cooking garlic --

Albert starts selling the siding

Let's just agree
that it's a hack so nice

they invented it twice.

The idea behind this hack

is that you can
waterproof your shoes

by covering them
in petroleum jelly

and then baking them
in the oven.

All right, well,
let's get started.

All we need is a brush
and some petroleum jelly.

Of course.
Really work it into the seams.

I think it's important
to note, too,

that these
are canvas shoes.

That's good and gooey.

Yeah, I would agree.

Now, it's time
to crank up the heat.

So, you want to set your oven
to about 150 degrees,

pop them in there
for about 20 minutes.

And then
when it dries, well,

that should form a seal
which repels water.

And that's why
I can't chew gum anymore.

Whoa.

I think they're done.

Comin' through.
Hot sneaks.

Look at that.
The sheen is gone.

Okay, let's pour
some water on them.

We should probably run down
the parameters of our trial.

Yes. We are both wearing
a pair of white socks,

and we've added

The purpose of
the food coloring is that

if any seeps through our shoes
on our socks,

we'll know that
the petroleum jelly

was, in fact,
a ginormous fail.

is the baked shoe. Yep.

is good old normal shoe.

it's toning your hamstrings,

your butt,
your arms, your abs.

You're toning
all your posterior chain,

so, that way, you look good
coming and going, right?

You're gonna want to
start backing into the room

if you do
enough of these.

But this is
a totally viable substitute,

and it's a super easy-to-grip
handle, by design.

So, you can do 1,000
different workouts with this.

I'm gonna turn a basic gym move
called a mountain climber

into something you can do
in your living room

using these
paper plates.

So, the key is,
you get into plank position,

engaging your core,
and then you're gonna

drive your knees
in and out,

climbing that mountain.

So, it's bop, bop,
bop, bop.

That move alone

pretty much
takes the place of the gym.

Shoot back
into push-up position.

-Ugh.
-Great.

What's going on, kev?

Oh, I j-- I was not gonna do it
if it wasn't gonna ma--

You have to start.

Okay, so keep it down
nice and level,

and then you're gonna
drive your knees to your armpit,

that you could do
in your living room.
