How is it possible
the holidays are already here again?
Time flies, as they say,
but when I look back over the past two years,
it's been the happiest time of my life.
From our merry little wedding,
to our honeymoon in Bali,
to buying our new house,
and making it a home.
Being a stepâmom to Coco and Josh
has been a journey and a joy,
and my merger with Queen of the Castle
has totally taken off,
and we're going international in the new year,
and Tyler is opening another restaurant
in just 11 days,
so there's a lot going on...
...and even more to look forward to.
Cute!
Babe!
What are you doing up there?
I'm coming!
That's so sweet.
Look at this ornament Josh made for the baby.
Wasn't that sweet?
They're both so excited
to have a baby sister.
You mean baby brother.
Oh, is that what I mean, huh?
I want our Christmas to be just like this...
peaceful...
and relaxed.
That sounds good to me.
I mean, don't get me wrong,
I'm looking forward to seeing my family.
I'm just glad they got their own place this year.
Comment ça va, Ernestine?
Mon bébé, mon coeur, ma fleur.
What did you call him?
Ernestine.
It's the female for "Ernest".
Definitely not!
You love that name, don't you, baby?
No, he doesn't.
Excuse me.
I have a question.
Sure.
What's it like being pregnant?
It's like...
participating in a miracle.
You want to come feel the baby move?
Can I?
Come, come, come.
Oh, here.
Right...
âWow. âYou feel that?
This baby is so lucky
to have you as a big sister.
I really hope it's a girl,
so that we can be best friends,
like you, Auntie Treena and Auntie Kiki.
It is pretty special having sisters.
â âDid you feel that?
Yeah.
That better be the crib.
Ooh...
Yeah, I feel it.
Wild.
They don't even have a wreath
on their door.
âHey, Tyler! âHow you doin'?
I wasn't expecting you till later.
Yeah, I know.
Yeah, come on!
âHey! âWhoa!
Look at you, you're so...
â...pregnant! âThank you, Daddy?
Hey, you look stunning!
Oh, thank you!
And about to pop any second!
I know, right?
And I still have another month to go.
Aw...
Pregnancy looks good on you, sis.
Thank you, bro.
Hey, Daddy. Where's Mom?
Is she still in the car?
âShe didn't call you? âNo.
Oh, the cell service is terrible up there.
Up where?
What's going on?
Your mom's stuck in Utah.
There was an avalanche on the highway
and nobody can get in or out of the resort
until they clear it away.
Oh, no.
Was anybody hurt?
Thankfully, no.
Well, how long is it going to take to clear?
Nobody knows,
but, uh, it was like a pretty major slide.
What about with you guys?
Are you all settled into your rental?
You're not going to believe this,
but a pipe burst.
What?
The whole main floor flooded.
We didn't even try moving in.
And at this point, we got nowhere else to go.
I mean, don't worry.
We've got plenty of rooms here, and we'd be...
happy to have you.
Of course.
We'll make it work.
Thank you, guys.
They could have added some color in here.
So, what's going on with these decorations?
We've just been so focused on getting ready for the baby,
and we didn't want to do
too much for Christmas this year.
That's a good one, Jacquie.
âYou almost had me. âWhat?
Don't worry, J.
We'll clean up everything before we leave, I promise.
And we've got to be very careful
not to, uh, break, you know, Marchelle's angel.
âMmâhmm. âLet's go get it.
I'm going to go put this little one down.
Yes, go, go, go.
Just go.
I love you.
Great.
And there goes our quiet little Christmas.
I'm don't think this is Jacquie's style.
What are you, kidding?
What are you talking about? It's hilarious.
Besides, the kids are getting older.
I needed to up my game.
Well, it looks like it's all for us to enjoy this year.
Actually, there's an old man who lives up the road.
I've tried introducing myself a couple times, but...
Oh, well, that's too bad.
It's nice to get to know your neighbors.
Sometimes, you even marry them.
If you're lucky.
We're here!
Uhâoh.
The holidays can start now!
Oh, no, it was his idea.
Oh, Daddy, no, you didn't.
Didn't what,
just make Christmas 10 times more lit?
Did I use "lit" right?
No, you didn't,
and Jacquie's gonna hate that.
No, she's not!
Yes, she is.
I think it looks dope.
Thank you, Royce.
Now, get over here and give your granddad a hug.
Good stuff, good stuff.
Sorry we're late, Dad.
You know, work's just been...
a little hectic.
Very busy.
You make me proud, Ki.
Thanks, Dad.
Aw, I'm sorry, sweetie.
I didn't mean to make you cry.
No, no, no, um...
I don't know what's wrong with me.
I've just been an emotional wreck lately.
You know, I'm probably just overtired
âfrom working so hard, you know? âMmâhmm.
Everyone's inside.
They're waiting for us. Come on.
No, no, no, you guys go ahead.
I've got a phonecall to make.
Go ahead.
âYou okay? âI'm okay, yeah.
âYou sure you're okay? âI'm okay, I'm okay, yeah.
Kiara Liddle calling again.
Um, my sister's baby shower is in three days,
and I really need you to confirm
that everything is all set and ready to go.
You know, I hired you guys
because I was stressing out with everything going on,
and now you're stressing me out.
Call me back, please!
Please, no, seriously, call me back.
I didn't know Marchelle knew how to ski.
Yeah, yeah, well, she always wanted to learn,
so she and her friends took off to Utah
on a ski getaway.
Oh, that reminds me,
I should, uh, be filming some of this.
She said she didn't want to miss a thing.
Then, um, you should turn the camera this way, Dad,
'cause we have some big news to share.
Okay.
You guys all know that I was adopted,
and because of that,
I've always wanted to give the gift of family
to another child.
That's really sweet.
We filled out all the paperwork last spring,
and now our dream is actually coming true.
We're adopting a little boy this January!
Congratulations!
Oh, we 're going to have babies
at the same time!
Oh, I know!
Oh...
Hey, Mom, can Royce sleep over?
Oh, honey, we didn't bring any of your stuff.
Oh, don't worry about that.
You can borrow whatever you need.
âYes! âHold that thought.
Aw...
remember all the fun sleepovers we used to have?
I was going to wait till Christmas, but...
âYes! âCan you grab the top there?
âOkay. âWhat is that?
Now seems like the perfect time.
âRoyce? âThat looks so cool.
Pajamas for everyone!
Jacquie, we should have our own sleepover tonight.
You, me, and Treena.
Let's do it!
âYes! âYes!
Except I'm not sleeping in the middle this time.
Uh, you're the middle child.
Know your place.
Does anyone know any scary Christmas stories?
Scary Christmas stories?
Yeah.
Well...
there's an old man
who lives down the street
who never leaves his house.
What do you mean by "never"?
I've never seen him.
His curtains are always closed.
And he hasn't put up any Christmas lights.
He never has any visitors
except for the grocery delivery guy.
And the man who took away his piano.
Um... maybe he's a fugitive
hiding from the cops.
Or maybe he's just in witness protection.
âOh, yeah. âI wonder what happened?
Whatever it is,
it must be something really bad.
âBoo! â
âJosh... âJosh!
It's not funny.
We're telling scary stories!
It's what you do.
Only the finest for you two.
Here you go.
Thank you.
All right.
Cheers, guys.
To another Christmas with the Liddles.
May it be uneventful and dramaâfree.
That would be a first.
Mm...
What's the name of your new restaurant?
Colette's Bistro.
I'm doing my grandma's recipes,
but with a modern twist.
âThat's awesome. âCongratulations.
Thanks, man.
So, a new restaurant, and a new baby,
all at the same time.
Yeah, it's a lot, you know,
but we're going to get a nanny,
and we'll make it work.
Your parents must be really proud of you.
Actually, growing up,
my parents only cared about academics
and putting degrees after your name,
like Chris over here,
but it was my grandma who actually encouraged me
to follow my passion
and, uh, pursue a career in cooking.
Still, they must be proud of you by now.
I mean, they're flying back from Morocco
for opening night, so...
I hope so.
Nice.
Will be good to see them again.
Congrats to you, man.
You got your own baby on the way.
Thanks.
We're so excited.
Don't get me wrong.
I love my girls to death, but...
I always wanted a little boy, you know?
You picked a name yet?
We're going to call him Marcus,
after my dad.
I owe that man a lot.
I see you and Kiara are still going strong?
You could definitely say that.
What happened to the guy
who didn't believe in love?
Yeah...
You were right.
I didn't know what I was missing
until Kiara came into my life.
âI'm happy for you. âThanks, man.
So, what's next?
I'm looking to make it official.
I, uh, got the ring right here,
and all I gotta do
is talk to Marchelle and Wade first.
Why are you so nervous?
Didn't both of you get nervous
before you popped the question?
Nope.
Okay, fair enough.
I just don't always know what Kiara's thinking.
We all know she can be... unpredictable.
I mean, what if she says no?
All right, well, let's see it.
Show us the ring.
It took me a while, okay?
To find it.
Uh...
Mmâmm.
She might say no.
Yeah, definitely say no to that.
What?
You guys are the worst.
Mm...
So, how's work going?
âIt's been a little stressful. âYeah.
We've been trying to relaunch the website
with innovative AI functionality,
but the backend DB keeps crashing in Beta.
Oh.
I don't know what you just said.
What does that mean?
â âI'm sorry.
So basically,
the project that I've been working on
for the past two years
has been extremely delayed,
and we've been trying to have it operational
by the time I go on maternity leave.
Yeah, that sounds like a lot.
Plus we have Josh and Coco every other week,
and Tyler is going to be super busy
with the new restaurant,
and I don't know where that leaves us time
for each other.
Oh, honey.
Okay, no doubt, things are going to be different,
but you can still find the magic
in those little moments
between the big moments.
The most important thing
is that you need to make time to take care of yourself.
Yes,
'cause if you don't take care of yourself,
you are useless to everyone else.
Mmâhmm.
And I'm talking
it's the little, little, little things,
like if he lets you sleep in,
or a spontaneous foot massage.
Ew. Feet are gross.
What's wrong with feet?
I love a good foot massage.
As a matter of fact,
if you wouldn't mind...
Ew, get your stinky feet away from me!
I'm nauseous,
and those feet did not help.
Let me get this straight.
You've been extra tired lately.
âEmotional... âNauseous...
What?
I've got some extra home pregnancy tests
left in the bathroom.
No way!
I'm not pregnant.
I can't believe I'm pregnant.
âOh, I'm so excited. âYou sure?
I took two.
I'm pregnant.
We're having babies at the same time!
Yay!
It's a baby cousin for you!
Yay!
Get him, Coco. Watch out for the Lego.
What's goin' on in here, huh?
âOh! âI'm so sorry.
No, you didn't.
Okay, guys, I need backup!
Get in here! It's war!
Let's go!
Boys vs. girls!
Whoa!
Hey, wait a second. I don't have my pillow yet.
âȘ Inside, all the children are aâsinging âȘ
âȘ Outside, I can hear the bells aâringing âȘ
âȘ Everybody's feeling just right âȘ
âȘ It's gonna be the best Christmas tonight! âȘ
âȘ Everybody says they're gonna show âȘ
âȘ Running here and there just like a yoâyo âȘ
âȘ I can't believe it's Christmas again âȘ
âȘ So hurry back home, baby and bring all your friends âȘ
âȘ This old Christmasâtime... âȘ
âȘ I'm shook âȘ
âȘ Shaking like a sparkling wine âȘ
âȘ Yeah, you know that it's true âȘ
Mom?
âMorning! âMorning.
So, I just got off the phone with Mom,
and we all know
she's normally the one to organize everything,
but since she's not here,
she gave me a list of some Christmas activities
she wants us all to do.
Like what?
Like for starters,
today we're going ice skating.
Oh, my gosh, no way!
I love ice skating!
Yeah, that sounds like fun.
Yeah, we can go to that rink by the movie theater.
This should be interesting.
I haven't been skating in years.
Oh, you can hold my hand for balance.
Who's going to hold your hand?
Excuse you.
Wow, Baby, this is a huge list.
I know, but it's important to my mom,
and it makes it important to me.
Well, why don't we do this?
Why don't we have the restaurant
cater the Christmas dinner?
That's one less thing to worry about.
Good idea.
I could never do justice
to my mom's cooking anyway.
This is the part where you say,
"No, honey, that's not true."
I mean, it's kinda true.
Go away.
Yes, ma'am.
So, is everything's set for the baby shower?
Because after the wedding fiasco,
I want this to go off without a hitch,
and Jacquie's really looking forward to it.
I know she is,
and everything is under control.
All right.
Good morning, everybody!
I got some Christmas donuts for everyone.
Hey, now, I love donuts.
That's what I heard.
Oldâfashioned glazed, right?
âYeah, that's the one. âOkay...
This is the kind of thing we're up against, huh?
How do you think he got through med school?
Wade, mind if you and I just...
I want to chat with you.
Hey, uh, Chris,
what do you think about us adopting a baby?
I think that's a fantastic idea.
Thank you.
Do you think
you'd want to have a baby someday?
Of course. Then I can use the carpool lane.
But you can't drive in that lane if you're alone.
You're going to end up alone.
What?
Keep love strong and going.
I think I got a hang of it.
I feel pretty good about it.
Look at Josh!
Oh, Coco!
You're such a little master!
There's something I want to talk to you about.
Okay.
So you know I love hanging out with you, right?
Yeah, same here.
Especially our weekend workouts,
and coming to watch all your games.
You yell louder
than all the other parents combined.
âIs that a good thing? âYeah.
Are you sure?
'Cause you give me this look sometimes
like, "Yo, keep it down over there."
Nah, it's all good.
Okay, good.
So what I wanted to talk to you about is...
I plan on proposing to your mom,
and I just wanted to make sure
that you were okay with it first.
Of course, I'm okay with it.
Yeah?
âYeah. âOkay. Cool.
Wait. So does that mean we're moving into your house?
I hope so.
But your mom has got to say "yes" first.
Wait...
and does that mean I can have your game room?
Listen to you.
Okay...
Yeah. Okay.
But it's going to be our game room, all right?
Yeah... All right.
This is between you and me, okay?
Your mom doesn't know I'm going to propose to her,
so don't say anything, okay?
âAll right, all right. âI'll be watching you.
Oh, look at these two. Look at these two...
Oh! They're so cute!
Oh! Oh!
âDaddy! âDaddy.
â âLooking good, Daddy!
Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's all coming back to me now.
It's all coming back to me now.
Enjoying it?
You guys are looking good in your fancy coats.
Thank you.
Another one of Kiara's fabulous designs.
Faux fur, of course.
Of course, of course.
Okay.
Be careful, Daddy.
Hold on to the railing, Daddy.
I don't need no animal rights activists
coming after me.
Fabulous faux fur.
Yes.
Purposely fabulous.
âFabulous with a purpose. âI like that.
Whoo! I love that.
Such a smart lady you are.
âHey. âHi.
Aren't you coming skating?
Nah, I don't think so.
âWhy not? âIt's very icy out there.
Mmâhmm, that's because it's...
...ice.
See, that's the thing.
It's, um...
I like ice in my drink.
Okay, that's too bad.
I was...
really looking forward to having a skating buddy.
Well, honey, um... I don't even have any skates on.
That's okay.
Come on.
I'll get you some.
I'm drinking hot chocolate.
I'll take it.
Oh, don't be ridiculous.
You're already filming for Daddy,
and you shouldn't have to do everything, J.
You really don't want to go skating, huh?
No.
Okay.
What was that?
He just wanted to have a cute little moment with you,
and you totally blew him off.
I just feel really weird being around him
with this big elephant over our heads.
In the room.
What?
The elephant.
It's not hanging over your heads.
âIt's in the room. âOkay, listen,
you know what I was trying to say, okay?
I don't know why you can't just tell him.
Chris has always been really great with Royce.
We just never had any conversation
about having kids,
and I have no idea how he's going to react.
There's only one way to find out.
Leave Royce with us tonight,
invite Chris over, and tell him.
He deserves to know.
Stop worrying.
He's gonna be so excited.
You'll see.
I'm just really scared.
Of what?
I don't want to mess this up.
I know.
You're good at that.
See, why you got to bring that up?
I'm not trying to mess it up, okay?
You won't mess it up, you won't mess it up.
I promise.
âOkay. âOkay.
Dad, come skate with us!
Know what, baby, I think I'm good right here.
You're no fun.
I know, I know.
âBye. âHey, don't go too fast, now.
Hey, what are you doing here, man?
Why aren't you skating with Kiara?
Hello, guys!
I don't know, man,
she's acting all weird all of a sudden,
like she's trying to avoid me or something.
And why would she do that?
I don't know.
Maybe she found out
that I was going to propose,
and so she's maybe sending me these messages not to do it.
I'm sure that's not what it is, man.
She's got a business that's booming,
she's prepping a baby shower,
it's Christmasâtime...
You know, that's a lot on her plate.
Maybe you're right.
You know what it is,
it's that ring you got in your pocket
that's burning a hole through it,
makes you overâthink things.
You're a philosopher now, eh?
All right.
I don't know,
maybe I should, uh, just ask Wade right now.
You know what?
Maybe now's not the best time.
Yeah, you're right.
You need some training wheels for those?
'Cause I can go get some and come back?
You needâââ you need to just leave.
âThat's what you need to do. âI'll be back.
You'll still be here.
Get Jacquie.
I'm going.
I'm making a run for it.
Making a run for it.
Whatcha doing?
I just put this crib together.
What do you think?
What are those for?
You know, the manufacturer,
he always includes extras.
Yeah, I don't think that's right, Dad.
Maybe you should ask Grandpa Wade for help.
No way. Listen, I got this.
Take a look.
Okay...
So, is it true
you're only going to speak to the baby in French?
I'm going to try.
We'll see how it goes.
So why did we stop speaking French?
Because you kept answering me in English.
Mais maintenant,
j'ai envie qu'on parle de nouveau en français.
Okay.
On peut.
C'est à cause du bébé?
J'ai pas envie
que vous avez une relation particuliére dans laquelle
j'ai pas ma place. Tu sais?
I wouldn't want that either, Coco.
Do you want to help me lift this crib
and put it in the corner?
Ouais.
All right, en trois.
Un, deux, trois.
This was why you need to stick to restaurants, Dad.
What's Grandpa Wade doing right now?
I'll get him.
Merci.
De rien.
Ho, ho, ho, Merry Christmas!
Uhâoh, this, uh...
this looks serious.
It is serious.
What I mean is...
I'm seriously in love with Kiara,
and I want to spend the rest of my life with her,
and it would mean everything to me
knowing that you would give me your blessing
to marry her.
I'm sorry, but I can't do that, Chris.
What?
Really?
Gotcha.
Of course, you have my blessing.
I can't wait to tell Marchelle.
Can I get on that call?
'Cause I really want to speak to her, too.
Of course, of course.
She'd be glad to welcome you to the family, man.
Thanks, but, you know,
Kiara has to say "yes " first.
Good point,
very good point,
because she's turned down the last five proposals.
Um... what?
Five? No, she never really tââ
Gotcha!
No, it was only three.
Three?
Aren't these pretty?
Ooh, they look good.
Okay.
This mailbox is full
and cannot accept messages at this time.
Goodbye.
Everything okay?
Yeah, yeah, just confirming some final details
for the shower.
I can't wait to see what you've come up with.
You've been so secretive about everything.
Me too.
I mean, you know, how it all looks
when it all comes together, you knowââ
I was just telling Jacquie
how important it is to have a birth plan.
Definitely.
Now, you do have a bag packed
and ready to go at the door, right?
Not yet.
The baby's not due for another month.
Are you planning on supplementing with formula?
'Cause that is what I did.
Oh, same here.
Now, most importantly right now,
what kind of music are you going to play
during your delivery?
There's supposed to be music playing?
Hello?
We're talking about the first sound your baby hears
outside of the womb.
Now, trust.
You don't want it to be you hollering and crying
and carrying on, okay?
Sorry to interrupt, ladies.
Baby, you got a moment?
Of course.
"Is there supposed to be music playing?"
She has no idea what she's in for.
She ain't got the music.
I mean, I see all those books beside her bed...
She ain't got the music.
I just thought you needed some rescuing.
Thank you, babe.
Do you need anything else?
Yes.
What's that?
You.
Babe?
Hmm?
Do you think I'm ready for this baby?
Of course we are.
Say something to me in French.
Tu ne le sais pas encore,
mais tu vas ĂȘtre une maman merveilleuse.
I love you.
We're in this together.
âHey. âHey.
Oh, God.
My stuff.
Hi, sweetheart.
Okay.
Move all of this stuff.
Yeah, you need your own work space,
you know, a real design studio.
Believe me, I know.
There's something really important
I need to tell you,
and I just want to get it all out of the way right now.
Okay.
What's...
all this?
I wanted you and I
to have a nice, romantic dinner tonight together.
I got us some Chinese food from Hong's Palace.
Mm.
I see.
Nothing says romance like candlelight
and a little MSG.
Exactly.
Oh, I went by the partyâplanning place...
Mmâhmm?
...and it's completely empty.
I've been calling them for days,
and nobody will call me back.
Looks like they're out of business.
They're supposed to be handling the baby shower!
What am I supposed to do now?
Don't worry, we'll figure it out.
But the baby shower's in two days!
You know what?
I need to start making some phone calls.
Hey, hey, stop it, stop it.
We still have enough time to put something together.
I can't believe
I'm going to be letting Jacquie down...
again.
You're not.
Everything is going to be okay.
I promise.
So,
now, what did you want to tell me
that was more important than this Kung Pao shrimp?
That's still your favorite, right?
Yeah, I'm not hungry.
Oh, okay.
Um, let's just go right into the fortune cookies.
Pick a cookie.
Any cookie you want.
Yeah, I'm not feeling well...
babe.
Why? What's wrong?
See, um...
that's what I wanted to talk to you about.
Mmâhmm?
I'm not feeling well because...
Ooh.
â âOkay.
Excuse me...
You okay?
Yeah!
Will you marry me?
Huh?
Huh?
âHuh? âNothing!
All right.
Wait, hold up.
The shower is tomorrow, but nothing's been done?
Well, why can't the three of us put something together?
âI mean, how hard could it be? âRight?
Right, I could see
if, uh, my staff can cater and bartend, yeah.
Weren't ugly Christmas sweaters
âon Mamachelle's list? âMmâhmm.
We can get everyone to wear one of those.
We're also supposed to be playing games.
Well, what kind of games? Like...
âHow about beer pong? âYeah, yeahââ
Listen, we need to do some more research.
What are we doing about a cake?
I can have my pastry chef make us one.
Looks to me like you've been hanging out a lot
with your pastry chef.
Very nice.
So I put on a few.
Happens to a lot of dudes who have one on the way.
Never happened to me.
Not gonna happen to me.
Yeah, you keep joking, but I'll still, you know,
kick your butt all around here.
Ha! Let's go, then.
But I suggest you taping up them swollen ankles first.
Don't worry about my ankles.
âHey. âWhoo!
Nobody told me you guys were playing?
Yo, jump in. We'll play twoâonâtwo.
Wellâseasoned and wellâfed
vs. us two strapping young men.
Actually, I want, uh, Wade on my team.
That is some impressive sucking up, man.
Seriously, dude.
Nope. I just want to be
with the best player on the court.
Okay, I'm going to enjoy playing favorites.
You guys need to take notes.
This guy got something to prove.
He's got something to prove!
That's you! That's you!
Whoo!
It's all you, baby!
Oh, shakin' and bakin'!
That's out. It's our ball.
You got this, Tyler, you got this.
Ah!
Give it KG here, come on!
What are youââ That's a foul.
That's a foul.
You call that?
My house, my rules.
Yeah, let's stop.
Whoo!
What you all got?
âCome onââ âUh, it's like 20 to 3.
âIs it? âYeah, take some of this.
Here you go.
Jump ball! Jump ball!
âJump ball! âThis ain't football.
âJump shot. âWhoo!
You been in the kitchen too long.
That's what that is. Been in the kitchen too long.
Starting to get embarrassing.
Those cute phone cases are just for the kids.
But what if I want one?
No.
What y'all doing?
Well, we're still trying to figure out
the stocking stuffers.
I can't remember
if Mom wrapped them first or not.
I think she wraps everything.
Guys, she'll never know.
She ain't coming.
I'll know.
Let's wrap them first.
Y'all have fun with that.
I'm eating for two now,
and mama needs another snack.
Okay, stop right there.
How'd it go with Chris?
Oh, yeah.
I, uh, I still haven't told him yet.
Why not?
Well, when I was about to tell him...
âYeah? âI threw up.
That's not cute at all.
I know, Jacquie.
I'm just sayin'.
Guys...
what if this isn't what he really wants?
I mean, what if this is all too soon?
What if it's not?
I think you're stressing over nothing.
Yeah, and I've seen the way Chris looks at you,
and he is gonna be thrilled.
And you're our sister, and we love you.
Whatever happens, we're here for you.
That's right.
I just wonder what Mom would say.
Mom would say
you should stop worrying so much
and focus on what a joy this is.
And she'd be right.
She would.
Where would I be without you guys?
You would be incomplete.
Just like us.
JJ...
I've got to tell you something.
âOh no. âWhat?
You know how I promised
to throw you the most beautiful,
magical Christmas baby shower ever?
Yeah?
And I'm still gonna do that, but, see, the thing isââ
Uh, the thing is...
the thing is that, you know, the boys and I,
we've been feeling a little bit left out
from the baby shower,
so, uh, we're gonna get more involved,
and put our own spin on things,
right, Kiara?
Right.
Are you sure?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's going to be epic.
Epic.
Carry on.
Okay.
âEpic? âJust you wait.
Gotta see it to believe it.
Ah...
Yeah, I'm gonna go check on Hailey.
She's always sleeping.
I don't trust that one bit.
All right, so there's this game
where you can't say the word "baby" for the whole party.
Or what?
Or you lose a clothespin.
I mean, who cares about losing a clothespin?
Look, I didn't make up these rules, man.
There's also a "what's in the diaper?" game
called Diaper Surprise.
Ew, let's not play that.
Yo, can we just move on to the food and booze part?
Okay, this...
this article suggests serving biteâsized appetizers
and hors d'oeuvres.
Like nachos.
Yo, let's have a buildâyourâown nachos bar.
Yo... should we make piñatas?
âHey, great idea! âHey, man!
This ain't no fiveâyearâold birthday, all right?
This is for my wife.
So... no piñata?
No.
But nachos?
Maybe.
âOkay. âOkay.
Okay, everyone.
Let me get a picture with your toys.
Say "cheese!"
To send to Grandma.
Coco Bean.
Daddy, did you find a place to drop the toys off?
The fire station.
They're collecting for a local children's charity.
Perfect.
Cross that off the list.
Now, we still have to do something nice for a stranger.
Does anyone have any ideas?
We have way more candy canes than we need.
We could give some to that old guy down the road?
That's a great idea, Ava.
Wait, what do we still need to do?
We still have to do something crafty,
throw an ugly Christmas sweater party,
make some fancy hot chocolate,
play family Pictionary,
and be on the lookout for a Christmas angel miracle.
âUhâoh. âThat's such a long list.
Well, Grandma just wanted to make sure
we didn't miss out on the best parts of Christmas,
and she wanted us to remember
what the season is really all aboutââ
giving, caring,
and appreciating each other.
And eating cookies!
And...
eating cookies.
I'm really excited about Christmas.
What do you guys want for Christmas?
Me? I want mystery books.
Aw, some more video games would be awesome.
âCome on. âWhat kind?
I mean, the new ones.
The old ones are getting old, you know?
Or do you want to get the blue ones?
Ooh, those, I don't know, maybe.
Oh, snap. The sign.
Um, you guys, come on.
Whoa.
We're good here.
Seriously?
Okay, fine.
Here... we... go.
Huh.
Go away! Get off my porch!
Guys, run!
Hey, hey, what happened?
He wouldn't open the door,
and he yelled at me to go away.
For some people, this time of year is very hard.
But I love Christmas.
Well, of course you do.
You're from a big family who loves you.
Not everybody's that lucky.
That's sad.
It's very sad.
That's why
even though it might be hard sometimes,
we need to be kind to people
even when they're not necessarily kind back.
Understand?
Okay?
Let's get the toys ready for the toy drive.
Look how cute this diaper bag is!
Mm.
Jacquie's gonna love it.
Can we make the nursery footballâthemed?
What if Marcus doesn't like football?
Why you gotta crush my dreams like that?
I'm just saying.
I mean, maybe he'll like football,
or maybe he'll like science,
or maybe he'll love ballet.
Whatever it is, let's just give him a chance
to figure it out for himself.
Ooh, I'm definitely ordering this Chargers mobile
for his crib.
Didn't you hear me?
Um...
Hmm.
Planning on letting me win this time?
No way.
That would go against everything you ever taught me.
I suppose that's true.
Thanks for spending so much time with the kids.
Oh, you don't have to thank me for that.
I want to spend time with my grandkids.
That's what Christmas is all about, right?
Daddy?
Were you...
nervous
when you first became a parent?
Did you feel...
ready?
You know what I remember?
I remember when I first looked in your eyes.
Brought you in and put you in my arms,
and suddenly, this...
wave of pure love
just came over me.
I'd never felt anything like that before.
Trust me.
You'll know what I'm talking about soon enough.
You all right?
You never told me that story before.
No?
No.
Maybe because nothing's ever changed.
I mean, I feel exactly the same way about you
every time I look at you.
I love you, Daddy.
I love you, too, sweetie.
Now, let me think.
Everyone cries when I beat them.
Sit up.
You sure you want to do that?
I am absolutely sure.
Trying to psych me?
Oh...
Checkmate.
Yeah, that was...
That's it.
I'm only playing with Ava from here on out.
Hailey can hold on to her pieces.
Those candy canes
have been sitting on his Welcome mat all day.
More like "Unwelcome mat."
He probably never even opened the door.
I wonder if he ever opens the door.
You know, it's sad to think
that he might not have any family.
Really sad.
We just need to show him
a little Christmas kindness, that's all.
Yeah,
and then his heart will grow three times bigger,
just like the Grinch.
Maybe tomorrow
we can each write him a Christmas card
with holiday wishes in them.
Great idea!
What's the point
if he won't even open the door?
I know.
We could use my drone to drop them off.
That way, he'll hear them coming,
and open the door for sure.
First place!
âNah! Dang it. âSecond!
All we need now is some wine,
but I don't think I can get up.
Yeah, I'm okay.
I don't want any wine anyway.
What?
Since when?
Um, you know how last summer,
I said "no" to Royce and I moving in with you?
Yeah.
I know that's not what you wanted to hear,
but I only said no
because I wanted to do things more traditional this time,
you know?
Like Jacquie and Tyler did,
but...
But what?
Sometimes, things don't always go as planned.
Are you...
saying what I think you're saying?
What do you think I'm trying to say?
That you've changed your mind about moving in?
No!
Well, I mean, yes,
but that's not exactly what I was trying to say...
Don't you two look cute and cozy?
âHey, Julian. âHey, Julian.
Everyone's gone to bed, but I'm wide awake.
You guys don't mind if I hang a little, do you?
No, no, no. Not at all.
Not at all...
It's perfect timing.
Yeah, take a seat.
Uhâhuh.
Wow, check out all those stars.
Too bad Treena's not out here with me.
This is...
this is so romantic.
Mmâhmm.
Mm.
Treena, you got some hand cream?
Yeah, help yourself. It's in the bathroom.
Okay.
Girl, where is your baby at?
She's sleepin'.
She's always sleepin'. Is she okay?
I think she's just going through a growth spurt.
What are you going to wear to the baby shower?
I don't know yet.
I heard Chris tell someone on the phone
to wear their best ugly Christmas sweater.
No, he did not.
Well, throwing an ugly Christmas sweater party
was on Mom's toâdo list, so...
Yeah, but not as part of Jacquie's baby shower!
I'm trying my best, okay?
I really had a plan.
Girl, tell me everything's gonna be okay.
And actually mean it?
Jacquie's gonna kill me.
She ain't gonna want to be my sister no more.
Kiara!
I mean, Julian knows...
nothing about baby showers.
Let me get a picture of this little operation.
Cheese!
Perfect.
Does this count as "do something crafty"?
I'd say so.
Oh, speaking of,
I got a text from Grandma last night,
and she told me to tell you
how very proud she is of all of you.
Yes!
Wait.
What happens if we don't finish her list in time?
Oh, no, that's not an option.
There's only one day left till Christmas.
âJ, you ready? âYeah, let's go.
Ava, your aunties and I need to do
some lastâminute Christmas shopping.
Can you keep an eye on your sister?
She's just napping.
Yes, Mom.
Girl, put that thing away.
You're on that thing more than a teenager.
âLeave me alone. âOkay, let's go.
âOkay. Mine now. âKiara!
â âIt's time to have fun now.
No, no, no, no...
What are you guys writing, exactly?
Just something that will make him smile
so he won't feel so alone.
Hmm.
Done.
I'm done, too.
Okay, put them in this box.
Josh, you done?
Yep.
Done.
Wait, I have an idea.
âThis is perfect. âSpecial delivery.
That one turns off right now...
Now, this looks good.
She's a magic angel,
and everyone could use a little magic
at Christmas time.
And now we just have to make sure
that she comes back safely.
Why are you looking at me?
âHere we go. âLet's go.
This looks amazing.
âLook at this, man. âYou got this, Josh.
Let's just hope it works.
âWe have liftâoff! âIt's working!
You got it, Josh! Let's go!
It's going! Yes!
Now for the tricky part...
coming in for a landing.
Whoa...
Here, you do it.
What?
What did you do?
What did I do?
Oh no!
I can see it right there.
Grandmachelle's angel, too.
Josh, just run.
I bet you can get there and back
in, like, I don't know, 30 seconds.
He won't even see you.
His curtains are closed.
Guys...
it's Dad.
He's wondering where we are,
and it's time for the baby shower.
You got this.
Come on, Josh.
âSprint. âYeah.
Careful, Josh.
âOh... âCareful.
Josh, run!
Hurry up!
Wait for me!
Keep your eyes closed, JJ.
I am. I promise my eyes are closed.
Okay, careful, careful, careful.
âOkay. âKeep going, keep going...
What are you guys up to?
Keep going...
Okay...
Keep going.
All right, right here.
Okay.
Open your eyes... now.
Kiki...
âOh, my gosh! âSurprise!
Hi!
What can I say?
Nice job.
âOh, my gosh! âWhat can I say?
I love it! This is incredible.
The guest of honor.
Aw...
Thank you, ladies. I'll take her from here.
Okay.
Thank you for coming.
Oh, my gosh!
And you came with my precious little Bernadette.
We can call her Bernie for short.
Not happening.
Mimosa?
Virgin mimosa, but okay.
All right, so we have all these activities.
Can you explain this?
Stroller races.
Okay.
âYeah, uh... âSeems exciting.
âYeah, the boys love it. âThey seem to.
Oh!
Oh, my goodness. Okay.
As you can see, it's pretty intense.
It looks ridiculous.
It's intense.
Super intense.
Uh, over here, we have a station
where people can paint baby onesies
and hang them on a string.
Okayââ Oh, my god,
that one is actually really cute.
We should use it.
âHi. âYeah.
Oh, it looks like I'm winning that.
No, it's going to be a girl.
No, I'm winning.
Hi!
Good to see you.
Hi.
A nacho bar...
Yes!
Oh, you love me. You really love me.
I do. I love you very, very much.
Okay, now, what is this?
Uh, you know what, I forgot what this is called.
I didn't know how many weird games there were
in baby showers.
Yeah.
But you know what? Let's go inside.
Okay.
âYeah? âLet's go.
She's going to be spoiled.
Yes, he is.
Ha ha ha.
âStill sticking to that, huh? âYes, I am.
Oh, my gosh.
I can't believe y'all did all this!
Oh...
It's so nice, right, Daddy?
Looks nice in here.
Thank you.
Oh, my gosh.
Mm...
Oh, oh, the shoes!
They're so cute!
Let's take a picture.
Grab you a hat.
You always look great in hats.
Yes, why, thank you.
âReady? âAlways.
âOne more? âYes.
You like that? You don't like that?
If you like it, I love it.
Thank you for all this.
I love everything!
I'm happy you like it.
âTickle tickle. â
Are you sure about this?
Yeah.
Just as a decoy
until we can get the angel back.
Let's just hope that no one has noticed
that the angel's gone missing.
I'm so glad Grandma isn't here.
She'd notice,
and she would be really upset with us.
Yeah, she would.
We really need to get it back.
Don't worry, we will.
Come on,
let's go put this star on our tree.
Uh, uh, singing to the baby!
Singing to the baby!
Oh, uh, a lullaby!
Yes! Yes!
â âGood job, babe.
Yes!
Your turn.
Y'all always win.
I know. I'm sorry.
Come on, Chris, show 'em how it works.
What?
Singing to a baby...
Why don't you just focus on what you're about to do?
Let's try that.
Here we go, Kiara.
We got this.
Now, don't go embarrassing me like you did outside.
â âOoh!
Boomâching!
It's okay, Chris.
Okay, ooh,
Lord of the Rings!
Yeah?
Okay, um...
Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend!
It's good, no?
Okay, uh...
Diamonds are Forever!
Yeah?
Oh, oh! Uh...
Stop! Stop!
You can't use letters!
You're cheating!
That's not how you play the game!
Oh!
What?
Yes.
Oh, Kiara!
âGo, go, go! âOkay.
Kiara...
you make me laugh.
You make me smile.
You make me crazy sometimes...
Yeah.
...but most of all,
you bring so much love into my life
that it warms my heart...
...and I can't imagine
living the rest of my life without you...
...which is why
I hope you would do me the honor
of becoming my wife.
Oh...
There's just something I have to tell you first.
I hope it's a little threeâletter word.
Um, but...
but...
Oh, it's not that.
Don't leave him hanging.
Yes.
âYou sure?
âYes! â
âAw... âCongratulations.
Oh, my gosh!
âI love you. âI love you.
Yes!
Finally!
I'm so happy for you, Mom.
I'm so happy for us.
Me too.
Gaming room?
âGame room. âOh, yeah.
Game room?
Yeah.
Come here and give me a hug!
Aw!
Congrats, sis!
All right, wait, let me see the ring!
Let me see it.
Did you get all that?
Finally.
Our youngest baby girl is getting married.
Where are you?
Well, we're still here,
but at least they're finally clearing the highway.
I swear to you,
I will never take another trip without my family.
Ever!
Aw, you just keep your phone charged and by you.
You'll still be here with us.
You can't play music right now.
Everyone's asleep.
It's okay.
How am I supposed to dance with my beautiful wife
without any music on?
Oh, is that what we're doing?
Oh, yeah.
Mmâmm.
You know, usually, I'd say three's a crowd, but...
...for you, I'll make an exception.
Okay.
Well, somebody is smooth.
Je t'aime Ă la folie.
âYou want to hear it again? âYeah, say it again.
Je t'aime Ă la folie.
Je t'aime Ă la folie.
Je t'aime Ă la folie. Je t'aime Ă la folie.
Okay, I believe you.
Do you?
Ho, ho, ho, Merry Christmas!
âOh, careful. âBe careful!
I don't know if these will be as good as Mom's,
but I tried.
Oh, I'm sure it tastes amazing.
As good as mine!
I hope you like it.
It's a liquid breakfast for me.
Thank you, Baby.
A lease for a studio?
What?
I got you a oneâyear lease.
You deserve to have your own space,
and there's enough room
for you to hire employees.
Nice one, Chris!
âThank you! âMerry Christmas.
This is perfect!
And that one
is from your Aunt Treena and I.
Thanks!
This is the one I've always wanted.
Do you like it?
This is so cool.
Open it.
This picture was taken
on opening night of my restaurant.
I know.
The look on your grandmother's face
is everything.
Baby, this is amazing.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
I'm so proud of you.
Merry Christmas, Babe.
It's my turn.
Merry Christmas.
Well, at least we know it's not clothes.
Don't be so sure.
Did you... make a mistake?
I think this is for Tyler and Jacquie.
We're having a baby?
We're having a baby.
We're having a baby!
She's having a baby!
âOh... â
I think this is a Christmas we will always remember.
Wait, I'm finally going to be a big brother!
Yes!
Congratulations, baby!
I am so excited
and so happy for you both.
Thanks, Mom!
Thanks, Mamachelle.
Way to go, Chris!
â âYou're gonna to be a daddyâo!
Sorry.
I'm gonna take this over here.
I'll be back in a sec.
You did it!
âI did! â
Hey, Meghan.
I didn't expect to hear from you on Christmas.
What is it?
Is there any way she might change her mind?
Thanks for letting me know.
The more Liddles, the merrier.
Wait, you knew?
Yes.
Oh, my goodness. Okay.
Everyone, I need to talk to Mom.
Mom... Okay.
Thank you, Daddy.
Bye, Mamachelle.
You okay, Babe?
Yeah, I'm okay.
What's going on, baby girl?
I'm just...
getting a little nervous about everything, I guess.
Oh, of course, you are.
It's normal,
but listen, you have got the best doctor
at a top hospital,
with Tyler by your side.
You're going to be just fine.
It's not just about giving birth.
I'm scared...
I might not be a good mother.
Oh, honey...
You know, I was never like Treena,
who couldn't wait to be old enough
to start babysitting,
or Kiara with her baby doll collection...
...who was always a natural with Royce.
I've read every parenting book I could find,
and I still feel like I don't know what I'm doing.
It's true.
Not every woman is cut out to be a mother.
Mom!
Oh, no, no, no,
but that's not true with you, baby girl!
Listen, I have seen you
with your nieces and your nephew,
Coco and Josh.
You are going to be an amazing mother.
And listen, I'm gonna share a little secret with you.
No woman knows what she's doing the first time around,
not even Treena,
because it's scary, confusing, exhausting,
and you're going to mess up,
but eventually, it gets easier.
Listen, the best advice that I can give you
is to always lead with love.
I love you, Mom.
Oh, I love you more.
Now, listen, I gotta run,
because we're finally hitting the road
and getting off this mountain.
Okay.
Drive safe.
That is one lucky baby
you're bringing into this world.
I hope you know that.
Mwah!
Byeâbye!
Mm...
Yeah, I didn't want my staff to work late on Christmas,
so our Christmas dinner
will be more like a Christmas lunch...
if that's okay with you.
Of course, Babe.
Now all that's left on the list to do
is be on the lookout
for a Christmas angel miracle.
Um, we're still in our pajamas.
Should we go change now?
That's a great idea.
Why don't we get washed up and come back and down and eat?
Yes!
And, J, can I please borrow an outfit
from your closet?
Sure.
Let's go find you something cute.
Okay.
What was... that about?
Um...
come sit down.
Jessica changed her mind.
She wants to keep her baby.
What?
No...
I... I don't believe this.
She was so sure this is what she wanted.
I know.
We always knew
there was a chance this could happen.
Are you okay?
To be honest,
I'm heartbroken for us,
but...
there's a part of me that's...
happy for her.
Yeah.
I think we should keep this to ourselves,
at least for today.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, I agree.
I'll be right back.
Oh...
Come in.
Are you sure you want to wear that?
Yeah, I love it,
and, look, it fits me perfectly.
Mmâhmm.
So, what did you want to show me?
Well, I made a Christmas present
for the baby,
but it was so big
that I don't know how to wrap it.
Here.
Honey, this is beautiful,
and so thoughtful.
We'll hang it up in the nursery tomorrow.
Seriously, Coco, thank you.
I already know you're going to be an awesome big sister.
Well, I had some practice with Josh.
You want to have a seat?
So, pretty soon,
you're going to see me spending a lot of time
helping out with the baby,
but I don't want you to think for a second
that I love you or your brother
any less than I always have,
okay?
Yeah, we understand.
Plus, babies are high maintenance.
Yes.
Yes, they are.
Will you still have time to play tennis with me?
Are you kidding, my little Serena?
Our marathon matches
are the highlight of my weekends.
Mine too.
I love you, Coco.
And you know who else would have loved you?
Your greatâgrandmother Colette,
who you were named after.
You actually remind me of her in so many ways.
How?
Well, she was generous...
she was loving...
Such a strong woman.
Determined.
Some might say stubborn.
Is that familiar?
But that smile...
you have the same smile,
and that smile could breathe life
into a house.
I really wish I could have met her.
She sounds fun.
I know, Baby.
That's why I talk about her so much,
so we could keep her spirit alive...
...so that it feels like she's with us all the time.
You ready to go eat?
Yeah...
but I just want to say
that I'm not worried about the baby.
Any time I've needed you,
you've always been there for me.
You know that's never going to change, right?
I love you.
I love you, too, Daddy.
So good.
All of it.
Uh, Julian, can you pass the greens?
Oh, yeah.
Excuse my reach.
Thank you.
Kids, you see the corn bread?
Best thing about having your Christmas meal
at lunch time
is you can have leftovers for dinner.
Thing I like about leftovers,
is that you can take it,
and put it between two pieces of bread.
Uh, baby, that's called a sandwich.
I know what a sandwich is.
Son, can you pass me the gravy?
âYeah. âThank you.
I'll get that.
Hi.
Can I help you?
I believe
these belong to you.
Hey, everyone,
this is our neighbor, Lyle...
Hi!
...and look at what he returned.
It seems someone's expensive drone,
along with Mamachelle's angel,
crashâlanded in Lyle's yard,
and yet this is the first I'm hearing of it.
Uhâoh.
Well, uh, Dad, what happened wasââ
Would you like to stay for Christmas lunch?
âYeah! âYou're more than welcome
to join us.
Oh, that's very kind of you.
No, please,
have a seat, Lyle.
There's always room for one more at the table.
Yes, please, take Hailey's seat.
She's still sleeping.
Uh, thank you.
I'd love to.
I would also like to thank
whoever sent me those Christmas cards.
I particularly liked the one
"Why did Santa quit smoking?"
"It was bad for his elf."
Josh, you have got to stop telling that lame joke.
What? It's funny!
âNo, it is not. âYes, it is.
Hey, this is what I want to know.
How did you get, uh, this dressing
to taste just like Marchelle's?
I gave all her recipes to my kitchen staff.
That way, a part of her can still be with us
for Christmas dinner.
Nice one, Tyler.
Aw...
Uhâoh, Julian,
you'd better step up your game.
You're falling behind
in the favorite sonâinâlaw competition.
âOh. âOoh.
Oh, easy, you're in last.
Still ahead of you.
âIt's okay, Baby. âFrom last?
It's okay, Baby.
There's collard greens down there,
there's turkey there...
Does anyone want some cornbread?
Yes, please!
Thank you.
First one to bring me a sweet potato pie
gets second place.
It's coming.
âYeah? âYeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
âCollision! âAll right.
âThank you. âLook at that.
Look at that.
âWhat did she say? âShh!
Oh...
I don't know yet.
Let me open it.
Maybe Jessica changed her mind again?
"Dear Julian and Treena,
first, let me just say again
how very sorry I am about Marcus.
I know how crushed you must be.
I had another thought.
I wondered if you'd ever consider
adopting an older child.
There's a little boy I have in mind.
He's seven years old.
His name is Owen,
and he is just the most amazing kid,
who, like all children,
deserves a loving family like yours."
She's attached a little bio and a pic of him,
and said that if we have any other questions
or want to talk about it further,
that we should reach out to her.
We don't have to decide anything right now.
Do you play?
I do.
At least, I did.
My wife and I were performers.
My wife, Viola, was a jazz singer,
and I accompanied her on the piano.
Harmony to my melody.
I lost her last year.
Now that she's gone...
nothing feels the same.
I haven't wanted to play in months.
So maybe...
...now you'd like to try.
Wait, you know how to play piano?
Oh!
Please play something for us.
Oh, my goodness.
Would you do us the honor?
Yes!
It's just been sitting here waiting for somebody.
Thanks, Kiara.
You were supposed to learn.
Oh, wow!
That was amazing, Lyle.
You're so talented.
Thank you.
My wife used to have an angel for our tree
that looked a bit like that.
Now she's an angel.
I'm sure she is,
and maybe
she had a little something to do
with that drone crashing into your yard...
...so that you'd come have Christmas dinner with us.
Maybe she did,
and thank all of you for having me.
This has been very...
special.
Yeah.
I'll walk you out.
âThank you. âThank you so much.
âThank you. âWe'll see you again, Lyle.
Merry Christmas!
âMerry Christmas. âBye, Lyle!
Thank you!
All right, attention, everyone!
The kids want to put on a dance routine,
so everyone, grab a seat.
A dance routine!
What?
Yay!
Got a little ditty.
Why, thank you.
When did this happen?
Is Jacquie dancing?
Daddy, I dance.
âBut be careful. âYou got this, Jacquie.
We've really enjoyed having you.
You can come over and play anytime.
Thank you.
In fact, I've been searching for a piano teacher for Josh,
if you're interested.
Yeah, I'd be happy to teach him.
Great.
âThank you. âThank you.
Merry Christmas.
Okay...
let's get this music cued up.
All right, you guys ready?
âOkay. âWe got music?
All right, here we go.
All right, music coming in three...
I mean, I'm the chosen sister.
I've got this.
Two...
âȘ Jingle, jingle bells... âȘ
Hey, you okay?
You okay?
Jacquie, are you okay?
Let's go!
You guys go. I'll stay with the kids.
Where are the keys? âStay calm.
Where are my keys?
I have your keys!
And I told you to have a bag packed
ready to go at the door.
Call her doctor!
âCall Mom! âI'm calling her right now.
Okay! Got it! Got it!
Got it! Got it!
I'm timing the contractions here, okay?
âKeep breathing. âThey're having a baby!
Mamachelle...
âJacquie's going into labor. âNow?
She's starting contractions right now.
âOne... âCalling the doctor!
That looks like two...
I decided not to give this to you this morning
because, really,
it was a gift for Marcus...
...but maybe you can use it for Ava and Hailey?
It was meant to be for his first baby picture.
"Adopting one child won't change the world,
but for that child, the world will change."
Sometimes I think about what would have happened
had my parents not adopted me.
There would have been another lucky family.
But maybe not.
Who knows what would have happened?
This is still true, you know?
No matter how old he is.
What are you saying?
We could skip over the diapers and noâsleep stage.
And the endless loads of laundry
and midnight trips to the pharmacy?
Let me see the email.
What do you think?
It's a perfect fit.
Oh, thank you, Baby.
Hi, sweetheart.
Hi, baby girl.
Come, come, come. Come.
Come on, Hailey.
Hailey.
Okay, you get her.
Okay, okay, okay.
Easy, easy.
Here they are!
Introducing
Leo and Leah LiddleâBrooks.
Oh, I love those names!
Welcome home, babies.
You're in good hands.
Aw, thank you.
We cleaned everything up.
Like we were never even here.
Well, thank you for that.
You're next, Chris.
Think you can handle this?
Can't wait.
âOkay. â
Mom, our TikTok video with you going into labor
has already gotten thousands of views!
That's great!
And Grandma is just about to take off.
Anybody want to say any last words
that she can hear when she lands in L. A.?
Grandma, you missed everything!
Oh, no, she didn't.
She was right here with us every step of the way.
We love you, Mom.
âLove you! âSee you soon, Mom!
And you have to come back soon
so that you can meet your new grandbabies.
You know we will.
Um, and you gotta come see this baby!
I love you, Mom.
Okay, time to hit the road.
Wait, we have to take a family picture
with the babies.
Of course.
âYou're right. âOf course.
It's their first Liddle Christmas!
The Liddle babies!
All right.
Can I hold my little sister, please?
Of course, you can. Grab the head.
Okay.
Give her a little bounce. There you go.
âNow just flip it. âTurn it around, Pops.
âYeah, turn it around. Dad, the other way.
Uh...
âLike that? âThis gets harder every time.
âEverybody ready? âYes!
âCan everybody see themselves? âCan you see the babies?
Yeah, I think... Yeah, I got 'em.
Everybody say "Rumaki!"
Rumaki!
Yay!
What was that, now? What was that?
Rumaki?
You don't know what rumaki is?
It's a... Look it up.
Honestly, I don't know
how we're going to top this next year.
It doesn't matter,
as long as we're all together again.
A family Christmas vacation?
I'll start a group chat!
No rush.
How about Hawaii? Or Mexico?
Goodbye, Julian.
âHey, Princess... âI love you.
You take care of Little Princess.
I love you.
Say bye to your cousin.
âI love you, I love you. âBye!
See you guys.
High five.
Yeah!
Let's get the kids inside.
We have to take our family pic.
I'm going to get you inside.
One, two, three.
Brooks!
