Original subtitles

One of the very first things that you see on our site when you land on the home page is an animation

animations are a great way to add some personality and professionalism to your Web site.

And now thanks to an After Effects plugin it's actually very easy to export your animations and use

them in reactor applications.

This after effects plugin is called body moving and we'll be going through the download and setup of

body moving as well as actually using it to export our animation.

We won't actually be doing anything that you'll need for the course though.

I'm just walking you through the process all of the animations in the project 1 files are already exported

correctly so if you don't have after effects or you just want to skip this one feel free to do so.

But for those of you who want to stick around and learn how to export these animations let's go ahead

and move over to the body moving page where it gives us a little bit more information about what it

can do.

I'm here at the body move in download page on A E scripts dot com slash body moving.

And here it gives us all of the different features that are supported by body move in that you can use

in your After Effects animations.

This is very important to note that there are some limitations on the types of animations that you can

actually export using body moving so you'll always want to make sure to check here if you're planning

to work on a new animation or projects because they routinely update the library and add support for

more features generally.

For most basic animations where you just have shapes and you're moving them around it's really going

to work perfectly and you're not going to have to worry about this too much.

But if you're going in and using a lot of expressions in your animations you're going to want to be

careful because expressions are only very partially supported and are known to be pretty troublesome.

That being said you can still do a ton with some basic animation styles like changing the opacity position

scale and rotation and that allows you to really create a lot of complex animations with just basic

line art or even illustrations.

So what's come up to the top again.

And up here you can see that this is actually a name your own price plugin and so if you can I would

highly encourage you to donate to the author because they really have done a great job in putting this

together and it really does a lot for a lot of people.

So if you can support them definitely go ahead and do so but otherwise you can actually just enter for

zero dollars and you can add this to your cart and that'll put it up here where you can then go through

and go through the checkout process and it's really simple.

I don't think that they even ask for any payment information since you're just getting a free plug in

but you do have to make a free account to download this.

So go in and make an account and then sign in using the account credentials that you would like and

once that was in it looks like it might need a billing address.

But once you hit continue in the payment information you see it says no payment information required

so you won't have to worry about that.

You can just continue and then that'll take you over to the review page where you can see it is a grand

total of zero dollars.

So that is free and you can place your order.

And so once that refreshes and it has been purchased you can go over to the corner up here your name.

You can click that to go to your dashboard.

And here it will show you your different orders.

And so if I come to the one that I just did today I can see that is the body move in plug in.

And if I actually just come over here to my downloads and licenses under my account you can see the

body move and plug in and I can download it right there.

So you press download and then download it by clicking the name right there.

And this will download a zip file with the latest version of body move in the time of recording This

is five point five point nine.

And once that's downloaded we'll actually get to close this out and we'll come over to a another page

really quick on this Web site which you can get to at a e Scripps dot com slash learn slash Z X P dash

installer.

And this is going to act as essentially a plug in manager for after effects for you to install body

moving.

So all download the mac version and once that finishes I can go ahead and open up that DMV and once

that gets mounted that will open up the installer and here I can go ahead and just drag that over into

my applications folder and I actually already have it.

So it's telling me here that there's already an existing copy but I'll just go ahead and replace the

existing copy and that dropped in the newest version of the installer.

And so I can come over to the applications folder and scroll all the way to the bottom at the Z XP installer

and go ahead and open that up.

Now you might get this warning saying that I downloaded it from the internet but I know that.

So it's open that up anyways.

And now let's go ahead and in your downloads go ahead and unzip the body move in a package that we had

downloaded and you'll open up this folder with the body moving plug in inside which is this body move

in Z XP file and so that's why we have the Z XP installer and so all you have to do is go ahead and

drag this file over to the installer and it'll ask you if you're ready to install body move in for after

effects and we'll go ahead and click OK to do so it will ask for your administrator password.

So go ahead and provide those credentials

and if it was successful then you will see this notification saying that it was installed successfully

and you can find it under window extensions.

So let's go ahead and close this out.

We don't need the DSP installer open anymore.

Some go ahead and quit that and close this fine new window close that finder window.

And I'm going to actually open up after effects now and here I have loaded up my landing page animation.

So this is that animation that users will see when they first land on the screen and a body moving makes

it really easy to get out of here and into a react application.

So it said that it was located under window and then extensions body move in.

So we can click that and then will open up this little window and it'll load all of the compositions

in your project allowing you to select which one you would like to export.

So I'm going to make sure that this first composition is selected and then you can click the three little

dots right here you can click this to set a safe location.

So the output folder that you would like the exported file to be saved in and I'm just going to leave

it on my desktop and all you have to do is then go up and press render and you can see that runs very

quickly and it's already finished so you can come and press this little icon to open up the folder where

the files were just output to as Jason for your application it also exported the images that it uses

for the animation since these were created in Illustrator and these are actually referenced in the the

Jason File.

So to get this all ready and into our project we're actually going to have to tweak it just a little

bit and I'll tell you why that is.

And show you how to do it in the next video.
