The only way that she could still be alive

was if they had a working vaccine.

After that, the only ones leftwere kids.

Markus has beenkeeping her

as his ownpersonal secret,

figuring once he took overthe rest of the country,

he could get someoneto analyze her blood,

come up with the vaccine

and use itfor his own purposes.
