I'm a singer-songwriter.

from all the thousands

is an original song

that I wrote
and it's called "Daydream."

And it's kind of evolved
over the past couple of years,

the meaning of it for me.

at a time in my life

when things were
really beautiful.

And I was essentially living
my daydream.

I had a major label
record deal.

I had a publishing deal.

I had butterflies
I was hatching.

It was just--it was magical.
It was just so beautiful.

where it originated.

And then my life
flipped upside down,

and my mom was diagnosed
with cancer.

her full-time caretaker.

during that,

a bit of a blessing,

some extra time

to really be there for her.

- About ten minutes
after I heard her sing,

I went
to my mother's computer,

I put on the karaoke
for "O Mio Babbino Caro,"

and I started, you know,
singing along with it...

when I as 12-years-old.

- This "AGT" is making stars.
You know what I mean?

So many people
growing up on it.

of doing impersonations.

I love that I was part
of your act a little bit.

And my favorite, I think,
