hard-boiled eggs are delicious,

but peeling one?

Ugh, it's one of the most
eggs-hausting tasks

in the kitchen.

That's why today we're testing
out three different hacks

to cut your egg-killing
time in half.

This is no yolk.

egg-peeling egg-stravanga!

Today, I'm joined
by three eggs-perts

who certainly know their way
around a kitchen.

All the way from New York,
it's chef Christian.

Chef belle
from victorville, California.

Contestant number 3
is chef faith from Los Angeles.

Now, chefs, you each
have a different technique

to quickly and cleanly
peel hard-boiled eggs.

Let's find out what they are,
starting with you, Christian.

I like to call it
the crack-and-roll.

You just want to get a nice,
firm tap.

Then you roll,
and then usually,

it'll just kind of split
into like, one nice piece.

It's a pretty good-looking
technique, Christian.

Belle, you don't seem
too fazed.

It's a good technique,
but you know,

it's not as good as mine.

Oh. Okay. Well,
what's your technique, belle?

The spoon method.

So you're just gonna crack
it a little bit...

Stick the spoon in there,
and then you just kind of do...

Oh, that came off nice
and quick, nice and easy.

And it's not as messy.

Faith.

I've got
the sexiest method.

I'm a big fan of flair.

-Go on.
-The crack-and-blow.

A little bit
off the top.

A little bit
off the bottom.

Done and done.

I don't know if it's legal
to do in a professional kitchen.

It's more
of a home technique.

The rules are simple.

You each have 14 eggs
in front of you.

Now, the first
to peel all 14 eggs --

well, they're gonna
be the winner,

but if there's any shell
left on the egg

on the egg is damaged,
it is not gonna count.

So let's get crackin'.

In 3, 2, 1, peel!
[ Blows whistle ]

Oh, that was loud.

I hear some blowing down
at the end.

But so far,
no eggs in the tray.

It looks like belle
has her first egg done.

Christian, how do you think
you're doing, buddy?

Looks like faith
has one and just spitting shells

like they're sunflower seeds.

That is a tasty visual.

Slow and steady

Belle is just taking her time,
working that spoon.

Again, so far, I haven't seen
a single egg damaged.

If they pass inspection.

That was
what I was worried about --

the speed
with which he's moving.

It looks
like he's damaging the eggs

in the process,
and that is another bad egg.

Doesn't look like
it's going so good over there.

Quantity over quality.

Faith started off very slow

with her crack-and-blow
technique,

but she is catching up,
and fast.

Faith on the second-to-last egg.

Belle is working
on her last egg.

It's coming down to the wire.

inspect the results.

What happened
with your technique, buddy?

If you get a little overzealous,
you can damage the egg.

I do see a couple
little bits of shell,

but it's so minor and you're
so clearly not going to win

that I'm not gonna
call you on it.

how to blast those gutters
clean without even stepping foot

on a ladder because this --

what are we doing today?

We're building
a gutter blaster.

A gutter blaster.
Sounds safe, yeah.

Sounds much safer
than a ladder.

Okay, so,
what do we need?

We need a pvc pipe, 2-inch.

Extra-heavy duct tape.

-A couple of a fittings.

-Uh-huh.
-Electric leaf blower.

So it just so
happens we need everything

that is on the lawn
right in front of us.

-Yeah.
-Perfect.

How do we build this?
Is this complicated? Simple as can be.

So you take
your 2-inch pvc pipe,

you measure from your hip height
to the height of the gutter.

We have this one pre-cut.

You add a couple
of fittings to make a bend.

So, we do this.

And this guy here.

Take the shroud
off the leaf blower.

Take your pvc pipe
and then add duct tape.

Okay, so it's not even
a permanent mod.

We can duct-tape
this for the once

or twice a year we need to clean
our gutters then rip it off.

Exactly.
