In the year following the trial of DC Stevenson

Ku Klux Klan membership fell from over
six million to under three hundred thousand.

in 1928 Boyd Gurley was
awarded the Pulitzer Prize

for his investigative
reporting against the Klan

David Stevenson served 31 years
for the murder of Madge Oberholtzer

Four years after his parole
Stephenson was convicted

of assaulting a 16 year old girl
and was sent back to jail.

He died in 1966.
