into the pockets of gamblers,

thieves or confidence men.

That's true story is based

on the most daring
swindle of all.

One that ended in murder.

The first gold brick
scheme in recorded history.

It happened in San
Francisco in 1854.

(townsfolk chattering)

- What's going on here?

(friends laughing)

- Matt Wayne, it's

- It sure has.

- What are you doing
in San Francisco?

- I am the city marshal.

(Clay laughing)
