All right.

So we've learned how to draw the chest the pack muscles.

Now we've only focused on the male so far but on the female there's obviously breasts.

There's a lot of similarities between the male and female chest.

So let me tell you show you what I'm talking about.

So on the male chest we have these pecs but we have the same exact pack structure or chest muscle structure

as we do on the female.

So they're both going to have these pecs.

The differences is that females pecs are going to have their breasts on top of them.

So we still want to draw on the breasts.

I mean draw in the chest because the chest muscles the pecs are actually going to tie in to the actual

breasts.

So before we get started let's talk about what not to draw.

So a common misconception is that breasts are just very round objects.

And if you're drawing natural breasts they're not going to look like that.

So if you draw two round circles like this

that right there that is a big no no we do not want to draw like that even if you want to draw large

breasts on your character.

We don't want to be drawing them like that.

First of all you wouldn't have this kind of cleavage occurring naturally like that especially if you're

drawing somebody in the nude which is what we're trying to understand right now is what just the plain

body looks like without any clothing on.

So we want to do that.

And breasts are not shaped like circles.

They're more complicated forms than that.

So let's go ahead and let's start learning how to draw these.

So first let's start off by just drawing what we know for the male physique but we're going to kind

of change the proportions a little bit so it's more of a female physique so we're gonna draw the shoulders

and the neck and all that good stuff.

So let's go ahead and let's start by drawing ahead.

It's

all right.

Great.

So we have a good base here now.

We have the shoulders.

The color bones and we also have the pecs drawn in there.

So the main difference that I did hear from a male physique is that I just made the shoulders a little

bit more narrow.

So on a male I might have drawn those a little bit further out.

I also made the shoulder muscles just a slight bit smaller.

I gave her a little bit of a thinner neck and that's basically it.

So that's those are your main things and you're drawing this upper area between the male and the female.

Those are the things you want to pay attention to in order to make it look either male or female.

All right.

Next.

Let's go ahead and let's talk about where the breast attach so the breast come off right here from the

pink mussel which hangs over right there in there and they're going to come down kind of in a shape

like this.

So just like that just nice and simple.

So they are around but they don't just fall into the shape of a circle.

They kind of go straight down and then they come around like this.

Now depending on the size of the breast you're drawing sometimes they might protrude out over the edge

of the side of the body so the silhouette might protrude out a little bit more or if they're smaller

they'll hang more on the inside of the silhouette of the body like they are right here.

You also want to make sure that you have a decent amount of space in between the breast.

You don't want them right up to each other that kind of cleavage doesn't really happen unless they're

within some sort of clothing.

So we don't want to do that here.

We just want to keep that space in between there.

Another thing to pay attention to is the space between the collarbone and the bottom of the breast or

when we draw the nipples and between the collarbone and the nipples.

A common mistake will be that people will draw the breast too high up so that draw the breast more like

up here.

But there's actually quite a bit of distance between the bottom of the breast and the collarbone.

So we want to make sure that we have that good distance there.

All right then as far as nipples go it's just like on the male it's about a head down so if we were

to go ahead and mark the distance of the head and just bring it down like that it's going to land basically

right there on the bottom of the pecs.

And another thing to note is that the nipples need to be kind of more on the outside.

So let me show you what I mean.

So just draw one there and one right there just using kind of slightly oval shaped circles like that.

Now the reason why they're kind of more on the outside rather than smack dab in the middle is because

if we're looking down at the breasts something to go ahead and just kind of draw the rib cage of a person

we haven't gotten to this yet but the rib cage is kind of shaped like a round oval shape like that.

And if we're looking straight down on the person sort of looking down that's their head and their arms

or here on the side the breasts are gonna be sitting on the front of this.

And since this is a rounded object that means one breast will be kind of in that direction and the other

breast is going to be kind of facing out in the other direction.

That's looking kind of bad but you'll get the idea.

So since these are kind of sitting on a rounded object

what's going to happen is the nipples

the nipples are going to be facing outwards like this.

So you want to make sure that when you draw the nipples that they're not just directly in the center

of the breasts or off to the side a little bit and point out in opposite directions not completely opposite

but just slightly.

All right.

So how do we draw the breast from the side.

So from the side it's gonna be like this.

So let's go ahead and we're gonna sketch out a rib cage.

No we haven't gotten to this yet but we kind of need to do this in order to have an understanding what's

going on here.

So the rib cage is just gonna be kind of shaped something like this a little bit like a guitar pick

that's kind of warped just something simple like that then we can go ahead and sketch the shoulder in

like that.

The shoulder will come down into the collarbone so there's her collarbone and then it kind of protrudes

out right there all right.

And then the pack is going to come down and out like this kind of comes off the body a tiny bit just

like that.

And go ahead and sketch and neck in here as well.

That

right we won't get too much into this but I just want you to mostly pay attention to the shoulders the

collarbone and the packs.

All right.

So right here you can see once again this part of the pack plays into the breast and then it's going

to droop down like this

and actually we should probably make this just a little tiny bit lower so it'll kind of come down more

like this.

And then it's going to connect back up to the top of the chest and into the pack just like that

the nipple will be right there.

So about a head down roughly

All right so that's kind of what the brass is going to look like from the side.

Now again with all of these You always want to look at reference you know have to look at reference

every time you draw a character but when you're trying to learn this it's good to look at reference

because there's going to be slightly different angles that you can draw from.

And it's going to help you really build up that visual library of the human body.

All right.

So a way that I like to think about breasts is rather than just being a ball and you might have heard

this before they're kind of more like water balloons.

So a water balloon if we have it filled up with water and they're just hey it's just hanging down.

It's going to hang down kind of like this

right.

But then that water balloon if it were to let's say be sitting on a surface it might look something

more like this

and that's basically exactly how a breast reacts.

So we want to kind of think about a breast as a water balloon.

Now let's have a look at one simple way that we can help us draw the breast so we can go ahead and just

start by drawing kind of a heart sort of shape like this in upside down heart.

And I'm drawing this kind of slightly off.

So the senators aren't lining up perfectly because there's gonna be a s lightly angled at a different

view.

All right.

So we start off with kind of a heart shaped like that roughly.

And then from there we can start adding things so up here will add the color bones

right.

And then we have the Peck that comes down from the shoulder just kind of like that.

Same with on the other side

right.

And maybe we can actually bring this out just a little bit more

right.

And so there's just kind of a rough guide.

So we drew what we know which is the neck the shoulders and the pecs and then on top that we just kind

of drew this heart shape.

And so now based off of this we can go ahead and kind of draw in the rest of the breast to bring this

up a little bit.

So he's kind of lined up a little bit better

and so you can kind of think of the breast kind of going up like this kind of like those water balloons

I talked about.

So they're kind of more like kind of like a shapes but not egg forms because they're not completely

rounded they're a little bit more flat and they're just kind of go up like that that we can go ahead

and draw in the nipples nipples right about there.

The other one right about here and we're looking at this from an angle that's why there's that space

between there and there and there's no space on that side is kind of seen this one a little bit more

in profile.

And then basically this kind of just smooths up into that Peck

same with this one.

And again making sure that we have a good amount of space between the bottom of the breast or the nipples.

Either one just as General bottom area and up here or the collarbone is we want to make sure that these

aren't too far up

draw drawers head looking off a little bit more in a different angle just because

this is kind of more of a three quarters angle.

And again because these are natural breasts and they're not in any type of a bra or anything like that

we don't actually draw in any cleavage here we actually want to leave this space between both the breast.

If you were to be drawing a line in there that would be incorrect unless they're wearing some sort of

clothing.

You wanna make sure that you don't add cleavage lines.

I just want to have that understanding but not saying you can't ever cleavage to your characters.

So that basically brings us to the end of this lecture.

First thing is breast don't look like that don't draw breasts like that.

The second thing is that the breast.

They come right off the pack muscles so we see part of the pack muscle right there that goes right into

the breasts the nipples are angled outwards because the breasts are on this rounded shape of the body.

And so that makes him just kind of angle outwards and yeah and then another way that we can draw breasts

kind of simply in to block them out roughly is by using this heart shape which just goes to show again

that everything just kind of gets blocked out with simple shapes which then turn into forms.
