All language subtitles for 5. Analyzing the UK market-en_US

In this video, I would like to cover with you the UK market.

You probably ask yourself which market is better?

Should I publish on the American market?

Should I publish on the UK market?

Is even the German market better?

Which one is the one that I should focus on now?

Generally speaking, these are the only three markets that we can analyze with Publisher Rocket.

But by the way, of course, there are a lot more markets.

So, for instance, you can also publish on Amazon dot Amex, or you can publish on Amazon dot JP.

So, for instance, for Japan or for instance, dot.

Yes, in Spanish speaking countries, you can publish on lots of different kinds of Amazon.

You can also publish in Italy, you can publish in lots of places.

And the problem is that in a lot of cases, actually, these markets will be very profitable in specific

niches, and it's very difficult to actually figure out which those niches aren't.

Now, I already published Locomote books for a very long time, and I can tell you this, you will find

the most profitable niches in most cases in the American market, in the German market and in the UK

market.

That is also why this tool focuses on these markets.

But if you actually publish your books in multiple languages, you will also see that some of these

books in niches that perhaps don't very they don't perform very well on the American market will actually

perform very well, for instance, like in Japan or in Spain or in Italy or any other country around

the world.

So it's interesting.

Sometimes books do very well on the U.S. market, but they don't well and don't do well in other places

and other books, then do very well in other places.

But they don't do well, for instance, in the UK or in Germany or in the U.S..

So later on, we are going to cover an overall strategy.

I will give you a couple of advice on how to build a proper strategy and how to then use that strategy

to maximize your earnings and and that strategy.

I can also already, you know, give you a little spoiler right here.

This strategy will focus on publishing books in lots of different in lots of different kinds of languages

so that you actually earn a lot more money.

And we'll actually talk about the strategy more in detail later on.

But you don't have to spend any money on that.

It's a very cheap process.

But you should publish your books not just on the UK market and not just on the U.S. market, but actually

lots of different kinds of markets, because that's the best way to optimize your earnings.

All right.

So let's focus on the UK market.

Now, the next thing that we want to do is you want to click right here on keyword search and then we

want to type in a keyword that fits us well.

Let's actually go with the same keyword as the one we already analyzed, which is Andijon.

So we click right here on Google Get and Rockets.

And as you can see, there are a lot less terms right here.

And when we click on analyze, we can actually look at the numbers and see whether this market is as

interesting as the American one.

And as you can see, the numbers are a lot different.

So there are only let's say maybe there's actually only one niche that I would say is kind of interesting,

and that is this one right here, Dijana, for weight loss with graph.

And right here, this one has 75 pages, number of competitors, 213.

The earnings are pretty good, 523 pounds.

And the competitive score is at 25.

But as you can see, there is not as much potential, let's say, as in the American market.

Now, another thing that we see is the average number of pages is much, much lower.

So when actually a market becomes more saturated, what you'll see is that the books will basically

hover around a certain number of pages, because that is then the point where the market has really

figured out what is the length that every single book should have and in the American market, which

is a more saturated market.

We saw that the books are between, let's say, 100 to 120 pages or something like that.

That is what people want.

Now, when we actually look at this market, what we can see is there some books which are only 21 pages,

10 pages, 75 pages, 72 pages.

So these books are a lot shorter.

And the question now is, should we focus on these Shata books or should we actually use the same criteria

as we already focused on in the American market and apply them to this market?

Now, here's what I think about this.

And I think this is actually up for debate.

I assume that the UK market will actually evolve into that American market.

The American market is already more saturated.

It's a more mature markets.

And that's why we can learn from the American market and apply all of these principles to other markets.

Because when it comes to, let's say, behavioral marketing and the behavior, the customer behavior,

what we probably will find out is that people from the U.K. want books that are quite similar to people

from the US.

So my strategy here would be this one.

I would take all of the criteria from the U.S. market and I would apply them to the U.K. market.

So as we saw in the U.S. market, our book was 102 pages long.

That's the length, let's say, that most.

Very successful books chose.

So in my case, I'm going to go with 102 pages, even though when I look just at these pages right here

or the number of pages, I should go with something else, maybe a chart like 90 pages or something

like that.

I would actually take that number 102.

And I would apply that to that market right here.

Then the next thing that I would do is I would actually apply all the same criteria.

So I would look at the, for instance, competitive score.

I would look at the average monthly earnings.

And I would lower my expectation when it comes to average monthly earnings.

So in the U.S. market, I said that we should at least generate, let's say, five hundred dollars per

month when it comes to the top books.

Which, of course, doesn't mean that we're actually going to make five hundred dollars.

What I rather mean by that is that we look at these every month, average monthly earnings and look

for niches where we have at least, let's say, earnings or five hundred dollars per month.

And in our case, I actually lower that to around 200.

And in that case, there's actually only one niche that even applies to that.

And right here, we got this one with 523 pounds.

So what I'm going to do is I'm going to look at this right here.

And as we can see, the average page number is 75.

I would actually increase that a bit to, let's say, a hundred and two that I would look at these average

monthly average monthly earnings with 523, which is fine.

And then I would look at the competitive score, which is twenty five, which is very, very good.

And then I would look at the competitors, and in my case, I would actually go through all of these

and see whether there is perhaps more books that perform well.

And this is actually a problem right here, because there's one book that performs very, very well,

which is this one right here.

Hello, New Medium.

And the other books don't perform well.

So that is actually a situation where I would say, even though all the data looks incredible right

here, I would still not choose this book, because at the end of the day, the data that I generated

or the let's say let's say the the numbers that I can see right here, they're not homogenous enough.

There's only one book that performs very well, although the books don't really make any money.

Let's actually scroll down and see whether we can find any of the books that perform well.

And I don't think we will.

There's no book which even remotely makes anything similar to these 500, I think.

Twenty three or twenty six dollars that we saw in this ovu here, five, 123 pounds.

There's nothing similar to that.

So I would not actually go into that niche, because that doesn't seem to be a very profitable niche.

So let's actually go back to a keyword search and let's type in a more broad term.

So let's go right here again to keyword search.

And let's just type in notebook, then click on go get a rockets.

And as soon as we've done that, we can see that there are lots more lots and lots of more niches.

So one more thing that I would actually focus on if I were you.

When you go into a market which is not very saturated, which the UK market is, then I would actually

not try to focus too much on like publishing books in a very small niche.

I would go with some niches which are a bit broader.

Now, of course, always look at the competitive sport, but the niches can be just based on the term

a bit broader.

For instance, like notebook, it doesn't necessarily have to be, let's say, like a diet journal for

men or a diet journal for women, or it doesn't need to be a diet journal for men, like with a graph

in it or something like that, which is a very, very niche.

He would actually go with a lot broader terms.

And when we actually type in notebook, what we are going to find out is that a lot of these terms right

here, they actually are very profitable.

But the competitive score is very low.

Now, when we look at these terms right here, we'll see a lot of actually pretty good niches where

we have earnings of well above 200 dollars or 250, which was my rule that I defined for this niche

right here for this market.

And in my case, I would have then actually look at these ones right here at the competitive score,

and I would match these competitive scores with some very well performing books.

So, for instance, my case, this one looks quite interesting, 33, 4144.

The average length is 96.

That would maybe make it 102 again.

And then I would click right here on the competition.

And again, in this case, there are very few books that perform well.

And I think there might be a few books which perform very well, very well.

So let's scroll down right here and let's find them.

And again, in this case, this one doesn't seem to be too interesting.

So let's just go back to the keyword search and let's look for more.

So in my case, again, I'm going to go, let's say, to which one.

I think this one almost fits 199.

I think we can say that's 200.

So let's click on this one.

And there we go.

There are now a couple of books which perform a bit better, 200 to three at 57, 140.

Thirty five.

Forty nine, which is OK.

So maybe that would be a niche where I would actually publish a book, because it doesn't seem like

that there's just one person that, you know, makes all the money and there is no, let's say, competition

that does make any money.

So that would be an interesting niche.

That's actually scroll down.

Let's find a couple more.

This one right here, notebook for office.

I would click on that one and see this one doesn't look too bad either.

There, of course, better.

It but this one isn't bad.

So let's go to the next one, that's a notebook for students, but this one is not profitable enough.

Let's go with one of these maybe right here.

And I think well, let's see.

I think those ones right here should be fine as well.

I would always just go with a comparative score of less than 60, by the way.

And if it's like 45, that's pretty much below that, even though maybe in that case it could be lower.

Let's just go with 45 and see.

And I think this one business right here could be kind of interesting if there are more books down here.

There we go.

Which perform very well.

And this one would, for instance, be a niche where I would publish a book, because I can see again,

there are some books that make money and there are very few books that don't make any money.
