So I reached out to Marcus.

Marcus is Mitch's dad.

And I told Marcus
that he might

possibly have
a granddaughter out there.

He's like, "Absolutely."

[Shelbi] Since Mitch
is not available

but Mitch's father
is available,

we can use Mitch's father

as a basis for comparison
to Moriah's DNA.

I never thought about it."

So, at no point,

"Maybe I should
look into this further

'cause that might be my kid."

All I can think is like,

"What do you mean
you never thought about it?

She was your girlfriend,

so I'd hope
you'd think about it."

It's almost like

I just didn't have
parents anymore.

[Ian] And it bothers me,
the fact that

we thought it was
a great thing for her.

to think that she was alone.

She felt like

[Moriah] This is actually
the first time

that I have talked to you,

face to face, on my own.
