Designers, as you can see,

These young ladies are from
St. John Vianney high school in New Jersey.

And you will be making...

a prom dress for them.

The other designers actually seemed
to be kind of excited.

But, I think prom is horrible and tacky and gross.

These ladies had a chance to have a little look
with your portfolios.

And they have made some decisions on
who they would like to work with.

Oh, god. I don't know what the poor girl
who chose me must have been thinking,

because my portfolio is full of crazy stuffs.

We have to re-gear your thinking.

We have to consider that they are younger,

and I definitely think that the dress
should be more modest.

I come from New Jersey,
so I know that all Jersey high school thing.

And prom of New Jersey is basically
everyone goes tanning.

Everyone basically steals booze from their parents,

so it just freaks me out,
to see these kids are so young,

and they're like about to engage in the prom,
and hope that their parents are watching this,

but I'm sorry,
I will put a chastity belt inside my garment.

I can go either most time, something fitted.

Bianca does not like things that are too traditional,
which is perfect.

that had many specific requests,

I love the dress.

She wanted something Grecian.

And she mentioned hollywood glamour.

I think it fits her body really good,
and I personally love it.

Nicole, is this the dress
that you asked Sweet P to make for you?

Yeah, this is exactly what I wanted.

The choice of the color,
I think it's really good,

it's really very nice, you know, on the skin.

Overall, I would say this is pretty dress.

It's a little sophiscated for 17 year old.

I guess it's my point of view.

Yeah, but the fabric is very beautiful,
it's very pretty.

And as far as being adult,
well, let's be honest.

To me, look what hollywood eighteen is.

Do me a favor, turn around.

I think overall it's really done well,
it's very flattering on her.

- I think you look gorgeous.

Kevin, tell me about your dress.

Tizi walked in, and I saw she was...
she was Filipino.

And I wanted to do something
that would complement her skin color.

So I immediately thought of red.

I'm not crazy about that color at all.

She looks much older than her 17 years.

The dress to begin with is not really young looking.

And I think that the cut of the dress is adding
to the kind of matronliness of it.

And the other thing is,
I am distracted by the hemming.

I put a stitch on the bottom,
I didn't fold down, because I was scared...

it was gonna make it worse.

It also, you know, it looks cheap to me.

I agree. I agree with all of you.

Victorya. Is this the dress
that Jessica asked for?

I think it was the girl that she wanted to
project herself to be for prom night.

I think that it's chic and young
at the same time,

she looks like she's gonna have a good time in that.

I really like the choice of color.

It looks great on her.

it's appropriate.

I would just be honest, it was very hard.

I like the color, and I love the work

When I met Bianca,

the first thing she emphasize is comfort,

It's really a draped cocktail dress.

First of all, I think she finished it meticulously,
it fit her client very very well.

It's not easy to make a simple dress like that.

And then there was Victorya.

Really really cute.

And it was really gutsy of her
to go with something that bright.

It just looks like what a modern prom dress
should look like.

I think she looks adorable,
and the whole package was right.

With the rest of the designers,
we had some problems.

For example, Rami.

I think that the dress was beautifully draped,
but the color was old, you know.

Well, also then he excuses
"I don't work with young girls."

You know, the challenge is a prom dress.

He was just designing for Rami,

Then you have someone like Christian
who clearly had a battle with his model.

I understand she was difficult,
and she had a personality,

but he kind of blamed everything on Maddie.
