Original subtitles

Well, could you relate to any

of these pictures, or rather, would you like to be one of them?

I am sure it was thought provoking and may have triggered some dreams in you.

Now please write down what you want to be on a piece of paper.

Was that easy?

Maybe. Yes. Or no.

For those who already have clarity.

It would be easy to figure it out.

And for those who don't have a clarity, perhaps it won't be that easy.

Well, when I say clarity, I mean

they already have a goal in their life.

And to accomplish the goal, what is the most important thing?

Guru Dronacharya used to teach both of pandavas

and kauravas on combating skills and the art of warfare.

One day he invited all the students for a test

Guru Dronacharya

placed a wooden bird on a top branch of a tree

and decided to put everyone to a simple test.

He asked all the students to set that arrows

and strike the eye of the wooden bird.

But before that, Guru Dronacharya

asks each a simple question What do you see?

Many replied I see.

There are a lot of branches.

A wooden bird, green leaves.

There are a lot of birds.

And so on.

When it goes, Arjuna stunned.

He replied, I can only see the eye of the bird.

Guru Dronacharya was impressed,

and smiles. Arjuna could hit the bird's eye

perfectly. This story clearly signifies

how being focused will streamline our abilities towards the goal.

So whatever you want to be in your life, first,

learn how to focus on it like Arjuna did. Well

Is that

so easy for all of us to be like, Arjuna?

Can we always stay focused?

Has it ever happened to you that you have a clear goal

in front of you but aren't able to concentrate?

Let me introduce you to one such child.

He is Raj who has just finished his vacation.

And it's time to join the school again.

Don't you think going back to school after vacation will shift

gears for Raj away from all the fun he was having at home?

Raj is now forced back to organized and schedule routines.

While all this sounds a little difficult, right?

No doubt we all love enjoying holidays.

But going back to school and learning is equally important.

This is where focus comes into play.

We all tend to fall back to our distractions and often want

those things again and again, which gives us instant happiness and joy.

For Raj, vacation was giving happiness and joy.

But he also wants to be a topper for that.

He needs to focus on his academics.

So what should he do?

Any guesses? Yes.

First, define what you want to be, and for that

you must have a burning desire to achieve.

For example, you may want to excel in academics

or in sports, or for that matter, in music, arts and everything you do.

Kudos.

You're done with the first step.

That is setting up a goal for yourself.

So now what's next?

Well focus on the goal, concentrate and be determined.

The most important thing is say no to distractions.

Can goals change as you age?

Is it okay to change your goals?

Why or why not?

Energy flows where the focus goes.

When you focus on something, it gets bigger.

So did

we understand how important it is to know what you want?

Cheers.

The next step is to be mindful.

And how do we do that?

I know you are very curious to know.

In the next class will bring up more about the very common hindrances to the focus.

Make a list of carriers you can choose according to your passion,

interest and hobby.

How are goals important in life?

Setting goals

gives you , long term vision and short-term motivation.

It focuses your acquisition of knowledge

and helps you to organize your time and your resources

so that you can make the most of your life.

What is the power of goal setting?

Setting Goals

gives our mind the power to imagine our ideal future

the way we want to see ourselves in the years to come.

What does

goal setting depend on? The process of goal setting

depends on your individual personality

habits, routines and preferences.
