a ferry of the Seikan line,

left the port of Hakodate
at the scheduled time

The typhoon was changing its route

and seemed to be heading
towards the south of Hokkaido.

to all fishing ports

from the south coast of Hokkaido
up north to Iwanai.

This unexpected typhoon
caused a great deal of damage.
