her friend is here, in this car
over here, who just showed up.

And she said she will
not go into the house,

but she will talk
to us very quickly.

So, before we go meet jillian,
we're going to go talk to her.

Her name is jessica.

So, you're the first person that
I'm talking to regarding all of this.

I haven't even met jillian yet.

- Yes, she is.

inside the house?

[jessica] there's something
that's mad, angry. I don't know.

From your perspective,
is she in danger?

That's why I'm willing

because, honestly, I
was hesitant about it

because I just didn't
want anything to do with it,

but I do want her to
get the help she needs.

my ponytail pulled.

And I thought it was her
and I thought she was joking

because the way her living room,

where I was
sitting on the couch,

her kitchen, there's
like an area behind.

So, at first, I was
like, I look back

and I'm like, "jill?"

she wasn't even,
she was upstairs.

She was in a whole nother room.

So something yanked
on the back of your head?

- [zak] so, has there ever been,

has there been changes with her?

Her spirit has just kind
of changed. She's scared.

[zak] does she think
that whatever is in there

had something to do with her
father's death a few months ago?

She does, a hundred percent.

It's... I get goosebumps,
but yeah, she definitely

feels like the
incident with her father

and whatever's happening
in the house are related.

Okay. Well, we're going

As I enter the yard to
meet and speak with jillian

for the first time,

I noticed that someone
in the house is in distress,

and that someone is jillian.

Dealing with someone
living in the grip

of a powerful entity

There is a demonic entity in the
house that has a grip on the family.

in her living room,

uneasiness in the air.

you start noticing

that something was wrong here,

that something
was in your house?

Almost immediately.

When did you notice
things started getting bad?

After the virgin mary statue
went across my dining room.

was that statue?

[jillian] it's right where it
is right now on that shelf.

[zak] where were you?

[jillian] I was in the kitchen.

- [zak] and you heard this?
- I heard it.

And my six-year-old daughter
was sitting at the table, coloring.

And it flew out and your
daughter was crying.

She was terrified.

- Are you in fear for your life?
- Yes.

[zak] when you moved in
here and these things started

happening to you, did
you call your dad for help?

Yeah.

[zak] he passed away
a few months ago.

All right.

I know this is going to be hard,

but I need you to tell me,

do you think that this entity

played a role in
your dad's death?

- Yeah.
- How did he die?

In the middle of the night,
his stove was turned on

and his... The only thing
that burned was a microwave,

and it put itself out,

and he died of smoke
inhalation three days later,

after the fire in my house.

[zak] after the
fire in your house.

I had one here that was
the exact same thing.

[zak] the exact same burn?

[jillian] it was, yeah, it
was the same burner.

There was nobody in the
kitchen when it turned on.

- [zak] it turned on by itself?
- [jillian] mm-hm.

- [zak] in your house here?
- [jillian] twice.

- [zak] twice.
- [jillian] yes.

[zak] and then how many
days later did your dad die

because of the same
burner igniting his microwave?

Three days later.

- [zak] did your dad know who I was?
- Yeah.

And he said, "if I ever
die, you're going to have

to call zak to come
figure out what's going on."

those were his
exact words to me.

[zak] wow.

This hits me hard.

This is so tragic and sad
yet so ironic that her father

told her he would
specifically want me

to come help her get
rid of this dark entity.

And that's exactly
what is happening.

And it makes this very
emotional and very personal.

Were there suspicious
things that you discovered

in his apartment that
were strange to you?

Yes.

I find it strange that
while he was sleeping,

the stove got turned on.

There was bloody
handprints all over the wall

next to his front door,
right next to his door knob.

And they said he
couldn't get out.

And he died right
there in front of his door.

[zak] but his handprints were
all around the light switch?

[jillian] yes. And I also
asked why his handprint

was on the outside of the door.

And yet he was found inside
the apartment with the door shut.

[zak] one of his
handprints was found

on the outside
of his front door?

[jillian] yes.

[zak] it doesn't make any sense.

Exactly.

So, if his handprint was
on the outside of the door,

at one point in time,
his door was opened.

He could have gone to safety.

Yes.

So, either he went back in
or something put him back in.

You're on the phone
with him, telling him

about how your stove
mysteriously turned on

by itself, which scared you.

And then three days
later, that same burner

was the source of the fire

that ended up
taking your dad's life.

That's something
that we really need

to pay attention to.

Since moving in here,
how is your health?

I don't sleep at night. I'm
wearing a heart monitor.

- Did that just start?
- [jillian] yeah.

[zak] are you scared
for you or your family?

Yeah. All of us.

[zak] does the activity have
one area that it focuses on?

[jillian] a lot of
it is my room.

happened a few days ago?

A thumbprint or
something on your bruise?

Yeah. I was sleeping,
and I felt, like I woke up

because I felt
someone grabbing me,

like they were pulling my arm

and it, it woke me up and I got
up and I said, "wow, that hurt."

and then in the
morning, when I looked,

I had a bruise on my arm,
looks like a thumbprint.

I was in bed talking about
it one night on the phone.

And I felt someone
reach up behind me

and grabbed the back of
my head and pulled my hair,

like my entire head jerked back.

[zak] can I ask... Your
father, was he cremated?

No, I do have the
microwave here though.

- The microwave that caught on fire?
- Yes.

- [zak] from the burner?
- Yes.

[zak] so, ultimately, the
microwave is what caught on fire,

which eventually
led to his death?

[jillian] yes.

- Yeah, I can grab it.

that was the center
of this horrible

and fatal fire is rare,

not to mention the
energy it must be holding.

and inside of this
box is the microwave

that was on her father's
stove that ignited.

strong presence

of energy inside

on this seemingly
dangerous entity that inhabits

this house, and may
have very well contributed

to jillian's father's

It's just been a nightmare

in jillian's bedroom with

go to a hotel for the night.

Last night,

I had a little trouble getting
over what I felt yesterday,

and I haven't felt
that in that caliber.

It was really affecting
me and your friend.

[zak] it got us both,
which was highly unusual.

like I need to vomit.

my body took a beating today.

I had to leave the

in every bit of good

and positive energy
that was resonating

off of anything
beautiful, from a flower

to a nice tree,

to try to expel whatever
happened to me.

This photo, I really
haven't ever seen

anything like it before
that we've ever captured.

It was during a moment
when I was in your bedroom

and I was being badly affected.

[aaron] yeah. There were times
when that was happening, zak.

I was taking pictures
at that moment

and this is the one we got.

[zak] so, if you look behind me,

it appears as though
there's a brownish

kind of snake thing
going up towards my back

and almost wrapping
around underneath

in the opposite direction.

I've never seen
anything like this captured

on our polaroid photos.

That's the actual
photo, you can see it...

[zak] on the actual polaroid.

I really can't make
any sense of it.

It can't be debunked as any
type of lens flare anomaly,

any artifact moving
through the air, a bug.

Everything in the photo is
crystal clear and focused.

Your fist is doubled
up in this picture.

[zak] yeah. To me, this is
like some type of dark tentacle

of some type of
spiritual creature, entity.

And this was in your bedroom.

I know that whatever's in there

doesn't like anybody
being in my room.

[zak] that's, that's very clear.

I can already tell you that.

[jillian] and I, I don't..

I don't know. That's scary.

that. That's transparent.

It almost looks like the head
of a serpent or something...

the head of a snake.

That's exactly
what it looks like.

What zak's facing
is my nightstand.

And at the very bottom
of my nightstand is a box

of my dad's personal belongings.

[aaron] oh, wow.

- Your dad's personal belongings?

What of his personal
belongings is in there?

His, keys, his
wallet, his cell phone,

the money that was
found in his couch

has got his bloody
fingerprints on it.

And we are going to
do our investigation

tonight because we need
to capture more of that.

and because we believe

that this is a
territorial spirit,

because she just
started experiencing this

when she moved into the home,

I think it's bound to the home,

this neighborhood, this land.

So, I just wanted to go in
there with a boom microphone.

The sensitivity is very high.

So, you could hear a lot that you
can't hear with your normal ears,

and I'm only gonna

begin to challenge the entity.

I decide to send
aaron in front of me,

at which time I see a ball of
light shoot right into his back.

I just got a light behind aaron.

It was a flashing light.

It was right there,
like on this table

going into his back.

"blight or right blight,

bright light white".

acting very strange.

trying to use our energy

It was like a face. It was

shadow figure.

There were pieces of
white in it. It was weird.

That just scared me
a lot. It was right here.

something here. I saw it.

After I see this, it bothers me.

And as I checked the area
around us where I saw this,

I noticed the nightstand
that jillian was telling me

her dad's belongings
are underneath

and gave me
permission to view them.

[aaron] oh, I see

Jillian told us that
her father's belongings

And she said that

It is unfortunate
that aaron's camera

is a bit blurry at this time.

But as we reverse
and forward the footage,

you can indeed see that
the bloody dollar bill moves.

We aren't concluding
that this is paranormal,

but we never touched
anything in the case

while it was also
completely still.

So, if anyone comes in here,
he's still in that aggression feeling

to the point where he's
now battling a human male

who shows up in here
and it's really by mistake.

Aaron begins
using the spirit box,

but no voices are
coming through.

that I begin staring at billy.

I do not recall doing this

and watching this
footage is disturbing for me.

Billy is unaware of

which uses lidar and
3d infrared mapping.

With what just happened, him
and I need to sit outside for a little bit.

[zak] go inside with billy
and film him doing the xls.

to communicate with the figure.

For some reason, I

on the stove top that jillian
called her father about,

which mysteriously
turned on by itself.

Three days after that phone
call is when the same burner

in his apartment apparently
turned on by itself as well,

killing him.

I now remove the polter pod

and head to the garage,

and jay feel heat.

weirdest thing, zak.

about a fire demon.

[zak] I capture a female
voice saying "a demon,"

followed by a male voice
also saying "demon."

billy reacts to it.

[zak] as I placed the poulter
pod on the charred microwave

that was on jillian's dad's
stove when it caught on fire,

the same woman's voice
says, "the demon" again.

[rattling sound]

with enough disturbing
evidence collected to support

jillian's claims of a very
negative spiritual attachment

and invasion,

the next night we
decided to invite

a native american
shaman named shima,

who has conducted hundreds
of spiritual cleansings,

to help clear
this house of evil.

She is joined by her daughter,

sunshine spring, and
her husband kung lee.

I just want you to know
my goal here is to make sure

that your house is yours again.

- [jillian] okay.
- [shima] and that this is gone.

[zak] just as jillian takes
shima and her team

to her bedroom and shows
them her father's belongings.

[jillian] ouch.

[zak] she begins to feel
a burning on her chest.

- [aaron] for real?
- [jillian] I don't know.

[aaron] oh, [bleep]
you've got scratches.

- Jay! Guys, come here.
- [jay] what?

[aaron] come here
quick, all you guys.

She said, "something
is burning me,"

and she actually has
three scratch marks.

[zak] immediately, while under
observation the entire time,

jillian pulls down her shirt
to reveal three scratches,

which represent a very
common demonic marking,

the mocking of the holy trinity.

This three it makes
the holy trinity.

It is.

[zak] they begin the
cleansing process

using different techniques
within their culture

to clear the space
and break the bond

of this malicious
territorial entity.

[shima] what I was
doing with the sage

was pushing out your
fear, especially in your room.

I could feel it really
strong. You're afraid of it.

So, I was more
cleansing the area

from your fear as
well as the entity.

[shima chanting]

the crosses that I
put on your property,

it won't be able to come
back on the property.

[shima chanting]

[zak] since we
departed jillian's home

and the house has been cleansed,

she has, of course,
continued to mourn

the loss of her father jamie.

The good news is
that she hasn't felt

any dark energy since the shaman
performed the cleansing ceremony.

Although only a few
days ago, she woke up

with another bruise, resembling
a thumbprint on her wrist.

We may have to return again
if things continue to worsen.

Let's hope that they don't.
