- What about Knox?

He said he did something,
he made a mistake?

- There was a guy in our
unit that everybody loved.

His name was Lopez,

handing out candy to all
the local kids on base.

a kid to kill him.

And Knox decided to take
matters into his own hands,

so he went out one night,
off the books,

and he found
the man responsible.

And he killed everyone
in the house.

Everyone.

He served out his tour.

- Yeah, he covered it up.

He lied.

The truth is,
I could have done something.

I should have.

And I didn't.

I like that he told you it was
a mistake, though, that's good.

He probably believes that too.

It's insane
what we tell ourselves.

And it was straight up murder.

It was murder and lies.
