Now, for those of you
who don't know,

I'm Coach Cooper,
and I started this camp

as a place
for high school cheerleaders

to develop the skills
to make themselves stand out.

Each year, we admit a small,
exclusive group of cheerleaders

who have shown potential.

Now as most of you know,

at the end of camp,

we will have a showcase
for esteemed judges

from cheer programs
from all over the country,

and the athlete deemed
camp champion

will be awarded a full‐ride
college scholarship.

Now I'd like to introduce you
to our two team coaches,

Mary Parker and Beth Richards.

Hey, y'all.
Just call me Coach Mary.

Welcome.

So I've coached a few squads
over the years,

but mostly I love working
with young athletes

and sharing my passion
for this wonderful sport.

That's so sweet.

I'm here because I know
cheerleading inside and out.

Been cheering since I was 14,

and I am proud to be
the commissioner

of the National Cheer Group.

There's only one place to be,
and that's on top.

Not just of the pyramid,
but in life.

And this is Greg.

He's a medical student here

at Pacific University
of Southern California,

with an undergraduate degree
in kinesiology.

He'll be our camp trainer.

passed out in her car

after an erratic
driving incident.

When they ran a blood test,

they found illegal performance
enhancement drugs in her system.

Now, I tell you all this
as a warning.

We have a zero tolerance policy
for drugs and alcohol

here at camp.

your craft and work hard,
