna say
thank you to all the team,

everybody's been whatever.

- And I think we should just--
a general thank you.

- It did feel a bit subdued
backstage, and all of that.

I don't think all of the band
wanted it to go that way,

but it was going that way.

- Just to think of it all
coming to an end was hard,

but I guess because they
had called it a break,

it made it feel better, but
it was a very emotional day.

- I didn't really know
what he would do after that

because he was so
committed to the band

and so full of it.

And I've never seen Louis cry.

And he was just there,

He loved the band.
He loved what he was doing.

And I think he just--

loved that journey,

there was still really

We didn't really, or at least
I didn't understand

what it was gonna be.

- I think the feeling that
I remember the most was

a little bit of anger
because, like,

I didn't want it
to go on a break.

It didn't just upset me.
It shocked me.

I wasn't prepared for it.

I thought for me
it was the band or nothing.

I couldn't really--I'd never--

it's not as if on the
five years I was in the band

I'd ever dreamed about
being a solo artist.

And not once, not once,
because I was so obsessed

with us moving as a unit
and being part of this team.

I've spent
all these years doing this,

and I don't really see
myself doing anything else.

[crowd cheering]

I didn't know at the start who
I was within One Direction.

I can remember singing
a couple of different verses

on the first single.

There's a lot of
pressure on this.

I remember the first time
we listened to it,

and I wasn't on it.

So then when we got a song
that we thought

could be our second single,
I went in with a producer.

All I want is just to sing
a bit of this next song,

and, like,
we're just gonna stay here

until I get it right.

And he completely embraced me.

He was really, really kind,
and we stayed there,

and we chipped away at it,
chipped away at it.

So I was there for a long
time, because, at that stage,

I was naive enough to think,
he's the producer,

he's putting it all together,

and he makes
all the decisions.

So he's gonna put
this song together,

and he's gonna put me
in that verse.

And I remember very clearly
when I listened back

to that song
for the first time,

and I've listened to the
first verse and to the chorus,

and my bit was gonna be
on the second verse.

And the whole time
the song was playing,

I'm just waiting for that
second verse to come in.

And I think,
off the top of my head,

it was Harry
on that second verse.

And I remember that feeling--

felt there was an element
of me feeling like,

it doesn't matter what I do,
I'm not really

in control here, and I want--

I don't see where
I sit within this band.

[pensive music]

I was like, well, if I'm not
gonna fucking sing, then,

like, what else--what else
can I do for this band?

And it always been in my mind
that it'd be cool

if we weren't just
a standard boy band

who just got given songs
and just sang them.

Like, maybe we should be
writing our own songs.

Though, I could feel, like,
stuff bubbling through us,

and I could see that
we'd got people's attention.

I realized that we
might be able to make

a few of our own decisions.

And that was the first moment
in my One Direction career

that I felt ownership
in what we were doing.

It almost felt more powerful
than I might have felt

had I sang that verse on that
single back in the day.

And all of a sudden,
I felt in control again,

and that's what the
first 2 and 1/2 years.

I just felt like I wasn't
in control of myself,

and certainly not necessarily
had an influence on the band.

When I think about how proud
I am of One Direction,

I think of us as a collective.

But if I think about what
makes me the most proud as me

as an individual in that band,
it's definitely having

the most writing credits.

That makes me feel, you know,
important to the band,

and that's all I ever wanted
when I were a young lad.

By the end of it, I knew
exactly who I was in the band

because I'm like,
well, I finally understand

what my role is
and who I am in this band.

I wanted to stay in the band,

but that was not an option
at the time.

[yelling]

It's only really
now I've left the band

that I see the enormity
of everything else.

You know, there were
definitely a time

in our career where we're
just breaking record

after record after record,
and it was just

fucking, like, mind numbing.
It was crazy.

You know, like,
the importance of those shows

to the people that were there.

And also the importance
of, like,

the whole culture
of One Direction

and the fact that
we grew up together,

you know,
buzzing the fans at me.

It was part of the magic,
was that you were going

through this completely
life-altering,

head-fuck situation,
but we amaze,

and that's what made it
feel amazing.

So much has changed
in this year, but actually

in a weird way, that's made
it so much more exciting,

you know,
because it's challenging.

But I think what's so great is,
about our relationship

as a four is,
any time we do get

any kind of stumbling
block like that,

we do all bond together,

and I think, you know,
that's a sign of good mates.

[crowd cheering]

- Oh, lads.

Ladies and gentlemen,
One Direction!

Oh, my God.

That was such
an emotional performance.

- It's like someone
going to you,

you have the best job
in the world,

go and enjoy
your last day at work

because tomorrow
you're not working it,

and it's like, you know, as
much as you want to enjoy it,

in reality, you just can't
help but think about everything

and think about, you know, all
the good times that you've had

and the fact that that
is coming to an end.

- Amazing.

- As far as I'm concerned,
there's no guarantee,

and there's no security,
nobody knows

what's gonna happen
after this.

Anything could come next.

Absolutely anything.

It's like starting again,
to be honest, for me.

I kind of just take it
as it comes, I suppose.

I didn't know what the
next two years looked like,

never mind the next ten years.

Wasn't like I was thinking
about calling it a day

or anything like that, I just--
I didn't see a way back.

Not even musically,
just to do anything.

Eventually took more
meetings with managers,

and I started
to feel a bit, oh, well,

maybe I do have
some individual worth.

And it was there when
he said to me, you know,

what about making
some music on your own?

And I was like, well,
I'll have to think about it.

I remember calling my mum,
and, like, it almost felt

to me like she'd waited for me
to go through this process

and have this call with her.

Because, like,
by the time I told her,

she was like, well,
that's obviously

what you're gonna do.
That's what you should do.

That's what you deserve to do.
You love music.

That's what you should do.

- For Johannah to pass
so suddenly, maybe six--

maybe five or six months
after we heard the news,

I can't even imagine it.

I still admire him
for all of it.

- I know when she was very,
very ill, she would text him

and text him and text him.

And, you know, I've seen
some of her texts to him,

and, you know, he said,
Mum, I'll be with you shortly.

Don't worry.
I'm on my way now.

- She would not have
allowed us to kind of sit

and let stuff
take over our life,

or let anything ruin our lives.

So she brought us up
to be strong,

and she brought us up
to look after each other

and just to get on with things.

- In the pipeline
was this "X Factor" show

that he had lined up.

I think maybe
Johannah died midweek,

and it was the next Friday
or something.

- ♪ What do you do
when a chapter ends ♪

♪ To close the book? ♪

- I remember watching
him perform thinking,

how are you doing this?
But I know he--

I know he wanted to do it,
and that's why

I was so pleased
when he hopped on it

because there was no chance he
wasn't doing that performance.

- ♪ Oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh ♪

♪ If it all goes wrong ♪

[upbeat music]

I wanted to do it for me mum,
and the bottom line is,

I didn't want me mum feeling
like what happened to her

was gonna jeopardize my career

because I just got
this feeling from her

and the things
that she was saying that

I was just to keep doing
what I'm doing

and try and, you know,
keep strong, whatever.

So really I got up on that day
for her more than I did me.

But still looking back
on that performance,

I don't think I'll ever
have a moment

that's more challenging
in my career.

- Simon, I know you wanted
to say a couple of words.

- Uh, Louis, you know what?

I have to say something to you.

I've known you now
for six years.

What you've just done,
and the bravery,

I respect you as an artist,

I respect you as a person,
and--

And, you know, your mum
was so proud of you, Louis,

and she was so
looking forward to tonight.

She's watching down on you now,
and you've done her proud.

- It felt like from
that moment, for years,

I couldn't win.

Life was just against me, and
it didn't want me to succeed,

and it wanted me to--

you know, it kept dealing--

I kept having all of these
difficult things to deal with.

So, you know,
finding out about my mum

was, obviously, emotionally
draining, and then going

through the process
of being with her

and she looked
relatively normal,

and then as she starts
looking more ill.

Like, that's obviously
more things to process.

And then, when she passes,
you've gotta process that.

And then when you're
at the funeral,

you've gotta process that.

And then it's not
too long after that

when Félicité passed.

- We did a lot, me and Louis,
worked together

to try and help Fizz,
and obviously it didn't work.

So I felt that.

I felt, like, kind of,

how could we not
get her out of this?

I can only imagine how he felt.

I'm sure it was heightened,
one, because he's her brother,

and two, because he probably
felt

the responsibility
from our mum.

- That hit him hard.

That hit him hard because it's
the trauma--you're dealing

with one trauma already,
then you've got

a new trauma to deal with.

And then it's just like,
my life's shit, isn't it?

That's how you start thinking.

You're losing people around you
that you can't--

you can never replace them.

- Life always
throws shit at you.

Yes, I've had maybe more
to deal with than most people

my age, but then when the
natural things happen in life,

where things weren't
going my way,

I couldn't deal with it
because it was like,

but I've already had
so much to deal with.

So when am I gonna
start winning?

- I think that was always
in the back for him,

you know, the feeling
of the loss from the band,

and then he's had
more loss on top of it.

So I think it was
a tough few years for him.

- But he was nowhere near
the person or the artist

he is now then.

I think he was
just treading water

just trying to find a lane
or an avenue to go down.

- He knew
what he wanted to do.

He just felt that no one
was listening to him.

I think that was
the biggest problem.

And I think what
he was struggling with

was working out the pathway
to do what he wants to do.

He wanted to go on tour.
He loved touring.

It was his favorite part
of being in One Direction.

And I think he was
trying to work out

how he gets back to that point
with the music that he enjoys.

And I think he was struggling
to find out how he gets--

how he does that.

- Coming out of a band
like One Direction,

and for the type
of band that it was,

you know, it's very easy
to listen to other opinions

and think, well, maybe
I can't make the music

I wanna make because,
you know,

it's gonna be hard
to be seen as truly

credible or truly musical.

Where I left
One Direction was,

I'd come off stage
feeling like a god.

Now I'm doing
my own performances,

and it feels
like the opposite.

It was bad. It was bad.

It feels like two different
versions of myself.

A good one that I
think represents me

and is respectful,
and then the other one

that is just bullshit.

Oh, fucking hell.

You know what I mean?

I feel a little bit
like, before now,

like I'm at football
and I've had a bad injury

for, like, a year,
you know what I mean?

So I've not quite to me.

It was very easy
for me to imagine

Harry having a solo career,
Liam having a solo career.

It was harder for me
to imagine, like,

myself doing that.

It was like, what the fuck
am I gonna do?

Then I'd see, like, on social
media, like, everyone, like,

all the support
and saying, like,

you just do what you wanna do,

we're gonna be here
for you, blah, blah, blah.

Then that's when I started at
least embracing my gut feeling

and what it is
that I wanted to do.

And I'd say the first
breakthrough moment of that

was when we wrote
"Kill My Mind" and "Walls."

[pensive music]

The momentum that I built up
from those two songs,

and the confidence that
I've built up being like,

well, this is a far cry
from the first two singles,

but it feels
really comfortable,

and it feels in line
with what I wanna do.

And all of a sudden, I could
have a vision for, okay,

if the first album
sounds like this,

maybe the second album I could
go a little bit further,

and the third
I'm a bit further,

and before you know it,

I'm doing exactly
what I wanna do.

But it was a process that
I got to just from having

the confidence of knowing
that I've got the fan support,

and obviously it's always
in the back of your mind.

You're like, well, I hope
they're still gonna be around

if I make the music
I wanna make.

- We're always
fighting the fact

that people underestimate him,
but I think that gives us

more fight, to be honest.

We've got a point to prove.

He's got a point to prove,
and I have as well in this.

I think we all--we want him
to succeed and be, you know--

be at the level he should be.

- When I found out
he was doing it,

it means there's gonna be
plenty of our fans.

- I think it's gonna be

When you're watching

like, proud because
I normally have been part

of that song and part
of that experience,

sure when I listen back to it,

and just get back in that band

and carry on singing
as we were,

But I was literally just

So it takes me a second
to acclimatize to the madness.

finally solo in the way

like, what has changed
for you?

What's, like, the whole
experience of just, like,

doing big things on your own?

- Well, everything's
different, to be honest.

I kind of had to learn

how to do everything
on me own, really,

as opposed to being part
of a group.

So, you know, that meant
writing the songs,

but also, you know,
sitting in interviews

and talking all the time
instead of some days, you know,

I could just blend
into the background

if I was feeling
a bit tired or whatever.

was never around,

but I never felt

like I missed out on having
the love of a parent

because he was my big

he was quite protective

I think he was about six
when I came along,

and then Fizz was born
two years later,

and then the twins,
Phoebe and Daisy.

But I think Louis
always wanted a brother,

and then he got
his four sisters.

- At times, I liked being
the only lad and being

to so many sisters.

brother of all of these girls

think he's looking out for us.

understood that

when she had me.

And I think any situation

there's such a natural bond.

And, obviously, you know,
I was her first.

But it was always just like
a best friend relationship.

Like, I can remember
when I lost my virginity,

I literally rang me mum
straight away,

dead excited, as if you would
telling any of your lad mates.

So Mum just--
she looks like Lottie.

how some families

- There's one common theme
that runs throughout, you know,

why I'm here today, and--

and also why I like to think
I'm relatively resilient now,

is because that--me mum
wouldn't have it any other way.

So she wouldn't--

be allowed to feel sorry
for meself,

but not in such a way where
I'd bury me head in the sand.

Like where they
were doing auditions

for the musical "Grease,"
and I think

I was on my way home that day,
and I called me mum,

which is always what I'd do
when I'd be feeling

a little bit kind of unsure.

And it wasn't
a great day for me.

I didn't really introduce
meself to anyone.

I felt pretty lonely going
from being relatively social

and popular at my other school
to, like, you know,

not really knowing anyone
at this next school.

And I remember saying to her,
you know,

I've read this noticeboard,

and I'm thinking about
doing this audition,

but the more I think about it,
I don't wanna do it.

And she didn't
give me an option.

She's like, well,
I'm gonna come pick you up

and drive you
to your "Grease" audition.

I didn't really know what
to expect, to be honest.

But fucking hell, like,
I was, like, blown away

when I did end up getting
the lead role of Danny.

That was the moment, in fact,

that was the moment where
maybe I allowed myself

to start dreaming.

- I don't know if I've
ever told you this,

but when you did
the second "Grease" production

at the Civic Theater
and we got in the car

to go home that night,

and I'll never
forget you saying,

"This is what I wanna do now
for the rest of my life,"

almost like an epiphany.

And you literally,
you know, went from there.

You never looked back.

But it was almost spine
tingling to look back at that

and think, God, how prophetic
that actual one sentence was.

- Me going down to me
"X Factor" audition was crazy

but still real life, almost.

So there must have been a time
where it became harder for you

to understand and comprehend
the world that I was in,

but it was running
away with me.

And I know that Mum
often got frustrated

because she went from policing
everything I did...

- Yes.

- To having zero control.

It was just one day, you know,
it kind of changed,

and I remember
thinking that that

must have been difficult,
especially

with how protective she was,
you know what I mean?

Always.

- Mum worried about you
inasmuch as she worried

about the knowing how--

how much it means to you
to be--

not the kingpin as such, but to
have an equal opportunity.

And if you weren't
getting it, she knew

how much it would upset you.

And, of course, it upset her
if you were upset.

- Yeah, I think that's where
I felt how I'd done by her

where I didn't think
that things were fair.

You know what I mean?

- That was difficult for me.

And also without having any
kind of understanding

of what I'm getting into,
really.

Probably if they'd have
analyzed why you were

like that, they
might have liked you more,

if you know what I mean.

You know, instead of just
thinking you were a cocky.

- I had the luxury
of a mum like mum,

growing up in Doncaster,

What's amazing for me
in a life that's so manic

and so the opposite of normal,
like when I've been on, like,

one leg of the tour, and then
I'll come back to LA

and spend the time
with Freddie,

and you go from, like,
one extreme to the other,

it's actually a really
comforting feeling, obviously,

but just that
it feels so normal

and that I get to have
those normal moments

of, you know, just taking him
to the park or whatever it is.

Freddie lives in LA.

My family live in Doncaster.

So if I'm with Freddie,
and I've been there

for three weeks, a month,
whatever it is,

I really miss my grandparents,
I miss my sisters,

and then when I go back
to England,

then I have that same feeling,

but almost twice as hard
with missing my Freddie.

So it's something that,
it doesn't get any easier,

but it's something, I suppose,
I've grown used to.

important to him.

Any moment he can get off,

he'll fly 20 hours back to LA
to make sure he can see him.

I think that it just shows
who he is as a person

because his family, his son,

all come well before
anything else.

and I spend all this time

with Freddie, and it just gets
harder every time leaving him,

the older he gets,

the more of the little lad

over to England,

you could tell immediately
it was his little one,

most of the time.

We only see him

and he's such a lovely lad.

It is Louis' absolute double.

- To see me family with him,
man, it was just amazing.

I mean, I'm lucky to spend
plenty of time with Freddie,

whereas me family, they really
don't get to see him a lot.

We FaceTime all the time.

And it was just magical, man.

There were little moments
where, you know,

I'd kind of just be, Emile
and Ed, just looking around,

and it was lovely, man, lovely.

Seeing me nan and granddad
so happy, me sisters,

all buzzing off Freddie,
and him just loving

all the attention
he's getting off everyone.

It was really, really nice,
really nice.

I started the writing process,

or at least I had an idea.

And where I've ended up
with this record,

there's definitely songs on
this album that, you know,

when I was writing "Walls,"
I couldn't have even imagined

that I'd be a part of.

I can hear and see
and feel myself in this record

much more
than I can on my first.

There wasn't months
of treading water

of trying to experiment
and work out

exactly what it is
I wanted to do.

I had a much clearer idea
going into it.

All the moments that
have kind of chipped away at--

of that self-doubt

and actually enabling
my confidence

naturally makes for better
writing because it means

that you're willing
to be brave

and you're willing
to kind of go,

not outside
of your comfort zone,

but kind of really, you know,
enable myself

to do what it is I wanna do.

into a bedroom for them.

And if they wanna do that,

We had the back lounge

like everyone else.

So on that level,

in the same thing

two feet away from me.

album and kind of giving

the fans, you know, the album
that they've listened to

for so many years,
we've also been trying

to make the new record,
which, obviously, on the road

comes with complications.

But the experience of Louis
being out on tour

and kind of
touring himself solo

has actually had some
influence on the new album,

so I think that
they've kind of

complemented each other
quite nicely.

Just little things
were annoying,

was too cheesy,

but I think it's
that first chorus.

Now the way they've
dealt with that

is by having a little break

before it gets to the chorus.

about this tour,

the chemistry between us

opportunity to do that yet

because I've been
in me head so much

about me own performance.

And as I'm getting
more confident,

it gives me an opportunity
to either interact

with the boys on stage,
or even outside of stage,

just have these moments
of togetherness, like today,

And that makes the show better.

- We got here on Sunday, and we
started queuing straight away.

and then waiting for,

and then took turns on the
second people, and four hours.

- We were worried

him being too tired, and,

exhausted all the time.

we have to choose between,

like, queuing and, like,
sightseeing because, like,

the shows
are so close together.

But obviously,
we chose to do this.

We're just very excited, but
very tired about everything.

because you were actually

doing what we're doing.

but we sleep on the concrete.

- We slept on the street
for, like, three days.

- Driving and flying.

And, like, obviously,
Louis is just, like,

to the next city,

immediately fly
to the next city,

get in the queue for that city,
go to the show,

- Europe upped itself
pretty much to an arena tour.

Even he was slightly shocked
about how big it was becoming

so quickly on the first album.

Because, you know,
a lot of artists

would go out on the road
and do a theater tour

with the hope to build
to an arena tour,

and we were kind of doing this
whilst on the tour.

- It was a really nice feeling
going from not touring at all

to what felt like
every leg of the tour

in terms of size getting
bigger and bigger and bigger.

So that if we'd had it
the other way around,

start with the big gigs
and then towards the end,

you're doing the smaller gigs,

it would have felt
much different.

The Wembley show
was a great show

because that's a very
historic venue

for all of us in the band.

There was a lot of big moments
for us in our career there.

It was often where we'd do
the "X Factor" performance

when we'd go on the show
and we'd perform

after being on the show.

That's where Boot Camp was.

That's where we were
put together as a band.

I can remember the shows
there with One Direction.

So, like, there is
a lot of connection

I have to that venue.

So to then be going back
and playing that show

on my own,
and just another moment

in me career where I just--
I felt immensely proud

and felt like
I'd got to a place

that I didn't think
I would be at.

It's like--it's the venue

that everyone wants to do,

You know, you see it
growing up, and you see it--

you see your favorite bands

Fan culture is just
that little bit more manic

and I do like it, but it's
scary in the context of,

It feels good to be
back in these places,

A, because I know that,
you know, I'm lucky enough

to have people here

a struggle trying to get out

to these places,

outside of the context
of the tour.

why I was so excited

what's the promo opportunity

be a part of my career

This tour in general
has just been non-stop,

It's unreal as it is,

but also not take them
for granted.

It's just some people are

like that before because

I wasn't just turning up
for a gig.

I was looking around at,
like, what I'd created.

It's a big space,
and there's bands

on the bill that I
really like, and even

And it wasn't until
I got out there,

and something as, like,
small as, like,

the burger van in corner,
and all of a sudden

it's starting to feel
like a festival.

- It just gave me
so much confidence

that if I could do something
in isolation

that wasn't necessarily
a tour show

but it still be a success,
then, you know,

that only left room
for positive thoughts

in me brain, really.

I've actually woken up
with a lot of excitement.

Like, I do feel really,
really good about doing today.

The whole tour I've just
been completely

kind of in awe of the fact

that we've sold
this many tickets for one gig.

So I've gone off on this gig
the whole time,

which kind of brings
its own pressure.

I'm definitely excited.

I'm definitely really,
really excited for the gig,

but I'm almost not excited
for the end

because that means it's over,
you know what I mean?

and until you get out there
and actually see everyone,

it doesn't really
come to life.

But that first moment
when you walk on stage,

that's powerful.

That gives you
a very instant feeling

of being worthy
of being on stage.

It just surprised me so much

to play in a venue
of that size.

Bear in mind, some of the
shows we played in America

is a 2,000 cap.

And that's only
six months ago.

Six months later,
and now I'm doing it 30,000.

- To think that it could
just keep getting bigger,

like, this--

how much bigger can you get?

- When you look out
at the fans,

they are up for it
every night.

What are we, like,
70 shows in now,

and I don't think I've had

- From the first show
in Madrid to then now,

the confidence and stage
presence and everything

is just, like,
ramped up so much.

record, he's on his path now,

And I think the authenticity
is even stronger

than it was
on the first record.

I think at one point,
probably when I met him,

what's next,

what he should be doing.

Whereas now, I think
there's a life ahead

that, perhaps at one point,

he wasn't sure
what that looked like.

he needs to keep doing

There was a long time in my
solo career where I wondered,

would I ever do this tour?

Would it ever happen?

And the fact that

an incredible amount of people,

my fucking mind.

I've just been stood for
however many songs we've had

just trying to take this in.

I cannot fucking believe it.

You're all fucking incredible
for making this shit happen.

Getting emotional up in here.

Just standing out there today
and trying to take it all in,

the fact that
they're all there

for my fucking gig, I wasn't--

I was not prepared
for that, man.

Like, just on sheer size,
it's very evident

of where we started
and where we've ended up.

And it feels like
everything kind of comes

to fruition in that moment.

You're trying to take it in,
you're trying to process it,

you're looking around.

Like, this is all
I fucking ever wanted.

I've just spent so long
working to this moment,

and tonight was the fucking
pinnacle of that idea.

What's just happened
in my brain over 90 minutes,

probably less than about four
hours for a normal person,

it's so immersive.

It goes right through your
body and right over your head.

You feel like you're just
right in the middle of it.

It's filled up--
me fucking life just flashed

before me eyes on stage.

And I'm taking everything
and I'm thinking about

that first fucking
"X Factor" gig.

I'm thinking about, like,
the first time I went

and did a live show on me own.

I just feel blessed, man.
