welcome back to another video tutorial

and in this video

I like to walk you through how you can set up

Facebook Pixels on your WordPress website

so this also applies to any pixels

that you like to apply to your WordPress website

whether it's Google Analytics

or any other platforms that allows you to track

using pixels

so just a brief background on what Facebook Pixels are

it actually helps you to track your website activities

it can improve your return on advertising

and eventually

help you reach new and existing customers

whether it's true custom audiences are retargeting

so what these pixels does actually

it compiles all these different types of data

and stores it inside your Facebook ad account

so whenever someone visits your funnel

you'll be able to see where they are from

what they do on each page

and the different actions that they do and so on

without the Pixel

it will actually be very difficult to

inexpensive to track all these different activities

and that is why

I wanted to show you how you can do this

by uploading pixels on your WordPress website

but for this video

it's about WordPress so

for in order to install that Facebook Pixel

you will first have to go to your dashboard

so this is your WordPress dashboard

log into the WP admin

and you'll be able to reach the dashboard

so what you need to do next is actually

create a Business Manager account with Facebook

if you haven't already done so

it's really simple

just go to Google and install

sign up in fact

for a business manager

so your business manager

is linked to your Facebook account

so if you have a Facebook account

it's really easy to sign up for one

maybe I could show you the sign up page

just for your reference

so yeah so you just head to business dot Facebook com

and then you'll be able to create a brand new account

where you're able to log into your Facebook

and key in your details and things like that

but once you've got that set up

you just have to go to the menu over here

click on pixels

and you will reach

the Pixel creation page

there we go

which is the page we were looking at just now

so what you're gonna do

the first thing

is go ahead and create a brand new Pixel

and put a name to your Pixel

so you could put different campaign names and

and based on your product or your funnel name page

or the page that you're working on

a WordPress

so just for demonstration purposes

I'm just gonna put Demo Pixel and click create

so there are different ways

on how you can upload a pixel on your WordPress website

but I find that the most easiest way is to actually

there we go

there are different methods to set that up

but I find that the most easiest way is to manually

install the code on the WordPress website

so I'll just go ahead and do that

so don't be frightened by all these different codes and

you know tech dragons

because once you get familiarized with these

different things

you'll be able to set them up for any of your websites

on WordPress

so how it works is

you will need to locate the header code of your website

and paste this

what we call a pixel code

so that it can be installed on your WordPress website

all right so

you can just follow the instructions over here

locate the header code

copy the entire pixel code

so I'll teach you where the header code lies

what you need to do is just copy the clipboard

copy code okay cool

so under your WordPress dashboard

in order to install that header code

I recommend

downloading a plugin to help you out with this

so the first step is go to plugins

next click on Add New

so what we're looking for is a plugin that allows us to

gain access to this header code

so that we can install this Facebook Pixel

one of the plugins that I find really

useful and easy to use

is this plugin call add funk hit and Footer Code

so what you want to do is click on install now

okay once it's installed you can click on activate

and there we go

so the plugin is now activated

so what you want to do next is head over to settings

and under hit and footer code

okay so this is where

you paste

the script the pixel code that we have just copied

from the Facebook pixel that we have just created

so just to recap

I copied the code

I've downloaded the plugin on my WordPress website

and I've

okay let me just go back and copy it again

and I've pasted it here

so once that's done

can go ahead and click save

so essentially

we have already installed the Facebook Pixel

onto our WordPress site

so once we've done that

go ahead and click on continue

okay so there are different options here

so installing the Pixel on the website

only allows you to track

for example

how many visitors you had for that day right

so what's powerful about Facebook Pixel

is that you're able to track different events

or actions taken on your WordPress website

you're able to see how many has completed registration

how many have purchased your products

and different things like that

so how how are we gonna do that

we're gonna do that by creating different events

so that it you know

informs Facebook that okay

we want to track this specific event

on this specific page

so I'll just show you an example

if I want to see if someone has completed registration

for example

opted into our opt in page

right so what I'll do is I'll toggle this

and you'll see different instructions over here so

I just want to quickly walk you through what these two

events mean

the first one is

if you choose this option

make sure that this action that you want to track

can be tracked when someone lands on a certain page

such as a confirmation page

or after completing a purchase

so for example

if we have an opt in page

and once someone completes the registration

and the next page that they go to is our thank you page

so if you place this code on the thank you page

you'll be able to track okay

Today 10 people has landed on my thank you page

and therefore

it shows that 10 people completed the opt in

the registration

so this is how we're gonna do it

so before I move on

I like to talk about this

is track events on an inline action

so this option is for actions that you want to track

that require someone to click on something

so for example

clicking on an app to cut button

or clicking on a purchase button

so whenever that action has been triggered

it sends information to Facebook

to let us know that you know

five people has clicked on the add to cut button today

and whether or not

that directly leads to sales is a different thing

because someone may click on add to cut button

but they have not filled in there

payment details for example

yeah so just to show you an example

if you click on this track event on page load

which is what I wanted to show you

what you need to do is copy the code over here

this simple code over here

okay so

what you want to do is go back to WordPress

so we've got the base pixel code

which tracks visitors already installed on the site

white hit code

which means it applies to the whole website

so what we want to do once we created an event

is go to a specific page

for example

I already have opt in page

and thank you page setup over here

so the event that we want to track

is whether someone has completed their registration

and as soon as someone completes their registration

they will hit to the thank you page

so I just want to go ahead and

install this specific event pixel on the thank you page

so you just want to click on edit

and you notice that

because we have that plug in install previously

this special section will appear in

each and every page of your WordPress

so that you're able to place special event pixels

which can track

for example

in this case

complete registration

so it's just really simple

go ahead and paste the code here and click on update

there we go

so that's how you install a Facebook Pixel and

if you go back to the Facebook Pixel Instructions page

one of the things I highly recommend is

installing a Pixel Helper

what this does is it tells you

it's actually a extension for Google Chrome

it tells you whether your Pixel

has been successfully installed on your page

so all you need to do is just go ahead and install this

Facebook Pixel helper

and install it on your Google Chrome

so I've already got mine installed over here

so let me just show you an example

if I go to Google com

the Facebook Pixel Helpers

does not have a number over here

because there were no pixels

found on this specific page

so

if I go back to one of my pages

my website that I want to show you

is that I've installed the Pixel

is triple I testoneoone.com

so because I've already installed

the Facebook Pixel code

you'll be able to

see that there are numberings over here

so you can see that the page view has a tick over here

that means that our site

White Facebook Pixel has been installed

and it's currently tracking how many people

is actually visiting your page

so remember

previously we've set up another Facebook Pixel

on the thank you page

now if you just hit right to that page

you'll be able to see that the number is not 2

but it's 3 so

on top of tracking page views

there's another special event that we've installed

because we've installed the complete registration pixel

and you can now see that you have two pixels

on this page

tracking just a generic page view and a specific action

complete registration

so that's really

the gist of how you install a Facebook Pixel

is really straightforward

but it's really really powerful

so for example if you are done with our setup

what I'm going to do is

I'm just going to refresh my page

sometimes it takes a while for statistics to show up

especially if you just install your Pixel

let's just see if the statistics has popped up

okay great so you can see that

you know statistics are coming in

and this is how powerful Facebook Pixels can be

and you can see how many people has landed to your page

by the hour

by events

and even dates

so you know

if you're just starting out

I highly recommend looking into this

because it's really simple

and in fact

it's free to set this Pixel up

only when you run ads

that's when you have to

you know pay for paid traffic

so that's really it on how you can create your pixels
