Someone once said...
That there are sweet, sour, and juicy cherries with a jewel-like glossy sheen
that grow like deep red broccoli,
Broccherries.
That there are crunchy and fluffy textured mushrooms
that look just like popcorn.
Popcushrooms.
The world is in the Gourmet Age.
The age of seeking out yet-unknown tastes.
With the goal of capturing the Mellow Cola,
Toriko and the others set their sights on Gourmet Pyramid.
After arriving in Desert Labyrinth, the place known as the Bishokuya Graveyard,
they were tormented by the hellishly scorching heat.
Suddenly, Komatsu disappeared amongst the mirage.
Zebra released ultrasonic waves, spreading his Hankyou Map,
and they followed Komatsu as he drifted through the quicksand.
After Komatsu had been swept away, Toriko and Zebra
were left breathless by the scenery before them.
Sealed Voice!
The Different Dimension of Gourmet Pyramid!
Oh, awesome!
This is Gourmet Pyramid?
It's so huge. It looks about 500 meters high.
It's way more. This is just a part of the pyramid.
Just the tip of the iceberg.
Tip of the iceberg?!
What the hell is this?
Is this even a pyramid at all?
What's with this shape?
Kid! Kid! Kid!
Kid! Kid! Kid!
Kid! Kid! Kid!
Kid! Kid!
Where am I?
What on earth is this place...?
I remember drifting away through the sand...
Toriko-san! Zebra-san!
I'm going to have to run for my life from any ferocious wild beasts...
But where did those wild beasts go...?
Hey, you wanna die?
What on earth...
Kid!
Zebra-san...?
You listenin'? I'm only gonna say this once, so you'd better listen good.
The place you're in right now is
the basement of Gourmet Pyramid.
Toriko and I just got to the pyramid, too.
This is the inside of Gourmet Pyramid?!
It's actually a kind of castle-like structure.
But it's a pretty weird place.
You gettin' this, kid?
You've got two things ya should be doin' now.
The first one is to give it yer all not to die.
Give it my all not to die...
And the other is...
to think of what food to prepare for the party after this trip is over.
Zebra-san!
Okay, got it!
Thank you so much, Zebra-san.
For throwing those reassuring words to me the whole time I was caught up in the quicksand.
Ya reap what ya sow, kid.
Just grin and bear with it for now. Got it?
Don't go dyin' on us or I swear I'll kill ya.
Though they weren't so much encouraging words as they were harsh words.
Okay, okay!
This is Gourmet Pyramid, so I've gotta try to help out, too!
While making sure I don't get killed,
I've gotta find some information linking to the Mellow Cola.
So Komatsu's already inside the pyramid?
Let's hurry, Toriko. The inside's fuckin' huge.
And there're a ton of suspicious shadows squirming around.
If by some crazy chance there's an idiotic beast that doesn't get scared off by my Hoedama,
I can't guarantee the kid'll live.
What's up, Zebra? You're being way more cooperative than normal.
That's cause of the reward I'm gettin' for this.
It'd be bad for me if the kid dies.
Huh? Reward?
Never mind.
C'mon, let's get movin', Toriko.
Even the inside's a maze.
Can you find a route with your Hankyou Map?
The mistake that people first make when they arrive here
is probably the assumption that this is the entrance of the pyramid.
This is the very top of the pyramid.
Top?
Yes.
Heading downward towards the main part of the pyramid
that's buried in the ground would...
be... right...
Then Komatsu is down there?
Zebra?
It's because I had my map out the whole time.
My damn voice is going...
Kid...
I dunno how long this map's gonna hold out...
First time I've ever heard of a pyramid you progress through by going downward.
Gorgops (Mammal Beast) Capture Level 42
We're the ones who're gonna eat you!
This intimidation...
It's way stronger than it was in the old days!
What are these patterns...?
They just keep going...
Now which way should I go?
Ow...
Oh, yeah.
It glowed blue.
I wonder what'll happen on the other side?
This time it's red.
It's a dead end.
Could it be that
the light is showing which is the better way to go?
Amazing... Just how big is this place...?
Just how many kilometers does it extend?
So this is Gourmet Pyramid.
It sure is a mysterious place.
Oh, yeah!
It's said that Gourmet Pyramid was built some several thousand years ago,
but it wasn't something that could possibly have been completed given the level of civilization and technology of that period.
There's been speculation flying about
that there might have been some connection to creatures not of this world
that exceeded the civilization of that time.
But the truth of the matter has yet to be unraveled.
There are legends saying that there's an ancient king resting there
or that there's a legendary ingredient hidden inside.
That ingredient must be the Mellow Cola.
I'll find it, no matter what!
Scary...
Taking a good look at 'em, these are some pretty unusual stones.
A slight scent of phosphoric acid.
And also... a scent I've never smelled before.
Wh-What is this place?
Now we've run into someplace totally incomprehensible.
What the hell is this room?
Woah!
Man, I sure am glad Zebra came with me.
There'd be no way through this maze without you.
Zebra sure is fatigued...
Ever since Komatsu got caught in the quicksand
he's had his Hankyou Map out constantly.
Which means that he's been releasing ultrasonic waves this whole time.
Normally, a person singing for 5 minutes straight
consumes about 10 kilocalories of heat.
When Hankyou Map is extended to its maximum range of 70 kilometers
it requires 60,000 kilocalories for 5 minutes.
And it's already been 5 hours since he activated it.
Which means he's exhausted 3.6 million kilocalories.
If I use a normal human like Komatsu as an example,
that's about 4 year's worth of energy that Zebra used.
For Zebra, who boasts overwhelming stamina and a really tough throat,
to now have difficulty maintaining the map,
he must have overused his voice.
What?!
Zebra...
Unicorn Cerberus (Mammal Beast) Capture Level 63
I'll get this!
This thing's dangerous!
Dammit!
Zebra!
With your body like that, you...
I ain't helping you.
That's just a way for me to produce some energy quickly.
So I can get angry!
Zebra, you can't use your voice anymore, can you?
Eat this!
I left... all of the voice I had left... to the kid.
What do you mean?
Are you saying your voice is completely gone?
I closed the map and lost track of the kid.
"I closed the map
and lost track of the kid"?
This footprint...

Welcome to the heaping helping of a talk show, Tinapan.
Today's guest is the Gourmet Knight, Takimaru-san.
Good afternoon.
Um... What's wrong?
This is the first time Tinapan
has had a normal, proper, wonderful guest on.
Today we can have a lovely heaping helping of talk.
I'd be glad to.
Moving right along, today we'll be presenting to you a menu for a delicious meal
based on the Gourmet Knight's doctrine,
in the form of a ranking in the order of Takimaru-san's recommendations.
I think we'd like to expose Takimaru-san's tastes.
Oh, what could they be?!
Let's dive right in. Third is...
Ta-da!
What's this?
These are horsetail beans.
The more you bite it, the more the simple scent of an embankment comes out...
Have one, Tina-san.
I thought this was supposed to be a ranking of a menu for a meal...
Okay, let's pull ourselves together!
Second!
Ta-da!
Beans?
These are gravel beans.
When you eat them, your jaw naturally gets stronger.
Have some, Tina-san.
Y-You're kidding me!
And, and, now we finally have a surprising ultra-luxurious ingredient!
T-Ta-da!
Beans?!
These are the best three of my recommended menu.
Please, eat up.
Now then, we're going on to the next corner.
What could the suspicious shadow sneaking up on Komatsu be?
Toriko, Zebra, get there quick!
Bizarre!
The Mysterious Ancient Document and the Creature in the Coffin!
Next time will be a heaping helping of fun, too!
