You should get to a screen that looks like this and you'll need to sign up.

If you haven't signed in already, click the sign up button.

You could sign in with your email.

Google.

ET cetera.

Now, there have been some times when chatgpt since it is a new product, they've been closing it down

or slowing down.

Who can access it because there are so many people using it right now.

But what I've found is if you check back a little bit later or if you have to wait till the next day,

you'll be able to log in and get access to it.

And it's improved dramatically since it launched in early 2023.

So sign up and then you'll get to a page like this.

It's super simple.

At the bottom you have the chat space where you can type in your chat.

On the left, you'll see all the chats that you've previously asked so you can keep it organized and

you'll see that fill out.

Throughout this course.

I cleared all my chats, so you see the screen as if you were starting like this, and then you just

simply start asking.

Now we're going to go through a lot of advice and different prompts to give you ideas for what to ask

Chatgpt throughout this course.

But a lot of it, a lot of it is just experimentation and trying to come up with ways to ask for something

in different ways, adding more or less information so that it gives you the results that you're looking

for.

Here are four quick tips, though, as you get started.

One is just know what your goal is.

You need to know exactly what you want, what you're hoping to get from Chatgpt before you start prompting.

You want to be clear and concise.

Talk to it as if you're just talking to a human.

You don't have to use like robotic keyword type speak, but at the same time you don't need to include

anything that is unnecessary or might lead chatgpt to giving an answer that you might not think is right.

So be specific.

Use keywords.

So add as many keywords as possible, but don't just spam it with keywords, write it in a sentence

using keywords that it will then be able to take and give a great answer.

And then my last advice is to test, test, test.

You'll find that over the next 30 minutes, as you practice with Chatgpt, you'll find better ways to

ask questions.

Another thing is, and I'm not sure if this is going to improve over time, but if you are asking Chatgpt

to do something that is long giving back a ton of content, sometimes it gets stuck.

What I found to be useful is just to tell it to continue.

Literally write, continue and you'll see me do this in the class when this comes up and it will continue

doing what its previous process was.
